We used this card in our Garmin during a recent 10 day trip to Ireland. We drove over 1400 miles and it kept us from getting lost numerous times. Our only criticisms are that, as tourists, it would have been nice to have directions to more attractions and that it tended to take us on very narrow roads when there was sometimes a much better road going to the same destination. After a few days, we routinely checked its directions against the map. It was, however, invaluable driving through cities and towns and I would definitely use it again.

This software for our Garmin autopilot GPS system was wonderful. It is very easy to install. We could not have navigated around the UK without it. I will never drive in Europe again without having a navigation system along.

Italy Maps Fantastic.......2007-10-02
I bought the SIM card with the maps for Italy for my Garmin nuvi GPS. We used the maps in Rome, Venice, and all around Tuscany including Florence, Montalcino and San Gimignano. They were remarkably accurate (even in pedestrian mode in Venice), and saved a ton of fighting! I would highly recommend this product for driving in Italy, even in rural areas such as Montalcino. Just be sure to set your GPS to allow U-turns and allow un-paved roads!

The card worked great in my NUVI 350 all over Italy. I could not have made it without this item because the streets of Tuscany are quite unique. There are few maps detailed enough to be of use. This saved me a lot of time and frustration on vacation.

This review refers to NT version 9 which I have used for 4 weeks in May/june 2007 to drive both in Spain as well as in Portugal. It was very useful so oriented myself in Madrid and surroundings, Lisboa, Porto, A Coruna, Leon, Burgos, Zaragoza, Huesca, Sevilla, Granada, Malaga, Marbella, Caceres, Merida, as well as other smaller town and cities. The historical monuments and attractions are clearly and easily identifiable. Satellite reception was arguably better than in the US since even in narrow streets with tall buildings there was a waypoint. The directions to reach sites of interest were equally easy to follow as a pedestrian as well as driving a car. I saved lots of time and effort and maximized my time and enjoyment during my trip. The down side was 1) the data base of hotels, restaurants, entertainment and other services etc is very poor or almost entirely inexistent (as opposed to the US city navigator wich is almost 100% complete) and 2) Poor resolution when traveling in major roads in the countryside. Overall it was extremely useful but obviously the information it gives you is not as complete as the US city navigator. I have not tried other brands therefore I can not give a comparative opinion, however.
