Beware of Lexmark Products.......2007-12-20
I purchased this machine for small business use about a year ago. Lexmark has replaced the machine twice due to warranty issues, and now the 3rd one is jamming during scanning. The only way to get it unstuck is to unplug the machine, pressing the power button does nothing. I'm sure its just a matter of time before this replacement is inoperable. I will not be requesting another replacement from Lexmark when this happens, its not worth the headache any longer. I, instead , will be purchasing another machine from a different manufacturer. The only reason this product got 2 stars is because it was a good price for all of its functions, and because they Did replace the unit twice, but with little hassle. So that makes you wander how often are they replacing "bad" machines for them to do it with such little hassle??
Great and Fast.......2007-08-01
This Lexmark is approximately my seventh Ink Jet Printer. I have had good success with the others, but this new Lexmark is the fastest and best thus far. In addition, the FAX capability is phenominal. I serve on a Governor's committee and in the past have had to drive to review cases for my input. With my new Lexmark I have the pleasure of staying home and have the documents faxed to me and it is amazing the clarity and speed that it has. I have had some experience with Lexmark printers as my wife has one that came with her computer. After years of use, she too has had success and no problems. The others all worked fine, but my new Lexmark works excellently. I recommend consideration of this model when replacement time comes.

I bought this all-in-one about 1 year ago and it worked for about 6 months. After 6 months there was a message that said the print cartridge was low so I replaced them both with Lexmark cartridges. About 1 month later there was a message that stated the wrong cartridges were installed. I rechecked the Lexmark web site to make sure I had the correct cartridges and I did but I replaced them again anyway. Then the error message read 'right cartridge incorrect'. Nothing I did would correct the issue so I contacted Lexmark and they offered to replace the printer at no charge. The replacement printer arrived and did not look as nice as the one I had. It was a reman printer and would not communicate with the PC. After numerous chat sessions with the the Lexmark support staff and two phone calls later (took about 3 weeks) they admitted that the replacement printer was bunk and they would replace it. So I have two X7350s that are mere paperweights and quite possibly there is a third on the way.

to date my new all-in-one has operated in very good fashion, except for the two times i experienced "paper jams" and numerous sheets of un-printed pages continuously pouring out of the machine. the only way i
could stop this activity was to turn the printer off.
this problem has not happened in the last week or so, i didn't call lexmark support, for the problem may have been caused by the type of paper
i use "printworks" a recycled paper purchased from staples.
if the problem occurs again, i will report it to lexmark support.

I've been using this all-in-one for 3 months now. So far, it's been a great buy. I read reviews that it went through ink cartridges quickly, but with moderate use, I haven't noticed that problem. Color print quality is ok.. maybe with the upgraded ink cartridges, it would be better. But if I was worried about that, I'd probably have gotten a dedicated photo printer. It's cheaper to order prints online anyways.

I would not recommend to buy this product. 10 reason not to buy.
1. Cheap stuff

Fast, but not robust, scanner.......2007-01-31
I've been using Lexmark X7350 for about two months. I've used it extensively to scan piles of A4 papers (using the ADF) and to scan books of various sizes.
1) Quality. I've found the quality of the text scanning is excellent (I use Scansoft Omnipage 15 and not the software that comes with it). You see clear text background and well shaped characters. However it's bad when it comes to handwritten documents in pencil.
2) Speed. It's fast. Much faster than many Canon scanner e.g. Canon MP110. It takes about 10 seconds to scan a document at 300 dpi.
3) Software. The worst scanner I've ever seen. For example you can scan directly to PDF but you can't see the scanned pages until the creation of the PDF. That means you can't rescan a page individually. Also after a paper jam you have to restart the whole job process. The software doesn't save anything in this case. This is what the case with Scansoft Omnipage 14 or 15.
However it wasn't a robust machine for me. After a month of extensive use the scanner head (the part under the glass that moves to scan the paper) started to move incorrectly making the scanning output with distortions such as very dark or zigzagged letters. I had to send the machine for repair. After repair some of the problems remain. Now I'm thinking of buying a more robust scanner.

I puchased x7350 without doing any product research. A BIG mistake. It ended up that I had to sell it on eBay and bought another one instead.
Problem 1: The quality is not bad but not good. Comparing with the Canon MP600 I bought later, the x7350 quality is about 70% of MP600 in my judgement.
Problem 2: It shakes greatly when prints. All inkjet printers shake to certain degree when print, this is normal. But this one shakes more than normal. Comapring with the Canon MP600, x7350 is at least 10 lb lighter with cheaper platic parts.
Problem 3: It doesn't work with Linksys print server. After trying with many different ways and working with Linksys teck support, I gave up. The problem is that Lexmark use some non-standard or proprietary protocal so their printers only work with their own printer servers which are 3x more expensive.
So before you purchase this one or other Lexmark all-in-one, please check out product reviews from sites like cnet or others. I have learned my lesson.
