Excellent Hub.......2007-12-27
I have been using this hub for the last five months with no problems. I needed this hub because the only 2.0 USB port I had was on the back of my computer, the front ports are 1.1. Now I have 2.0 ports accessible and have had no speed problems nor the other problems in the negative reviews that have been posted. Great product and I would recommend this hub to anyone that is in need of increasing their conectivity with 7 2.0 ports easily accessible.
Good USB Hub!.......2007-12-26
It is a very good usb hub, not only the 7 ports, but also it's good quality, it is D-Link! It works great, plug and play, no problem at all. The price was the best you can find from the internet, very pleased.
I bought this before I read the reviews!.......2007-12-22
And I'm glad I did! I read the reviews while it was still in transit, and I was all prepared to return it. But it worked great! I bought to hook up a mouse and a webcam for an old computer (running Windows XP) that only has one USB port. It worked perfectly right out of the box, and setup took 1 minute.
D-Link DUB-H7.......2007-12-22
This USB device is an extention of the USB ports on the back of your computer and it has the added convienience of more ports where you want them. The DUB-H7 is very easy to install so anyone can do it and works very well, I would definately recommend this product to any one interested in connecting an additional high speed USB port to thier computer
Good USB 2.0 Hub.......2007-12-11
I now have three of these, one for each of my computers. I have had the first one for about a year. What can i say? You plug them in and they work immediately w/o any problems.

Customer Reviews:
Great price, great product........2008-01-01
This is a great USB 2.0 seven port hub. I really like the slimness of the hub. The best feature is the base that screws into a desk and keeps the hub in place on a desk.
Simply the best.......2007-12-30
Absolutely, positively the best hub I've ever seen or purchased. It looks and feels sturdy. Works well. Looks great.
I haven't fastened it down yet. It is currently on top of the base of my flat panel monitor. Worth every penny.
stopped working.......2007-12-30
Worked fine for about a week. Then some of the ports starting to fail intermittently. I returned it and got something else.
Perhaps I got a bad one..........2007-12-30
...as every other review glows positively about this, but I've experienced 'iffy' ports(live at one moment, dead other times, replugging the cord sometimes helps, other times not), and sub-USB 1.0 transfer speeds with this hub. I've tried different cables and the fault seems to lie with the hub itself.
Pity, because on the plus side, it IS a nice sturdy metal package that seems well built.
Great Hub.......2007-12-26
A great hub that takes up little desk top space, and looks great too. Also doubles as a night lite(HAHA)

Customer Reviews:
My Cyber Power hub is great!.......2008-01-01
I had been having a problem with the powered hub I was using with my computer, so I purchased this 7 port hub from Cyber Power. Not only does it work great but when I thought I had a problem, their customer service responded immediately. Turned out the only problem was with the owner not the product. So far it has worked great and is connecting a scanner, a printer, a camera and an external hard drive to my mac with lots of room for more. It also makes a convenient place to quickly plug in my flash drive.
Works as Advertized and Expected.......2007-12-11
I've been using the USB hub for about a month. It's working exactly as I expected. The lights probably are a bit bright if you're sleeping in the same room, so you'll want to turn it off in that case (or cover the lights somehow - some electrical tape might work).
Good Device-LED's dont shut off.......2007-12-09
This shouldn't be a big problem for everybody, but its a bit of a problem for me because i live in a dorm and the light could be a bit annoying at times. it would be nice if it had an automatic shut off, but thats just me.
Did not work with cool max hd 360.......2007-12-05
Installed easily. Connected my Coolmax 360 HD external drive to the hub and started a backup. Backup hung in less then 500megabytes. Re-tried 3 times with the hub each try was a no go. Tried 3 times without the hub backup completed without a problem. I returned the hub. Will try the Belkin next.
More Ports - Less Desk Space - Mikey Likes It!.......2007-12-05
Problem:
It seems there's always something else to plug in to a USB port on my laptop, but I've long since run out of ports for plugging. In desperation, I bought a 4-port hub (working just fine, thank you), but I still did not have enough ports to do the job. And the idea of daisy-chaining was not practical because my desk is already overloaded.
Solution:
Enter the CyberPower 7-port hub. Space-saving solution to running out of ports. And, with its own power supply, it's not draining power from my laptop. Works like a charm!
I did find the glow light annoying, but it's easy enough to unplug the hub when I finish working in the evening, so it's not a big issue for me.
I'm a happy camper now, and I whole-heartedly recommend this hub for those who need more ports in a small space. I should also commend Amazon for super-fast delivery. Problem solved!
P.S. Mikey is my cat. He likes this hub and shows it by periodically knocking it off my desk.
I would prefer that Mikey didn't like it!

OK Tiil It Burns Up.......2007-12-14
Bought this from Amazon on September 1, 2007. Worked great for about 3-1/2 months. It burned up (well, not quite, just got extremely hot) and quit working on 12/14/2007.
2nd Hub .......2007-11-29
This is the second Hub I that I purchased. Never had a problem with anything attached to them, Printers, External Hard drives, etc. Highly recomend.
Piece of Junk.......2007-11-08
The hub only works intermittently. I have to disconnect and reconnect it regularly to in order to make it work. Totally useless.
Very pleased.......2007-10-29
I use nearly all of the ports of this hub, with no problems. I had had problems with another powered hub before, in sync'ing my Treo - but not with this one.
problems with multiple devices.......2007-10-06
I hooked up a hard drive, iPhone, iPod, scanner, and mouse. All products worked, and even though the mouse and scanner are USB 1.1 and the other devices are USB 2, the USB 2 devices worked at high speed. However, occasionally the connection to one or more devices you drop for a second, or for just enough time for my computer to think the device had been unplugged and plugged back it. This is usually annoying, but problematic when it happends when using the device (e.g., when syncing the iPhone or when writing to or reading from the hard drive). This problem happened even when I unplugged the scanner and mouse and only left the USB 2 devices plugged in, and the hub was powered from the AC adapter when it the problems happened.
Too bad, beccause the hub is compact and otherwise convenient.

it doesn't do what the maker claim it does.......2007-12-21
I have plugged several devices such as my ipod touch and a portable hard drive and does not recognize neither of them. I thought it had something to do with an specific port but the same happens in any of them, I tried plugging them directly on the computer and they worked fine. It just can't handle having more than 4 ports used at the same time. Don't waste your money.

hub.......2007-10-05
I've been using this product for a few months now and I am very happy with it. It has solved my connection problems and is very reasonable in price and takes up very little space. It is easy to hook up and use.
A good USB hub.......2007-09-28
I am a long time Windows user. I bought this Tripp-Lite USB hub to expand my daughter's new iMac (OS 10.4). While I was researching the USB hub, I realize that not all USB hubs are created equal. I want something that will definitely work with the iMac even though I might need to pay a bit more. To my delight, the product works very well, and I have no problem to set it up. To balance its light-weight base, I use connections from both the front and the back and it stands up pretty stable. My daughter is pretty happy with it, and I am a satisfied customer. If the price could just come down a bit, I would definitely rank it 5 stars.
Serves the purpose.......2006-11-06
This works well. I havent had any issues. While its not a true 7 port as you can actually see only 4 USB connectors in your hardware configuration once you have this conected to your desktop/laptop. Tips over easily if the connections arent balanced front and back. Would have been good to have a LED for each port as a means to ensure the ports are working.

Great..........2007-12-28
I've had lots of USB HUBS before but this one is without a doubt THE ONE. Thanks!
The perfect USB hub.......2007-12-23
This unit has, essentially, no flaws.....it is small, pleasantly designed, and works very well. Two ports are on the top for 'jump' or 'thumb' drive easy access, five on the back.
A power supply (included) supplies sufficient 5 VDC to power all the USB bus needs of the devices included.
I now have three of these units; I'm very happy with them.
Good design but takes up too much room and my AC adapter failed!.......2007-08-12
NOTE: SEE post script for important point!!!
This is a really interesting product that has received rave reviews on other electronics purchasing website, so I bought it at a good sale price with high hopes. Now that I've received it, am a little underwhelmed. Certainly the design is useful, as others have pointed out, with the two USB hubs on top that make it quick and easy to plug in temporary items, like flash drives. And the connection to the computer is nice because it uses an additional mini-USB port on the hub, rather than taking up one of the precious 7 full-size USB hubs that I hope to use!
However, I was disappointed by two things.
1. This unit requires being plugged in to an electrical outlet for power. My previous USB expander did not require power outside of what it received through the USB connection to the computer itself. Now I have to find space in my overused power strip for this *large* adapter. (Some people say that these powered USB adapters are necessary if you are plugging in items that require power draw through the USB. I personally don't have any such peripherals.)
2. The size of the hub itself is pretty big and will take up desk space - it's maybe about 3" by 5". Again, bigger than my previous USB expander.
All in all, although I have not spent extensive time with this unit yet, it seems to do the job it was intended to do.
Post script: 3 months after buying this device, the power adapter stopped working. I am very disappointed with the quality of the manufacturing on this product and would lower my rating to 1 star if Amazon would let me. See the comment from someone under my review noting that theirs failed as well.
Great solution for labtop USB connectivity!.......2007-02-13
This is a simple and efficient way to increase the USB connectivity for a laptop computer. We just purchased a new HP laptop with only 3 USB ports. Between webcam, printer, wireless mouse/keyboard, and external hard drive, there was not enough ports on this brand new computer. By using this 7 port hub we got all the connectivity we needed. What's more, since the hub is self-powered with an AC adapter, we're not drawing power from the laptop's motherboard. We've used this for a month and have had no problems whatever.

Nice hub for the price.......2007-06-19
This is a nice little external hub for the price. It works just fine. The hub is a little too light for me. I have to velcro it to the desk to keep it in place if I am using all of the rear ports to keep it from falling off to the floor. I sold this to someone else and bought the D-Link 7 port hub instead. I only gave it 4 stars because it needs to be held down otherwise it could fall off if all the ports are in use.
Superb -- I'm very happy with this hub........2007-01-09
There are lots of devices like this out there, and this was the best price I found. Everything seems to connect these days by USB, and this hub is a great way to expand computers with only five or six built-in connections.
Would Not Buy..........2006-11-08
Plugged it in, it was fine. Went down to my computer 5 days later and the lights were off, no longer worked. Called IO Gear, took 5 days to get an RMA# so that I could send it back to them for repair. Dealer wouldn't take it back because I had it over a 7-day period (took me a couple days before I installed it) I'm in Canada, so I have to pay extra shipping to US for repair. I don't think it is worth it, I'll probably chuck it out and get another brand.
Looks cool and I like the design, except for the base, but the quality is very poor.

IOGear Hub - simple and reliable.......2006-11-03
I have used the hub for 3 months now and so far it has worked without any sort of issue. Good product for the price.
Looks good, but doesn't work very well.......2006-04-22
I bought this hub to go with my Mac Mini. It looks good, and I like the two front-facing ports (great for iPods and cameras). However, I've had nothing but problems with the devices I've used with the hub.
When trying to upload pictures from my camera, it will work great the first time. If I "eject" the camera, disconnect it, and then connect it again later, iPhoto hangs up trying to access the camera. If I connect the camera to a different port, everything works fine. The only thing that regains access to that port is rebooting the computer and the hub.
This same behavior manifests itself with iPods (a Shuffle and a Nano) and iTunes. iTunes usually just hangs up trying to access the iPod, forcing a hard reboot. Fortunately I haven't had to do an iPod software update through this hub - who knows what would happen!
When printing to my Canon S800 printer through this hub, the print queue will randomly stop itself for no apparent reason. Sometimes restarting the print job works, other times it simply spits out random parts of pages and stops again. Switching the printer to a different hub fixed the issue and now everything is working perfectly.
The only device I haven't had problems with using this hub is an external USB2.0+FireWire hard drive. It's much slower with the USB2.0 connection than with the FireWire connection, though, so I usually just plug it in with FireWire.
Anyone want to buy a used USB 2.0 hub? ;)
Product Description
This design gives you two ultrafast USB hubs in one: a stable base and a travel hub. The 3-port base can connect your larger more stationary equipment, such as printers and hard drives. The detachable, 4-port travel hub offers a great connection point for your mouse, MP3 player, camera, and fl ash drives. It's easy to take on the road, and simply plugs into a USB port on your laptop when you need it. Its rotating connector keeps adjacent ports free.
