Bluetooth.......2008-01-01
Great Adapter but the software it comes with is a trial so u have to get a good one. I would suggest BlueSoliel. Good Product though.
Very basic use only not good for audio.......2007-12-30
Its max data rate is 1 Mb.
I think this would work ok with a mouse or cell.
It did not work with a sony CMT-BX5bt.
A bluespoon connected well with the sony.
OK Only for Limited Bandwidth.......2007-12-15
I bought this item for use with a Wacom Graphire tablet. However, it turns out it can't handle the data rate for pressure sensitivity. The tablet/pen combination works, but only like a non-pressure-sensitive mouse.
The product otherwise worked well right out of the box, but had I known its bandwidth limitation, I'd have never bought it. The feature listing that says it complies with Bluetooth 2.0 is incorrect--if you look under "See more technical details," next to "standards compliance" it lists only Bluetooth 1.2. Even though it was such an inexpensive item, this kind of thing just burns me up. You get what you pay for in this case.
Works fine.......2007-12-14
Works just fine...arrived in a week; installed software on Dell XPS M140 laptop. Activated bluetooth on Pantech CB3; plugged in little module on the usb port; click click; no problem.
Works Flawlessly.......2007-12-11
product just arrived!
Whats inside the package: Installation mini-cd, Bluetooth USB Adapter
Was very simple to install on my WinXP machine. Package indicates it supports WinVista will try that out later on my nephew's pc. Ran the program that was installed and turned my phone's bluetooth on "find me" mode. In the progam simply clicked "My Bluetooth" and 'Bluetooth Device Discovery', it found my phone within 5 seconds. Paired the program with my device and it asked my permission on my phone. Gave it permission and it asked me for a code, I input a code that I just made up and then the program asked for the same code. This code helps prevent others from interfacing with the program when I have it on. Once it accepted the code I merely clicked on "Bluetooth file transfer service", the program then opened an windows explorer type folder listing all the folders I have on my phone. I was then able copy and paste stuff (images, ringtones, music) directly into that folder and it was then on my phone.
It really couldnt have been simpler. I literally was able to get rintones from my computer to my phone using this product within 5 minutes from opening the package.
In closing, great product, great price, would recommend to anyone looking for a Bluetooth USB Adapter to transfer stuff from their pc to their phone. It also works with Bluetooth 2.0 devices so I can listen to music on my pc with my bluetooth headset with ease.

The Best Bluetooth.......2007-10-18
If you are looking for a computer desktop bluetooth this is the perfect match.
It works great no problems when installing and has fast conection (USB port 2.0)
Just got it, but works great with windows Vista .......2007-06-17
Just download drivers from their site, and you're done!! Does what it said. Also great for A2DP (stereo bluetooth headphones). I'll check my the review later to add more info.
Good Product.........2007-05-07
Overall this is a very good product. I was looking for dongle which supports MS Bluetooth stack and this is the perfect one.
Works like a charm.......2007-03-23
This bluetooth dongle works like a charm. The included software package makes it easy to configure the system to do just about anything you could think of with bluetooth, from answering your phone through the computer (don't know why you'd want to though...) to easily moving files back and forth from device to device (what you're probably buying it for).
It's a bluetooth 2.0 device, so there is a nice strong signal to connect to (of course, the other device should be 2.0 as well to take advantage of the extended range), and it fits well next to other USB devices on my computer (unlike some other dongles I have bought in the past that nearly take up two ports worth of width).
Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking to add Bluetooth to their home or mobile pc.
Good product, driver installation may be tricky.......2006-10-16
I purchased this product to pair with a Bluetooth headset/headphone to listen to music and be able to talk on Skype while away from my computer. The device is performing fine, however the setup has been a bit problematic. When you plug in this device (or any other Bluetooth device for that matter) to a pc with Windows XP (Service Pack 2), it will be recognized and set up to work with Microsoft's Bluetooth driver. However Microsoft's current driver does not support audio communication with headsets, so if you use a Bluetooth headset you will need to install the adaptor's own driver. The driver software cd comes with the product but it may be worthwhile to check MSI's website for more recent versions of it. My experience with this driver has been less than perfect; I had to uninstall/reinstall several times for the device to function with MSI's driver properly. Also you may need to manually disable Microsoft's driver after this installation if it is not disabled automatically during the installation of MSI's driver.
Overall I am happy with my purchase and I think this is a quality product.
I also want to add some information that can be deemed useful by future buyers of this Bluetooth adaptor:
Two characteristics you may want to consider when purchasing a Bluetooth adaptor are its data transmission speed and its range.
The data transmission speed of a Bluetooth adaptor (a.k.a. dongle) depends on the adaptor's protocol version. The products that sell today are either Version 1.1, 1.2 or 2.0, with the last two being more dominant. Version 1.2 operates at speeds up to 0.7 Mb per second and Version 2.0 operates at speeds up to 2.1 Mbps (3x Version 1.2 speed).
Bluetooth adaptors also have a 'Class' rating which determines their range. Oldest (and now obsolete) class is 'Class 3' which had a range of 1 meter (~3.3ft). Today you can find products that are either 'Class 2' or 'Class 1'. Class 2 Bluetooth devices transmit up to a range of 10 meters (~33ft), while Class 1 devices transmit up to 100 meters (~330ft). Classes are not version specific; older Version 1.2 adaptors are Class 2, more recent 1.2 and 2.0 Versions are Class 1.
An important thing to keep in mind when buying a Bluetooth adaptor is that neither the connection speed nor the range of your network will fully be determined by your adaptor. After all, it's a network and the receiving device also has a thing to say (bottleneck issue). A Class 1 , Version 2.0 dongle, for example, will not perform up to its maximum range (330 ft) or maximum data transfer rate (2.1Mbps) if it is paired with a receiver device (headset, printer etc..), that is Class 2 and that is Version 1.2. The speed and range of such a network will be closer to the inferior values in each category, in this case closer to those of Version 1.2 and Class 2. However such a network should still work fine because the version and class protocols are backward compatible; units with newer protocols will work with units with older protocols.
To sum up, buying the adaptor with the best features will not necessarily make your Bluetooth network faster or further reaching unless it is paired with a receiver device that is equally advanced. Today, for example, almost all Bluetooth headsets you can find in the market are Class 2 (for practical power saving purposes, since these devices need regular charging) and hence will not work at distances much more than 33ft even if they are paired with Class 1 adaptors.

No 64 bit drivers!.......2007-07-01
I'm sure this device works fine when it works. It comes with a somewhat old version of the WIDCOMM bluetooth drivers, that doesn't include drivers for XP x64. I found a newer WIDCOMM driver (v 5.0.1) after searching around, but even though it has some x64 drivers, it does not have one for this device. So, I am unable to use it with Windows XP x64.
No need to pay more........2007-04-20
This item is dirt cheap, and is working perfectly. I bought it so I could transfer files from my nokia to the computer. From opening the package to being fully operational, it took me about 5 min. Windows XP recognized the device, and I didn't even need to install the driver that came with it. There is no need to spend more on a bluetooth v2.0 dongle. In addition to being a great product, "dongle" is really fun to say.
