I absolutely love this IPOD Touch, I can download movies with cucusoft.com, besides the ITunes movie download and also can download my own produced family movies.
The music and the easy access to ITunes is the best! I just can't stop playing with it. I take it everywhere I go.
The picture quality is awesome and I also upgraded my earphones to BOSE and now feel like I have the ultimate machine!

Nice design, BUT limited functionality for the cost.......2007-12-25
This is a really nicely design piece of TOY. But the screen is unnecessarily big for song browsing, and way too small for web browsing. It is missing the Mail application where this device would be most functional in WiFi covered areas. Web pages look cool to browse at the beginning, but after few weeks, it becomes eye-hurting to browse full pages. Provided UN-upgradeable 16 GB flash memory looks large enough at the beginning, but it can hardly store few thousand songs and couple of videos let alone video podcasts. However, credit to Apple, I know that as of today nand-flash memories are limited in size and pricey. So I guess we have to wait for pricing and storage issues, but what about the mail application. Apple could have easily squeezed it in without extra cost. This is simply business strategy to push iPhones as much as possible.
It is worthed every penny if it is sold for less then $250 (for 16 GB version) or $150 (for 8 GB version).
So, price to functionality ratio is low. But this is a great TOY...

Why download from itunes worthless songs when you can download from Amazon and get MP3's and use them on ANY player. Yeah I will buy proprietary products and be forced to use garbage software.

Amazon you have done a serive to these Mac users. You taught them that they are the ones buying junk ipod products. People read and listen, you have a choice. Do not buy apple products they only work with other apple products and since apple has about 5% of the market.... Oh yes for you, NBC cut it over to their website and opened it up to the rest of the 95% of the market. So they have not lost anything, they have made more money
That is what you get for buying worthless ipods and Apple products. Apple is proprietary and that is why the Amazon Unbox does NOT support it. The .wmv files can be played on a lot of software, such as Toshiba, Creative, iRiver, Archos, Zune, and any player that is playsforsure. As with the ipods and apple files, .m4p's, can ONLY be played on Apple software.
It has not gotten old hearing people just like you complain about spending a lot of money for nothing! LOL LOL LOL

Ipod Touch--Excellent product!!!Have nothing but good things to add about it. I also own a ipod mini (when they first came out), a classic, a nano, etc. and by far this definately exceeds all of them. Very easy to use, has all the features of the other ipods and more.
