UNMANAGED SWITCH... DOESNT HAVE WEB INTERFACE.......2007-08-27
Ok.. this switch is unmanaged. there for it does not have a web interface. So the 1 star rating is meaning less, That user left the same exact review to ever gig switch linksys makes. It is a nice switch for a small office. I use it in my home office since it is very quiet, unlike my old cisco. The through put is not on par with cisco, but it is also only a 1/4 of the price. It is faster then my 2924 and 2960 (10/100).
Doesn't work with Firefox -- or ANY mac browser!.......2006-11-22
The fan is surprisingly loud, even for a rack-mounted device intended for a machine room.
However, the deal breaker for me (I'm returning the unit I bought) is that the web management interface does not work with Firefox. In fact, it works ONLY with IE on a PC.
Given that many other Linksys products work with Firefox, I was pretty surprised.
Linksys needs to have a talk with the clue fairy and cut some new firmware.

I've had this switch for 2+ years, Great box, no problems, except the fans were the first thing to go. Easily unbalanced, or the bearings go from being on 24/7. Probably not needed in a typical household situation, but I wanted to be ready for streaming video gadgets. Now that it's past the warranty, I'd like to where to get some quiet, low-speed replacement fans for this great box.
