The head set/microphone looks well made, but I haven't used it yet. Amazon wanted a review so I am writing this one from the road. Earlier reviews said it was a good product for the money and I have no reason to doubt that.

for its price i can't really complain. it works good. the microphone receives well and the headset works. its also plug and play which is another thing going for it. But as a gamer (i wear this for long durations) these headsets are not comfortable to wear. you'll find your ears hurting if you keep these on for about an hour. so spend that little extra for a more comfortable headset if u plan on wearing it for long durations
p.s. this will probably outlast the more expensive stuff. i must have dropped this, stepped on, and rolled over a few dozen times and it still works.

I downloaded the free program "Wink" which can make flash video tutorials by capturing the screen actions and your talking into the mike.

I was coming from a Logitech $50 headset and to wear this is like heaven in comparison. I only use it for gaming and it works great. It has great flexibility since it comes with a very long cord (but sits neatly with a slack spindle) and also the ability to go usb or analog via optional adapter included. You also get a microphone muff. I tried listening to some music on them for giggles but found they sounded very bland. However, I only need them for gaming so this a non issue for me. They are comfy, light and work very well.

These headphones are the best I've ever owned for my PC. The sound quality on these is very high. They are well constructed so you won't have to worry about them falling apart like many other cheaper ones. They are also extremely comfortable after long periods of use. I highly recommend these if you are looking for a quality pair of PC headphones with a mic.

The headset works well, after you get used to the odd headband, which sits in front of the ear pieces, and as such on normal headsets. You need to get comfortable with putting the band farther back on your head than you instinct may be... to keep if from falling forward.. but then it goes well.
The only issues I have is the long chord, the cable wrap is just too heavy, so I took it off, and now I've got this ueber long cable to get tangled up in things. And the other issue has nothing to do with the headphones, but the fact that the laptop or computer doesn't always have the properly colored connectors, so always having to find the right plug to fit in the right socket for mic vs speakers is a pain.

I'm not an audiophile; I'll get that out of the way right here. This review is from the viewpoint of someone who can appreciate good sound as well as a good value.
These headphones are expensive, and I was semi-afraid that I was just buying into a name when I bought these. I can safely recommend them, despite the price, because they are worth the cost for a few reasons:
- If you find yourself using headphones for more than a few hours at a time (work, games, whatever) then you're, no doubt, familiar with how your ears will start to hurt after a while, and you'll want to take them off for a while. I'm not kidding at all when I say that it feels like they've put pillows on the ear pieces. This is easily my favorite part about these headphones. Very, VERY comfortable.
- The sound quality is better than any other pair of headphones I've owned. To be fair, I don't own any that would claim to be better in the first place, so the best I can say here is that they're clear and responsive.
- The mic quality is good. I haven't had any complaints from people on the other end of a conversation.
- The included soundcard module (which, of course, you don't have to use) I'm not sure about. I haven't directly compared with and without. It's somewhat of a pain when you have to go into sound configuration settings to switch between headphones and speakers, if you use both.
- These are also "open ear" - If you're playing music loudly, people close by will be able to hear it faintly. It keeps outside noise out relatively well (I wouldn't use them for sound isolation, though.)
All in all, highly recommended.

This product has to be used in conjunction with a voice recorder. I was sent the wrong recorder for my iPod so I have been unablke to test this product thus far.

I used it a couple of times and it worked fine but then my teenager (very responsible with equipment and such) simply put it on and it snapped in half like a twig! (She's a slim teen so it's not like she's some huge guy with a big head and neck to cause it to break.) I would suggest getting something a little more sturdy.

Hey idiot, it would be nice to know what kind of jacks this has. If it has a 2.5mm jack, you won't be using it for gaming, you will be using it for your phone. If it has 2 stereo jacks, you won't be using it for your phone. Use your head a little before you post. You don't have to try to be cool and just post an idiotic response to someone's quite valid question.

It's a headset with a Mic.
If you don't know what that could be used for, you don't need it.
How about for gaming? Or perhaps if your phone has a plugin for a headset. Maybe you could use it instead of having to hold the phone up to your ear.
Use your head a little before you bash a product or Amazon for not telling you what to use their product for.
