Very Useful.......2008-01-01
I'm a digital guy. I use Outlook to organize my life - contacts, appointments and tasks. But when I'm on the fly, and someone suggests a meeting or a "to-do," I can't stop, unpack my laptop, wait for it to boot up, and check my schedule. This PDA synocronizes perfectly with my computer's Outlook and has all the tools I need to stay organized when I'm on the run.
palms rule.......2008-01-01
After being a Palm Zire afficionado, I finally upgraded after a portion of my Zire screen went dead after 5 years of use. I absolutely love the Tungsten E2- it is user friendly, and all of my records synched to the new Palm w/o any problems. They designed the on-off switch to a better postion than the Zire so it doesn't get bumped on accidentaly.
works -- most of the time, but . . ........2007-12-30
Loved it initially - lets me store ready-access data (I'm an emergency physician and keep the PDR and Tarascon and Merck data on it) and to-do lists and a fair calendar. But when it decides to lock up (about every 2 weeks, have no clue as to why) it takes repeated re-boots to get it to work again. And the battery -- my unit lasts for perhaps an summed hour (at most) of intermittent use. I finally got tired of this, bought a new battery and installed it, and it still drains the NEW battery in an hour. If it leave it sitting in off mode for more than 24 hrs, the battery is dead. In spite of all of this, the thing is still LIGHT YEARS ahead of the HP IPAQ I foolishly bought a few years back.
Love it!.......2007-12-30
Best price around by $50.00
This was a replacemnent for an older palm and it is exactly what I needed for the price.

Customer Reviews:
This is a good palm.......2007-12-31
I have had the palm tungsten E for a couple of years and it is a good model. The screen if vivid, the battery life is adequate, and the preinstalled applications are useful. When you compare the screen to
less expensive models such as the Palm Zire, the difference in crispness
is completely noticeable.
The missing star comes from the downside of the product where the power button will eventually break but you can still open the palm with the quick launch buttons.
I love my palm!.......2007-11-06
I've had my Tungsten E handheld for over two years. While it is possibly outdated since it is older, it is still exactly what I want in an ebook reader. I have been able to sync and load ebooks to my Tungsten E. The memory card slot allows a memory card up to two gigs. i read ebooks on my Tungsten in Adobe (pdf) and Mobipocket (prc) file forms. I also have documents to go and that allows me to utilize Microsoft word.
I consider this the best gift my husband has ever bought me.
Great Product... HORRIBLE RELIABILITY.......2007-09-08
I am a very busy facility manager, and I need the Palm operating system (OS). I believe the Palm OS is superior to any other PDA OS, and I do not have the time to learn something else. This product is exactly what I need badly, but it is just too expensive to only last from 6 to 18 months. I am painfully aware of this because my fifth (5th) one of these (always purchased new) just quit.
I do not abuse these units! I keep them from moisture, shock, and vibration. All I do is use them gently, a lot. Most of the failures have been related to the beeper which I rely on as a meeting or deadline reminder. Other failures have been battery related. The latest failure is the centering procedure for the stylus operation being off ¼" too high on the display no matter what I do making the alpha-numeric touch screen function impossible to access.
If this product cost less than $50.00 knowing it will only last for months not years, I may again consider it. I guess I am saying it is cheap junk only worth $50.00 at retail.
I seriously considered some of the Sharp and Casio models, but I need a program like Documents-to-Go so I can upload my large database of Excel notes which I can search while away from my office. I wound up purchasing a "like new" Handspring Visor Prism for just over $100.00.
If anyone knows of a (reliable) color PDA that runs the latest Palm OS, and is not expensive, please post or comment to this message. This information would not only help myself, but many others...
By the way, I would not recommend wasting your good money on this unit!
Palm Tungston e.......2007-09-05
I really like the product. It works well. The only drawback that I've found is that the battery doesn't hold a charge very long. I previously had the Palm Tungston e2 and never encountered this problem. I could use the unit days without recharging it. This one needs to be recharged within the day of charging. I will inquire about this with the seller. Aside from this, as mentioned, I love the unit.
9/28/07
I have since contacted the retailer (Renew Electronics) who provided an explanation for my delema and even went so far as to offfer me a replacement unit! I haven't returned the unit nor has there been any real problem with the battery since. Renew said that heat can shorten the battery charge life and since I've been careful about that, I've had no real problems since. Yes, the model is discontinued by Palm but Renew Electronice provides an even better warranty than Palm does (Palm provides a 90 day warranty, Renew provides a full year warranty!). And, as I've already found out, they stand behind their product. The only difference I've detected between the 'e' and 'e2' is the Blue Tooth compatability which I personally have no use for. Aside from that, I am totally satisfied and highly recommend this unit and especially Renew Electronics as a retailer!
what a piece of junk!.......2007-09-05
I bought mine 2 years ago for Christmas. This thing has been a nightmare. For one the battery life stinks. It could just be mine but it has a battery life of a couple of days. It has NO PERSISTENT memory! So when the battery goes so does the info. I though I could do a work around by making sure it was charged every night. Guess what? I never was able to consistently charge it and then I was back to an empty palm. Heaven forbid you go on a trip and forget the charging cord. AND to top it all off it has a battery attached to the motherboard so if you want to change it you must either send it into palm or by another and do some work to open the case with non standard screw driver and then solder a connection to the batter.
Yes sure it has a beautiful screen and great functionality but without battery life it's only use is a paper weight.
So run away - very far away.

PalmOne 3208WW Tungsten E and Zire Essentials Kit .......2007-10-27
Excellent product in mint condition and accessories very helpful. I love this product and I can use it with a bluetooth as well, my next purchase. Received very quickly, within 3-4 days!
Nice Accessories........2007-07-18
The case fits my organizer very well. It doesn't make it any bulkier either. Nice case.
They need to tell people........2007-05-12
I believe in the title of the Essentials Kit they need to tell the customers that the PDA is NOT INCLUDED. I got the Essentials kit thinking that a pilot was included. When it got here I was shaking and shaking the box, but nothing came out but the kit. I was embarassed and irritated. They need to put it in BIG BOLD PRINT. DOES NOT COME W/ A PDA.
Not bad for the price.......2007-02-16
Has all the essentials. Not much use for the pen/stylus. Wish it had replacement styluses (or is it styli).
Better off buying the items seperately.......2007-01-13
I've had the palm kit for over 2 years and the case is now starting to break on the edges from flipping it open anytime I use it. This is from normal use and not from even flipping the case open and holding it open. It seems the edge of the case is re-enforced with a piece of wire and the leather has worn away on both sides and exposed the wire to the point where it has broken on both sides.
The stylus/pen thing is not very useful and is a bad design. I'm not really sure which function I'll get when I turn and push down the button on top.
As for the screen protectors, I can tend to be a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to having no bubbles under the clear coat but that wasn't even the thing I was most disappointed with. I was going through a new protector almost every month because it would get more and more difficult to write in the same spot due to the wear on the protector. In the end I bought a Boxwave screen protector and I am much happier. Although the Boxwave screen protector is more expensive then all the other screen protectors, the one protector I have had for a little over a year is still going strong.

palm holding case.......2008-01-01
This is a very sturdy case, but I find it a little tricky to get the Palm situated in it and close it shut so it doesn't accidentaly open on me in my purse. Sometimes it gets knocked by other items close by and it opens up. It needs a better designed locking/closing system to it.
Warning Achilles Heel!.......2007-12-11
What a horrible product! I read the reviews and decided to purchase the case anyways. It had potential; nice styling, strong and sleek. The case worked well for about 4 months and guess what...the latch broke. The latch is the Achilles heel! I contacted Palm and their computerized customer service replied that I could send it back for a $25. dollar fee and they'll look at it. I'm sure you'll be like I was and purchase the case anyways. So be it... and "I told you so" (in advance).
Hard cover for Tungsten E2.......2007-11-22
The case is wonderful and does what it was designed to do; protect my E2. My only complaint is that is difficult for me to open. Don't laugh!
I have arthritis in my hands and it is tricky for me.
A Good Case.......2007-10-10
I am happy with this case overall. I have used it for a couple of weeks and it seems sturdy. I wanted something to protect my Tungsten E2 because I carry it around a lot and no matter how careful I try to be I am prone to dropping things...or knocking them over.
The case opens and closes easily. I worried that it seemed to easy, but it has never opened accidently. I tend to use another stylus I have by my computer rather than the one on the Tungsten because it is not readily accessable in this case - nor is the heaphone jack or sync/charge ports. The tungsten is attached to the case like the flip cover that comes with the tungsten when you buy it. Just flip it out of the case to access ports - a little awkward but do-able. It's the only down side I've found with this case. There are 2 slots for SD cards - a nice feature.
Overall, I like the protection this case offers, and that was my main objective. I got my money's worth.
palm hard case.......2007-09-06
The case is great but a new one would be more than I would pay.

If you lost your original charger or simply want an extra one for the office, this one does the job.

Great Deal!!!.......2007-04-05
If you're not wanting to fork out the big bucks to replace the battery in a PDA that isn't in stores anymore, but you also don't want to fork out 300+ dollars for a new one, this is your best bet. Soldering the battery is easy. Just buy a wood burning iron in the craft section at walmart for 10 bucks, it does the job nicely. the kit comes with the screwdriver you need to get those tiny screws out, which is a plus, but you will need like a flat head screw driver or something thin that you can pry open the shell with (do this slowly or you will screw up everything on the board). To get you use to soldering, just practice unsoldering the wire connected to the old battery. Remember where the wires are connected to, or you will mess up your PDA. Charge from 2-3 hours.
All in all, a great way to save money and get your money's worth out of the Tungsten E
Customer Reviews:
Cheaply made piece of junk.......2007-07-25
My first impression when I opened the package was a feeling that I had made a purchasing mistake, as the cradle and charger weighed next to nothing. On first attempt to use this product, I had trouble even getting it to seat into the cradle. The power plug and the data connector were crooked and did not line up quite right with the corresponding ports on the Palm Pilot (Tungsten E). It also seemed that the data connector was not sticking far enough out of the cradle to make a good connection. Once I managed to get it seated, I connected the wall charger and the USB cable. It appeared to be charging, but the USB data cable was faulty and did not work (I swapped it with a known good cable in the same USB port and was able to sync without problems). Not sure if it was the fact that it wasn't sticking out far enough, or if the wiring was just faulty. In any case, this product flat out didn't work. I tried to straighten out the data plug and the housing just practically fell apart. And at such a low price, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Currently priced at $8.99, but lists for $59.99? Give me a break..., The high list price is only there to make you THINK this is a quality product you are getting at a great sale price. Actually, it is a cheaply made and poorly designed trinket (Made in China). I didn't bother trying to get a refund (not worth the hassle) or a replacement (no thanks!). My opinion: don't waste your money. Spend a little more and get something that actually works!

m130 serial cradle.......2007-12-23
Can't review this as I ordered a serial connection instead od a USB connection The company has been a tremendous help to me and has sent me a replacement USB one free of charge
Fussy- poor design.......2004-02-03
The cradle is very finicky. The fit is not very tight and I have to press down on the top of the palm pilot to ensure the contacts are touching. Plus, it has it's own power plug AND the USB connection. I'd recommend the USB cable instead. It connects snugly, easily and is only one thing to plug in, plus very reliable long term. Charges fast too. This cradle just fell short all the way around.
cradle not compatible with tungsten !!!!.......2004-01-12
The fact the cradle was listed as compatible, but was not was a great disapointment for me. I shop at amazon often and have had good results till now. Maybe it would be better to go a retail store to purchase these types items.
Not compatible with Tungsten E!.......2003-12-17
I can't comment on the quality of the cradle but I have one comment. I ordered the cradle as it was listed as an accessory for the Tungsten E. However, it does not fit into the cradle and Palm doesn't seem to currently produce one compatible with it. Just want to warn others so you don't have the hassle of having to send it back.
No problems--works as advertised.......2003-09-02
I bought this extra cradle for my M515 to have at the office. It works just as I needed it too--no problems at all. I needed to sync with both home and office computers, not just a charging cradle. The only downside it that I have to continually take the PDA out of it's protective carry case to put it in the cradle--at home and office. It sure would be great if there was a cord that could hook up to it without removal.
