I followed some advice that I found online and actually mounted this upside down so that I didn't need little pegs up front (instead using the lip). Stand fits pretty well and seem really sturdy.
My only complaint is that it is pretty darn deep but I can live with that.

I am the DIY type, so I usually tend to build things like this myself, but this shelf works as advertised and it is worth every penny. My center speaker sits now on the top of my Panasonic LCD projection TV, where it should be and even the wife does not complain ;-) ...

I have a Sharp 37" LCD and it is very thin. I was going to ship the stand back because the legs were about 5 inches from the tv. She suggested moving the legs forward a few holes. So far it looks and seems fine. I have about a 10lb speaker on it as well as a HD Cable receiver. If they crash, I will lose a lot of money and possibly damage the TV. I will see how it lasts for about a month, and if it works I will probably buy another.
Upside-down mounting the way to go!.......2007-11-25
As suggested by another reviewer I tried mounting the shelf upside down on my Sony KDS-60A3000. Good idea! The shelf is "invisible", with only a slight lip extending over the silver bezel of the TV. The pegs designed for right-side-up mounting would have extended into the screen.
As far as those reporting the shelf collapsing, I have not had any problems. Just don't over load the shelf; be certain that all set screws are tight and clean the area where the pads connect to the back of the TV.
Highly recommended...and you get better sound when you get the center speaker above the TV.

First off, let me tell you that this is an excellent shelf for mounting a center channel speaker above your TV. I am using it to mount the center speaker in my Onkyo SKS-HT540 speaker system. The speaker is a little over 8 lbs. so it is well within the weight limits of the shelf. I chose to mount the shelf upside down as explained here by another reviewer as this method looks much better in my opinion. Since the top of my TV is quite a bit higher than ear level I had to angle the center channel speaker down quite a bit. This concerned me because I was afraid the speaker may slide off over time from the vibrations. Just to be on the safe side I used the pins left over from mounting the shelf upside down as a barrier in front of the speaker so that it has no way to slide forward and come crashing down on my glass TV stand. That would not be good at all.
One final note that may be of interest to some people. I bought this shelf to go on top a my very slim Sony Bravia 52" xbr2. This is where OminiMount could slightly improve this product. If they just included some longer legs with this unit than the 4" and 11" ones that they have in the box, then they could market it as being able to fit any TV as opposed to just projection, DLP, cabinet-style TVs. I knew about the mounting problems I was going to run into beforehand as this product was clearly not intended for slim flat panel TVs, however, it was pretty much my only option. So, a quick trip down the road to Home Depot and $7 later I had my mounting issue under control. I bought two 3' aluminum rods that perfectly matched the diameter of the receivers that the stand uses. I cut a couple of inches off of the rods so that they were the right length from the base of the shelf to the top of the TV stand. Worked well for me, was easy to fabricate a quick fix, and is very sturdy.

A bit pricey but it was well worth it. Installation was easy especially if you already have your TV mounted in the wall studs. Just follow the same studs. This is mounted below a 40" Sony and looks great. The color is a dark wood brown. Not exactly black but you can hardly notice unless you have a spotlight in the area. Anything smaller and the mount may look too big (my opinion). Anyway, it looks great! As far as the WAF (wife acceptance factor) it rates very high! Four stars because of price. If it was a in the $150 price range it would earn 5.

OmniMount MWFS Adjustable 2 Shelf Wall System w/ Cable Management
I spent days reviewing other products before settling on this one even though this was the most expensive. The product arrived the day after I ordered even with the free shipping. Packaging was great and the assembly was fairly intutive. There are no written instructions just pictures. That is my only gripe. The construction of the frame is solid.
There is plenty of room to hide the cables. The overall finish is very good.
I intend to post a picture after I have all the components fully setup on the shelf.
Great LCD wall furniture!.......2007-12-02
I purchased the Moda series wall furniture from Amazon along with an Omnimount tilting wall mount for my Samsung 40 in. LCD. I found that the Moda wall furniture was fairly easy to install, but it is essential that you measure very carefully in order for the top wiring cover to be flush with the bottom of the TV so that the wires don't show. Other than that it was pretty simple to mount the frames, install the shelves, hook up the components and hide the wires behind the wiring covers. It looks like a very professional job and it only took about two or three hours to do everything. There is one issue that is rather annoying. The whole idea of buying the Moda system was so that I could hide the wiring without cutting a lot of holes in the wall. It certainly hides the wiring except where the power cords exit the bottom of the bottom wiring cover. So, I still have some unsightly wires and my surge protector extending below the bottom of the wall furniture. I fixed that by placing a leather bench under the wall furniture, which gives it a nice look but still doesn't completely solve the wiring situation. Other than that, I'm quite happy with the entire set up. I recommend it.

The TV ends up high on the wall, and the mounting instructions were confusing which is why I give it only 4 stars.

It's a great shelf, instructions are better than anything I'd expected. EAch shelf holds 100 lbs! The template you put up for drilling is brilliant, pretty tough to screw this one up. Takes a bit of tinkering to get the shelves adjusted evenly but not really that much of an issue. Looks fantastic on the wall too.

I mounted a pair of these shelves under each other. I love the shelves overall however be advised the channel for routing wires in is very small and many common plug end will not fit. You mayeed to cut wires and put on new plug ends. This is the only negative - other than this these are very nice and well made.

I had my home theater professionally wall mounted. I didnt get to use the built in wire guides so I can't comment about that, but overall the shelf is very sturdy and good looking. I have a receiver, xbox 360, vcr, cable and a dish network box all on these shelves. Looks very nice indeed. Good price at Amazon. Remember to mount this into drywall studs only.

For the money, this audio shelving system will not dissapoint most. It is very clean looking and rather easy to install. We had to make some minor adjustment due to our home being CBS construction and do not have the ability to screw the brackets into the studs. The one draw back was the design of the cable management system. It only allows you to pull the cables from the very bottom or top of the brackets and not in the middle where the shelves and thus the components sit. There is a little wire showing but for the money it is worth it.

this tv stand does what it suppose to do, hold a lcd tv. nothing out of this world when it comes to luxury. to put together does not take much and can be easily asamble in less than 15 minutes. as far as price goes; just like any other tv stand, expensive/over price!

Well designed and rugged stand. Easy assembly with the only tool required (allen wrench)included. I have this stand loaded with heavy satellite equipment and other video devices as well as a 42" Panasonic plasma TV. It holds it all easily with no sign of sagging. I highly recommend this stand.

This is a companion product to the EFABII Audio Base. You combine the base and up to seven shelves to make as big of a unit as you like. You can also substitute reduced height or extended height pillars to adjust the spacing.
The shelf itself is very well made. MDF, but high density and the surfacing and edges as very, very solid. Not the junk that looks like contact paper which Sauder and others use. Each shelf has a good-sized hole in the back to route wiring and keep everything looking neat.
The pillars are heavy gauge steel, with welded inserts about 1/8" thick to accept the threaded studs that hold them together. I think the studs must be a metric size--they're thicker than a 10-24 but thinner than a 1/4-20. About 4 mm thick, I'd guess. The ends of the steel tubing are rolled to keep from scratching the shelf, and the finish is a textured hard enamel.
Assembly is a snap. Once you've put the base together, you just add studs in the ends of the pillars, drop the shelf on, and screw on the next set of pillars. At the top, you use the pan-head allen machine screws instead of the studs.
Only downside is that the satin finish on the shelves can show fingerprints. However, they do wipe off easily.

This rack is easy to assemble and has capability of adding more shelves. I added another 9 inch shelf and the optional casters to make it easier to move around. One of the better racks out there for the price i'd say.

We needed sturdy, attractive shelves to hold our radio receiver, DVD player, DirectV receiver and speaker switch box in a spot next to our TV. This 4 shelf system is easy to assemble, and can be adjusted for the height of your location. We only used 3 shelves. It looks great, and seems to be very adequate to hold the components. The price was excellent; after I did an extensive search for something to hold all the boxes on the internet and in local stores, this was definitely the best choice, and very reasonable. Delivery was quick, and fun to watch as it worked its way across the country.

Compact, Minimal, Efficient Shelf Stand.......2007-10-14
Overall this is a well designed product that does the job it was designed for in an efficient and unobtrusive way. The one problem with the design is that the rear feet are two small diameter leveling screws... Instead of bare metal the heads of these should be nylon and much larger diameter to protect the floor or carpet. The front feet, by contrast, are large and made of nylon for good protection. The assembly instructions are rather cryptic, and the illustrations are tiny and dark... hard to read. I have uploaded some photos to amazon so as to show various stages of assembly that are puzzling (but Amazon scrambled the sequence of these fotos, so they are not in order). Be sure to start all screws carefully because this is soft aluminum alloy, and you don't want to cross thread the screw holes! I have also uploaded a photo showing physical dimensions of the shelves. In summary, large receivers and Blu-Ray DVD players will fit with room for the cables in the back. There is a 50 pound load limit per shelf, except on the bottom shelf. I did cuss a bit during the assembly process, but the finished product is great.

Assembly was a little tough (turning the bolts) but it is a great little cantilevered design which adds to and simplifies a decor. The open design allows for the task of connecting the maze of cables from tv, satellite, dvd, stereo, vcr, and surround sound speakers. The hollow support frame does a great job of concealing the bundle of cables.
