great little unit,,,,just right for the beginner, my grandson has already started his treasure collection.
Metal Detector Junior from AMAZON.......2007-12-05
Don't order Bounty Hunter Junior Metal Detector - Model-BHJSfrom amazon! They tell you it is in stock, charge you and then show an estimated delivery of more than 3 weeks. They say you can't cancel the order, but no promise of delivery before Christmas. If I do get it, I'll review again and let you know how my 6-year old grandson likes the product.
My grandson the Treasure Hunter .......2007-11-03
It looks great. Perfect for an 8 year old. Haven't used it yet. It's a Christmas gift. Wouldn't be right to review until he starts treasure hunting. It was on his LIST.
Cheap but works moderately well.......2007-07-22
I purchased this model metal detector because it is cheap and I figured it would be adequate for the job I had in mind - finding locations of pipes that indicated property lines. It did that just fine. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who is serious about finding things. It would be OK for kids, which is who it is designed/advertised for.
nails nails nails.......2007-04-14
I bought it to clean up my yard after a roofing job. I found a ton of nails and a few other things that I have lost over the years. Great for the kids to treasure hunt too!

great wheel.......2007-12-18
I play nascar 2002 on my pc with this wheel. It works really good and it only took a second to be up and running.
very realistic.......2007-11-02
I purchased this for my 14 year old daughter because she loves everything electronic. I was very surprised when my 5 year old son started playing and really got the hang of it quickly. I'm not into the whole video thing but this kept my children entertained for hours and that was worth its weight in gold.
Adds so much to driving games.......2007-09-11
I recently bought this wheel for use with my PS3 and have been delighted with its performance. It makes a world of difference in GT HD and DiRT making them much more immersive. The force feedback is good, especially in GT, and that games shows how effective a good FF implementation can be - I can't wait for GT5.
This wheel has all the buttons of a PS3 controller except the PS button so compatibility is excellent. It only supports 200 degrees of motion compared to the 900 degrees supported by some wheels but I don't consider that a significant loss. Racing cars have much faster steering ratios than road cars and 200 degrees lock to lock just feels right in racing games.
Guide to using wheel with PS3.......2007-09-10
Although the wheel has quirks with both the PS2 & PS3, the wheel is still definitely worth its price! With a full day of trials & errors, I was surprised that the force feedback was equally inconsistent with the PS2 and PS3. Sometimes I started the game and the wheel worked fine with force feedback; sometimes the wheel worked but the force feedback didn't; sometimes the wheel only worked for multiplayer mode but with no force feedback; and sometimes the game didn't work at all - all this for the SAME game. As you can see, quite frustrating, but when it did work, it's was SOOO awesome that I decided to experiment all day with it. I did more testing with the PS3, so I'll focus on that. For the PS2, some games do state that you must plug the USB into the top port (for older systems - for newer PS2 systems, I don't know which is the preferred port). Similarly, the PS3 has a preferred port.
THE BEST CONFIGURATION FOR THE PS3 IS: 1. plug the USB into port #3 (port #1 also works, but I had more success with #3), 2. turn on the system manually - DO NOT use the PS3 controller to turn it on! This allows for the wheel to be assigned to controller #1 - MOST driving games can not be played in single-player mode when the wheel is assigned to controller #2. Unfortunately, the wheel does not have a PS button to re-assign the wheel or quit the game. If your system was on and a controller was previously assigned to #1, then the wheel usage will be inconsistent. Therefore, it's best to plug in the USB in port #3 and turn on the system manually. This way, I was able to reliably play games with the wheel with force feedback.
GAME COMPATIBILITY: Currently, I only have 8 driving games. The most reliably were Burnout 3: Takedown and Midnight Club 2 (I would assume later games in the series would also work, but not sure about earlier games). Gran Turismo 4 and Need for Speed 2 also worked fine, but it sometimes took several attempts to start the game. Like plugging new USB devices into a computer, sometimes the drivers load correctly, sometimes they don't, so try several times. These 4 games all worked with the wheel with force feedback.
MotoGP3 and Tourist Trophy worked with the wheel, but without force feedback AND it required Pelican's PS2 USB adapter ($15) to be plugged in also. Pelican's PS2 USB adapter is worth it though 'cause it was the only way I could adjust the sensitivity of the wheel. Once the sensitivity is adjusted, it should remain the same as long as the system is on (you can change games and have the same sensitivity). However, I am not sure if the wheel returns to default sensitivity once you turn off the system.
Dirt for PS3 worked wonderfully - great force feedback and a joy to drive! However, World Rally Championship was the MOST inconsistent (even though Logitech stated that it's compatible). Sometimes it worked with the wheel, and sometimes it didn't (actually, when I got this game to work, Gran Turismo didn't work).
You can see the full list of supported games (up to end of 2005, they haven't updated the list) on Logitech's website. The manual really sucks.
As for people deciding between this wheel (EX) and the Driving Force Pro, the main difference is that the Pro has 900 degrees turn for SOME supported games (see Logitech's site). While 200 degrees turn for the EX model is arcade-like driving, 900 degrees turn is kinda overkill. Some purists say that 900 is like simulating a race car, but you can only comfortably turn the wheel 270 degrees in each direction (try it for yourself and you'll see) - therefore, 540 degrees would have been more ideal. I think this is a practical observation since several reviewers indicated that it was hard to adapt to the Pro wheel. Besides, the blue rubber of the EX model looks cool and the stick shifter of the Pro model looks bulky (EX's paddle shifter works fine). The final difference between the 2 models (besides price), is the vibration/ resistance motor. The EX model weighs in at 9 lbs, while the Pro weighs in at 15 lbs - that 67% heavier because of it's stronger motor. You may get better vibrations with the Pro model, but many reviewers complained that it was noisy. I did not find that problem with the EX wheel.
900 turn.......2007-05-03
ok force feedback, have to get use to it. 900 turn, it's better..

pretty good.......2007-12-14
i am an equipment junkie and i end up owning a lot of keyboards. i have a fatar weighted controller. roland d-50, a roland a-20 that i bought on e-bay. this keyboard is nice to play. i use it for recording on sonar with reason as a soft synth. i am not very skilled using all the controls but it just plays well. i tried a smaller keyboard who can play piano on just 24 keys? i can't. you need some room to move. this keyboard lets you play.
Great for budding keyboardists.......2007-11-17
The M-Audio Axiom 49-key MIDI keyboard is a great device for someone looking to learn piano or keyboard. 49-keys is probably the minimum amount I'd recommend for learning keyboard/piano because any less would cause some problems going up and down octaves. If you've never heard of a MIDI keyboard before, it is powered and hooked up to your computer via USB. A program is then ran on your computer that lets you record and edit the audio. The Axiom has 8 drum pads, which are great for saved beats and a TON of customizable knobs and sliders. It is very simple to use, although many of the programs can be confusing. Overall I would recommend the Axiom if you are looking for a cheap MIDI input for your computer or you are looking to learn the piano or keyboard.
Excellent midi keyboard at the price point........2007-06-23
First things first, I'm no pianist. I purchased this controller to work with DAWs and soft synths. So far I'm really pleased with the purchase. The faders feel a bit dry but function nicely. The rotary encoders support absolute and relative CCs, keeping parameters from jumping when changing presets. The keyboard keys feel solid and aren't springy like the Keystation line. The blue display is informational and easy to read in light and dark environments. It's also nice the keyboard is powered off the USB bus. No need for a wall-wart adapter.
The reasons I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 instead of a 5 are the following:
1. the keyboard advertises aftertouch. This is not polyphonic aftertouch, but the less expressive channel aftertouch. Say you play a C3 and hold the note, then hit a C5 and add aftertouch only to the C5. Aftertouch is not applied to only C5 but to both C3 and C5. This can be a bit surprising the first time you try it.
2. No printed manual. A paper manual is something I like getting with hardware.
3. Pitch bend only sends coarse adjustments. This makes the pitch bend knob a bit sensitive to expressive play.
4. Customizing the layout of the instrument requires M-Audio's Enigma software. Personally I don't really like it and wish the Axiom's didn't have a black box sysex format. It'd be nice to customize the layout of the keyboard w/o using this clunky app.
I still really like this keyboard. It feels solid, plays well and is a good mid-entry midi keyboard/controller.
Best controller I've ever had..........2007-06-15
This midi controller is perfect for producing on a budget. It pays for itself within a few projects. The pad triggers are perfect for drums and measure the velocity MUCH better than my old mpd 16 ever did. Has plenty of faders and endless knobs(perfect for vst's). It's easy to map the keys if your NOT running on vista (possible, but not as easy). I'm still waiting on drivers from m-audio, but besides that...it's a damn good controller...

Ameriphone Handset Amplifier.......2007-12-04
This product is working well for an elderly parent with hearing aids. Even with the hearing aids in and on, it was difficult for this person to hear telephone conversations, which meant few relatives or friends could call to visit. Now, with the in line amplifier, the phone has become a useful tool again, with the added benefit of no bothersome feedback through the hearing aids. Good product that does what it advertises.
Warning.......2007-06-10
Warning - This amplifier cannot be used to supplement a hearing aid. Feedback is intolerable. And the product cannot be returned!
Fantastic product!.......2007-01-05
Bought this for my boss who uses 2 hearing aids. He absolutely loves it and it does not interfere with his hearing aids. The volume control is excellent and you don't need to use it on the highest setting it is so powerful. You can also adjust it to accomodate the pitch of different voices. Would highly recommend this product for those who cannot hear well.
BEWARE.......2006-12-13
Beware when you buy this item. It may work fine IF you plan to use it with a phone that DOES NOT have the keypad in the handset! The prod. spec states that it is compatible with most phones, and portable. Upon receiving the item and reading the fine print in the package, I found it not compatible with cordless phones. Prod specs DO NOT tell you that! Prod. specs are misleading. I will not buy anything from this seller again, due to their misleading info.
Works Great - Very Loud.......2006-04-26
I recently purchased this little unit and it works very well. You are able to control both the volume and the tone so that you can remove any "hiss" from the higher frequencies. It is very loud when cranked up. It has a boost function which is even louder - but I haven't even needed to try it. The battery is voice activated to save energy. Runs on an ordinary 9v battery. The only thing I would have liked better is if it was the color black instead of white.

Excellent device.......2007-11-07
I ordered this based on reading other reviews and googling numerous tech blogs, many of which recommended it highly. I bought it to use with Skype in my apartment. Easy to set up and works like a charm, I've never experienced any problems with it. As an added bonus, the battery life is great- I've used it for days without having to re-charge.
Platronics voyager headset.......2007-10-27
I bought this for video conferencing with my family who are in England. The inbuilt microphone on my webcam was too sensitive, and I was getting a lot of feedback. I couldn't seem to adjust the volume/mic levels so that there was no feedback and I was still audible, so I decided to purchase a separate microphone. I bought a cheap CyberAcoustics desktop microphone which was useless for my purposes. The wire was too short (long enough if you're sitting right next to the computer, but I had my laptop connected to my TV and I was sitting on the sofa) and it barely picked up any sound unless your mouth was within centimeters of the mic. Still trying to get away with a cheap microphone, I purchased a CyberAcoustics headset (similar in style to the platronics headset). The wire was even shorter for this microphone and it was near impossible to get it attached to your ear in a stable configuration. The volume level and quality was fine, but I don't know how anyone could get comfortable with that contraption. I then decided to purchase a wireless headset as a last attempt to buy a decent micropone and I bought a Platronics Voyager. It suited my needs perfectly. The volume level was perfect, and the sound quality was very good. The unit is very comfortable to use, so comfortable infact, that on occasion I have accidentally left it on for several minutes after a video call has ended. You can easily switch sound output from the PC speakers to the Platronics headset and vice versa, and the wireless range was very impressive (and if you don't have bluetooth built in your PC there is a USB device for the wireless connection included). It comes packaged with a small circular base for charging the headset which I found to be convenient. I've also used the headset for my phone (a Nokia) and have never had any problems. Overall an excellent headset at a reasonable price that I would strongly recommend.

Voyager 510 Wrls Bluetooth Headset with USB Dock
Great price came quickly and works great
Plantronics 510.......2007-09-17
This is a great product for using with SKYPE and with your cell phone. It cuts down on outside noise and the microphone is great.
Good bt handfree but not good USB BT handfree.......2007-09-07
I bought this product because it has USB to connect to your computer. If you use this handfree with cell phone it works perfect, but when you connect it through USB it takes many cpu cycles, making my computer slow during voice chat. I noticed this behavior while using Skype. Other than that, it installed automatically on my Vista box, without any drivers.

Customer Reviews:
Doesn't work for our 42 in TV.......2007-11-20
Make sure it fits your TV. Our 42IN TV is too wide for this even though the size is according to what it is stated. Then, we have to go through the hassle of returning it.
Nice and simple.......2007-11-07
This mount was easy to install. All the screws were labelled and easy to ID. It is a simple mount, but it does the job well. I would buy it again.
Works great.......2007-09-10
The mount was very easy to install and appears to be well made. The tilt function works fine, but if you have big hands it will probably be a squeeze to get your hands between the TV and the wall to adjust it.
Worth the money.......2007-06-15
This tilting wall-mount was a cinch to install (just find your studs!) and is well-made. Note that it is just long enough to cover two adjacent studs, so they need to be in the right place. I wanted the smallest mount I could find so that it wouldn't be as noticeable behind the TV. On my 37in TV, I only had about a inch of horizontal adjustment once it was on the wall, so measure carefully. On a smaller TV, you'd probably have more adjustment.
The "P" in the model (ST640P) means it has normal (I assume Phillips) screws. The ST640 (no P) has tamper-proof Torx screws, but there is a wrench included in the box to use them. Mine was the ST640, and went up with no problems. You don't want to lose the special wrench, however!
Overall, I'm very happy--Price, Quality, Ship time.
Univ Tlt Wall Mnt for 22-49IN Screen/w/one Touch Tilt.......2007-05-22
I found it easy to install and it works great. And I am not the most mechanical person in the world.

A good unit except for one feature........2007-08-23
This Cannon fax is a good stylish machine that produced clean fast faxes. It has a major drawback in my application in that it always answers the call on the second ring making it the primary device in my system. I use the fax on my office land line which has an answering machine as part of the phone system. I need to have the fax wait for me to answer the phone (or the answering machine answer) befor the fax picks up. The fax machine also needs to automatically take the fax from the answering machine when the fax tone is recieved. I know this is a specific function, but I need it to work this way. The Cannon unit won't do what I need, so it is now in my son's office, and I purchased a Sharp UXB700E which has an adjustable number of rings befor answering. This solves my problem.
One more note, it is unnecessarily complicated to print stored faxes should you run out of paper.
walter.......2007-05-13
Very nice fax. Does everything one would wish for in a fax. Only minor annoyance is that the faxed sheet comes out at the bottom of the front of the machine and scoots onto the floor.

It's leather but that's it.......2007-09-30
I bought this product to protect my Zune. Within a month the leather had ripped apart at the bottom leaving the case useless. The entire time I found that the case was difficult to use and didn't fit quite right. The holes lined up with the buttons and screen but the player kept sliding out so nothing would line up. Go with a silicone case instead because those stay in place.
