Connectivity problems..........2007-09-09
It's possible that the problem was with this specific unit, but the joystick was subject to frequent disconnections apparently tied to RF interference. Despite changing the joystick's channels and using numerous alternate batteries, as well as removing most interfering devices away (really, only 3 nearby items transmitting on the 2.4 gHz range), the stick still proved to be too intermittent. Subsequent purchase of the Logitech equivalent proved to be more stable, without any interference.
This is a shame, too, as the stick was built beautifully. It certainly has a superior throttle control to the Logitech, as well as a great layout and overall construction quality. The Saitek software works quite well, and the profiler was easy to use. The movement on the stick was also quite solid, being superior, in fact, to the overly light touch required for the Saitek X52.
Saitek Cyborg Evo Wireless.......2007-05-13
Nice joystick, but I found it to be a very glitchy stick. Did not always do what I was asking it to do (i.e. not firing or rotating until several seconds after initiating the action). I also found myself having to "reset" the stick very often by removing the batteries and reinstalling them. I would not recomend this stick. I cannot offer any other suggestions for a wireless stick since I replaced it with the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. The Logitech has been great and gets 5 stars from me and it costs less.
Exactly what I was looking for........2007-05-09
I like to pull out Rogue Squadron and X-wing alliance every now and then. I had saitek joysticks before, but this wireless is perfect. Quick response, and excellent battery life.
Ready to use right out of the box.......2007-01-11
I've owned other Flight Sticks but had to install drivers and calibrate them. I took this out of the box and plugged the receiver into a USB port and XP found new hardware and installed all drivers required. I never did install the software that came with the Flight Stick since all features needed for my Flight Simulator where already available. Its simple to adjust for comfort and can be setup for left handed operation. The use of the controls is simple to use and easy to reach. The best feature is no wires laying around making it an easy component to keep out of the way when not in use. So far the battery life has posed no problems. The only problem I had was inserting the receiver into an open USB port. My USB ports are close together and I had to arrange my other devices to free up an open USB end slot. It wouldn't fit between two USB device plugs because its too thick for the spacing on the back of my 4 year old desktop. I recommend this if you want to reduce the clutter of wires and just hook it up and start flying. Remember that software is included if you want to customize the Flight Stick.
the wireless varient ot EVO lution.......2006-10-28
The only advantage to going wireless anything is so when you put your gaming control junk on your keyboard tray and remove your mouse/keyboard you don't have to futz about with wires and risk jarring your PC and hard disk in a messy house. Most games requre the use of the mouse in the interlude between missions as in Dark Star One or even Falcon when you need to pick a mission so you need quick swap from mouse to joy or pad. Same with steerin devices(no one has invented cordless steering/pedal controls). Otherwise it is merely a frivolty and money down the crapper. If you have Logi's wireless anything(incl G7) your problems are inamate the signals cross at every opportunity. FSS software only adds to the prob if you have an FSS Saitek keyboard in that it only detects one "TYPE" of device at a time and only the keyboard unless unplugged, a big fat mess! In otherwords, if you have a Saitek keyboard a Saitek mouse and a Saitek Joystick and a Saitek gamepad, the keyboard and mouse are all that is recognized if you unplugg them Only the joy and pad are recognized and only if Logitech's own problems don't arise.(assuming one uses logi inputs).

Very poor at fine control.................2007-11-12
Yes, It's adjustable
Yes it has pretty blue lights.
But that's it on the "pro" list.
This stick has one very very major drawback if you are using it as a "Flight-stick":
The deadband around the neutral point is HUGE.
So, starting with no pressure on the stick - you make a fine correction by pushing / pulling and......nothing happens.
So you push / pull a little more and......nothing happens.
By now you've moved the stick-top a full 1cm, and THEN you get a reaction, or rather an over-reaction. By now it's too late.........
I've tackled Saitek at length about this issue, but they insist that it's normal. There are other issues like the wandering rudder, which can be cured in the short-term by editing the registry, but this excessive deadband has no fix.
If you fly flight/combat simulators I suggest you avoid this stick at all costs.
Saitek Cyborg Evo Force.......2007-09-28
Excellent made stick.. Very stable, heavy weight, hard to tip over... Force feedback is excellent, it was the selling point for me and im not dissapointed. The adjustability of hand rest and top buttons made it feel like it was made for my hand.. so comfortable i felt like ive been jerking this stick around for years the very first time i gave it a good yank session. The only down side that i have found is that i occasionally lose calibration during a game after a couple of quick back and forth type motions, very rare though. Overall i Love It.
Responsive?.......2007-07-07
I'm really surprised at the high ratings this joystick has received. I had high expectations after reading all of it and went out to get one.
Out of the box it looked great; Loads of buttons and even a little blue LED... if that sort of thing turns you on.
Then I calibrated it and tried all its buttons. It had several forcefeedback simulations - a helicopter, machine-gun, even what seems to be a toilet flushing. Still great.
Then I installed a couple of flight simulations games and was totally dismayed at it's response, or lack of. It works great it you intend to sweep left and right accross the screen, but if you need accuracy, pinpoint targetting... forget it. There is no response for movements of an inch or so.
I had better response from my genius joystick that cost barely 1/3 the price.
Have never received the product.......2007-06-01
I ordered this device. Paid for it. Established that it was never shipped due to low stock. And have never heard anything since!
Great to use with Microsoft Flight Simulator.......2007-02-15
Installs easily, works fine. A little big and clunky to have next to a laptop. I was satisfied. My hands are small and even with all the adjustables set, it was a stretch for me to use it with one hand.

Complete Control.......2007-12-19
I use this unit to fly combat missions in Microsoft's various Flight Simulators and in piloting a Mech during Mechwarrior battles. The unit makes the transition easily. I don't have to worry about the technology in my hand, it just performs. Overall, it provides a flexible (programable) platfrom that delivers impressive gaming performace. A great device.
Love this stick!.......2007-07-09
I bought this joystick for my husband about two years ago and will be buying another soon. He loves it, has had no issues until the rest broke off. But beware, do not make the mistake of buying it here! You can get the exact same stick from the Saitek site for THIRTY DOLLARS, not the almost $100 that some dipsticks are trying to sell for here.
Buyers Beware.......2007-06-24
As of writing (24/6/2007), there are, to my knowledge, no drivers for Vista.
If I'm wrong, please let me know where to get them (I have tried the obvious places i.e. Saitek, MS, and FS sites).
Saitek Cyborg Evo Joystick.......2007-05-27
This Joystick is awesome for my kids games. Its easy to reprogram the buttons (if you want). The install CD/software helps configure the way you want it to work and it can be adjusted for adult and little hands. SAITEK makes a great product.
Sooooo nice! Not heavy enough though........2007-05-02
This is sooo easy to set up and so versatile. Great joystick. The only problem with it is that its hard to keep it on the table because it picks up so easily.
