Great sound, painful fit.......2007-12-20
I picked these up locally, having wanted a set of wireless headphones for my office.
- Sounds great. I start to get choppiness about 50 feet away from the base, but that's plenty for me, I really just want them for the 6 feet in my cube!.
- Battery life is OK, not great. Lasts maybe 4 hours of continuous play, which isn't long enough for me.
- Fit is horrible. My ears ache after wearing them for 15 minutes. They don't sit on my ears right, constantly having to fiddle with them and adjust them.
I would not buy these headphones again and would not recommend you do so.
These definetly fit the bill!.......2007-12-20
I was a bit worried after first purchasing these but I'm completely satisfied now that I have them up and running. I listen to the radio through my computer at work and needed something that was reliable but didn't tether me to my computer by the cord. These headphones work perfectly, they allow me to type at my computer and freely walk around the room and never get disconnected. They are also very comfortable and fit well over the ears with surgical rubber ear hooks. It takes about 2 hours to fully charge charge the item.
Very uncomfortable.......2007-12-12
Sound quality is OK but the loops around your ears are very uncomfortable. Can't wear for over an hour.
Just the sound.......2007-12-08
I should have paid more attention to the review comments telling me these headphones were uncomfortable. I already own a behind-the-neck wired headset from Logitech and they are quite comfortable. This wireless set; however, is poorly designed for human beings and they don't fit my cat either.
The 'phones and base unit have a hidden link code, so I could not pair the 'phones with my iPAQ; this is very irritating.
The batteries for both the base & 'phones are built-in rechargeable so the life of the batteries is the life of the product. The charge on the 'phones lasts maybe 3 hours, not so good at all.
I own several Logitech products and am quite satisfied with both the design and value of these items. The FreePulse unit is an exception to this. They pretty much suck.
The sound is great though.
Awesome.......2007-12-06
Seriously, being able to rock out wirelessly is such a godsend! I feel that they are very comfy on my ears and very easy simple and straightforward to use. No software just plug and play...also great sound and so lightweight! I dont share the dissapointment that others had with these. I think they are worth every penny.

Waste of money.......2007-10-19
Piece of crap. Handband broke like everyone else's and Logitech made it way to difficult for trying to contact/get replacement. Wound up throwing them away....go for the Motorola Rokr S9 - much BETTER product.
Works fine, but odd design........2007-10-02
I've been using my headphones at work for a few days now. They seem to work great. The biggest complaint: the design of the headphones doesn't fit my head. I honestly don't know what product engineer thought of the product design, but it doesn't work. Trust me, I have a small head. Some other reviewers mention that they've broken their headband--I read that review before I purchased the product, but now I can see why. And since I'm wearing these at work for long periods of time, they start to hurt my head because of the design. I've generally been really happy with all Logitech products I've bought. Like I said, the product works great--I haven't had any issues with the headphones working. But I can't for the life of me figure out why they made the product with a headband that's probably big enough to fit a 3-year old's head. Really odd.
My plastic band broke.......2007-03-24
Folks,
If you purchased this unit and the plastic band broke, call Logitech support at: 702-269-3457
Once you prove that you have the old model, and send it back to Logitech, they will cross ship you a the new Free Pulse model which has a high strength carbon spring-steel headband.
You will have to pay shipping, but you are getting a great pair of headphones to replace the previous defective model.
SATISFIED.......2007-03-08
PRODUCT SERVES ITS' PURPOSE. EASE OF USE IS BEST FEATURE. INITIALLY SURPRISED THAT IT WAS BIGGER/HEAVIER THAN EXPECTED. WOULD'VE PREFERRED IT SMALLER AND LIGHTER (GUESS IT'S NOT IN THE MARKET YET). BUT OVERALL, SATISFIED WITH PRODUCT. HAVE RECOMMENDED TO PEERS AND FAMILY.
Good product.......2007-02-16
The positives are: excellent sound quality and perfect reception when near transmitter.
The negatives are: the headphones quickly become uncomfortable. I prefer earbuds after using these. The reception is good when nearby or in line of sight of the transmitter. You're not going to get the advertised range if the signal is going through walls.
Also, I did the boiling the headphones band described in this forum to avoid cracking. It seems to have worked. No problems there, other than my daughter and her friends thought I was crazy.

DON'T Buy This Headphones.......2007-12-23
DON'T Buy This Headphones, they will broke in the 1st month.
their range is too small not more than 5 meters. i can live with the 5 meters range but they didn't last for 1 month.
absolutelly worthless.......2007-12-21
I had to return the first set, as it just did not communicate with the sending unit. As most complaints, (the second set)the band cracked after about 3 uses. Eventually fixed that (It now looks like a piece of junk) Battery lasts about 3 hours at the most. Sound quality is not too bad though. A waste of money.
Great sound quality but FATAL design flaw. Buyer be aware........2007-12-05
Cons:
1. The deal breaking major flaw of this device is that unless you have a relatively small head, the stress of being worn WILL cause the nonadjustable plastic band to crack in the middle possibly killing it s usability completely. I ve had two of these Logitech for iPod headphones break in the same manner and after only a few weeks of use. Once a crack has formed, failure followed with a week or so after. It seems to crimp or break the internal wiring keeping it from reasonably providing power flow or being able to recharge the controls are on the right side, the internal battery on the left .
If you buy these, be very very gentle with them. If you have the modding skills and time, you might be able to come up with a physical brace to keep the middle safer/cushioned and minimize the breakage chances, but I don t give this device a long life cycle.
2. Related to number 1, because this device is a one size fits all plastic construct with no adjustments, if you re head is relatively big, the fit over your ears may feel too snug painful and/or warm after a number of minutes of use .
3. Unlike earbuds, surrounding environmental sounds can intrude on your listening experience, meaning if you have a low volume media playing, expect sound bleed and straining to block out those sounds.
Pros:
1. Great sound quality richness of sound and very good bass reproduction .
2. Small transmitter. Unlike some other wireless headphones, the wireless transmitter for this unit and its generic MP3 player version is small. You can pocket it or reasonably attach it to your portable devices with feeling like you are carrying a brick. On a white iPod, it would look like a discreet extension of the unit; just a little thicker.
3. Blue Tooth transmitter has less interference than radio transmitter which may require more manual tuning from the user to get a clear signal. This transmitter is crisp and clear in comparison to the couple of radio transmitter wireless headphones I ve used.
Short answer: don t buy them, it's a flaw that Logitech has moved away from with a newer better model.
Good till you crack the band.......2007-10-17
It is a good product. The sound is clear and charge holds for hours. I enjoyed the product for almost 6 months. After that I saw that the band started to crack at the middle and near the ear pieces. I taped them and they worked for another 2 months. Then, the cracks worsened and the bluetooth connection started giving me issues. It would connect OK but as soon as I wore them, the cracks widened and the transmitter would go red. I hate that I cannot use them anymore.
Another caution is that if you have a 5G iPod with the headphone jack on the top right, then the transmitter CANNOT fit on the iPod as it is built for older iPods that have a connector slot in middle. But, you can use the seperate Auido lead cable to still hook it up and use it but it is not as compact anymore. Also, because the vol +/- and skip +/- uses the connector, you CANNOT use that feature with iPods that do not have a center connector on the top.
But, apart from the limitations, it is a good product and I enjoyed it. I think Logitech has released a new compatible version for 5G iPods.
Not just for iPods.......2007-10-16
This is my second pair of these and I do not own an Ipod. These are 1/2 the price of the black ones for MP3 Palyers and the set for computers. I mainly use mine with my computer. Battery life is excellent.
The sound quality on these sound really muddy at times, I need to loosen mine up some as they fit really tight and do start to hurt after a while. I find if I push them forward a little on my ears the muddiness goes away and the preasure does as well, but they wont stay there. so I am going to boil the band to loosen them up.
I watch movies with these at night so I don't disturb my neighbors as I live in an apartment and its hard to find a volume where you can hear everything and when the action picks up it doesn't scare the neighbors out of there beds. So to keep everyone happy I use these. I can even get up and run to the kitchen and get somethng to drink and still hear the movie just fine.
The best part about these is they work great with my LG Fusic Phone, I can listen to MP3s on my phone and even change tracks.
For the price these are great!!!

Customer Reviews:
i kind of like them!!!.......2007-11-28
The shipping was amazing it only took 2 days to arrive!!! The headset is cool the problem is that when i tried to put the adapter to the ipod with the cover on it didnt want to get in so i had to use the silicone cover that help me put on the adapter, but for better use is to not use any cover at all!!! it is kind of great because when i tried moving far away from the adapter the connection with the adapter it sort of loses connection!! But i still like it cuz i regurlary put my ipod in my backpack and i hear a perfect sound from the headset, so i am glad that i dont have to suffer the wires anymore!!
Good for the gym, but a little tight.......2007-11-22
I purchased this unit a few weeks ago from one of Amazon's 3rd party vendors. I got a very good deal, but the trade-off was that it came in a bag with no instructions. I went to the Logitech website and got things going.
The pros:
1) No wires, and the batteries last about 7 hours (I tried using them all day at work)
2) The sound is good enough. (I had been using a Shure e3, which finally broke for good out of warranty). This unit is not near as loud or as bassy as the Shure, but they don't fall off while I'm on the treadmill either.
3) Worked well for watching TV in private.
The cons:
1) Seems to need it's own bluetooth transmitter. My Powerbook bluetooth connected but the sound was so scratchy and bad that it was unusuable. Plug in the supplied transmitter and everything was fine.
2) The headband is not adjustable and my ear feels bruised after wearing them for an hour. The time I wore them all day at work won't be repeated.
The headband is almost a dealbreaker. If it wasn't for that, I'd be using these headphones all the time.
3) The unit is kind of like those watches that use one button for multiple purposes. The button on each part does something different depending on how long you hold down the button. After a couple of days I got the hang of of, but the button on the transmitter is so small, that I have to stop doing anything but holding the button down to turn it off.
Overall, I'd say wireless on a treadmill is worth the ear bruising. I can't count how many times I've accidentally hit the cord with my arm and sent my iPod flying across the room. I like to watch videos on it while on the treadmill and the bluetooth headphones make that a pleasant experience instead of constantly trying to watch the cord. People with larger heads need to know in advance that these will be tight on your ears.
Great Product.......2007-11-17
this is a great product, easily syncs to mp3 player, computer, stereo etc. long battery life, very comfortable, great to use while working out
The Best Wireless Stereo Headsets on the market.......2007-08-15
Everyone in our household has a set of these wireless headsets for all of our iPods. They work great. The battery has long life between charges. I use mine while working out and spinning and do not have to fuss with wires. Excellent choice.
Headband cracks, wire disconnects.......2007-07-19
1st set cracked in the center of the headband after about a month. Once the crack appears the headset starts to disconnect the wires at the crack and the headset stops working entirely. 2nd replacement set cracked after about two weeks. That was over a year ago, I didn't bother replacing it because why bother. Then I found out they were issuing a different design entirely as replacements (freepulse). Don't bother with this design unless it's free.

Good headphones for a year and a half.......2007-12-10
I don't know why so many people have a problem with these. They have worked perfectly for me. I've had mine since June 2006, and they work great. The sound quality is very good, and the range is very good. I've used them up to about 20 feet away and still had clear sound.
I've also never had a problem with cracking. With a 7 3/4 head, it definitely gets some stress, but no sign of cracking at all.
The only problem I have with these is the weight. After wearing them for a while, you definitely feel it. That's the only thing keeping me from using these every day. If I'm going to be listening for a long time, I'll use my earbuds. But if I'm keeping it to around an hour or so, the Logitech headphones work just fine.
As soon as we get some ultralight stereo bluetooth earbuds, I'll switch, but until that day, these work just fine. I think I've more than gotten my money's worth.
Logitech will replace if headband breaks.......2007-11-14
The headband on these is poorly designed. Unless you have a very small head, they are uncomfortably tight. They are also fragile - in spite of being very careful with them (I wear them only at my computer), the band developed a small crack within a month of purchase, exactly in the middle of the band. 3 months later, it was cracked far enough to break the wires, and they stopped working.
I called Logitech support and described my problem. They immediately offered to replace them, and by simply sending the broken ones back I will receive a new set. Since these are discontinued, Logitech is sending me a set of the Freepulse headphones (metal headband, no more cracking plastic).
Logitech Support's phone number has changed from what is posted in earlier reviews, is now 646-454-3200.
Good concept........2007-09-16
really nice concept and worked great as long as you are very careful not to break them...the neck piece snaps very easily but no problems and sounds great.
Tight.......2007-07-23
For those of you with big noggins, these are NOT for you. They will give you a headache after 15 minutes of wear. Good sound quality though...
Double Edged Sword.......2007-06-16
These things worked awesome for like 3 months and now the freaking receiver is not responding to the headset!

Headband not durable.......2006-07-13
I have had the exact same problem with two pairs of these headphones, The headband cracks in the very center. Logitech is now only offering refunds.
Logitech Headphones Discontinued.......2006-06-27
These headphones have been discontinued by Logitech. I purchased a pair of the black ones in January 2006 and the headband broke within a couple of weeks. Logitech sent me a new pair and I was very careful not to strain the headband but within a month they developed a crack on the headband and broke. Logitech sent me another pair claiming that the problem with the headband had been fixed, but once again these broke within a month. This time, when I spoke to customer service they informed me that the product has been discontinued (including the ones for ipod, mp3 and PC)because of the defective headband issue and that they will not be replacing the product(check the Logitech website and you'll see they have been removed). They have offered to give me a refund of the purchase price when I mail them back to them with my original receipt. I have to wait 6 to 8 weeks but at least I will get my money back. Other than the headband issue, the sound quality was great and I loved the headphones. But unless you want to wait 6 to 8 weeks for your money back, I suggest that you buy something else. I have decided to buy the new Creative SL3100 as a replacement. Hopefully I will have better luck with these

Good sound, comfortable, Broken after 1 month........2007-02-04
I bought these after shopping around a bunch. I loved them and used them all the time. For a month that is.
Today when I was taking them off the center of the plastic behind the neck part snapped in two. If you are going to make a product that gets flexed in normal use, it better stand up to it.
Oh well, guess I will get some sony's, I had my last pair of them till the foam ear covers wore away.
Great sound, but design flaw..........2006-08-02
Logitech, in my opinion, has the highest quality products around, especially for the price. These headphones sound excellent (as do my logitech speaker systems in my house), and they have very deep base. But they crack in half after about a month or two. I took them back to the store and bought another pair. This time I was especially carefull with them. The new pair cracked again right down the middle. I actually bought the curve headphones for PSP but all of the logitech curve headphones are the same. I am not the only one with this problem, as all of the other curve headphones on this sight have reviews that also say that they break in half. So they sound great, but they will most likely break in half.

I LOVE These HEADPHONES.......2007-08-30
I bought these for my husband while he was deployed to Irag and when I got the item and tried them out. Oh my! The sound quality was amazing even at 30 ft. It took me a while to figure out that I had to press and hold the black button on top of the adapter for it to work. The guide could be clearer in that respect but never the less, they are great earphones. I was hoping that my husband would not want them and that they would fit his neck ackwardly; but of course, he liked them and I was out of luck. I want a pair for myself now.
Great headphones for anything!.......2007-08-24
I haven't ever left a review for anything I've purchased before, but these headphones are just amazing. Some people say they don't fit comfortably, but I can see that if you have a thick neck. My husband can't wear them because they dig into the sides of his neck. But if not, they're great. So comfortable and a full charge lasts an entire 8 hours! I didn't give it five stars because if the volume could go up a little louder, they would have earned that last star. I can't see wearing these on a plane. But for the quiet atmosphere of the office or on the treadmill, they're great. I've used them for both and I am so glad I made the purchase!
