Decent sound, Not durable.......2007-12-26
I bought these earbuds in July, it's now December and they have crapped out on me. I feel like my use of them was normal. I'd use them with my little Sandisk Sansa Express player, carrying it all around in my pocket.
What happened is the end by the plug has become flexed too much I guess. I have to twist and turn the wire in order to hear sound in the right ear now. They are basically worthless to me at this point. The plastic is just not very protective of the wires inside.
They were good until they broke. I liked the different sizes of ear canal attachments.
These earphones convinced me to write my first review.......2007-12-21
I have never written a review on amazon.com, or any website for that matter, and I've been online shopping for a very long time. These headphones are what I've been looking for for so long. I never thought I especially had a difficult time fitting earbuds in my ears, but somehow these so much better than any earphones I've ever had. The bass is perfect (even though it is always adjustable via EQ for iPod owners), and the noise reducing actually is TRUE, unlike most earphone claims, as I can have my iPod set to half volume and I still don't hear my obnoxiously loud fish tank at home or people talking while they walk by me on campus.
Also, I can have my iPod up all the way on volume and I don't hear one crack in the sound, even on my hardest and loudest songs.
And once again, I CANNOT get over how amazingly these fit, just with the original size of the rubber covers still on them. I've yet to try out the other sizes, but if they fit even better, I'm convinced that I will continue to buy these headphones for the rest of my musical life.
BUY THEM. I would have paid four times the amount I paid for these if I knew they were these good ahead of time.
Earphones just don't get better than this. I can't even imagine how they could.
Cheaper options are just as good........2007-12-21
I had to return the product because one bud was noticeably louder than the other. Ignoring this problem, the sound was just okay and there was no real noise reduction. The black rubber that goes in your ear is thin and hollow, so it does nothing to block outside noise. There are other options such as a colby on amazon for around $5 that would be just as good for a third of the price.
Don't think you're getting a bargain.......2007-12-21
I bought these to replace my worn-out Sony MDR-EX71SL Fontopia In-The-Ear Headphones (Black) and stupidly, thought I would save a few bucks by buying the Jlab earbuds this time around. I had become quite attached to the in-ear design, having discovered that it gives vastly superior sound quality and outside-sound blocking above the old style of standard earphone designs. I thought, well, these are in-ear headphones, they surely give similar quality sound, right? Wrong. After trying them out for a day, I got curious and plugged in my old Sonys (ragged but still functioning) and the difference was dramatic. The Sonys gave crisp highs and booming bass, and clear sound. The Jlabs, by comparison, was like listening to music underwater. So take it from me, spend the extra $10 or $20 and get yourself some Sonys or equivalent mid-price range headphones.
Work great!.......2007-12-21
My brother kept complaining about how bad the ipod earphones sucks. I bought these as a gift for him and he has nothing negative to say about them!!

Best ear buds - perhaps.......2007-12-26
I've had many brands of earbuds up to $50 - these are the best. The bass is very strong but clean. Got 2 pair now and if I need another set I'll buy another pair of these.
Hello Bass, Please return my music.......2007-12-26
These produced so much bass with my I pod that I could barely hear the music, just the pounding. I like bass, but unless that's all you want to hear, then these are not for you. There were a comfortable fit, but the cord tangles easily.
great buy.......2007-12-25
these headphones are excellent, the sound quality is as good as the headphones 4 times the price. bass is awesome, and the silicone buds actually fit comfortably and block out most background noise. for 30 bucks this is a steal, no point buying the metal ones unless u really want something shiny
Huge improvement over apples earbud.......2007-12-22
These earbuds defiantly hold up to title description and are better then the same price you would pay for apples version. I have a ipod and i also paid a lot of money for apples version of earbuds, while they were significantly louder the thin silicon ear cups were disappointing in holding themselves inside my ear as i worked out. Even more so they were too fragile when the cord got disconnected and i was left with just one working ear bud. I buy these V-MODA and not only does the black color match my black ipod but they were cheaper and work better. The silicon cups are thicker then apples and hold way better, i switched from the small to medium size and hardly move; also due to the thickness it locks out outside noise better. The sound itself is very sharp and the bass itself kicks in on certain songs with a decent beat, i highly recommend you buy these earbuds especially at the price they are being offered. Lastly these earbuds come with a small plastic cord tab to wrap up the excess cord so it doesn't swing wildly around and get caught on corners, very helpful as well at the gym
GREAT headphones.......2007-12-20
Ordered them in white, to match my iphone.
The bass in these are AMAZING. i spend hundred's of dollars on previous headphones, including shure's and bose, and for price, and comfort, these are the best headphones I have ever purchased
Pros: Great Value, comfort, sound, and some noise cancellation. Awesome and sleek design and fit.
Cons: They DO NOT work with the iPhone. The jack is to thick, and the iPhone has a deep jack socket so they are not compatible. Therefore, to use with an iPhone, you need the Belk Adapter, which sticks out like a radio antenna because its so long.
Otherwise. AWESOME deal and Product. Highly Recommended.

Amazing Headphones``````````````````````````````.......2007-12-20
These are my second set of Shure headphones and I was greatly pleased with my first pair but they broke at fault of myself. I got these headphones and what pleased as soon as I opened the packaging. They look and sound great. Once you get them set right in your ear, they have a great balance of highs, mids, and lows. I have recommended these headphones to many of my friends already.
Great Earphones for the price.......2007-12-16
I bought the earphones for my Ipod because the Ipod earphones just didn't fit well in my ears. And they kept falling out. I did think twice about spending $99 on earphones but I have found that they are well worth the money. It does take a little time to get the correct fit. But when you do they are GREAT. I saw a review on Amazon saying that they still didn't know if they are noise canceling. No they are NOT noise canceling. They are noise isolating. Because how they fit in your ear, the only thing you are going to hear is the music coming from your earphones. I was recently on a 2 hour flight from Denver to SF and a baby was crying (screaming) for 2 hours.... and I never heard a thing. Oh, and I bought a pair for my girlfriend so they will not fall during her workouts.
My girlfriend doesn't care for the length of the cord. It's longer than most. Doesn't bother me. Forget the Bose earphones... get Shure!
good quality, but less fine design.......2007-12-03
Shure does make very good earphones technicalwise. Its sound isolation and quality are superior.
However, I have to say, compared to other earphones, this one lacks fine design at its price. For example, the string is very thicker and stiffer than other ones which make it not only less stylish but also hard to keep it in a small pocket.
The way to wear it may not be too comfortable for people who wear glasses, because you have to wire the string around your ear.
break-in & burn-in.......2007-12-01
All QUALITY components need a break-in / burn-in time before they will sound their best.
I Bought a set of $450.00 AGK headphones a while back and at first I thought I made a bad choice.
So I just plugged them and played them for about 20 hrs @ 1/2 volume and then listened to them. ( BIG Difference.)
Same thing when I got my Martin Logan ( Clarity ) electroststic speakers $2,800 a pair.
So bang on them and then give your opinion.
And never skimp on the cost of your speakers!!
P.S. all quality components will need a warm up time of at least 20/30 minutes after sitting for any time to sound there best.
MY2
Mac
Not worth it! Falls out of your ear..........2007-10-17
This item is a disappointment to me. The plugs need to fit perfectly or else they will fall out of your ear. The manufacturer suggests you wrap the wire around your ear. This is very uncomfortable and if the cord gets caught on something it will pull my ear off. They sound good but not great. I wish I bought these in a retail store so I could return them easier, but I guess I'm stuck with them now. I suggest you pass on these.

Thumbs Up for Vibes.......2007-12-25
I've owned the Vibes for a couple of months now. They're the most expensive headphones I've ever owned. That being said, they're also the best I've ever owned. I was looking for a product with good bass but that was also clear and accurate, which led me to the Vibes. Sound quality is very good. The bass is tight and clean. The mids and highs are also very clean and clear. I listen to literally all types of music and after using these, my music had a new depth to it. You can turn them up pretty loud without distortion. They do an ok job of blocking out background noise. Being small and lightweight make them very comfortable to wear and they stay in place. My only gripe is that jack since the it is difficult to pull out if your hands are oily.
Overall, I'd recommend these to anyone, enough bass for almost anyone with clear and accurate mids and highs.
Much better than standard iPods.......2007-12-25
Definitely more comfortable than the standard earphones that come with the iPod. Sound is good but I can't say they are better or worse than a set of Bose. Check both if you can. Forget all the specification jargon. Try them, compare them with others if possible, and purchase what sounds good to you.
Worth The Price.......2007-12-24
They are very light and fit well. They are extremely comfortable, and aftrer a bit you don't even notice you are wearing them. They have included one set of white ear pieces in small medium and large and another set in black. The sound is very good, and in fact better than more expensive earbuds. One of the better purchases I have made. Well worth it!
Excellent.......2007-12-22
The V-MODA are the perfect "tiny" earphones. They fit in the ear without pain or discomfort. The sound quality is perfect. Great bass response. The only bad thing about these are the price. It is up there. I was skeptical buying these. But, the reviews were good....so I took a chance. I'm glad I did. But, my stupid self lost mine the same week I bought them and I just ordered another set. That should let you know how good they are.
Not Happy.......2007-12-21
These ear buds have inconsistent volume side to side. The right side failed completely after only 30 hours of use in less than 1 month. Waiting for the manufacturer to honor the warranty.

Customer Reviews:
waste of time and money.......2007-12-07
I bought these at Target because I was having problems finding earbuds that will stay in my ears, so figured ones with clips would help. These were even worse. I have small ears, so the "hooks" were too large to fit around my ear. They kept sliding down, and falling off my ears after just a couple minutes. Plus the "flexible" hook made them difficult to get on in the first place. I found them extrememly uncomfortable (during the short time they stayed on), and there is no way I want to stop and put the earbuds back on every couple minutes. Waste of money.
Don't stay in your ears!.......2007-11-16
It's true..the sound quality is really great and they are comfortable, in fact you can't even really feel them. The problem is, they keep falling out of my ears. I tweaked them so they'd stay in longer but once you start running or jogging they fall right out, which can be annoying when you're trying to run. Before this I had the Nike hook headphones and those stayed in with no problem. Those wound up breaking (I had them for 2 years) so I purchsed these at Wal-Mart for only $9 and some change. I would return them if I didn't destroy the packaging.
They're ok, after time........2007-11-10
I got these headphones a while back... not sure how long ago, but I got them off of Amazon.
Though Amazon has nothing to do with how they're made, so I'll just leave them out of it. :D
When I first started wearing these headphones they were ok, but a few days after some use, my ears felt weird, like irritated or something...
Turns out, the ear buds were rubbing my ears raw. lol...
Anyhow, now that my ears have built up calluses from where the headphones were rubbing they're A-OK!
Lovely sound, and easy to use and keep on.
I recommend these headphones.
Very uncomfortable.......2007-11-07
The sound quality is OK but they are too big for my ears. These are very uncomfortable. After using them for an hour I took them out and it felt like my ears were bleeding. Don't buy these unless you have huge ears.
Still looking for the perfect headphones.......2007-11-07
These headphones fit me pretty well but they do still wiggle out of my ears during workouts. The good thing about this over-ear design is that the weight of the lower end of the clip will tend to hold them in place even if they do loosen up a bit. Generally what happens is they get a little loose but they never, ever, fall completely off.
So my quest for the perfect headphones continues but these work pretty well in the meantime.

these headphones are excellent, the sound quality is as good as the headphones 4 times the price. bass is awesome, and the silicone buds actually fit comfortably and block out most background noise. for 30 bucks this is a steal, no point buying the metal ones unless u really want something shiny

Works for me!.......2007-12-05
So nice, a place to wrap the wires. Simple and neat. Very pleased
Awesome .......2007-11-14
A Must Buy !
It takes care of the screen and you can wrap the headphones around it ..
Love It !!!
No tangled earphones.......2007-11-08
I lo ve this skin. It protects the device , has more texture to identify/use the buttons in the dark or while driving, and the earphones cable keeps always without tangles.
Zen Skin with Wire Management - Nice.......2007-11-01
The Creative ZEN Skin case protects your media player while providing a "wire Management" area on the back of the skin to hold your headphone wires while not in use.
This is a great overall case to protect your player, but the wire management feature adds some thickness to it. Therefore, if you need wire management, get this skin. If you can do without wire management, stand alone silicon cases are available.
ZEN 3-In-1 Skin Pack (Red/Blue/Black)
This skin fits your Zen nicely and allows you to access the controls through a thinner area. The thick banding around the edges will give you a little more confidence if you accidentally drop your player. Another advantage of the silicon cases is that they have a little more "grip" to them. They tend to be easier to hold in your hand than the clear plastic case.
You may also want to explore the leather and clear plastic cases available from Creative. Each of those cases has integrated stands for easier video viewing.

Great sound, but...........2007-12-26
I bought the Sennheiser CX300-B earbuds and had them for about a week. I was very happy with them for about two days. Although I do not pretend to be an audiophile, the sound was great. These earbuds are about 300x better than the ones that come with the ipod. They could produce sound at a high volume and they played the whole range of the audible spectrum. They are not the best headphones, but you're not paying $200 for them either.
THE BAD: These earbuds have 3 sets of removable silicone earcups and one started to tear within two days. The earcups weren't very comfortable either. I constantly found myself readjusting them at work. In addition, they block so much sound that I couldn't hear others in my office at work. The worst part was the "THUMP" every time my feet hit the ground when I walked. The noise was extremely annoying. I sent these back and got the PX100s and loved them.
Decent sound; noisy cord.......2007-12-21
The bad news: as other reviewers pointed out, if the cords are touched at all -- if they brush against your clothes, or even if they are exposed to wind -- they transmit a tremendous amouth of noise to your ears. I can only use these earbuds if I'm not moving at all.
The good news: the sound is good, way better than standard iPod earbuds. And the rubber tips make for a good fit.
A great noise-blocking headphone!.......2007-11-29
I bought this headphone over a month ago and have been using it while on public transit as well as in the gym. Once you ensure that the fit works well, the noise blocking is fantastic. Except for people standing closer to you to talk, you hear absolutely nothing else. I am used to the cable wrapped around behind the neck now. This may be bothering others..
Great earphones for the (discounted) price!.......2007-11-29
I got these b/c I'm sick of the crappy white ipod earphones... for less than $40 with shipping I can't really complain. Yeah, the noisy and uneven cord is odd but it's not a show stopper. If I would have paid more for these I would probably be disappointed for all the reasons other people have stated... But these are definitely a step up from what I had. The sound is great, they fit well and I got them at a great price -- I'm happy.
IF my cat happens to get a hold of them (b/c they don't come with a case)I won't totally be heartbroken.
UPDATE - 12/3/07 - I'm returning these earphones. They SUCK! In my opinion anyway. I just ordered the Shure E3c!
Noise Eliminating....are you kidding?.......2007-11-21
I was so excited to try these earbuds given all the great reviews I'd heard, not only from this site, but from dedicated headphone sites also. These were my first pair of non-standard earbuds, so my expectations were high. I know you can spend a lot more money, but as I am not an expert, I thought this price would be enough to buy a half decent product. Unfortunately I was really disappointed. The quality of the sound was good, as I said I'm no expert, but compared to the standard issue iPod earphones, there was a marked improvement. My main gripe was the fact that they are advertised as noise eliminating. This is a ridiculous claim. They hardly reduce any outside noise unless you have your iPod set at ear-piercing volume. I could hear everything, even myself walking around. One of my main reasons for buying noise eliminating earbuds is that my partner is a snorer, but I could still hear him crooning away even when the volume was high on my iPod. I quite frequently take long flights and I know these plugs will not come near to eliminating the sound of the engines. I also found the ear pieces uncomfortable. The sleeves are thin and although at first you can get a good fit, after a while they start to hurt and they have a tendency to drop out. The medium sleeve fitted well, but after wearing it for a few hours I found them quite painful and my left ear is still sore after not wearing them for a few days. I know this is probably more to do with my ears than the buds, but I'm sure a softer, more cushioned bud would be far more comfortable. All in all, I was so disappointed with the CX300's that I returned them and am now looking for another make.
