honestly, I already had one when I bought it, however, I just want to say that it isn't a MIDIMAN 1010lt (whatever that is), its a DELTA 1010lt... I have no idea what a MIDIMAN is, but the product is correct if you search for it. This card is just awesome! 8 inputs and 8 outputs, and thats not including the SPDIF and MIDI interface! the sound quality is good on the first 2 channels, and the other 6 need a preamp, but thats expected... top notch if you ask me. I wouldn't expect anything less from M-audio

No Vista Compatibility.......2007-03-22
Do not buy this if you are planning on using Windows Vista. There are no (not even beta) drivers and the Windows XP/64 drivers do not work. M-Audio seems totally arrogant about the whole thing and there are no target dates for any driver support (which hasn't even been confirmed).
Superb sound quality at a great price.......2007-03-06
I purchased this card for my custom-built Home Theater PC (HTPC) running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 and it sounds absolutely superb. M-Audio is known for their pro audio gear and the attention to quality can definitely be heard from this great card.
I would give this card 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that currently there are no Vista drivers for this card. Also, this card is OLD. I believe this card was originally released in 2003. Not only that, M-Audio hasn't released an updated driver for this for a long time. The newest driver is from 2004.
Although the card does not "officially" support XP Media Center, it works perfectly fine with the drivers for regular XP. I had a bit of a problem getting the digital output to work, but their superb tech support was able to provide all the info I needed. Currently I am using the single digital out cable to my receiver and it's outputting PCM, DTS, and dolby digital audio via the digital interface without any problems.
One note of caution if you're using the digital output with XP Media Center Edition: turn off the media center interface sounds (you know, the annoying little sound effects from the buttons, etc.). The digital output can only send audio in one format at a time, so the following scenario can happen:
If you are playing a DVD in DTS, raw DTS audio will go through the digital output. However, if you have sound effects on in Media Center, those are generated in PCM format. XP will send the audio in PCM format via the digital output. Going back to the DVD, you'll find that you get no sound because for some reason either XP doesn't switch the format back or the card doesn't see the change.
If you are planning on running Windows Vista (which I don't recommend at least for a year till the bugs are worked out), then this won't work, but it's a great sounding card for XP.
Do Not Buy If You Own A Mac.......2006-10-02
The M-Audio Revolution 7.1 is listed as being Mac compatible but with all the issues it has currently, I am not sure how that is true.
I own a G4 Mirrored Drive Tower and have had nothing but problems with this sound card. Currently there is still no driver for anything past 10.4.6 and if you upgrade any higher the card will not work in Surround Sound. Besides that there is constant speaker popping and horrible buzzing and squeals when switching between programs, sometimes even when the computer is not in use. It has been flakey with surround sound when using DVD Player and Quicktime, as well. During the 10% of times it works without a hassle the sound is great through my Logitech speakers, so it is quite sad when it doesn't work. It seems that this is the only option for Mac users to achieve surround sound that I know of, which is also very saddening.
I have a feeling I will be selling this to a PC user in the near future and just settling for good ol'stereo.
Can't say enough good things.......2006-05-03
This card, using VIA's superb Envy24 HT chipset, is a huge improvement over my Realtek and VIA Envy24HT-S based cards. Everything sounds better.
My old Audigy 2 platinum (which I think I shall melt) did better in 3D games, but only slightly. Since this card doesn't snap, crackle, and pop like the Creative cards do, I'll venture to say that it actually DOES make games better, since there are no weird noises distracting from the feel of the game.
PROS:
* Very high audio sampling rates, allowing for incredibly good audio production; warm, rich, warm bass all the way up to crystal clear highs.
* No crackling, popping, or hissing! A real joy after pulling my hair out for years trying to figure out why Creative Labs cards keep doing this.
* Well-maintained, solid drivers.
* Supports EAX 2.0
* Excellent ASIO support.
CONS:
* No hardware support for DirectSound; however, if your machine is faster than about 1GHz, you probably won't notice the difference. Benchmark your results on a machine made in the last three years and you'll find that no hardware DirectSound acceleration amounts to *less* than a 1% difference in speed.
* Only supports up to EAX 2.0, due to Creative Labs refusing to license the technology. Sound difference is minimal, though.

Great Sound Card.......2005-12-11
I use this card with a Windows XP box and it works just fine. Installation was no problem, and I didn't have any pops/clicks the other reviewers noted. The is about the cheapest "professional" soundcard you can get. The sound (recording or playback) is basically perfect - no noise whatsoever. The breakout box is great since you don't have to keep going behind your PC to make connections. It also reduces the noise you'll pick up if you're doing any recording. The outputs are 1/4" TRS jacks, and you"ll need 1/4" to 3.5mm adapters if you want to connect to any regular computer speakers. I use these with Alesis M1 Active 520 monitor speakers and the sound is wonderful.
Does not work with G5.......2004-11-17
DO NOT--- I repeat, DO NOT buy this pci card if you have a Mac G5. It is filled with pops and clicks. It IS NOT a reliable way to record/listen to audio. At first, it worked great with my pc, but when I had them alter the software for Mac G5 (for $50) it does not work hardly at all. Buy a firewire audio card if you have a G5.
Exactly what I was looking for.......2003-09-11
This card/box works perfectly for me, and does exactly what I need it to do. The software allows you to mix your channels down individually, and the quality of sound that is captured from the inputs and outputs is unbelievable. The 4 in/4 out was perfect for me as well, since I use a mixer to mix down all my tracks/instruments, I can send out two stereo outputs (a total a four LR) from my mixer in the main mix and from the alt mix. This card is exactly what you need for digital recording.
pops and clicks.......2002-10-18
This card is terrible. Do a search for Delta 44 and "pops and clicks" and you'll find hundreds of other people with the same problem as me: pops and clicks in the audio when recording. I have spent HOURS on the phone with them and tweaking my system and nothing works.

This card had poor software/drivers. While it did provide sound, it was barely usable as the card picked up a lot of internal noise (beeping and buzzing sounds). I ended up trashing it and purchased one that was only a little more expensive but much higher quality.
Unless you are really on a tight budget it's not worth your time.

I purchased this card earlier today and so far, so good. It's affordable, installation was quick and easy ( I'm no tech expert)and the sound quality is great. Another reason that I bought it is that it is backwards compatible with Win 98SE, unlike some of the other cards that I checked out.

Good sound for the price.......2007-10-31
I'm not an audiophile so I'm not going to toss around a lot of technical jargon. I bought this because my new 5.1 surround speaker set required six separate inputs, front L&R, surround L&R center & subwoofer. This filled the bill and I am pleased with it's performance. It was easy to install and hook up and the software loaded the drivers without a hitch. If you are looking for premium sound you will likely want to spend more on a higher quality card anyway and probably won't even consider this one. If, however, you are looking for an inexpensive card to make DVDs that you watch on your computer come to life, this one should do everything that you want. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because I really have to be blown away by a product to rate that.

I found this sound card to be an acceptable alternative to silence. It works just fine, its not a high end card and doesnt sound like one, but for the price you shouldnt be expecting top of the line sound. I put this in my kids homework computer and its more than is nessisary. Ive run it with both two and four speakers without trouble.
If youre looking for high quality sound look elsewhere, if your looking for a cheap card that works i'd say you found it.

What else needs to be said? This is a great card and utterly useless in a new system. M-Audio was WAY too lazy in getting drivers ready for Vista. Hundreds (thousands?) of users are dead in the water because M-Audio apparently can't schedule their projects.
MIDMAN DELTA 66.......2005-09-20
The midiman delta 66 is an awesome piece of hardware and performs as stated in the documentation. The sound is very clear and when no audio is being played its also very quiet. I am very pleased with the ease of installation and configuration as opposed to other sound cards at this price. Oh Heck try one I'm sure your will be as happy as I am.

Good Audio, better than on-board sound....Ideal for running DOS-games........2007-12-14
I bought this for a older computer, to run older DOS games with Sound Blaster. It works excellently in that regard, it runs all my older games(like Descent, Duke Nukem 2 ect.)it also has more crisp sound than my on-board motherboard sound. It also is excellent for using a MIDI keyboard, as the waveset sounds very cool.
Its quite aged now though, so obviously its not as good has some of Creative's newer models. But overall it works pretty well for a basic computer setup. I have it currently installed in my new P4, still way better than that of my motherboard.
If you want a good card for newer gaming though, buy a Sound Blaster X-FI.
Garbage........2006-12-16
Product came with no documentation whatsoever, no installation CD. Attempted to install this on 2 computers. "plug and play" install did not work. downloaded the appropriate drivers from Soundblaster and informed me that NO soundblaster card was found on my PC. attempted to contact vendor,no email was available, only a long distance phone number. Threw it in the trash.
