Old Laptop Memory Upgrade.......2006-08-29
I upgraded the memory in a Gateway Solo 9300 laptop from 128MB to 288MB. The added memory ran fine and really increased performance significantly.

this memory was originally purchased for my dell laptop but will not fit due to it being a full sized dim, however it did fit and work flawlessly in my friends compaq 1700. I have always had great luck in compatiblilty with PNY modules. just make sure your laptop can take a full size so-dimm

Im doing this reveiw through my parents account (just a note). I used this to upgrade my 333 imacs ram from 96 to 160mb and it works beuatifully. My brothers (2 out of 3 anyway) agree that its much faster. Next step is a 7200 80gb hardrive instead of the 4500 6gb standard drive so i get enough room to upgrade from jaguar to panther, if you want to do this remember to make the 1st ie the system partition smaller than 8 gig. Im going for 7 to be safe. Hoping to squeeze 3 more years at least out of this system but im sure i can do 5 or more with some cooperation from the users and maybe even a 10k rpm drive. Bottom line this ram worked well for me. Sorry for documenting the "imac 333 upgrade saga" just sharing.

This memory is very good. There is no reason you shouldn't have 128mb of memory in each computer you have. This memory by Memory Upgrades is cheap and is standard based which means most people can use it. Make sure you check what type of memory your system accepts and how much is the maximum before you purchase any memory because some places dont let you return it if you opened the package of memory.

I purchased this module at Circuit City when I purchased an E-machines T1220 1.2 GHz Celeron system. This allowed me to bump the memory up to 256 Mb. Installatiion of these memory modules is a snap and the Centon memory while PC133 is also compatible with PC100 and PC66 systems. I've just recently removed the memory (replaced with PNY 256 MB module) and installed it in a Dell 550 MHz PIII system without any problems. It was in the E-machines system for 3 months running without a problem. Other modules from other brands work as well and can be purchased just as cheaply without fiddling with a rebate. My rebate took 7 weeks to receive. Overall decent product.
A Worthwhile Upgrade.......2002-06-23
I installed this module into my Pentium II PC (350 Mhz and 64M RAM) and it improved its performance significantly: the internet and other programs (such as Word, Excel) now run much faster. The module is very easy to install (it took me no more than 5 minutes) and compatible with many systems (it works with any Pentium II, III system up to 233 Mhz and faster). I strongly recommend this product.

PNY 128MB on a Dell 350 MHZ processor.......2006-11-03
Bought 2 of these for my old Dell to help speed things up a little. Brought my system up to 384MB of RAM. Did not notice much of a difference in speed. My processor is only a 350 MHz and is 8 years old. However, installing the additional memory was very easy. My computer recognized the extra RAM upon boot up. It may be time to get a newer computer to get the speed that I am looking for.

User reviews have been very beneficial to me in the past ... so the following is offered as a little payback.
I have an older Presario 5BW250 PC running WinME that only had 64MB RAM. Needless to say it was slooooow. Being somewhat anxious over going into the PC, I delayed the upgrade for a long time. It came to point of upgrade RAM or get rid of PC.
I spent a lot of time researching different memory options, and concluded that going with PNY would be the best long term, trouble free decision. Installed 2-128MB memory in March, 2006, and they have been working great.
Support/instructions from Compaq Presario support ([...]) and PNY ([...]) were very helpful. Installation was easier than expected.
Great price, great support, and reliable product .... Should have upgraded much sooner.
