Decent sound, Not durable.......2007-12-26
I bought these earbuds in July, it's now December and they have crapped out on me. I feel like my use of them was normal. I'd use them with my little Sandisk Sansa Express player, carrying it all around in my pocket.
What happened is the end by the plug has become flexed too much I guess. I have to twist and turn the wire in order to hear sound in the right ear now. They are basically worthless to me at this point. The plastic is just not very protective of the wires inside.
They were good until they broke. I liked the different sizes of ear canal attachments.
These earphones convinced me to write my first review.......2007-12-21
I have never written a review on amazon.com, or any website for that matter, and I've been online shopping for a very long time. These headphones are what I've been looking for for so long. I never thought I especially had a difficult time fitting earbuds in my ears, but somehow these so much better than any earphones I've ever had. The bass is perfect (even though it is always adjustable via EQ for iPod owners), and the noise reducing actually is TRUE, unlike most earphone claims, as I can have my iPod set to half volume and I still don't hear my obnoxiously loud fish tank at home or people talking while they walk by me on campus.
Also, I can have my iPod up all the way on volume and I don't hear one crack in the sound, even on my hardest and loudest songs.
And once again, I CANNOT get over how amazingly these fit, just with the original size of the rubber covers still on them. I've yet to try out the other sizes, but if they fit even better, I'm convinced that I will continue to buy these headphones for the rest of my musical life.
BUY THEM. I would have paid four times the amount I paid for these if I knew they were these good ahead of time.
Earphones just don't get better than this. I can't even imagine how they could.
Cheaper options are just as good........2007-12-21
I had to return the product because one bud was noticeably louder than the other. Ignoring this problem, the sound was just okay and there was no real noise reduction. The black rubber that goes in your ear is thin and hollow, so it does nothing to block outside noise. There are other options such as a colby on amazon for around $5 that would be just as good for a third of the price.
Don't think you're getting a bargain.......2007-12-21
I bought these to replace my worn-out Sony MDR-EX71SL Fontopia In-The-Ear Headphones (Black) and stupidly, thought I would save a few bucks by buying the Jlab earbuds this time around. I had become quite attached to the in-ear design, having discovered that it gives vastly superior sound quality and outside-sound blocking above the old style of standard earphone designs. I thought, well, these are in-ear headphones, they surely give similar quality sound, right? Wrong. After trying them out for a day, I got curious and plugged in my old Sonys (ragged but still functioning) and the difference was dramatic. The Sonys gave crisp highs and booming bass, and clear sound. The Jlabs, by comparison, was like listening to music underwater. So take it from me, spend the extra $10 or $20 and get yourself some Sonys or equivalent mid-price range headphones.
Work great!.......2007-12-21
My brother kept complaining about how bad the ipod earphones sucks. I bought these as a gift for him and he has nothing negative to say about them!!

Only wish I had bought it sooner.......2007-12-26
I just bought this for use with a blackberry. I can't tell you how many folks have commented on how much easier it is for them to hear me and I find it such better quality sound than through the blackberry's tinny speaker.
Excellent quality audio.
Headset of the year.......2007-12-25
This is the best headset I've used so far. Years ago I experiented with inexpensive motorola headsets and got no where. Eventually I purchased a Platronics Voyager 510, and it was great. I heard people's conversation well and it was extremely comfortable. I was perfectly fine with it, but my girlfriend wasn't so happy. She said she often have trouble hearing me speak. I hang on to my 510 for almost 2 years before taking a risk at something new, the Jawbone. I was pleasantly surprised. I purchased it at Amazon for about $80 dollar, about what i would expect for a top of the line product. From my end, there was pro and cons. It was more stylish and more comfortable. Unfortunately, the volume button is next to the end button and it was hard to deal with at first. Another problem was that my now 2 year old phone would randomly disconnect from the Jawbone. I was still optomistic and it was time for a new phone anyway. I then purchased the Razr 2, and my connection problem went away. The best part of all this is that my girlfriend tells me that she can hear me, even when i'm outdoor and event next to a concert hall. I think the noise cancelling technology really works and I would recommend it to anyone who is willing to pay between $50-$100 range. Althought I really don't know if you can get a better headset if you pay more...
Not quite ready.......2007-12-20
I purchased this at the local AT&T store as I needed a headset immediately when my two year old Motorola finally died. After purchasing two replacement Motorola H700s that worked for 3 weeks each and died, I was up for a change. A friend had recently purchased a Jawbone and told me her friends picked up her call from an airport, and they said it sounded great. That was appealing to me, so off I went.
The 1st Jawbone was dead on arrival out of the box. It wouldn't light up to charge. AT&T cheerfully replaced it a few hours later the same day. 2 weeks later, the wire earloop, about the diameter of a paperclip, snapped where it goes through the main body of the Jawbone. They ship 6 in total, which are either right or left ear only. The second failed about two weeks later. The issue seems to be that the loop material is either too brittle, or to small in diameter in the name of fashion. The shape of the Jawbone is a little awkward to carry with you when it's not being worn. In a computer case, it can't really be flat, so the pressure from the side of the bag snaps it. The same thing happened when I put it in my jacket pocket. When I put on the seat belt in the car, it gently rubbed against the coat and number two was toast. The third one snapped in half when I was putting it on.
One more thing - bring a friend or a mirror when you go to look at one. It pulls my ear funny, so it sticks out, which never happened with the Motorola. I am going to try the Blue Ant next, and see how that one fairs. For now, the Jawbone looks like a future good product, once they re-engineer the ear loops so they aren't so fragile.
The best sound ever.......2007-12-18
Is the very confortable, the sound is great people don't realize you're using a headset, great sound quality. You can hear music (loud) and still voice command your phone and WORKS really something good.... just the buttons are really difficult to handle, they're very hard and difficult to find and use.... something more sensible would be great for these product... But I'm very satisfied with it
piece of s.............2007-12-16
I've had to exchange this twice and going on a third. Twice the earpiece broke off easily in the jawbone while in my purse, too where I couldn't pull the ear hook out. Now I have to return it because when I charged it part of the earpiece stayed in the charger. The metal that wraps around your ear must be cheap because it has left a rash on the back of my ear so I put clear nailpolish to coat it which has stopped it from giving me a rash. Also if left on for a couple of hrs really hurts my ear from the pressure of the jawbone. I don't know about everyone else but I have trouble hearing the person on the line with me. They can hear me fine and loud sometimes too loud I have to lower my voice. As far as background noise it has been the best bluetooth that I have owned to block background noise but what's the point because if it's noisy they can hear me but I can't hardly hear them! By the way I can hear just fine on a normal basis! It's also hard to get on quickly. It's even a bit difficult to put on it just doesn't open up to much to stretch onto your ear. I have long hair and it constantly get caught in it. So for me there are definatly more cons than pros!
Amazon.com Review
These days, it seems that wireless Bluetooth headsets are a dime a dozen, but Aliph's Jawbone stands apart from the pack not only due to its unique looks but also thanks to some seriously amazing noise canceling technology. Originally developed for DARPA (The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) to create a communication headset that would pick up voice in hostile environments, the Jawbone offers some of the best clarity from a Bluetooth headset we've experienced. This version comes in black, but it's also available in red and gray.
Sophisticated modern industrial style meets the next step in audio technology with the Jawbone Bluetooth headset. |
It can be worn on either ear, and you can customize your fit by choosing from one of the included earloops and earbuds. |
 |
The first thing you notice about this headset is its rather chunky size and cheese grater-like texturing on the exterior. Designed by Yves Behar, an award-winning industrial designer who also contributed to the design of the OLPC (One Laptop Per Child, aka the $100 Laptop), the Jawbone certainly has that iconic modern look that will be copied for years to come. It's also a bit large on the face (due to the embedded technology and speech sensor), which reminded us of Lando Calrissian's assistant, Lobot. But then there's no easy way to disguise a Bluetooth headset, and it's probably an advantage as passersby won't think you're just muttering crazily to yourself.
The Jawbone can be worn on either ear, and it comes with four earloops of varying sizes to fit your lobe. Made of solid metal with a rubber cover, they're fairly comfortable around the ear. The trick, however, is getting it on over the ear, and this is the Jawbone's biggest disappointment. Because it's so stiff, you literally have to use both hands to try to slip it on over your ear. And since we don't wear our headset constantly, we missed a few calls while performing this dance. Also, the metal frame does bend (as we found after carrying it in our pocket), which can be viewed as an annoyance or as a feature--enabling you to form-fit the frame to your ear. It also comes with five ear pads of varying shapes and sizes, and we tried one of the teardrop shaped pads to secure the Jawbone inside our ear sans metal frame--it was comfortable and worked for awhile, but isn't a solution if you're moving around a lot.
As with Steve Jobs, Behar is not a fan of protruding buttons. Thus, the Jawbone's two controls are hidden within the headset, requiring you to press either the front or back of the unit to answer calls, adjust volume, or turn on/off the noise cancellation function. While we've read some reviews that complained about these hidden controls, we had no problem in accessing them and appreciated their tactile response. The Jawbone also comes with a custom-fit recharging cable that can either plug into a PC's USB port or into the included wall jack. We enjoyed the flexibility of the USB charging, but wished the cable could have been a more standard USB mini-jack (for those times when you forget to bring the cable along).
But the true test of the Jawbone is how its "noise shield" performed. First, a little about this technology. The Jawbone has a small piece of rubbery plastic that protrudes from the bulbous microphone and sits flush against your face, and this sensor tells the Jawbone whether or not you're speaking and can remove background noise from your ongoing speech signal. It can also dynamically adjust the volume of the incoming audio from your call.
We tried the Jawbone in a number of different situations, and for the most part it worked flawlessly. Sitting at our desk with the stereo volume cranked up while playing The Chemical Brothers, our call partner was none the wiser. She didn't hear any of the music coming through, and our voice came through strong on her end. While standing on a street corner, the undulations of traffic noise never made it through to our caller, while we noticed an uptick in volume with an increase in traffic noise.
However, the Jawbone wasn't perfect, as it doesn't do a great job in windy situations. Still, for the good majority of situations you'll find yourself in--from busy airports to talk-heavy coffeehouses to traffic-laden city streets--the Jawbone should perform very well, masking the surroundings to improve fidelity for you call partner as well adapting your ear volume to the surrounding environment. We just wish the ear frame was a bit more flexible.
Pros:
- Amazing background noise masking capabilities--even when faced with loud, thumping music
- Outstanding adaptive volume as the environment around you changes
- Options for customizing the fit
Cons:
- Metal earloop frames are hard to quickly put on
- Non-standard USB connection is a bummer if you forget the cable at home
Customer Reviews:
50-50.......2007-12-25
I bought this about 2 months back expecting a great new product after not being satisfied with 3 different headsets including plantronics voyager...however my expectations fell flat the moment I wore it. There are 3-4 earbuds and 4 earhooks, however none of them really fit your ear correctly. The earbuds do not get inside your ear and hence you cannot hear properly. While wearing or removing the headset, the earbud falls off or if you keep this in your pocket, the earbud falls inside your pocket when you take the headset out. I had to bend my earhooks to fit it in my ear. That helped me fit this but still I am wary that the earbud would get lost as it falls off. Once when I was driving, I got a call and tried fitting this in my ear during driving and the earbud fell off inside my car. I had ot search for over 30 mins as the bud went somewhere under the seats. Really regretted buying this that day and even now. Noice canceling is not great as is claimed, maybe just ok. Unable to get rid of this due to the cost. Buy something without the earbud and which has fewer removable parts. I have a Nokia E series cellphone and the headset does not automatically connect and you have to keep pressing the on/off button to connect. Got for it if you get it as a gift
Outstanding Device!.......2007-12-24
I purchased this earpiece after giving in to the hype. Let me say, it lives up to it's reputation! The earpiece transmits voice in a precise manner under good conditions. It is OK under windy conditions. It actually makes me sound better on the other persons phone somehow... perhaps because my Sprint Mogul needs all the help it can get. It is fashionable and different. Overall a good buy! I got it for 79.99 with FREE shipping during Black Friday here on Amazon!! But now knowing how it performs, I would have paid full price for it.. ($119.99)
Better than most, great audio!.......2007-12-24
It's a bit big! The ear clip is awkward. You cannot put this on your ear quickly. LOVE the audio. It's the best that I've had. Clearly you can hear better and people hear you especially in windy conditions. Aliph should redesign this to be smaller, easier to put on and less bulky, that would make it perfect!
Maddening at best.......2007-12-24
Could not resist the great price, but that is the only upside so far. In use the volume is never loud enough for noisy environments. The headset is constantly being dropped from the handset making it impossible to know whether to answer a call from the headset or the handset. After multiple emails to Aliph they finally admit that it is a know problem on some handsets and there are no plans to resolve it. I am the proud owner of a shiny new pile of e-waste.
Ear loop are flimsy--replacemetn loops not properly sent.......2007-12-23
Sound quality is good and once you get use to it the fit is comfortable. The earloops are flimsy and break VERY EASILY. I ordered two 4 packs of additional earloops (8 earloops in total) for $20.00. I received two pacages with one earloop in each. Two emails to customer service have gone unanswered so far.

Customer Reviews:
Excellent headset.......2007-12-18
After reading all the negative reviews about this product I decided to suck it up and give it a try. I've been using this headset for about 1-2 months now and I have no complaints so far. The microphone works great, the headset fits comfortably on head, and it has a sturdy frame. I mostly use it to play online games, but it's also good for listening to music, watching movies, etc. The only things that bothers me though is that sometimes when adjusting the volume it almost feels like I'm losing sound in one part of the headset, but it's not a big problem or it could be just me. Overall 5/5.
Good Product!.......2007-12-13
The headset has a good sound quality along with a good microphone quality, I tried it with many people on the net, it worked just fine! and by the way, its price is good too!
Keep Moving.......2007-12-12
So perhaps I got the bad seed in the bunch, but I really did not enjoy this product. The volume from the microphone is very very very low, even when it is set to high. Also, when it arrived, one of the ears of the headphones did not work. I would have shipped it back for exchange, but the cost of shipping was close to the price of the object, so why bother? Luckily, it wasn't that expensive. That being said, I guess you get what you pay for!
Ok at first, broke after extended use. Mic not great. Look elsewhere..........2007-12-09
I am online searching for a new gaming headset now as these broke, right on the side where they adjust into the plastic, so now they are trash. You get what you pay for. I usually love Logitech products, but this is not one I love. The mic was never great, people constantly having trouble hearing me even after lots of tweaking. I have a high-end sound card on my PC and this set just didn't do anything great with it.
Going to spend a bit more after I read review and get something nicer since I use it so much.
Look elsewhere.
Microphone sends noisy distracting sound when moved.......2007-11-27
There is some comfort, BUT when the microphone is adjusted, there is a static sound that interupts conversation. Logitec needs to do further engineering on the product.

Customer Reviews:
Good bluetooth headset.......2007-12-25
The headset works as advertised. Easy to hear, noise cancellation works very well. Once you figure out the right combination of earpieces it is very comfortable.
AMAZING sound quality with Horrible mechanical design.......2007-12-25
Simply put, the sound quality of this headset is AMAZING, and everything they claim it to be on their website and advertisement. The noise canceling works impressively, and as an Electronics engineer, I really have to salute the design team behind that technology.
The bad, is the horrible mechanical design of this unit. while it does "look" pretty slick, and very modern, the mechanisms for fitting in on one's ear, are very poorly designed. The removable ear-bud peace (which they provide more than one size to accommodate users) well, it keeps falling off... or getting stick in the ear, as the whole unit falling off. It is not secure in place AT ALL, and since I really was impressed with the sound quality, I tried over and over to find a nice fit, (finally glued that piece!). Also, the metal loop that goes over the ear, is not very convenient, and you have to choose right or left ear operation to install the proper loop.
I am returning this unit, and crossing my fingers that this company stays in business and have a second version of this ear piece....
This is a case of expectations over substance.......2007-12-19
I was SO excited to get this. A little hard to get on - but a good fit once its on. I can hear well, sounds a 'bit' echoey but i am happy as i assume the person on the other end of the call is happy.
I tested for 2 days at all settings and i have concluded ( for the 2nd time) that what looks like is should not work well in fact cannot work well. The mouth piece is just too far and the 'harmonics' coming off the jaw - is just PR. Every test the person on the other end had trouble hearing me - and i never even got into the car - i was in my quiet ideal condition office and every person thought the quality of my sent voice was not tolerable.
Packing it to return it now.
Good buy........2007-12-18
This BlueTooth ear piece kicks a**! I have tried a couple different BlueTooth pieces before buying this one. The Jawbone does a good job filtering out alot of back ground noise, as well as fitting comfortably in the ear. Not once has anyone I've been talking to on the phone asked me to speak up or that they couldn't hear due to outside/background noise. The controls could be better on this thing, but...ya can't have it all.
Better quality that most other headsets.......2007-12-14
I have tried several headsets to find one I like. I finally tried the Jawbone and it is a keeper.
The Jawbone has excellent sound quality and noise cancellation. The person on the other end thought I was on a landline phone. On my end the caller comes in loud and clear. I even turned on a vacuum cleaner and stood next to it and the other person did not hear it at all. You can adjust the volume, but I let the headset do that. Somehow it senses the noise level around you and adjusts the volume accordingly for both you and the person you are calling.
This headset is larger than it appears in pictures. It is also a little heavier then some others I have tried. The only downside is that it is very difficult to put on. I suppose I will figure it out with some practice. It is not quite as comfortable as some others I have tried, but I am getting use to it. After having it on for a while I did not even notice it was on my ear.
It comes with 4 ear hooks, which is 2 for left and 2 for right ear. That sounds odd, but the hooks are slightly bent to fit either right or left ear. The reason is because it is spring loaded to gently force the speaking sensor next to your face. The hooks are 2 different sizes and the wire can be bent to better fit your ear. After doing some adjustments the headset fits snuggly and does not flop around. It also comes with 4 different shaped ear buds. The charger is unusual. The cable that plugs into the wall charger is USB, so you can use the same cable to charge the Jawbone on your PC.
As with most headsets you have to get use to putting it on and adjusting it where it fits comfortably and correctly to get the best sound. The minor negatives do not mean much compared to features and sound quality. That is why I give it 5 stars.
Update: I have read several reviews complaining that they just could not get the Jawbone to fit or the ear bud to stay in their ear. Here is what I did. I first gently bent the ear loop to more of a closed position to fit tighter around my ear. Then, as you know, the loop is already bent to force the ear bud more into your ear and the speaker closer to your face. I took that shape and bent it a little farther. Now, the ear bud fits farther into my ear and the headset feels more comfortable and does not flop around. Obviously if you bend it too far it will break. So, be careful. This adjustment worked for me. I also took the advice of another reviewer about how to put the headset on. This is, basically, what he said. Put your thumb over the ear bud. Hold the headset horizontally and flat against your head then start sliding the end of the loop over the top of your ear. Then as you slide it on, rotate it at the same time to the correct position. It really works and now I can get it on with one hand in 2 seconds.
Another update: Even though the noise cancellation really works, it also breaks up your voice and the callers voice. I suggest you only use the noise cancellation when you need it. Since the noise cancellation is set to be on by default when you turn the headset on, you have to turn it off yourself.

Logitech Noise Canceling Headphones Rock!.......2007-12-23
Folks, these guys realy work.. But be aware, these are designed to cancel out Jet noise not your mother in law's voice... If you travel, wear these and you'll arrive less fatigued than you would otherwise. In fact I used them continuously for 14 hours on my way from SF to Taiwan and damn! They run on a single AAA battery.. Hows that for great performance ?.
Broken at the opening.......2007-12-22
These things are very shoddy. The hinge at the headphone is a weak plastic tube that apparently snapped during the packaging at Logitech.
Others have complained that the earpiece was breakable. Ours was broken when the box was opened. This is planned obsolescense in action! In this case it failed before we got it. Don't buy these!
Nicely Isolating.......2007-12-04
Just used these on my first flight, and they we're very good. I've never tried and Bose ones, but with noise-cancelling turned on and my iPod playing, practically all I could hear on the plane was music (and muffled announcements) - almost no engine noise, no talking, etc. I've also used the JVC HA-NC100, which are more portable, but the Logitech sound and isolation is superior.
Highly recomended.......2007-11-29
I've been using the headphones in several plane trips and they really make a difference. Cancels airplane noise very well and lets you enjoy your ipod inflight without hissing noises. A very nice product for its price.
Quiet but not clear.......2007-11-27
Quiet, but when the volume is turned up the sound has distortion. Sounds Great when the volume is around 75-80%. Very comfortable around the ear. The bose quiet comfort sounds slightly better. But for the price you cant go wrong! Recommended.

Fantastic Noice Cancelling.......2007-12-26
Just received this headphones as an x-mas gift. Overall fantastic size/weight, I will easily carry these in my backpack, especially in the nice hard case included. I'm a big fan of the over the ear design, but for the majority of consumers this may be an issue. The noise-canceling function works beautifully, as the product info states only 1 AAA battery needed, none required for regular headphone usage. I consider this a major selling point as I do not want a non-functional set of headphones in the event of a dead battery. Altogether I would recommend this pair to anyone looking for a quality set of portable noise canceling headphones.
Excellent performance, comfortable, great value for money.......2007-11-07
I travel fairly frequently on work and the long international flights were getting to me. I'd originally bought a Solitude Plane Quiet II headset which I was fairly happy with except for:
1. Quite tight around the head, difficult to wear for long periods of time.
2. Good sound quality, particularly bass, but an annoying hiss and missing treble and highs during audio playback.
3. Fairly heavy owing to needing 2 AAA batteries.
A colleague at work bought the JVCs and we did a comparison. Initially I was skeptical because my Solitudes were around the ear vs the JVCs which are over the ear. We went into a very noisy server room to do the test and I have to say the performance of the JVCs was astoundingly good.
All three issues that I had with the Solitudes were absent.
1. Extremely comfortable and light. Great build quality.
2. Even better noise canceling performance despite the over the ear design. Even with the active noise cancellation off, merely wearing the headset provides good sound insulation.
3. Great sound quality, very balanced bass and treble, zero hiss.
4. Better battery life than the Solitudes despite needing only one battery.
In addition, the JVCs have some of the benefits of the Solitudes over the industry's most famous headset (Bose).
1. Conventional cable (not proprietary like Bose).
2. Audio passthrough even when the battery dies.
3. Single AAA battery, non-proprietary (if you forget to charge your proprietary Bose battery, your headphones are dead).
4. Great price/value tradeoff compared to the Bose QCII or III.
The only negatives of the JVCs I could perceive are:
1. No volume dial control on the headset itself which is less of a convenience as you now have to turn down the volume from your ipod or computer rather than just reaching up and dialing down.
2. Headphone cable is fairly short (43in) so its difficult (not impossible) to use it with home stereo equipment.
3. Replacing the battery is a bit difficult and involves popping the right earpiece out.

no problem.......2007-12-21
bought these because the pair i had before broke in two. found the exact same model online here at amazon. it's a great price and a the headphones have a very good depth to them. i got the shipment prompt and i'm very happy with the experience of dealing with amazon on this and other purchases that i have had in the past.
Good Headphones - Don't Buy For Noise Cancelling.......2007-12-18
Good headphones - sound quality is good, but don't buy them for the noise cancelling feature, which doesn't seem to make much difference. The folding aspect is a little awkward at times and they stick out a lot from your head, but otherwise they are good.
great product.......2007-12-09
I thought this was a great product for the money. I read about it in Consumer Reports. That is why I bought it. Lives up to it's reputation.
I can't even use these!.......2007-10-20
I didn't buy these because of the noise canceling feature. Since I'm often home alone with my son I just wanted the noise level muffled so the fact that I can still hear what's going on in my surroundings doesn't bother me and yes I absolutely hate earbuds!
However, I have noticed that as comfortable as these headphones appear to be they put pressure on your ears so that if you wear glasses it does hurt after about a half an hour. Also I had an eardrum rupture several years ago and have never noticed a problem with headphones because of it until now... after about an hour I have a throbbing pain from wearing these. Looks like it's back to wearing the cheapo headphones for me :(
Great product for the price.......2007-10-02
The JVC HANC80 folding headphones worked very well. They fit my daughter's (age 26) head very well and are comfortable. The sound was crystal clear and she is very pleased with them. She has only used them in a fairly quite area, so I can't speak to the noise cancelling component. A good value for the price.

No active noise reduction AT ALL! .......2007-12-22
I just brought these home from Staples. I cannot see how these can be claimed to have ACTIVE noise reduction. The only thing they do is slightly amplify the source sound. The classic test, to turn them on with some background noise but no signal, reveals ZERO noise reduction. There does not even appear to be a microphone anywhere in the system that could detect and correct for noise. Nothing you do with the battery unit (moving closer or further from noise sources, for example, indicates that ANYTHING is happening at all. The product is apparently falsely presented. The flexible plastic earbuds are reasonably good, and block sound almost as well as my KOSS Sparkplug earbuds, but there is NO evidence of any active noise cancelling at all. I plan to return them.
very disappointed.......2007-12-18
I am very disappointed in this product. When I first got the package, the left earbud was very low volume compared to the right. In mere hours, both stopped working (I did not put them through extraordinary strain). Even if it had continued to work the battery pack in the middle of the cord is very awkward. I strongly recommend against purchasing this product.
Average User.......2007-12-12
I didn't expect great noise canceling from these headphones, but I did expect them to be "honest" about the way they went about noise canceling. In this case when you switch the noise canceling feature on it simply sounds like the sound was run through an amplifier--the music you are listening to gets louder, but that's it.
Pass on it.......2007-12-07
Perhaps I got a bad unit, but after two months of light use one of the channels faded almost to nothing permanently (tested with new batteries, different unit, etc.). While it was working it seemed to be okay- not as good as my Kensington noise canceling headphones, but not bad. Most of the noise-canceling occurs because it acts as an earplug. The active noise-canceling effectiveness is marginal. I was also a bit annoyed that the wires were always getting tangled and the cord to the n.c. unit is just a couple inches too short to fit in my jacket pocket without pulling on the earbuds. I would have given it 3 stars had it kept working properly.
great earphones.......2007-12-02
This is my 20 th pair of earphones already, i use theme mostly to ride my bikes (harley & ktm enduro), so far these are by far the best i've ever owned, they are the only one's you can actually hear something riding over 60 mph with a small helmet in a very loud harley. the down side (and this is why i dindn't gave them 5 stars) is the big noise cancelling device, so i just place it in a pocket and problem solved. i'm very happy good for me that i bought two pairs, you know, just in case.
