Well i read the other reviews before buying this card and i am happy to say, i am glad i ignored the negative ones.
This video card is NOT the most up to date. state of the art card you can get. If you have a new computer why would you want to upgrade with an older card? Of course an older card is not going to work well with a newer computer, or the most recent games or work with newer peheripals and so fourth. Just like older equipment wont necessarily work with newer upgrades.
My pc is 2.5 GHz, Dell, running XP, not a ton of memory. But this card upgraded it very nicely. The installation instructions could use a rewrite, they did not concur closely enough with my particular system. But I did not have a problem figuring it out.
They probably should re-evaluate, perhaps put a warning on the box saying the card will not work efficiently with systems made after xxx date.

This video card was installed to provide support for dual monitors on a desktop Compaq running XP Home edition. The Diamond Stealth was simple to install and continues to work fine. I recommend this video card.

Bought this card for my GF's computer. It was needed for playing Guild War's. I have to admit at first I was a lil aprehensive about buying this product, but after it arrived and I installed it, I realized those worries were shortlived. For a good PCI card for your buck, I would highly reconmend this. It even runs BattleField 2 on almost full settings, which given its pci and not even a 9600XT, is a truly amazing thing.

Its was a good card for the past two years.......2007-12-07
I bought this card around 2005, it played almost everygame. The games it has trouble playing was BF2 and DoD Source. Its a good card since it played GW,WoW,Fifa08,NFS Carbon,Most Wanted,Call of Duty2 all in High Preformances or almost at the highest. As of right now i just ordered the VisionTek Radeon X1550, guessing it will let me play oblivion,BF2,BF2142 and other some newish games i can try. I hope it works well since im guessing is a couple generations ahead of 9250 plus its only around 45$ diffrence now. I really hate being stuck with a PCI Computer (Dell Demension 4700) but what can you do exept getting a cool XPS for a grand.
Great card through the test of time........2007-11-03
This was my first card for my PC when I bought it early 2005. Radeon 9250 256mb PCI. Good thing I decided to hang on to it. My ATI x1300 AGP blew out and I went back to this card. I didn't want to shove out $200.+ dollars for a new 512mb. card. After owning this card for over 3+ years, I am happy to see it works well with most games I play.
The Radeon 9250 256mb PCI card is a great card for around $85. - $115. dollar price range (I paid around $160. for it 3 years ago. Compared to $199. For the AGP version of this card). Out of all the graphic cards I've owned, the Radeon 9250 256mb PCI runs the coolest. I never had any overheating problems associated with it.
I recommend this card if you are: 1.) Low on funds and want a decent graphics card. Since AGP cards run a lot more in price. 2.) If you don't have a AGP slot on your motherboard and want to experience 3-d gaming with out all the lace and foo-foo effects associated with higher end cards. 3.) Want something better than built-in motherboard graphics. Just remember to update to the latest drivers at the ATI website. If you decide to use it as your main graphics card.
FFXI Online runs great on defaults. Smooth game play. If you turn up the graphics, it tends to get a bit choppy.
Secondlife plays well on defaults.
World of Warcraft plays well on defaults with smoothness, no lag, or choppiness. If you turn up the graphics, it tends to get a bit choppy.
EQ2 works great on default settings. Smooth and no choppiness. If you turn up the graphics it will chop up on you.
PSU is a bit choppy on this card. The opening movie and offline mode mini movie clips chop up a bit. But the game is still playable and works well at normal default settings. PSU runs a lot smoother in low res mode with the card. The in-game videos are choppy period. There is no fixing it with this card.

I bought this video card because i dont have either PCI-E or AGP motherboard and was therefor stuck with the sucky Intel Intergrated Graphichs controler. Thats right it wasnt even a graphic card. i was unable to play many games i had. i ordered this and it arrived much faster than i thought. When it arrrived it was wonderful. it performed beypnd my expectations for a PCI card. I highly recommand this for a low cost, great performance card.

Well i have to bought this type of card (PCI) because my mboard doesnt have AGP or PCI-E. This is a really good card. I read that somebody said this card doesnt work with Directx 9.0 but it does. Its a really good video card, now i can run a lot of games that i cant play with my old card Nvidia.

i have a dell dimmension 3000, and i am very angered that i have a computer that is 1 year and 2 months old and it won't !ever! run windows vista, wanna know why, because dell decided to be ultra cheap and was the only company to not include an agp or pcie slot. thanks! there are no pci cards that are vista compatible. this also means that when dx10 flight sim x comes out i cannot run it. also the sound card i got this christmas has been discontinued, meaning that drivers for it as well will not be released on vista. hello, if i bought a video card 4 months ago and a soundcard less then a month ago, vista comes out in 8 days, it better be.
this is a pci card, i bought it 4 months ago, it is not compatible. how dare they still be selling cards that are not compatible with an operating system 8 days before a release. why why why!!!!!!!???!?!?!?!?!
