Bargin price.. Great Cooler........2007-05-12
I purchased this cooler to replace my noisey Chipset fan on my DFI Lanparty Ultra D Motherboard.
The fan WILL fit on this motherboard with a very minor mod. You just need to get a small Chainsaw blade file and make one of the mounting holes a little bigger towards the fan.
It took me about 3 mins to file the needed copper away, clean and mount on the motherboard. I used Artic Silver 5.
Temps dropped by 5 degrees but the best point is that my system is much quieter again. All I can hear now is the whrrrr of my hard drives.
Dont be afraid of doing slight mod to make it fit on your motherboard, its well worth it.

Work nice in my Asus A8N-SLI, but, a little great and hits the Fan chipset power conector... there is no problem if make a small modification...

I accidently didn't realize this wouldn't fit an Nvidia FX5600 card, so I had to drill an extra hole and clip the fan blads to make it fit! What a mod to save from returning and re-ordering! Any, it still works and the pointless blue light is pretty, but I can't see it through my aluminum case!
