Nice in theory, but not in reality..........2007-12-12
Product would sound fine, if it would stay in or anywhere close to the ear canal. But it really doesn't. The 'adjustable' ear pieces really aren't that adjustable, only in moving the positioning up or down about 1/4 of an inch. There is not much flexibility in these things and they don't feel that great in the ears. I bought them for running and the stay on the ear, but again, no where even near to being in the ear and enjoying what you're listening to. Another thing, if you wear glasses, these are NOT for you. Do not buy these as they will not work at all around your ears and the frames of your glasses. Even with my glasses off, they weren't really that good. I bought the v-moda's and have been super happy with them!
Good quality headphones........2007-11-28
These headphones have great sound quality and were reasonably priced (especially for how durable they are). These things are super tough and even come with a sweet carrying case to protect them further. The only downside I've found is that the bud part itself is kinda large (they didn't sit well in my ear). However, to counter this Sennheiser included wedge shaped ear pieces (the green pieces at the bottom of the picture) which allow the head phone to create an acoustic seal without actually going inside your ear, which I find more comfortable than standard earbuds/overear headphones. I'm happy with my purchase, and would definitely buy Sennheiser products again (but from Amazon, because it was $10 cheaper on Amazon than on the Sennheiser website).
Worthy.......2007-11-16
I use my headphones will running. I have tried all brands and find this product to be superior.
Pro's
- Excellent sound
- Good fit
- Durable although get "tattered" quickly. I've had mine for 16 months of heavy usage
- Waterproof
- Good design including clip
Con's
- slip on covers are ineffective
- Plastic cover from connector slipped off and needed super glue but like the Energizer Bunny, they kept on working
Great sound and warranty, Awful wire covers.......2007-11-08
Be glad these come with a 2 year warranty. You will need it. The wire cover splits very easily. I bought these headphones a year ago, I've had to return them through warranty twice for split wires already. Sennheisser has sent me a new pair each time.
Pros: Great sound, stays in ear, awesome warranty and service
Cons: you'll need the warranty. I've sent mine back twice in the past year. Wire cover splits very easily, first time it split near the headphone jack, the 2nd pair split up near the bud itself.
Overall, I'd suggest getting something else, unless you have a backup up pair and don't care about having to send this for repair/replacement frequently.
Headphones for jogging.......2007-11-02
I thought that the design of these headphones was brilliant in that they would wrap around your ears and not pop out while jogging. Well, they don't actually fall to my shoulders like the earbuds did, but the actual speaker does still pop out and the ear wrap piece twists while I run. The sound quality is great, but the design leaves a little to be desired.

No Bass.......2007-12-17
They are good when you exercise that's about it, absolutely zero bass, pretty lame overall, but comfortable. The item description doesn't come close to the actual product. Typical "made in China" quality.
Sennheiser OMX50 Street Line Flexible Stereo Clip-On Earphones.......2007-11-19
I am very pleased with the sound from these headsets, and am pleased it has the online volume control. The earclip and bud combo is comfortable and allows for some adjustments so you can fit it to your ear well. I am glad I purchased this headset. The reason I gave it a 4 out 5 is because of the cord. It's thin and tangles easy. I have a concern it could snap. Also, for my useage, the cord is a bit short. So, I purchased an extension cord from Amazon and it works well. I connect it to my laptop/PC so I can listen to internet radio.
Comfort yes---Sound Quality NO.......2007-11-02
I first became familiar with the Sennheiser product line in the 80's, and looked forward to portable ipod-stlye headphones with Sennheiser quality. Right out of the box they were incredibly comfortable, but when I turned on my ipod I could not believe how hollow and tin-like the sound was. It reminded me of those drug store hand held AM radios we listened to baseball games on when we were kids. And when I wore them jogging or bicycling I couldn't get over how much ambient noise (i.e. Traffic, etc.) you hear no matter how much you turn up the volume. In fact they were such a disappointment I took them off today while jogging and tossed them in a trash can. AND I HAVE ONLY HAD THEM THREE DAYS! Let the buyer beware that they are not woth the price tag. I went back to using a pair of old-stlye headphones that came with my Sony cassette walkman. In short, Sennheiser good, but these BAD.
Bass? Really??.......2007-08-02
This set of earphones is very comfortable, and as indicated by another reviewer, the adapters are NOT different sizes, but different shapes. While this product is general well-crafted, the sound quality did not meet expectations. The mids and highs were ok, but there is very little bass response (despite the claim). Even my standard PSP headphones had more bass than these, which was quite disappointing. Also, at mid-to-high volume (not crazy-high), distortion is introduced and easily heard. I think there are definitely better alternatives out there at this price point.
Too big for my ears.......2007-08-02
I bought these for working out (weight lifting, treadmill jogging, etc.) The ear pieces are too big for my ears, meaning I really have to ram them in in order to comfortably listen. Any slight movement or jog (if you'll pardon the expression) causes the earpieces to come out slightly, requiring readjustment.
I do like the inline volume control, but do not like the asymmetrical cord. If I was into asymmetry, I'd put 13" rimz on the driver's side wheels of my car, and 15-inchers on the right. But that's not how I roll.
When they are seated well, the sound is great. Unfortunately, this is a rare occurrence. Sweat can leach into the ear canal when you are working out hard (and you *should* be working out as hard as woodpecker lips), so this is inevitable. Also, there is no covering over the silver, screen-like earphone thingy that the speaker electronics lie beneath, so I imagine that soon, a drop of sweat will short the things out.
Minus two stars because of fit.
Minus two stars because of lack of water-resistant solution.
Plus one star because my biceps are bigger than yours.

Don't waste your money!.......2007-11-21
These looked like a good value and thought that they might be easy to use but after trying them on, they are very flimsy and hard to attach to your ears. After 5 mins or so they would start to hurt. Not a very good buy.
Horrible.......2007-11-05
I bought these because they had such good reviews. These things do not fit on the ear very well and they have horrible sound - no bass whatsoever. My last clip on the ear headphones from Best Buy are way better, but the pads are wearing out. Might have to make a trip to the store. At least these weren't very much money, but I bought two pairs.
Good sound and comfort.......2007-10-21
Love that I can color coordinate, lol sound quality is very good and the clip over the ears is very comfortable. I use with my MP3 oplayer to listen to books.
Good headphones.......2007-10-01
Works perfectly. with my last headphones, I jumped, and the cord went around my knee. when I landed, it ripped the cord in two places. with the extension cord, that can't happen, it will just unplug itself in the middle.
Great headphones :).......2007-09-19
I bought this after my original CD player earbuds started to cut out, and these headphones work wonderfully! :D
The interchangeable colors is a nice option as well :)

Noisy.......2007-04-04
i like the form factor, and the sound is decent but there is a very high frequency buzz that gives me a headache. It is most apparent when listening to talk radio. I will be returning these.
Creative Lab Wireless Headphones.......2007-04-01
Good product, good sound, some difficulty charging. headphone controls only work with certain devices though. Great product overall
meh.......2007-03-09
I wasn't too impressed. The sound would cut out every once in awhile even when the device was only 2 feet away. Also, the weight of the headphones pulled on my ears. Every time I took a step I could feel them and after an hour they would really start to hurt. The only positive is that with the adapter I can now order another pair of headphones that will hopefully be a little less painful.
They sound great but can't move too far.......2007-02-18
I use them with my ipod. I did a lot of research before choosing these headphones. I actually tried three different ones. I like that these have a flexible wire between the earphones and they are comfortable to wear. The only down side is I can't move too far from the transmitter. The sound is great though.
Batteries do not charge.......2007-01-15
I just purchased these after doing some research on the internet. These seemed like the headphones for me. I just got them last week and I have been trying to charge them. I read through the instruction manual and charged them according to the manual, but they did not behave according to the manual. When they charge, the red light is supposed to stay on until it is fully charged and then it turns blue. For me, it just turns off and then nothing. I have not been able to use them at all. Creative has yet to get back to me on replacing or fixing these. I'm still shocked that they can let something as defective as this out of their warehouses. Creative clearly has problems with quality control.

Sounds okay indoors, but tangles easily.......2007-01-03
I use these headphones primarily for audiobooks. In that capacity, the sound is perfectly adequate if you are indoors. I would not recommend these for outdoor use, or in noisy environments. Sony's "closed ear" design studio monitor headphones work better in those cases. These Sony headphones are also on sale at Amazon, or were at the time of this review.
For music the Jensen's are not spectacular, but are certainly no worse than any other "over the ear" design I have used.
My principal objection is that a section of the headphone wire is coiled, as in an old landline phone cord. To a degree this coiling functions as designed because it does reduce headphone cord pullout, however, when storing these in a pocket or anywhere else the coiled section is almost guaranteed to become very tangled with the non-coiled sections of the headphone's wires. As a result you'll spend about five minutes untangling headphone wires every time you pull these out to be used. Assuming you'd use these for extended periods indoors without removing them, I'd say they are worth buying. In other applications I would find a non-coiled set.

Best non studio headphones I've ever used.......2007-12-25
I've owned a couple of these headphones and I love them. I enjoy the long cord as it allows me to comfortably sit back at my desk, or put my radio/iPod deep into a coat pocket w/o worry.
I've worn these headphones for 12+ hour sessions and never have been uncomfortable with them. The clip is a great design that allows for good sound and comfortable wear.
Great Portable Headphones for the Price.......2007-12-15
Comfortable and compact - I could wear these all day - very secure fit. I think they sound great too.
My favorite feature has to be the way they connect in the back with a cable so that only one cable runs from the headphones down into your device (Zen Vision M for example). It seems like Sony always does this one cable thing and I like it. Cables annoy me and I've always been annoyed by a cable running down from each ear. I've bought many Sony headphones and I've been pleased with all of the purchases.
For the price, these are easy to recommend - you can't go wrong.
Note / Pet Peeve not specific to this product:
What's up with the interchangeable headphone caps that every company keeps including these days? Who cares? These interchangeable color headphone caps go straight into the trash as far as I'm concerned. Why would I want to change the color of my headphones? Are they supposed to be designer headphones at $10 a pair? Seriously? Headphone makers should toss this idea and then lower the price to pass on the savings to the consumer - with the savings, maybe I can splurge and buy a postage stamp ;>
Lots of sound.......2007-12-03
This is actually my second pair of these. They have great sound for a non-noise cancelling, non-in the ear, non-surround the ear headphone. I pick up sounds on these I don't hear with my studio headphones. The only problem is despite Sony's best effort the nature of ear wraps makes them hurt a little with extended use. My limit for these is about 90 minutes. But still they are by far my preferred headphones for my new Zune.
Comfortable and cheap; mediocre sound.......2007-11-07
As the title said, these are eminently functional headphones, and about the best price you'll find for a decent pair. My ears will not fit the standard ear buds, and I'm constantly searching for a good pair that go over the back of the ear. These are very affordable and durable (my last pair lasted for seven years), but they don't give great sound quality and will leave you lacking if you're a music aesthete. For around town and at the gym, though, they're a great buy.
Have been using them for years.......2007-11-06
I have been super happy with them for many years. If there is any complaint about them is that the foam pad has decayed over this time, and it doesn't seem possible to find replacement for these. It would be a pity to throw them away just because of the foam pad!
Instead of giving replacement caps, they should give replacement foam pads.

Not the best headphones, but they are pretty good for their extremely cheap price. Sound is pretty clear and they are quite comfortable, and you wont worry about them falling off
good maybe for elephants............2007-11-07
Following all the good reviews about these,I went and got a pair. It took me exactly 10 seconds to see what the problem is: these earphones are HUGE! How can anybody put that thing into his ear? And I an a pretty big guy. Of course, if they are not sitting properly in your ear the sound qulity is lousy. My only comfort is that I only lost 12$

Great headphones! Very comfortable!!.......2007-09-16
Great headphones!!! Very comfortable!!! You can get them in either black or orange. My brother has them in black and I have them in orange which helps us tell them apart but they fit smoothly around our ear and allow for easy take off when someone is talking to us. Also, they latch onto collars and other articles of clothing well (like pockets or the tops of pants) so you can use them go.

You Get What You Pay For.......2007-12-20
I've been using these earphones for about 2 years now.
Pros: Lightweight, fit well, rarely slip (and I mean RARELY)
Cons: Sound quality is a bit lacking, but is fine by me
Great headphones!!.......2007-10-06
Thes headphones are really great!! they always stay in your ear and are extremely comfortable, they have decent sound quality, way better sound than the headphones that come with the apple ipods.
The greatest earphones I've had... five or six times in a row........2007-09-26
The good part is that I can rely on Sony for making a product that has great sound quality in a small package. It is elegantly designed so as not to be lodged in your ear with an annoying fuzz protector that collects earwax, but rather plastic that slides naturally within your ear, and then handles that keep it steady around your ear, rather than wiggling about.
It is easy to fold up, and small enough to slip in your pocket, as well as producing high quality bass boosted sound that often makes my computer speakers seem tame!
By far, it is the best earphones I've ever had in life... about four or five times in a row.
Just like another reviewer, the EXACT SAME PROBLEM has occured to me in EVERY SINGLE PAIR I'VE OWNED! For about $10 lowest retail price, $12 dollars highest, these things have lasted at least 3 months, and at most a year, until the LEFT earbud simply shuts off. The wire leading in to the earbud either comes loose, or dissolves with use. If I held the wire at odd angles, the earbud would work, but otherwise it is simply finished.
My first pair was blue. The second was orange. The third was blue. The fourth was black. The fifth was lime green. This last one, which broke the record for how long it has lasted, was blue. Not one of these pairs have lasted longer than a year (except for the most recent pair) and they have ALL SUFFERED THE EXACT SAME ISSUE---THE LEFT EARBUD BREAKS.
In some cases, it had been justified---one pair I had was crumpled in my backpack, causing the left earbud to come apart---but it STILL worked. For most of the others, they had endured no rough conditions that normal earphones shouldn't easily rupture from. Even airport headphones have lasted longer!
For ten or twelve dollars, this is simply a ripoff. While I had the same earphones for almost eight years now, I have ended up spending almost 60 dollars for it, in the end.
I'm still sticking with Sony earphone products, but never again this one.
Very good all-around.......2007-07-03
I went through quite a few inexpensive headphones before settling on the MDRs. Other headphones would hurt my ear (earbuds), fall out of my ear, sound terrible, or the cord was too short to have my MP3 player in my pants pocket. These solved all those problems. They have a nice long cord, stay in my ear, are very comfortable, and as an added benefit they don't block outside sounds.
I thought the sound quality is excellent, but I listen almost exclusively to spoken podcasts, so I admit that frequency response isn't that critical for me. Sometimes you need to jiggle the speaker part more snugly against your ear canal to get the best sound.
The biggest drawback to these is that when they've been stored and you're trying to unravel the cord, the ear hooks act like grappling hooks and really get tangled up in the cord.
Sony Ear Clip Headphones.......2007-04-11
I bought these over a year ago for my mini-disc player and they still function perfectly, but keep in mind that I'm not an audio junkie. I'm not all that picky when it comes to sound quality (within reason). I have no complaints about the sound; I just wanted something that wasn't too bulky but wouldn't fall out of my ears.
I would have given these 5 stars, but I recently got glasses for the first time. This presented a bit of a problem because it feels awkward and uncomfortable to have both my glasses and these ear clips behind the ears. If you have glasses, these might not be for you. I'm probably going to switch to some earbuds if I can find something decent, but I'm going to miss these things.

Skip.......2007-11-05
Despite being quite good-looking in the box, these are surprisngly awful headphones for being a) $15 and b) made by Phillips - which was at least, at one time, kind of reliable. The sound quality is just bad, with no bass and an overall thin-ness - they sound like $5 headphones. To add insult to injury, the bulky clips make your ears stick out a little while you wear them, making you look goofy while you listen to thin audio on overpriced headphones.
Quality sound for the price........2007-07-15
For the price for these headphones, they output great sound. I am only moving on to another set of headphones because I like earphones/ear buds instead, and I have so many pairs of headphones that these need to go, I've decided to spend more money on other headphones instead. They are definitely great for the price, and they stay on the ears easily with the clips (with no annoying headband), and have good bass, mids, and highs. The sound is well equalized.
