Great Antec fan.......2007-11-01
I have 2 of these fans for my case. Thay keep my case very cool.
One of the fans isn't controlled by the system and is working at a 100% all the time and I don't ever notice it.
If you pay more than this for a fan, you are crazy. Its just a FAN!!!
Very inexpensive and quiet........2007-10-07
Fans are quiet and the speed control is a plus. The price was right especially with free shipping. The fans feature the small 3 prong connector for your motherboard with speed sensing and a large 4 prong molex connector. The large 4 pin Molex adapter can be removed.
Does the job, no bells or whistles though.......2007-05-13
Nice fan but i was expecting better but for the price it,s ok
Quiet, low air flow, even on high........2007-04-21
Claiming that this fan's "3-speed switch lets you balance quiet performance with maximum cooling", is very misleading. On low, the fan barely moves any air. On high, it still doesn't move much air, and is incredibly quiet, nearing silent in my opinion. If you are looking for a high performance fan that can be turned down while not under heavy loads, this is NOT the fan for you. The 3-speed switch is useless, as there is no reason to run it on anything other than high.
Quiet Fan as advertised.......2007-01-18
The fan is fairly quiet as advertised. The only problem I had was that they (2 fans purchased) would not rotate at the lowest speed setting (3 speed fan).

ZM-NC1000 Notebook Cooler, Black
Customer Reviews:
EXCELLENT Cooling Pad!.......2007-11-26
The Zalman NC1000 notebook cooler has to be amongst the best out there right now. This thing actually cools along the ENTIRE top surface area of the cooler (as opposed to one or two spots MOST other coolers focus on) so it really cools, at even levels, the entire bottom-side of the notebook. This is a huge plus in and of its own. Although I didn't see a 30% drop in temps (thats rather unrealistic), this thing does keep me at adequately safe temperatures even during the most CPU and GPU-taxing processes (in some situations, I saw drops of 10-15 degrees C).
The cooler is truly "silent". I can barely hear the thing at all except when I have the fans going at the maximum level (and even then, I hear nothing more than a gentle "whirring" sound - usually, the sound of the notebook running completely drowns out the fans altogether). This brings up another "PRO": the fans have multiple levels. Most of the other units simply have "On/Off" functions or 2 different levels. This unit has a jog wheel with varying speeds (much like a volume wheel) so you can adjust it according to what you're doing with your notebook.
The build quality is pretty remarkable. Although it's not a very heavy piece, it FEELS substantial. I haven't dropped it, but I'm certain that if I actually did, it wouldn't suffer from the fall. Most of the other coolers I was contemplating purchasing were made of plastic and just felt "cheap". Granted, the Zalman is one of the more expensive units, but the build quality, design and overall excellent functionality makes it more than worth it. I have no regrets spending the extra $15-20 on this thing.
The ONLY "CON" I can possibly list is that it's pretty much made for 15" notebooks. I have a 15.4" machine, so this doesn't really concern me at all, but, when fully centered, my notebook sticks out about 1/2" on either side. If you have a larger notebook, you may want to take this into consideration.
Overall, I'm thrilled with this purchase. I didn't really see myself spending $50 on a notebook cooler, but after actually using it, I have no doubt I made the right choice.
Excellent notbook cooler.......2007-11-15
I was looking for a notebook cooler for my qosmio notebook, which heats tremendously when playing games or encoding videos. Found this Notebook Cooler Black in amazon among other notebook coolers and and decided to buy this based on the existing reviews. I am very pleased with this so far. I opted for the black color and it makes an awesome base for my notebook. Also it perfectly fits the 15.4 inch notebook base perfectly. The dial control for the fan speed is neat. Only if the USB cable is smaller it would have been perfect, atleast in my case. My notebook has a USB port on the right side and the connecting cable is little too long. Overall it is good value for the money.
Works well, slightly uncomfortable.......2007-09-08
I like this cooler--it works well, very quiet, nice angle. My only objection is it is the back is not entirely closed-the top edge sticks out from the top and curls down to your lap, leaving the plastic edge to dig into your legs. Without that, it would be perfect. It's still usable on your lap, but not as comfy as it could be.
Cool Cooler.......2007-08-11
What's not to like? I've had this for about a month and I highly recommend it. Helps keep your laptop cool even without the fan on and does even better with the fan. You can barely hear the fan, anyone writing who complains about hearing the fan it is just plain nuts, too darn picky, works for a competitor or has a broken model.
The wedge design also make typing on your laptop more comfortabe, as though you had your computer propped up on a 3-ring binder.
I know you can buy other coolers for $20 or less, but this one is solid and sturdy.
What attracted me to this model is that the aluminum top doesn't have just two holes where the fans are, but a grate with hundreds of holes to allow the cooling action of the fans to directly affect a far greater percentage of the underside of the computer, and the holes help dissipate the heat better. It just makes more sense, it's a superior design worth the extra money.
Not good for 17" widescreens.......2007-08-06
If you have a 17" widescreen, and you like to press hard on your keyboard, this isn't that good. If you've got a 15" laptop, I think it will be fine, but I haven't tried it on a 15".
The side edges seem unstable with the 17".
I had to resell it at a loss, so it's better to try something else. Pacific Breeze by Spire is decent because it doesn't matter how large your laptop is.

Excellent and simple.......2007-07-28
Works great! I use it with my notebook both at home and travel. The foldout mouse pad is perfect when using the notebook in your lap. It's sturdy and provides ventilation for the computer. It doesn't get too warm on your lap. No complaints!! I'm about to get a second one for my wife's notebook.

Quiet, long power cord........2007-09-28
As previous reviewer stated, this fan is NOT double ball bearing which Antec give the code TriCool 92mm DBB.
The air flow is modest even at high speed.
That's how you get the silent cooling.
It works just like advertised.
I want to add one more point is that it comes with a fair long power cord.
This makes it perfect for using as the front fan.

Not the advertised fan.......2007-04-18
While the two fans I ordered for a new computer build are functioning properly, they are not as advertised on Amazon's website. According to the specs on the site, they have a double ball-bearing design which last longer than normal fans. Be warned, these are NOT the Antec double ball-bearing fans, but the less expensive ones. Have contacted Amazon and hope they update the specs to reflect these accurately.

Great Fan.......2006-11-10
The airflow is awesome. The Antec replacement fan is quieter than the original fan that came with my motherboard.
I plan on buying another fan for case.

Zalman CNPS9500 AT - The best S775 Cooler.......2007-09-03
Pros: EXTREMELY good cooling of even the hottest S775 CPUs, Very Quiet, Uses the PWM fan connector properly, typical Zalman quality and finish.
Cons: Heavy, Bulky, difficult to install.
Wow, is this thing strong! Very few coolers can match this one for performance AND it's nice and quiet as well. It cools even an extremely hot Pentium D 820 effortlessly. It is very bulky and heavy, plus you have to remove the motherboard to install it, but if you want maximum cooling for your S775 CPU look no further.
