Product Description
With this palm-fitted virtual gun, no enemy is safe in your crosshairs. Its life-like mold gives it a feel of authenticity, yet cannot be mistaken for a real gun with its white plastic façade. It has an infrared laser beam beneath the barrel so you can fire at your targets with pinpoint accuracy. Its smooth grip and texture along with its lightweight material makes it comfortable for extended play. Simply by placing the remote in the top cradle of the gun, you are ready to engage in virtual combat; all you have to do is aim and shoot.

seriously?.......2007-12-21
The other reviewers claim that there aren't any games that you can use the Z button as a trigger. This isn't entirely true. Some games allow you to change the button configuration to have Z be the trigger. Ghost Squad is one of them.
That being said, I wouldn't recommend this at all. A laser pointer? Really CTA Digital? You thought THAT would be a good idea?
Hang it up, CTA Digital.
Avoid at all costs.......2007-12-14
It is set up to use the Z button (on the nunchuk) for the trigger. Good idea except no game uses Z for a trigger, they use B! Avoid this waste of money at all costs!
Don't waiste your money.......2007-12-10
I was so excited when I first saw this item. I thought it will be cool to play Resident Evil or alike games with the feeling of a gun. DO NOT WAISTE YOUR MONEY. WHY?
1) Once you put the wiimote and you plugin the nunchuck on the holder, it is IMPOSSIBLE to take it away. I cut my hand trying to remove it.
2) A trigger is supposted to be on the trigger and for all games you must shoot with the B button which is on top.
3) Finally, you cannot even pass the cord from the nunchuck to the wiimote.
As a wii freak I love all kind of gadgets for my console, but this is something I shouldn't have bought. Worst product ever.
My cat loves it!.......2007-12-07
Bought this six weeks ago, and really, I haven't been able to use it for any game. The laser pointer is way off, the material is very cheap, so that it wobbles, and it really scratches the Wiimote and numchuck when putting them in place.
To shoot, you have to use both hands, twist your right wrist in a very uncomfortable way, then use your thumb to press the wiimote button. Eek.
Anyway. My cat loves it. All I have to do is pick the gun up, and she goes crazy looking for the laser. I guess that was her early Christmas gift.
How can this be a good Wii gun shell?.......2007-12-04
Okay, right from the picture, we can see that this is a light-gun shell that has as its trigger the Wii controller's Z button. From an ergonomic standpoint, that's fine. However, there are exactly NO Wii games which use the Z button as the trigger in light-gun games.
Of course, the Controller's B button is accessible in the forward position, but that's NOT what this shell is about, now is it?
So what is there to recommend this item? Nothing! If only there were some feature in the Wii game-selection menu (or within an individual game menu) which would permit reassigning controller-buttons, this might not be a problem. But even this minor detail has NOT been addressed by anyone; and that makes this device totally worthless (in my humble opinion, of course). As usual, ymmv; but in this instance, I'm sure your opinion won't vary that much from mine!

Simple and efficient.......2007-12-21
This is all you need. It is simple and easy. Do not buy anything more complicate than that.
Works very well, but switch is annoying.......2007-12-13
This device is only good for basic operations of forward/backwards of the slides and screen blanking. It does not move the mouse around or anything. It is easier to hold than the others I have used and that is a big plus.
The switch on the side is annoying as it is hard to move and if you leave it on, the battery will run down. They should have used a slide to power on style (with an off timer after non-use).
The laser pointer works well and the shape of the device makes it easy to hold steady.
Note that if you are presenting to a live audience, the laser pointer style is perfect. If you are presenting across the internet (e.g. GoTo meeting), then the laser is worthless and you should consider the more expensive ones that let you move the mouse cursor around.
Good product.......2007-12-12
Pretty small and light. Fits well in your hand. Works perfectly. I'm completely satisfied with this purchase.
good laser pointer.......2007-12-02
Targus Wireless Presenter with Laser Pointer
It works well, powerful laser for medium size rooms/classrooms.
battery life is ok, but you have to remember to shut it off.
I suggest using rechargeable batteries.
works also to change slide on presentations and switch to different applications, though it is easy to get confused
Works great.......2007-11-30
It does exactly what the product description said it would do, and exactly what I expected it to do for the price. It doesn't do a whole lot, but it does control my PowerPoint presentations well, and that's what I bought it for. I'm happy. The laser pointer maybe could have been a bit more powerful, but it wasn't expensive, so I'm not too worried.

Customer Reviews:
Great device for most use.......2007-12-21
I don't do many presentations, but this is a very useful device to help 'de-tether' yourself from your laptop. It worked fine with OpenOffice and powerpoint and had good range. (even walked out of the room/around the corner and it worked - not sure about some reports of 20feet) Basically this thing just plain works and while it doesn't have some of the fancy features, I didn't find myself wanting them.
Pros:
- Small design
- No drivers required
- USB connector fits inside device for storage
- Good range
- Runs on standard AAA batteries
- foward/reverse buttons are also great for scrolling through a document or code samples. (while still discussing them from the other side of the room)
Cons:
- Laser pointer emulating the F5 key when you don't want/need it to. (when previewing an app in IE)
- Laser pointer could be brighter (but it's not that bad really)
Great Product!.......2007-12-19
The remote worked very well and with very good range in a large meeting room. The plug and play feature is really excellent - immediate and with no fear of software or install issues when plugging in for an instantaneous presentation on any computer system. The remote could be a tad smaller but fits comfortably in the hand. The laser pointer was a bit hard to see on a very bright presentation screen but this may have been more a function of the screen that the device since it worked well in other settings.
Perfect Presenter.......2007-12-18
This presenter is just what I needed for teaching classes. It is easy to use and has a screen black out button which is great for directing participants attention to flip chart activity. The presenter is comfortable to handle and works great. Very good product for those who conduct presentations or teach classes.
Much improved.......2007-12-01
This Kensington mouse is great for presenting up to 50 feet away. It's nice that the reciever fits into the unit itself, and the laser pointer won't activate unless the reciever has been removed from the base. The best bosus is that this model works on triple A batteries vs. the previous version that took watch batteries. Good small meeting room presentation device.
Great little gadget.......2007-11-29
Bought this for my husband, he is a Professor and uses it for presentations, he loves the advancer and the laser..a great tool!

Customer Reviews:
Amazing at first........2007-07-31
I was very surprised at how strong the beam was initially. Problem was that the unit is very cheaply made and the contact point with the button became loose by the 2nd hour of operation. This resulted in an inconsistent beam that worked only part of the time.
Well...it is a laser pointer...........2007-07-21
I just received my item and after testing it out, the beam is barely visible in daylight. Night time it may go its "600 feet" distance, but the beam is VERY small, and VERY weak. I tried it with some brand new batteries and same effect. it only operates at 5mw of power
NOT STABLE.......2007-06-28
the unit is not stable. The laser has deffects in size and the intensity is variable. Beaware, maybe I got a deffective one so I am thinking about returning it.
Green laser.......2007-06-27
Excellent laser pointer, brighter than most I've seen, and at quite a reasonable price. I am very happy with it.
Money well spent for a laser pointer.......2007-06-13
After countless purchases of crappy laser pointers that eat the batteries (yes those small possibly swallowable batteries)I finally found one that has yet to dissappoint me. Sure red is a cool color and all and those laser pointers may have been cheaper on cost, they cannot measure up to this MiracleBeam Green Laser pointer. I've abused the heck out of this thing and the batteries have held up (This puppy takes AAA batteries by the way) So lets review
1 - Much powerful laser beam (which puts the red to shame)You can aim this thing up at night and see it's path on most occassions
2 - It takes AAA batteries not those easily lost watch batteries
3 - A green laser so people won't think "OMG a red laser duck!"
My cat and my guinea pig get a kick out of it (I'm sure dogs would too)Sure it may seem pricey but its worth it. I now wonder what other colors for laser pointers are out there.

Customer Reviews:
purchased for my cat.......2007-09-11
This was a cheaper version of the laser pointer than at the store. My cat loves it. I don't use the 42 heads but had fun to see what they are: a snowman, a cross, a flower, and more.
Cool.......2004-07-04
I have a different laser pointer than this one. But I cant seem to find anything that resembles mine. My laser comes with 4 extra heads witch feature: a lady in a dress.(?) A UFO looking thing, some dude that looks like a clown or the gingerbread man or something, and a bunch of swirly lines. this thing is really cool and I got it at the Butler Fair. It came with all that I have mentioned for only 2 dollars! Thats a bargain! I really want everyone to have this awesome product.
Inconsistent quality.......2004-06-23
I just bought three laser pointers from two different sources through Amazon, and the quality is not the same. Two from performancepda_com were ok ($14.95) and one place that did not come with 42 head which cost
<$9.50 was useless. Terrible quality of the laser beam. Cannot see far at all and the beam was narrow. Overall, very poor quality for presentation purpose. If you use for fun, then it is ok.
Mine didnt come with 42 heads, but its awesome!.......2004-03-07
I just got this laser yesterday (March 6) and i think its so cool! Its awesome in the dark, and its fun to annoy youre little sister with! My dad thinks its cool to, and why wouldnt he? Mine didnt come with 42 heads, in fact, it didnt come with any except the origanal one. The only thing it did come with were 2 batteries, but I dont really care its still awesome!
Clearline Laser pointer.......2003-11-14
Since that I have misplaced my original (presumely same model), I have purchased the new one and my original cap didn't fit on this new model! argh! I'll have to workaround it. My original caps are of excellent quality and even has better arrows and pointing hand as well. I noticed one of this new pointer cap has reversed image of "happy" with foot.

Customer Reviews:
Broke after 2 uses.......2006-08-13
I bought this pointer because of the price. I used it once and it worked well, the second time was a month later and the batteries inside it were dead, but it worked upon changing them. 3 months later I needed it again and it is not working, I tested the new batteries I put in, which are fine, and nothing. This was not a good purchase.
Quality laser pointer.......2005-09-15
As an engineer I use laser pointers in work meetings all the time and I have had many break or die on me in meetings but this Apollo point is sturdy and has a very bright beam.
Great product for the price.

No more walking to or reaching for your laptop, or calling out "Next", every time you want to change slides. The simple buttons on the wireless remote control allow you to control applications such as Microsoft PowerPoint from up to 30 feet away - and you don't have to aim the remote control or worry about line-of-sight obstructions because the Tote-Remote is RF (radio frequency) controlled rather than infrared. And because the Tote-Remote works with your own laptop, no matter where you go and what projector you use, you can always rely on your familiar and easy-to-use Tote-Remote to help you make a very fluid presentation uninterrupted by disruptive walking, reaching, or calling out to advance slides. The small size and lightweight of the Tote-Remote remote control and receiver make it very convenient for the mobile professional who does a lot of business travel. The Tote-Remote includes a laser pointer button, an F5/Esc button for entering and exiting slide shows, and a wheel button that sends "arrow up - arrow down" commands for reversing and advancing slides.
Amazon.com Product Description
Power Point presenters will love this smoothly curved remote control. Instead of having to stay near the laptop, Atek's Tote-Remote gives you up to 30 feet of roaming room. The dongle-style base uses a radio frequency to communicate with the controller, which means you don't have to worry about maintaining a clear line of sight during your presentation. The wheel built in to the side offers page up/page down functions along with cursor scrolling; a laser pointer allows you to easily highlight specific items on your agenda. The sole button provides you with instant "escape" ability. Atek includes a one-year warranty.
Customer Reviews:
lifesaver!.......2007-08-04
love it - finally a product that is mac friendly and works for powerpoints. thanks - I love it!
Great little device.......2007-05-30
Very small and light and easy to control. Allows you to blank the screen when needed. USB installation was painless as it was plug-n-play. Great range - about 30-40 feet. Overall, a great tool.
Good.......2007-01-12
I received the tote-remote sooner than I was expecting. My presentation was a success!
Laser point could be stronger.......2006-12-27
The laser point of this remote is noticeable smaller and dimmer than other laser pointers I've seen. Comparing it to two laser pens that I have (one is smaller than the remote itself) confirmed this. I question how visible this laser would be for people in the back of a large room against a large, bright projection.
Great for Teachers.......2006-11-05
Last year I struggled to get the remote that came with the multimedia projector to properly operate Powerpoint presentations. It was difficult to use and kept me from moving around the classroom. Using the Tote Remote has changed all that. It's small, light, easy to use, and was even easy to install on our ultra-secure school computer system. I recommend it to all teachers using Powerpoint presentations.
