Sit close to your Computer.......2007-11-03
Headphones work great, comfortable, good sound quality, but wish the phone leads just came out of one side, another drawback, depending on whether you're are right on top of your PC or not, the overall cord length is too short, only 40" long. There are better choices out there. I have similarly priced headphones that have a 98" cord, and it comes out of only one side of the phones. I would recommend shopping around if this cord length may be an issue for you. Extension leads may be purchased, but cost almost as much as the headphones themselves! Luckily I had an old extension lead. Sorry SONY. A die hard SONY fan nevertheless.
Eep.......2007-09-23
They work, but that is about the best I can say for it. They are a poor fit to the ear and worse of all, the cord is very, very short. This is not suitable unless you can have the source very close to you, and useless if your audio jack is in the back of your computer as it won't reach.
Great for the price........2007-09-08
Some inexpensive headphones were needed for a children's computer lab. These fit the bill perfectly. The sound quality is decent and they appear to be fairly sturdy (none broken after six weeks of kid use). For an adult, the over the head piece is a bit snug, but with a child's smaller head, they work fine.
Sony Bargain Headphones.......2007-05-18
I understand the concept of "you get what you pay for," and I also thought that the Sony brand stood for at least a reasonable expectation of quality no matter the price. So I was very disappointed to discover that these $9.99 headphones are inferior to the ones that came with the Magnavox JogProof CD player that I purchased from Kragen Auto Parts for $15.99.
Quite satisfactory - full bass - good clarity.......2007-04-20
Back in the 1980's I purchased an Awia portable stereo cassette player (walkman) based on it's superior sound (at least compared to others that were offered at the time). I was still using the headset that came with that stereo until a couple days ago when the left side quit. I was very satisfied with the sound as I thought it was well balanced and natural. For a replacement I wanted something that sounded similar to what I was used to hearing. Having been out of the market for 20 years, I had no idea what the new headsets were like. I tried an in the canal type headset and was disappointed in the lack of bass response (comapred to what I was used to). So I decided to try a headphone that was more like the Awia with the open speakers. Sony kept appearing as a highly regarded brand. I wasn't looking for audiophile quality - I probably can't hear that well any more anyway - I just wanted good and cheap. This Sony headset should fit the bill for me. It is a little fuller in the bass than I am used to, but the clarity is considerably better. I described my old Awia headset as being balanced and natural - like a concert hall - and not in need of an equalizer. In comparison I think I would describe this Sony headphone as full and clear, like a studio - more like listening through an enclosed headphone than an open headphone. It's not quite like my old headphones, but quite satisfactory. I think if you like a full bass response you will like this headphone set.
I don't feel as though these are going to fall off my head - actually they are quite tight and I am going to see if I can relax the headband a bit.

Just what I was hoping for.......2007-08-24
I'm impressed with this little thing. The case is well-made and has a very solid feel. The Nano fits perfectly into the skin and into the MiniBlaster. I didn't have difficulties with the fit like others mentioned. Getting the Nano out takes some pushing, but that's the way it should be. You don't want it falling out on it's own and hitting the pavement. All the Nano controls are accessible. The front, circular control (volume/scroll) works fine through a silicon skin and is very protected.
The reason we buy this thing is for sound and size. Size and weight are impressively minimal. You won't beat that anywhere. As for sound, it's not a home entertainment center or a Bose IPod system - it's a tiny little device that offers maximum portability. If you can bring your Bose system along with you, then do it. If you need something small and more portable, then read on.
The sound has a distinct clarity. Mids to highs are crisp and well separated. What you loose is bass. It's attenuated, but not dull or muddy. I wasn't expecting strong bass with a frequency response of 450Hz to 20KHz. It's not built for it and shouldn't be expected.
It's made, as others have said, for you and a couple of friends in an environment without too much ambient noise. If you are looking for a system that you can play at a beech party with a big group of friends, keep looking, because this isn't it. Too many voices chatting away will drown this little thing out.
In a reasonably quiet room or out on the trail, you get enough volume to really enjoy the music. It's loud enough to hear the detail in the sound. It even gets too loud for conversations and has to be turned down. Don't get me wrong, the neighbors won't be calling or stomping on the floor. It has what it needs to fill the niche that it's designed for.
I personally like the sound with the EQ set to "Small Speakers" - seems like a good balance for Classic Rock which I tend to listen to the most.
If you want a small, light and very portable speaker system to free you from headphones and make portable music a social experience between friends again, then you are onto something.
Enjoy!
Great for use while traveling.......2007-08-11
I wanted to be able to listen to podcasts and my own music while commuting and so first purchased (for $80) an FM converter that plugged into the lighter and my iPod and then matched an unused frequency to play what was on the iPod. The sound wasn't great and it changed depending on where I was driving. I spent a lot of time trying to find the right static frequency and match it with the device. In the short time that I tried it out I had to switch frequencies twice.
So, I looked for a speaker. I decided that it wouldn't be a disaster to buy something at this price to try even if it didn't work great. It was what I was looking for! I can use it in the car and also other places where I want to play what is on my ipod so that others can hear. It is not great sound quality, but it is much better than what I was getting with the FM converter and much easier. I can either use batteries or the AC adaptor (I already have a device that converts the cigarette lighter into AC power).
It is a great solution for what I was looking for.
Good Product.......2007-07-26
I recommend this product over similar products that are outrageously expensive. Powerful sound for it's size and easy to use. Great value.
Wow, under 15 bucks including shipping!.......2007-07-04
Don't expect too much bass out of -any- tiny speakers but as a way to turn your nano into a sort of 21st century "transistor radio" equivalent with stereo audio and a better sound quality, this little thing is superb. Talk radio podcasts are delivered very clearly and music can be enjoyed to an extent especially if you choose an appropriate EQ setting on your nano. Volume capability is decent, just don't expect to entertain an audience bigger than about two or three. Battery life is good for the 4x AAA batteries.
JLab Audio.......2007-06-08
The sound is good from the Miniblaster, but getting my Ipod in and out of it is a real chore!! It is very difficult to do. It not only is very hard to place in the miniblaster, but getting it out is even worse. I like the size of it as it doesn't take up a lot of room when I place it on the counter. Just difficult to use. It is also hard to adjust the volume with the "skin" on it.

Great sound quality for such a tiny package.......2007-11-05
I bought the miniblaster portable speaker in December 2006. I was amazed at the quality of the sound for such tiny speakers. Now, almost one year later, the speakers are still going strong. If you are looking for good quality pocket size speakers, these are a good choice.
A Great iPod Speaker........2007-08-08
It is tiny, compact (no wiggley parts to break off) it runs on batteries as well as AC and I am completely delighted with it.JLab Audio MBBG1 Miniblaster Portable Speaker for iPod Nano (Gen 1) - Black
STOP THINKING AND BUY IT.......2007-07-28
Best bang for the buck...i read all the reviews. just buy it. you can't beat $15 shipped. it gets the job done.
Excellent Company.......2007-06-11
My 11 year old daughter saved her $$ and did some on line research and ended up buying these. She loved them for the size which allowed her to take them into bed, on the bus etc. The audio in my opinion was "OK", but she was very happy.
We had bought them along with their noise reducing ear buds which I use while traveling in planes. I can wear them x- country very comfortably
Unfortunately we had technical problems and contacted JBL. I happened to email them on a Sunday afternoon and in about 15 minutes a real person (Josh) responded. A real person.... on a Sunday!!
He resolved the issue- which ultimately required a warranty replacement.
I cannot say enough good things about this company and Josh. I woudl buy their products again without hesitation
What a disappointment........2007-05-26
On my first foray into looking for the perfect mini speaker for my Ipod, I bought the Aiptek Mist for Nano (not realizing it only works with Gen 2 Nano)---boy, was it a cute little thing. Disappointed they don't make that product for Gen 1 Nanos, I searched Amazon for the perfect replacement mini speaker that would work with my Nano Gen 1. The JLab Miniblaster had 4 stars. Folks, speak up, because I cannot be the only one who was shocked by the low quality of this product!!
*When I first plugged it in, you couldn't hear anything because of interference from my TV remote!
*When I finally heard sound it was fuzzy at best and never got much better
*The volume level is only a smidgen better than what I can hear through my earbuds when they are out of my ears!
I read and re-read the direction and am convinced I did everything properly. I even tried it with battery power only, in the house, out of the house. No luck. This is a lousy product and I am giving it one star. This is being shipped back today.

Converts audio source with 6.3mm (1/4") output to your headphones with a 3.5mm (Mini) plug
Customer Reviews:
Careful about which way around..........2004-08-06
I wanted to connect my 3.5mm headphones to a 6.3mm socket, so I ordered one of these. At the time title & description on this page read:
"ARISTA 16-098 6.3mm (1/4") to 3.5mm (Mini) Headphone Adapter"
"Converts audio source with 6.3mm (1/4") output to your headphones with a 3.5mm (Mini) plug"
I received the correct part number, but is was in fact the other way around: it allows you to plug big headphones into a little socket.
However, when I called J&R about this they were very helpful, and immediately sent me part 16-097, for no charge.
I presume that this page will be corrected at some point; that's why I put the description in here so that you can tell whether it's changed.

Port Replicator Lenovo.......2007-09-03
This product we very frequently bought for nnuestro main client Dominican Popular Bank, which is used to obtain a greater performance in its portable equipment
Well done Lenovo.......2007-04-07
I would have given this 5 stars but it only comes with 1 ps2 port and my keyboard and mouse both need one so I knocked it down a peg because there's all kind of ports I don't use, it would have been nice to have one that I do use. Really though, it's a well made unit and I have no complaints thus far. It's a big time saver without having to unplug cords from the unit and if you don't need the add-on cd drive it's a much better value then the full size dock.
Works as it should.......2006-12-13
This Thinkpad Dock, built for the IBM Thinkpad T60, works very well - it is an excellent port replicator, short of the full-sized advanced dock by only 1 USB port and the expansion bays. The design is also a lot more attractive than that of the T-43 Port Replicator. There is an "undocking" system, but I usually, just eject the Thinkpad, without any ill effects to either the dock or my laptop. (The ejection process is annoying because my external hard drive sometimes does not stop immediately). My own wishes for this product are: 1) It included FireWire ports, and 2) It was cheaper. Just like all proprietary products, it sells for a lot more than it's worth.
Last note: The dock has these ports and features
4 USB 2.0
DVI
VGA
Ethernet
Phone jack
PS2
Serial
Microphone (Audio In)
Headphone (Audio Out)
S/PDIF
Power adapter
Lock
and couple more that I have no use for and will not even bother to look at. Full specs are at the company website.

Mini Y-adapter for Zune
Amazon.com Product Description
Share your favorite Zune music and movies with a friend with the Monster MusicShare headphone Y-splitter. Terrific for traveling in airplanes or entertaining the kids in the backseat, the Y-splitter not only duplicates the audio signal, but it also includes independent volume controls. As a result, each person can set the volume to his or her preferred level, creating a comfortable listening experience for all. And thanks to the quick-access mute switch, either listener can also mute the headphones without interrupting the other person's listening session--a must when one person's cell phone rings, for instance. Perhaps the best feature, however, is Monster's rugged construction technology, which ensures that the MusicShare splitter won't short after just a few quick months. Construction details include a flexible Duraflex cable jacket, a strain relief collar that prevents wear while the MusicShare sits in your pocket or purse, and a heavy-duty exterior that protects the MusicShare from knocks and drops. The MusicShare headphone splitter, which plugs into any standard 1/8-inch mini headphone jack, is backed by a five-year limited warranty.

Warning for non-Zune buyers: consider the alternative.......2007-09-23
Looking for a Y-connector for headsets to use with an iPod or other MP3 player or with a laptop? Consider the following product, which is on another Amazon web page:
Monster AICYP 200 iSplitter 200 Mini Y-Adapter for iPod w/ Volume Control/Mute (AICYP 200)
The specs for the Monster AICYP 200 iSplitter say it connects two sets of headphone to iPod, MP3 player, laptop, portable CD/DVD/game system, and smart phone. It has built-in dual volume controls enable individual listening levels and individual mute switches.
And the the Monster AICYP 200 iSplitter is currently $6.47 less.
I don't know if the AICYP 200 iSplitter on the other page is any different than the one for the Zune and therefore can't recommend the the Monster AICYP 200 iSplitter if you have a Zune. But if you don't have a Zune, then there is no reason to spend the extra money (based on current pricing) on the splitter for the Zune.

Customer Reviews:
Ear Ache.......2007-10-24
I have search high & low for the perfect pair of headphones to use while working out. These are not them. They're too large for my ears and are uncomfortable to wear. Might work for someone with bigger ears though.
Waste.......2007-10-10
These headphones basically suck. They don't fit well, and consistantly fall out while I'm walking with even the slightest tug on the cord. They don't wrap around very well either. Basically, just don't buy this.
Didn't fit my ear and the sound is so so.......2007-10-07
These headphones didn't fit my ear and YOU CAN'T ADJUST them. Either they fit or they don't. It's a 50/50 chance. The sound is just acceptable. I also bought Coby Super Bass Digital Stereo Earphones and love it! The sound is excellent and are extremely comfortable. If you need an ear-hook, try Philips.
good for running.......2007-08-25
I use them when I run. The are flexible and stay in place quite well. I'm buying another pair.
Decent Sound, Good Comfort, Stays in Place.......2007-06-25
I hate earbuds. They are uncomfortable and fall out when I'm walking. The sound on these headphones is decent, they are comfortable, and they stay in place when I'm walking and running. Given the price, they are a great alternative.
