I bought this after my other Microsoft Notebook mouse (wireless but not bluetooth) died. I have been wanting this bluetooth mouse ever since I bought the new Thinkpad T61 with bluetooth built-in, so it's actually good that the old mouse went belly up. This new mouse is similar to the old one in terms of size and feel. I have medium sized hands for a woman so it's reasonably comfortable. The package contains batteries as well as a carrying case. Microsoft thought of all the littl details, except that forward button. What's so hard about adding a forward button if the back button is provided? That's why I took away one star - actually I only want to take away half a star but there's no way to do that. Performance wise it's very good - perhaps a bit too sensitive but I am getting used to it. Once set up it connects almost instantly to my Thinkpad. So far no disconnections yet. Also I have used it on all kinds of surfaces including my thighs, bed linens/blankets and the palm rest of my thinkpad. Very happy with this purchase. How long will it last remains to be seen. My previous wireless mouse lasted for almost 2 yrs - while my very old wired Microsoft optical mouse lasts forever (still going and going...).

Got this mouse for my husband for Christmas and it has worked out great. He uses it with his Apple Laptop. He didn't miss the "back" button because he wasn't used to using it in the first place. It is very small and compact, easy button for turning on/off, light is lite on the top to know that it is on.

No problems getting this configured - plug in the batteries and it works. This was my first bluetooth peripheral and it is very cool how it just works without wires, transmitters, etc. I have used wireless mice before and this is a much cleaner solution (but this comment would apply to any bluetooth mouse).
The mouse is responsive and convenient - but perhaps just a shade too small for my hands, although my kids think it is just perfect. Nice to travel with, so much better than using the track pad.
Great Product...Good enough for UPS to steal.......2007-12-21
Well I was really excited to recieve this product. I had searched for some time to find the right bluetooth mouse, and one that would work nativly with my new laptop. I made the purchase and began the waiting process. About a week later I checked the status on Amazon to see that the product had been damaged. Upon further review on the UPS website I found that the product had not been damaged but instead during the shipping process (from one UPS facility to another) the packaged had been opened and emptied. The UPS website went as far as to say they threw away the empty package. I contacted both Amazon and UPS to discuss what happend, Amazon promptly refunded the purchase and UPS refused to discuss it. So all in all im sure its a great product, and I hope the theif from UPS is enjoying his early Christmas gift. I would like to commend Amazon on their no hastle policy for this, but condem them for choosing UPS as a shipping partner.

Bought this mouse a couple of days ago.
Well sensetivity is pretty poor, not realy a gaming mouse.
If ur playing games in which you need precise chrosair, like Counter-Strinke, TF2 etc..u should get something else.
Guality of the mouse is good, its shiny and all that.

It's a pretty basic mouse, but it's one of the best I've used. The bluetooth works well and had no issues connecting with my computer. It's well designed and ergonomically comfortable despite seeming a bit small, and I have large hands. Comes with a travel bag that is, again rather basic, but very practical. I usually find laser mice to be oversensitive, but this mouse is well balanced in terms of accuracy and sensitivity. No unique features here, but if you looking for a basic, good quality, stylish, bluetooth mouse for your laptop, or even a desktop, this is it.

I am using the Logitech V470 with a MacBook Pro and it's awesome. It works really well, and feels solid. The software doesn't take over the machine like some other companies Intellimouse ;) software. I have large hands, but this mouse fits great and is very comfortable. I also run Windows in Parallels and its great on that side of the world.

Purchased for iMac as a replacement for the bluetooth Mighty Mouse, since the MM scroll button stops working after a while, and I have to pry it apart to clean it. This is a more than adequate substitution, the wheel tilts to the right or left, allowing horizontal scrolling in Photoshop, etc. This might be hard on larger hands, as it's a small mouse, only 4 inches (10 cm) long and 2.35 inches (5 cm) wide. It is symmetrical, will work easily with either hand. I notice that as it wakes or sleeps, it interrupts the sleep cycle of my computer, something that I wouldn't notice if I chose a later time to sleep my computer. Sleep is not user settable with the software that comes with it. Wakes from reserve quickly. Crisp action.

I was a little hesitant about this mouse after reading that it is on the same frequency as my wireless home network, but am glad I decided to try it. I am happy to report after using it for a few weeks now that I have had no noticeable problems using this either at home or at school where there is a wireless network as well. The setup was easy, the mouse works as advertised, and because it is bluetooth I don't need to have a key sticking out of my laptop to use it. I recommend getting yourself 4 rechargeable AA's, one set to use and one to use while charging, so you don't have to keep buying batteries.

I bought this mouse about a month ago for my new laptop. It was very easy to setup and start using. I love the Bluetooth feature since I don't have any receivers protruding from my laptop. Overall, this is a great mouse.

This mouse replaces the corded one that came with my ASUS laptop. The new mouse fits the hand well and is lighter than I thought since it has two AA batteries. There is no lag when moving from a stationary position. It is very sensitive and I use it on my leg or chest with no problem. Well worth the price. I never turn it off and the batteries have not been replaced yet.

This will be short and sweet. This mouse is fantastic. The build quality is top notch, with the materials being smooth and sturdy. The scroll wheel is smooth, but not loose, and the top shell is perfect. It also is light and small, but isn't too small for big hands like some notebook mice, and has a solid weight to it, while still being light.
The Bluetooth works seamlessly with my MacBook Pro, running Leopard, and the battery life is good. The Laser tracking is spot on, with no jumping around. The best part is that there is no little dongle that takes up a USB port.
If you want a good wireless mouse, stop looking and buy this one. I guess the best thing I can say about it is that it makes me want to use my mouse more and more.

Worked perfectly with my Vista laptop. I don't notice any lag at all when using the mouse, and works on every surface I've tried so far. It's a laptop mouse, not full-size, so it takes a little getting used to if you are coming from a desktop mouse.

Great Keyboard and mouse.......2007-12-30
Well if you are not computer savvy, I dont recommend this product. What happend to me was that 3 days after I got the product, I clicked on the connect button under the keyboard, because I lost my signal and it asked me for the passcode it showed on the screen (why they chose to do it this way, I have no Idea), well by mistake I typed in the wrong code and it locked me out. Luckly I owned a wired keyboard and mouse, so I had to use them to log in after restarting. I was able to get everything working fine after that. So far so good.
One bad thing is that it still has some kinks to be worked out. When surfing the Internet, I like to use the back button on the mouse, instead of using the browser button, somehow It gets stuck and when you type anything, it keeps on going back. I'm still trying to work it out.
I recommend it if you know what you are doing, and you don't usually call the help desk, because they will not be able to provide much help. If you are not good with computers, I recommend you to buy another logitech wireless system, not the bluetooth.

Its Bluetooth connection loses very often, once every half hour or so. And when the connection is lost, there's no way to reconnect except for waiting for it to recover itself in a minute or two. (As I'm typing this review, I lost my keyboard connection once...)

i found that mouse fails especially when I'm doing some serious work running against time. forget about the monitory thing, it not only wastes your time in setting it up several time a day but also irritates you and tortures you mentally when the mouse denies to work while you are seriously working. my best advise is, don't buy this
NOT VISTA 64 BIT COMPATIBLE.......2007-10-05
ok, For anyone thinking of upgrading to windows vista 64bit THIS IS NOT COMPATIBLE. Logitech in my experience makes excellent and durable cordless mouse and keyboard sets. Im sure this is not an exception and I would give this a 4 or 5 star except for the fact it lists on the box that it is vista compatible.. vista 64 is still vista and they need to specify it does NOT WORK on it. so the vista compatibility is a crock. (the fact it came out before vista is irrelevant... as it says on the box it is compatible and they can support thier products by creating drivers) The problem is the bluetooth dongle is not recognized and is a "unknown" device. (works fine in vista 32 bit). looking at the support boards ect this is a common problem.. there are supposedly work arounds (you should not have to.. when it says vista compatible) like installing another companies dongle drivers or editing microsoft configuration files, rebooting , press F8, buy another dongle to use with it.. sell your first borns soul... that sort of thing. works for some, not for most. how much of this is logitechs fault and how much is microsoft's is not really clear.. but vista compatible is certainly misleading and Im sure there is more than a couple thousand boxes sitting in peoples garage because logitech doesn't list this right or support it.. shame on you logitech.. great way to lose loyal customers who have been so for years.
create a damn 64 bit driver or specify clearly on the packaging NOT FOR USE WITH VISTA 64 BIT.. my take.. wait for then next version of the combo which hopefully vista 64 will support or better yet vote with your wallet and buy another brand. 2 stars for false advertising. otherwise probably a decent product in xp.

I was worried about buying this set after reading some negative reviews about it. I picked up this set for $55.00 refurbished @ e*** and I am very glad I did. Key factor with the bluetooth technology is the software version, I am using the latest version and it works as advertised. So far I only have good things to say about it, specially the price for such an awesome set. I would suggest anybody in doubt to buy it. You will be very happy too but make sure you follow the installation instructions to the dot and that you use the latest software version for your particular O.S. (XP, Vista, etc).

I like this Mouse because it is small and it is work in Bluetooth not in wireless so, you do not need any extra device to connect it to your PC unlike wireless Mouse.Also, You can save battery power because you can turn the Mouse on or off. The laser's light in this Mouse without any color unlike other laser mouse which its laser has red light.

This is an excellent bluetooth mouse. I have had my Dell laptop with Bluetooth built in for some time now. I finally realized that I could eliminate "dongles" and cords and get one of these. Since there really isn't a huge selection available yet for Bluetooth mice, this was the clear cut winner. And it has not disappointed. Set up was quick and easy. Now I don't have to do anything and everytime I turn my computer on the mouse is already connected. The only problem is battery life. It seems to have only lasted a couple weeks. I think that I am supposed to actually turn the mouse off when I am done using it. This is definitely a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

I purchased this keyboard/mouse combo in Aug of 2007. I like the look and feel of it, however almost immediatly I started having problems with the spacebar not responding. Unless you press hard on the middle of the spacebar it will not leave a space. I have read many others have had the same problem.
I called Logitech customer service. (I could not find a toll-free number so it was on my dime) The man I spoke with was nice, but the first solution he had for me was for me to send my keyboard to logitech first and then they would send me a replacement one in 4 to 8 weeks. I told him that was unacceptabble as I dont have another keayboard to useuntill the replacement one arrived. He then told me if I have my proof of purchase(I got it here on amazon so I could print one) I could fax it in to logitech and they would send me a replacement one in 4 to 8 weeks.

It was love in first sight. I give it a perfect score by the appeal and feel of the keyboard and mouse. However, it took me some time to set the keyboard and mouse up. I didn't use the software that came out of the box, instead I downloaded the latest software from the Logitech website. At first the bluetooth receiver only picked up the keyboard and the mediapad and had a hard time finding the mouse. Finally, about an hour or so, the receiver picked up the mouse and everything worked perfectly. There was no delay and cons like how the others reviewed it. However, the next day I downloaded the updated software and had to do the entire process again. This time I had a harder time because the receiver couldn't find all three hardwares! It took me about a day to figure out what was the problem. The problem was the hub. All you have to do is turn off the hub with the software Logitech gives you and the receiver will find all three hardware instantly . After 2 days of hard work, I can say that I am happy with my purchase. So the hard part is just setting it up. As for some of the bad reviews on this product, it's just the problem of setting it up.

I have literally used this mouse every day for work and play for about two years since it first came out. I have barely used the keyboard it sits in storage so i wont comment on that.
Bluetooth: I havent had any problems with the bluetooth on the mouse. I dont use the provided USB BT becuase it just connects straight to my laptop's internal bluetooth and unlike other bluetooth mice this doesnt lag much when it comes back from power saving mode its available very quickly.
Construction: Extremely durable. I have thrown, dropped, kicked, scuffed and abused this mouse for a long time and it still works perfectly and is in good condition. I have had to replace the plastic slide pads undernearth a few times now because ive had it for so long.
Software: I dont use the provided logitech software at all, its only useful for the extra mouse button configuration but the mouse runs fine without it.
Battery: The strong internal battery combined with their power saving system is absolutely awesome. Mine usually lasts about a week of solid use before i have to recharge it. And the battery indicator on top of the mouse is relaiable and linear. By that i mean it wont say its full then half an hour later die. Most of the time you still have half a dozen hours of use left when its on its lowest indicator level. Takes a couple hours to fully charge.
Accuracy: The tracking is precise you can definately use this mouse for fast paced gaming or design applications. I havent had any tracking or accuracy issues.
Feel: I have your average large male sized hands and I find it very comforatble and it has a good weight to it. It has sufficient ergonomics to 'rest' comfortably but enough grippy pieces to allow for detailed movement.
Pros: Strong/Sturdy, Confortable, Reliable, Accurate, Great Battery, Quick Recharge, Great Bluetooth
Cons: Expensive.

I was kind of nervous after reading some mixed reviews about this keyboard but it has worked flawlessly for me so far and this is on a 5 year old compaq laptop with XP. the battery life on the mouse and keyboard seem good (coming from a college student who is either at the computer doing homework, at the computer sitting online, even if for most of the day the mouse hasn't died on me yet. the range is great. and i just plugged everything in once i got it and it worked just fine. the main reason i bought this was because of the media pad/number pad i got sick of trying to work in excel with the single row of numbers on my laptops keyboard. the media pad was kind of awkward at first not being attached to the keyboard but i have frown to like it. not too mention the keyboard and mouse look pretty cool too. I would definitely recommend this keyboard. and being the poor college student i am i just bought it refurbished for about half the price of a new one and it looks new and works like new.

Like several others here, I bought this mouse packaged with a new laptop (HP) and didn't check reviews separately. No cord, no receiver to plug in, just the perfect stylish travel mouse, right? Set up was beautifully quick. (I've had no connection issues.) I'm no gamer; don't particularly care about mouse "performance" specs. Oh, wait. I'd like it to move the pointer when I touch it. I'd support a battery saver feature, but not a narcolepsy problem. It goes to sleep so fast this will happen virtually every time you have to use it. For the lack of a cord (which we never cared much about until a few years ago), you'll pay the price of delay after delay after delay after delay. Not a good trade off. Don't buy this mouse.

I got this mouse on sale at a local store and since it was quite inexpensive I thought I would give it a try despite some of the reviews I'd read here about it going to sleep and being hard to wake. I like the fact that the mouse can be recharged with a simple usb cable (and used with the cable while recharging). So far, my experience is that it is not going to sleep too soon and that a single click or moving the mouse wakes it. I am using it with a MacBook Pro, for what it is worth. I also find the shape of the mouse well contoured for my hand and it is very sensitive. I had to readjust the setting for how fast it tracked to slow it down a bit so I wouldn't overshoot the text or button I was trying to acquire.
Perhaps Targus has updated the firmware on the mouse to overcome some of the initial problems or maybe there is a lot of variability in the product but my experience with it is thus far has been fine. I have used a lot of wireless mice and this one is working very well. My only "problems" with it are that it is a bit bigger than I would prefer for portability (although it is a good size for a desktop mouse) and I wish it came with two more buttons that I could program.

This device works well the majority of the time. It has rechargeable batteries and good sensibility; the bad thing is that often it stops and allows working in some seconds though the battery this one loaded. Look for help but not found support.
The problem does not owe to itself to the configuration of my portable like that, that I assume that it is the product.

Gateway Bluetooth users be warned as well. This very same model mouse is being sold by Gateway (with a black and grey color scheme and a Gateway logo in place of the targus logo) for use with their Bluetooth enabled laptops.
Gateway's model number is 7005803R. Targus lists it as AMB0302USZ. But it's the same exact mouse.
The "mini-sleep" mode design flaw outweighs all the other benefits. especially if you're a gamer. No way you can afford to have to wiggle the mouse to bring it back to life in a heated battle.
And even if you're not a gamer, it's just damn annoying. Targus and Gateway offer nothing to help either. No drivers or utilities.

Blues-free Bluetooth Mouse.......2007-05-15
I have had this mouse for about 2 months now and still use the same battery I put in the first day I received it. I have to say I am quite pleased with it overall.
First of all, this mouse does not come with software CD or download to fuss with. It is straightforward as long as your PC or Mac is bluetooth enabled. Secondly, as I alluded just now, it works like a champ on both PC and Mac. To be exact, I used it with a Fujitsu PC laptop and an Imac. This Sony mouse actually is better than the Apple Mighty mouse I had due to its left and right buttons function differently whereas the Apple mouse can only be used with either the left or right button. What I like most about it is the crisp clicking, the accurate pointing and of course, the sleek style(It looks better than the picture by the way). It also does not need a mini receiver like some of those other mice do. Its signal is stable and has not dropped once so far. Why do I only rate it 4 stars? Well, I am a tough grader and I do wish it had a forward/backward button like one of those Logitech mice does. It would make browsing so much easier. I have now 4 different cordless mice for 4 computers in the household and this Sony Laser Cordless mouse is a keeper.

Terrific Little Speaker with Clear, Strong Sound.......2007-09-07
After reading several dozen consumer reviews describing laptop speakers I puchased this one. You simply plug it into your laptop, or USB hub, swivel the gooseneck to position the speaker where you want, and you've got an excellent speaker that fits in a small laptop utility bag.
The only complaint I have is that there is no quick volume control; once you've plugged it into your USB port, it overrides the laptop's volume control "knob". You have to open the volume icon in your Control Panel every time you want to adjust the speaker volume, which can be too slow when you're being blasted by a loud video.
This is not to say that there is anything wrong with the volume modulation in the speaker itself, just that there seems to be a wide volume range across items I view--YouTube, email messages with videos from friends, etc.
If this speaker had a volume control knob it would be perfect!
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR DELL LAPTOPS.......2007-09-02
After several weeks of light, mid-volume use, the speaker stopped working on my Dell Latitude D500 and I began receiving error messages noting a "device malfunction". After trading emails with J-Lab customer service, I was instructed to return the speaker by mail (at my expense) for a refund. The refund I received was 80% of the original purchase price because, according to J-Lab, the device was still "working" upon receipt. The representative handling the return acknowledged that there has, in fact, been a history of compatibility issues with Dell laptops-- in other words, a "working" speaker may not always operate correctly when connected to a Dell laptop. Is trying this speaker on your Dell worth the risk of paying two sets of shipping charges, losing 20% of the purchase price, and spending time emailing representatives and repacking/mailing the device? If not, maybe it's worth considering alternatives.

We bought this speaker for our Gateway M505 Media Laptop on a recent trip. The M505 has reasonable speakers for a laptop, but their volume level isn't quite strong enough for us to be happy--we'd always find ourselves straining to hear dialogue from movies.
From reading the reviews I honestly thought this would solve our problem in a nifty self-contained USB-powered fashion.
For us it didn't.
We found the speakers to be nearly identical to the M505 speakers, and while the B-Flex did give us the tiniest improvement in volume, it wasn't enough to really give us adequate volume, or the "big sound" many reviewers have mentioned. Also, there is no way a speaker the size of these can give the kind of frequency response any level of audiophile would be happy with.
So, who should try out this speaker? If you have standard tinny sounding laptop speakers (the almost nonexistent kind), these will be a big improvement. Also you will like the fact that it is USB powered so no batteries, no cords are needed.
However, having said that, I really think the bottom line is, to get truly better sound, you need to use a powered speaker. I think some of the JBL's may be the way to go.
For cost of these guys, unless you catch them on sale, my advice is to keep looking. We had to return ours. (Thanks to Amazon a really fair & generous return policy).

My boyfriend bought me this speaker. It is plug-and-play. On my computer, often movies are not loud enough for some reason and with this speaker it's as loud as we could possibly want. Also I can blast my music throughout the house from my laptop - before I could not because it sounded horrible at high volumes.
I'm not much of a sound expert, but I think it sounds pretty good.
