Logitech V270 works great.......2007-12-25
This was my first purchase of a Bluetooth device and I was a bit apprehensive about the installation. You do need to use the installation disc in order for your computer to recognize the mouse. But the installation was easy and the mouse works very well. I love the fact that I no longer have to attach a receiver to my USB port. I highly recommend this product
Avoid with the new Macbooks, poor Logitech service.......2007-12-23
When I purchased the V270 in June 2007, the reviews for this mouse were excellent. Alas, after several months, the downward trend of the reviews has matched my own tepid experience. The Bluetooth connection frequently gets lost between my Macbook (the new Intel version) and the mouse, with the dreaded "Connection Lost" message appearing on the screen. Each time, I will have to re-start the "Setup Bluetooth Device" process, which takes several seconds. Sometimes I can prevent the lost connection by pressing the mouse's reset button at laptop startup, but if I forget, the connection breaks at least 50% of the time. My query with Logitech customer service yielded a prompt but useless reply (probably a boilerplate response) and my subsequent pleas for help went unanswered. On the plus side, the mouse buttons and scrollwheel are well-designed. Overall, however, the bad connection issues makes this a poor, unreliable mouse for Macbooks. Avoid at all costs.
Better Than Apple.......2007-12-17
I love Apple products but I absolutely despise their one button mouse. I like to right click to take advantage of the many features it enables. So when I bought my new Macbook, I ordered this Logitech V270. To me the advantages are: Past experience with Logitech product reliability, bluetooth to get rid of the hated (by me anyway) plug-in cord, and the right click button. Since I use the far superior Apple operating system, I didn't need to install the enclosed driver CD. I put the batteries in and it it worked beautifully right out of the box. I love it.
Not comfortable to use.......2007-12-13
This is the second time I bought this exact same mouse. I lost the first one that I bought early this year so I bought the same one again. However, unlike the first mouse, which I loved, I returned this mouse to Amazon because it hurts my hand when ever I use it. The left-mouse button which I use all time time is very hard to press that it hurts my palm and my entire hand within minutes of use. I did not have this problem on the first mouse so I don't know if I should buy a third mouse of the same kind. I really need a replacement blue tooth mouse, though, so maybe I will ...
Slow clicking mouse.......2007-12-07
I have owned this mouse for 2 months and I'm still not happy with it. The left and right click is very stiff and can't be adjusted. I bought this to replace my Apple mighty mouse but it isn't any "mightier" that the Apple. I gave it 3 stars because it functions fairly well, but if you playing a game that requires rapid point and click, you're not going to do well.

Very poor, at least for Mac.......2007-03-22
I've owned Logitech mice and keyboards for years, always liked them. This one is almost unusable, because it keeps losing its Bluetooth connection (Intel iMac, OS 10.4.9) -- at crucial moments, it always seems. It happens about four to twelve times in half an hour (the longest I can stand to try it).
Also, the available customization is very limited. OSX allows you to switch primary buttons and program the buttons for various OSX gadgets. But there's no Logitech Control Center (as they offer for other mice) to let you make one of the main buttons a double-click, the scroll-wheel button a control-click, and so on.
A software fix *might* help (some software might help!). No word from Logitech.

Feels great, but falls asleep quickly (Mac OSX).......2007-12-30
I'm using (or WAS using) the mouse on Mac OSX 10.4, and while the tracking feels fine, and the weight is fine once you get used to it, the mouse has an odd quirk. As a bluetooth mouse, it falls asleep when not used to conserve battery life. That's all well and good if you're away from your computer for hours at a time. When the mouse falls asleep within a minute or less of not being touched though, you have a problem. I'll be doing Photoshop work or browsing the internet or what have you, and I'll go to the mouse, only to have it 'wake up' for a second until it responds. It is very aggravating. There is no support from Logitech on OSX so you can't really get into any of the configuration settings. Even under Windows XP in Bootcamp, I was unable to find a way to turn off this 'sleep mode.' I'm sure you can find better for the price whether you're working on a Mac or PC.
Unreliable, poorly engineered.......2007-04-11
Works great when it works, but periodically it looses connection with the laptop transciever. I have to go in and do a software disconnect and then reconnect from the laptop to resume communication with the mouse. Using the reset button on the mouse or turning it on and off does nothing. And sometimes I can not reestablish a connection at all even with complete power down of mouse, laptop and a re-power up and reboot.
This happens at a frequency of almost daily. I have a friend that said he has the identical Logitech mouse and it does the same thing. I do't understand why Logitech would release such a flawed device into the market.
This probably deserves 1 star, but as I said it works great when it works.
