Fine Entry Level Logitech Mouse.......2007-11-28
Ergonomically, I miss my Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0 (just like the Wireless Optical Mouse 5000). It really felt a lot better in my hand.
While the back and forward buttons are a lot easier to reach and use here on the Logitech LX 7, they also bother me comfort-wise by always being under my fingers when I hold the mouse. I love that the wireless receiver can work as a small USB stick or a movable desktop antenna, as well as the power button...but those two things seem to be the only advantages to this mouse for me.
Great mouse.... if it starts to work again.......2007-11-14
After 3 months of use, this mouse completely stopped working. None of the buttons worked, mouse would hardly move on screen. I thought it was the batteries, so I swapped in brand new ones and again still did not work. Maybe that's why it was only $9.99 on sale, will be going in for warranty service.
A vast improvement over previous models.......2007-10-05
I have used other Logitech and Microsoft wireless mice for years. In general, I have found Microsoft wireless mice to have better tracking on a variety of surfaces, but Logitech seems to have a better wireless range. In the case of this mouse, it does track pretty well on just about anything. The receiver is very tiny and doesn't take up any desk space, which is ideal. Microsoft's, by contrast, is as big as a cup coaster. The reception on this Logitech mouse is excellent and works up to six feet away (I haven't tried it any further than that). The precision is good, though I don't feel it's as good as a medium-quality wired mouse. You can customize the buttons to do a variety of things - even a set of keystrokes. I was hoping there would be a simple option for making the 'back' and 'forward' buttons on the mouse work the playlist in Windows Media Player, but no such luck. The mouse has a nice weight to it, but I feel it is a little too small for even my medium-sized hands. However, it's slenderness means it doesn't require much desk space and that's always a bonus. All in all, it's a good mouse for a good price, and it looks sexy too. :)

I just bought this mouse from a seller who claims Brand New...Within Sealed Original Retail Package...UPC Removed...Fast Shipping with Delivery Confirmation. When I got my package, the box has already been opened and got taped it back and no CD. I think it is a refurbished and not working right. I learned a lesson and want other buyers beware of these salespeople.

We have 2 of these, one on a desktop pc and the other used with a laptop. Mouse is responsive, works well even without a mousepad. Gave this 4 stars because I have not used any other brand wireless mouses (mice???) but highly recommend--no problems whatsoever.

Lies, Lies and More Lies.......2007-11-02
I'm a Mac user and purchased this mouse because I wanted a cordless double-click mouse with options such as page forward and back and of course, a scroll wheel. The packaging said the mouse was Mac-compatible. However, once I got it home and started using it, none of the options I was looking for worked. Following their tech support on their site, I downloaded the Logitech Center software that was supposed to be for Mac OSX. Sure, right. The software wouldn't open on my Mac. Then I started to do some research on their site and found out that Logitech cordless mice aren't recognized by Mac's bluetooth, so "some" features "probably" will not work on a Mac, such as page forward and back and scroll. Terrific, huh? Don't bother trying to phone Logitech, as they don't have a toll-free number and after being put on hold at my expense for 10 minutes, I gave up. I emailed them and got 1 reply to fill out a form (not attached) to receive my RMA for a replacement. Hello?? I don't want a replacement. I want a refund. What good would a replacement do? Long story to short. They never sent me a replacement, nor a refund and I am out $35 for the mouse. THIS MOUSE IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MACS, no matter what their packaging states. BUYER BEWARE.
