My wife gave me her mouse when she gave up on getting it to work again. I figured if there was a fix or a problem, someone would mention it here. The reset process mentioned in the previous post got me a free working mouse.

The BEST mouse I ever had. Tried some mouses of Microsoft, Logiteach, Fatality, and others, and none was as good as this Labtec mouse. The only issue is that you need to recharge battery every week if you use the mouse all the time. At the same time, if you don't move the mouse (even if it is working and shining) then the mouse save the power.

This mouse has been problematic from the start. At first it worked great, then it did not work at all. I was about to call the company to find out what was happening, but I decided to try the product again and this time it worked. If it does not work again, I will certainly call the company.

Cheap mouse.......2007-07-09
First we'll start with the good. This has to be the lightest mouse I have ever used. It's almost effortless to scoot it around my desktop. For the most part, the tracking is pretty accurate and assuming you're not gaming, it will do its job unremarkably.
The bad comes in when you have to use this mouse for extended periods of time. It's uncomfortable on the wrist and eventually (after using it long enough) my whole arm will start to hurt a bit. It's no stabbing pain or anything, but it is not a comfortable experience. I think part of the problem is that it is designed so that right- and left-handed people can use this mouse easily, although neither righties or lefties will find it very ergonomic.
As I mentioned before, the tracking is pretty accurate for the most part. The weird thing is, the optical sensor is either old tech, or it's just cheap, because every once in a while it will move the cursor across the screen without me touching it. Also, sometimes when I'm using the mouse it will freak out and send the cursor off to some distant corner, where it will remain until it decides to settle down and quit fighting. Weird.
Pros - Light weight, usually accurate enough for most tasks, cheap
Cons - Ambidexterous design means no ergonomics, occasional seizures make you fight for control of the cursor, cheap
Overall - It's a cheap mouse, and you get what you pay for.

The keboard is very good it works very wel2 you can take about 2miles and it will still work.The mouse isn't that good it all ways goofs around it takes a lot of battery for the mouse.I had the mouuse for like a week and it ran out of battery and it was goofing around.If you buy this blow air in the mouse so it might work a little better.I did that and it worked for while.

This mouse isnt what I expected. I first thought it was an optical mouse. This is like a regular mouse. It has a ball and it has to be cleaned constantly. I bought this mouse about a year ago and its starting to give problems. If you want a mouse with a year durability, this might be your choice. Try searching for other mice out there.

From the description, I thought this was an optical mouse. Under the mouse's "Features", it states "Durable optical technology provides smooth precision and resists dirt, eliminating the need for cleaning" However, this mouse has a track-ball inside that needs to be removed and cleaned just like any other mouse. There is a little red light inside the mouse that make the mouse look like an optical mouse, but it's a track-ball mouse like any other one.
I gave this mouse 1 star because, for the money, there are better track-ball mice on the market.

For some reason I expected this thing to be heavy, but it wasn't, and it works like a charm for my laptop. It works pretty well on any surface. I use it all the time, because I hate to use laptop mouse pads. All I can say is that it works really well and it's cheap.

For the price I paid, I didn't expect much. I was very surprised to find the product was much better than I thought it would be. The mouse tracks well on pretty much every surface I've used it on though I do occassionally have to blow dust out of the open optic well to keep it from sporatically jumping around the screen. This drawback is inherent to pretty much any other optic mouse that I've used with an open space under the tracking window, however, so it's to be expected.
The shape is slightly odd (the sides of the mouse angle outward and lie flush with the mousepad) though honestly, it's not a big enough problem that I'd drop the rating. Once you get used to the feel, you really don't notice it. For the price, this product has exceeded my expectations quite a bit.

I usually not one to nit-pick or complain but like others have said, its shape makes it a bit uncomfortable.
I am not a fan of microsoft, but there mouses and keyboards are pretty good.
Other than that the mouse works really well. Accurate and simple. nothing more nothing less. I guess if you are ordering many of these for workstations its fine, but for personal use its irritating. Maybe its my mousepad...
Behaves funny !.......2006-05-18
I bought this mouse about 18 months ago. It worked fine for all this while. Now its behaving funny!
It is double clicking everything. For e.g. if I click on a mail in my outlook espress - I want it show it in the preview pane but now it opens a fresh window of that mail. Many such instances.
So I guess it doesn't last tooo long. But great mouse for as long as it lasts.

I bought this to give away when I sold my old Gateway PC so I would not have to part with my Optical Mouse. Its a great {inexpensive} alternative and the person who bought my 5 year old Gateway doesn't know any better anyway. I used it a bit and liked its solid feel and steady action.

I wanted an inexpensive mouse for my laptop and this was it! At less than [money], you absolutely can't beat this price. The mouse works perfectly fine. However, I would prefer the internet scrolling to be an actual scroll rather than a third button to click. Otherwise -- great deal.
Good mouse, NOT optical.......2002-11-19
This is a good, sub mouse. Roller technology is old enough that these types of products don't distinguish themselves from each other anymore but it's a somewhat solid-feeling product with good tracking. It *is* made of plastic (as they all are) and it's hollow inside, so it's light and and feels plastic-y. There is no software included, but that's not really a problem.
The description for the product is somewhat deceptive because it is NOT an optical mouse so if that's what you're looking for at this price, look elsewhere. Otherwise, it's a good buy.
