My wife gave me her mouse when she gave up on getting it to work again. I figured if there was a fix or a problem, someone would mention it here. The reset process mentioned in the previous post got me a free working mouse.

The BEST mouse I ever had. Tried some mouses of Microsoft, Logiteach, Fatality, and others, and none was as good as this Labtec mouse. The only issue is that you need to recharge battery every week if you use the mouse all the time. At the same time, if you don't move the mouse (even if it is working and shining) then the mouse save the power.

This mouse has been problematic from the start. At first it worked great, then it did not work at all. I was about to call the company to find out what was happening, but I decided to try the product again and this time it worked. If it does not work again, I will certainly call the company.

Have owned this mouse for just over a year now, other than I have to change the batteries every two months (as a university student I use my mouse every day for at least 4 hours) it is perfection.

I bought one of these quite a while ago, and after a few years it suffered a horrible death at the hands (paws) of our puppy. Was able to find another identical unit at a local store.
This mouse has many features:
(1) optical
(2) wireless--no cables to get in the way
(3) rechargeable AND comes with a recharging cradle--no clumsy recharger wires to plug in
(4) 5 buttons: left, right, left side, right side, wheel down. I use the left side and right side to go back and forward in Firefox
Very nice mouse overall, with accurate cursor movement. Symmetrical for you lefties out there. Only negative: after years of use, some of the silver color rubs away. Big deal.
I don't know why this mouse is much more prominent in PC stores--it really works well and is well-designed overall.

The good thing about this was it allowed me to program a specific comand to the thumb button that I could not with other mice, the bad thing is the flare out at the bottom is very uncomfortable, it pushes in at the base of your thumb. I had other people in the office try it, nobody found it comfortable.

Connection Issues.......2006-07-31
I bought this mouse to use with a MacBook. It looks good and I haven't had any lag or skipping problems. It does eat batteries quite fast, but I just use rechargeables. They last much longer and mine only take an hour to charge. The main problem I have is reconnecting. Almost every time my computer goes to sleep it loses the connection with the mouse. The reconnect only takes a few clicks and maybe 15 seconds, but it is annoying to have to do this several times a day. Now that the wireless Mighty Mouse is out I'll probably buy one of those.

The mouse looks nice and has a good feel to it. It's great having the right click and scroll wheel in a wireless mouse for the mac. For some reason the mouse didn't like my desk surface (painted metal) and jumps around frequently unless I use a mouse pad or piece of paper. The one major complaint I have about this product, though, is power consumption. This mouse will eat through 2xAA batteries in no-time - in about a week of heavy use.
Overall, decent product with a serious appetite for batteries.
