Good Product.......2007-12-24
This phone has worked well over the last month since I purchased it. The memory dialer is easy to use and program. The speakerphone is clear and easy to understand. I was looking for a phone to replace an older AT&T brand phone with similar features, and this was the closest I could find. It is getting harder and harder to find nice corded phones with so many folks switching to cell phones only.
The only negatives are that the phone requires batteries for the functions and it would be nice if caller ID was included.
Solid Product.......2007-12-23
This is a very solid phone. The speaker phone is superior to any I've seen in a home phone. Also, easy to plug in headset.
Works fine.......2007-12-08
No bones about it. It's a phone and it works as intented. It's also sleek. I use it as my business line and the speakphone is great.
Did not work.......2007-12-08
The phone did not work, made strange clicking noises. Big hassle to get it sent back...better to buy from a store.
best basic phone.......2007-11-27
this phone works beautifully, especially with a Panasonic headset; I sound loud & clear; the buttons work smoothly, it's really easy to use, & it has more functions than I'll ever need; I've never even tried its speakerphone option; you don't need batteries to use the headset option

Good phone, flawed description.......2007-12-23
I purchased this phone and an extra handset about a month ago and am very pleased with it. My only complaint is that it is described as being able to be wall mounted, but I can't see any way to do it. I kept it and put it on my desk instead of on the wall in the kitchen where I wanted it, and mostly use the two handsets.
Good phone.......2007-12-17
Good sound and lots of features. Would have really liked illuminated keys like on the cordless phone. Range on the cordless handset was a little more limited than I expected.
Good Phone!.......2007-12-12
I was looking for a good quality speakerphone and found one! This phone has clear quality on speaker. It has a great number of features. Having the remote handset is an extra plus. The speakerphone on it is not as good as the base, but still acceptable. The only thing I would want on the base is that the display would remain lighted, since it is plugged to an AC source. Also, you can choose different ringtones for different callers on the handset, but you can't on the base. What's up with that? But overall, I am satisfied with the phone.
Terrific Phone System.......2007-12-08
The Uniden TRU9488 is exactly what I've been looking for in a phone system. It gives the user the freedom of a cordless phone and the security of a corded phone. Living in an area where power outages are no rarity, that's a real plus. The sound quality on both the corded base unit and the cordless handset is crisp and clear, and the user-friendly menu walks the user step-by-step through the numerous customizable features. There's no interference with my wireless network or my two Panasonic KX-TG5622 cordless phones. One minor detractor is the lack of a lighted keypad on the base unit. On the upside, the cordless handset does come with a lighted keypad. This is definitely a five star product in my book.
I am disappointed with telephone.......2007-11-26
I cannot make it ring louder.
I cannot get the second hand set to register

THIS FULL FEATURE 2 LINE PHONE IS THE BEST SOLUTION FOR MY SMALL BUSINESS APPLICATION. EASY TO SETUP AND USE, GREAT QUALITY AND
PERFORMS PERFECTLY
Great phone but cannot adjust mic volume on headset.......2007-10-19
I got this phone for its two line caller id and speakerphone capability with the added capability to use a headset for teleconferences. The caller id and speakerphone work great.
The basic problem I had was that the Panasonic headset I ordered at the same time had no mic volume adjustment and many of the people I called reported that my voice was soft. There appears to be no solution for the mic volume problem other than buying an amplifier that costs about the same as the phone!
excellent phones.......2007-10-17
I had purchased AT&T phones because that is what I had for last 5 years, but the new phones were made in China and were a nightmare. So I researched these and found good reviews. Bought them and absolutely love them!! Would recommend them even for home use.
Weeks of research and it didn't work at all........2007-10-06
I had to replace my old AT&T 962 and wanted to use a headset with the new phone. After researching for weeks I ordered the Panasonic KX-TS3282B.
As soon as I unboxed the parts I noticed the handset was very bulky and felt like I was holding a shoe against my face. After connecting the phone to power I was disappointed to see there was no image on the display and none of the lights such as speakerphone, line1, or line2 would light. It would ring but was obnoxious. I suspect a bad power supply, so I returned the unit.
Good, solid performer.......2007-09-23
I am happy with this phone - it has more features than I need and the voice quality is adequate.

Nice phone...for three days........2007-12-04
It's a nice phone with lots of features and I wanted a phone I can use if the power goes out. However, the mic in the handset quit working after three days. I RMA'd back to Amazon over two weeks ago and I'm still waiting for my credit.
Nice Phone with exception.......2007-08-24
I love panasonic phones. This I got cause I needed one with caller ID and I do not like phones you need to us an AC adapter. Works really well. Except its hard to see the caller ID like is most phones hence the 4 stars. Only draw back is no speaker phone like my other panasonic but I knew it whan I got it. I ended up putting it in my living room even though I got it for my bedroom, butI started to miss my speaker phone I switched back. I figured if the phone rang at nite I couldn't see the caller ID anyway. So I can still see the number that called if I want to go look in the living room. It's still a good phone. WISH THEY WOULD HAVE A BACK LIT. Pansonic is always reliable with phones. ...there is a learning curve for the functions, but once you have it down nice phone. If it have a back light I would of given it a 5.
Returned because of appearance.......2007-08-19
This review is based on the looks of the phone - not on its function. Most importantly, this phone is not "white" - it is dingy off-white, almost putty-colored, which will not blend in with other white items. Secondly when the phone is wall mounted it doesn't cover the standard wall plate and protrudes awkwardly from the wall and plate (I think another reviewer mentioned this too); the line cord is also visable and doesn't tuck behind the phone like other wall-mounted phones do. If you are looking for a corded Caller ID that doesn't need A/C power, only consider this phone if you don't care about the color and about the wall-mount system. I'm sure that the sound quality is up to Pansonic standards but it is a very unattractive phone.
Will purchase another one soon.......2007-07-28
This is a good reasonably priced phone. I have a hearing impediment and wondered if the volume setting would be enough for me to clearly understand conversations. I was happy to find that I can use this phone without any problems. Only thing I would have liked was a backlit display window. Setting the LCD contrast to the highest position still isn't enough to make out the display without having it under a light.
Good solid phone.......2007-07-26
I have always found Panasonic phones to be keepers. This one is no exception. Good solid audio, controls that make sense, durable, attractive. I bought a number of them on the Amazon "Warehouse Deals" program. They arrived promptly and had no flaws that I could find.

Good Choice.......2007-12-31
Make sure you add batteries (2AA size). Description said this was ivory but white was shipped. Otherise the emergency buttons are too small, the individual buying this is obviously visually impaired so you'd think the emergency buttons would also be big too. Everything else works very well.
big button telephone.......2007-12-09
The phone arrived within a week and it works just fine. Some feedback on other comments written would be while the phone does take 2 batteries, the phone works without them. It's just to save any stored phone numbers in case something happens that causes your phone line to have no power. If you don't store any numbers, then you don't need batteris. I also thought using the speaker phone option that even with the volume all the way up, it still didn't seem loud enough. If you purchase the phone that you think is in Ivory, it will be white when it arrives. I think that's the only color they have. Unlike other big button phones I've seen in the store, this Northwestern Bell felt like a "real" telephone. The other brands (including big name companys) seem very light weight and have a cheap feel to them. Also the Bell handset fits in the cradle firmly, other phones I've seem the ear piece sat in the cradle well but the mouth piece end just laid on top of the phone and you could easily knock the handset off the cradle without knowing it and loose connection.
Poor discription!!!.......2007-08-29
Didn't know that this phone needs 2xAA batteries. I bought this for my Aunt, she can't hold the phone with her hand, therefore she can only use the speaker phone. But unfortunately, the volume is very low (I've turn to the loudest). So....this phone is useless to her. Beside, it is hard for her to change the batter as well. I have to return this product and purchase and other phone.
The big button is good, but she didn't like the look. Well. I'll only give this phone a 2 stars...if the speaker phone is loud enough I'll give a 3 stars.
Fool me twice shame on me.......2007-08-23
Ordered an Ivory Phone was shipped a white phone, resealed and drove to UPS and paid to return phone. Received second white phone, have it now boxed and ready to drive again to UPS and pay for shipping. Will look else ware for Ivory Phone.
Plantronics quality is excellent, as always.......2007-07-29
I bought this to work at home. There are employers who require a corded telephone, the headset must contain a noise cancelling microphone and mute. This has all the required features. Once set up and adjusted (if the volume is up too high there will be ear-splitting feedback), it is easy to hear a caller and type at the same time. I have worked with Plantronics before, and as always they produce excellent products.

Panasonic phone review.......2007-12-22
Although panasonic makes the best phones, there are 3 problems with this particular model. Firstly, there is no battery backup, so if the electricity goes off, all the memory is lost. Second, it is almost impossible to read the lcd readout for caller id, as it is black on black. And third, there is no option for raising and lowering the voice volume, which is way too loud.
Good but not quite what I hoped for.......2007-12-08
I bought this telephone/answering machine combo to replace a very basic slim-line phone, by a no-name brand, that I had paired up with a Panasonic answering machine. I like the Panasonic brand and they just happened to have what I was looking for...almost. The phone does what it's advertised as doing and it does so well. But I expected that you could turn the sound of the answering machine off as you can on the stand-alone answering machine. While you are able to turn the volume all the way down while the machine is in use, it goes back to the default volume when a call comes in and the machine picks up. Why is this a problem? I sleep very close to the phone and used to turn the phone ringer and answering machine volume off at night so as to avoid getting woken up by either.
Another thing is that I wish the handset was a bit bulkier to be more ergonomic. Even with my small hands it's not comfortable in the hand. Of course, I'm used to a phone that has the keypad in the handset. But I've used phones similar to this one that are more substantial.
Overall I'm pleased with the phone. Had I known about the volume issue I wouldn't have gotten this model though. Instead I would've picked the model below it that doesn't have an answering machine.
panasonic desk phone.......2007-12-01
I wanted a corded phone for my den, and wish that there was more of a market for these (better selection). I am really looking for an old fashioned corded phone that never breaks, i don't know if they make them anywhere. But this one does fine, it wasn't too expensive and it's never lost. It's good to always know where at least one phone is, and not worry about harmful electronic fields associated with cell and mobile phones. It's not exactly what i was looking for, although it works great.
Disappointing sound quality.......2007-11-30
When the tape recorder on our old reliable Panasonic phone died, I replaced it with this new all-digital model because of Panasonic's reputation and since few manufacturers make basic corded phones any longer. Unfortunately, the sound quality is poor and when someone is on another phone at the same time, its volume drops off considerably and cannot be increased. Another annoyance is that it has no back-up battery so that the clock must be reset if there's a power interruption - unless you also have CallerID. The answering machine is simple to use.
Good buy.......2007-11-11
I wanted a combination speakerphone and answering machine to save space on my desk. This phone performs all its functions well. It has nice large easy to read buttons and good volume on the speaker phone. I'm happy with it and think it's a good value for the money.

Excellent phone with head set socket.......2007-12-29
After looking at several speaker phones with the facility to plug in head sets, in shops and online, I can say that this is the best one available for this cost.
Great phone, fantastic price.......2007-12-21
I needed a phone for the home office that was a speaker phone. I did not need a cordless unit. This does NOT need a power cord to use the speakerphone, only to use the memory dial. So I use it only with out the power cord and it works fine. The only issues ( and the only reason it is a 4 and not a 5) is that the speaker phone will not activate by the "button" on it's own with out power. You have to lift the handset and then push "speaker", then replace the handset, then it works normally. I would buy this again in an instant especially at the very reasonable price.
Panasonic the way to go.......2007-12-10
If you are looking for a old fashion phone/with afew up to date features.
This is the phone. It has bigger buttons, speakerphone is great, for no hands talking. It has memory speed dial. The selling point for me was it has a ringer that can be turned off. Have a 3rd shift sleeper in the house, and we can turn it off. (It's in the bedroom)
The 2nd selling point, was it's corded. So if the power goes out, the phone will still work, unlike a portable.Service was very fast. Over all
good phone for the money, I have another Panasonic in the cellar, and it's over 15yrs old, and is simular to this one.
Best speakerphone for the price........2007-11-06
I have been on the market for a decent phone for a while, and this one is simply the best bargain in ages.
Its styling looks outdated, but beside that, it's just what you'd want. Sound quality is ok, speaker is loud, volume easily adjusted, mute button accessible, just simple and functional.
I am a remote employee, and do a lot of conference calls, and this phone is just what I needed. The speakerphone function just works, which is quite remarkable, from my past experiences.
It requires batteries, however if you don't install them, the only thing you lose is the phonebook function (which I don't use). The speaker phone still works.
There is a headset plug, which I haven't tried yet, but it can only work better than any Plantronics junk (what a pure waste of money).
This is the type of product you just hope will stay around, and not be canned because it doesn't look good anymore... it just works!
Panasonic KX-TS105W.......2007-10-23
We recently purchased a Panasonic KX-TS105W to replace an aging but similar Durabrand (Wal-Mart) corded one line desk top speakerphone which had developed poor audio (line noise). We were specifically looking for a low cost no frills (no caller ID, no answer machine, no silly display, etc.) corded one line desktop speakerphone. The Panasonic KX-TS105W can be set on the desktop or wall mounted and comes with a special bracket for wall mounting. We have only owned the Panasonic KX-TS105W for about three weeks now but we are generally pleased with it. Its best features are the large buttons for dialing, redial feature, and of course the speaker phone. It also has features we probably will seldom use but can be handy including mute, hold, speakerphone volume control, handset/headset volume control, and 10 one-touch memory dial buttons.
Another key reason we purchased this model - and we researched a few low cost desktop speakerphones in this price range - was that the ringer volume can be set to high, low, or OFF! We prefer the off position as we have a wall phone in another room that is easily heard throughout our house and this phone is near my young sons room and we did not want it to ring. However, even if we could not hear the other phones ringer the Panasonic KX-TS105W has a red light that flashes when the phone is ringing - even with the ringer set to off so you can 'see' that a call is coming in - a nice feature. I dont recall another no frills one line desk top speaker phone that had a 'ringer off' feature.
Panasonic is usually a good brand name with decent quality/reliability but only time will tell how long it will last. We paid $33.53 with free shipping thru Amazon.com which we thought was a good price for what it is.

Great for power outages.......2007-11-03
It's actually a nice phone. Didn't want features, just something to use during power outages and ended up using it as an everyday phone.
Exceeds expectations!!.......2007-09-07
Rarely in life is one's expectations of a simple black telephone exceeded. Imagine my surprise when I found that this phone not only works, but you can talk and hear the other person talking! And as if that were not enough, they even announce that it is time to use it by having it ring when someone calls you. The fact that it is inexpensive, and will operate when there is a power outage, makes this almost better than having healthy children! I'm pretty satisfied, but I must now go, because I want to use that fabulous phone again!
Panasonic Corded Telephone.......2007-03-12
Basic phone with minimal features. Handset is a little light and is not so easy to hang up when wall mounted. Could be a little smaller. Bought as a replacement for the basic Sony corded phone which has a better feel but is no longer available.
