I currently own about 10 of these keyboards. I leave them at customer locations so I don't have to type on the built in laptop keyboard when I am on site. This current model is not as robust as the older ones as others have noticed. It is lightweight and travels fairly well. The letters do run off on me within about 6 months of heavy use.
I like the touch on this model better than the black ergonomic from Microsoft (Natural 4000 series). The black ones have a slightly harder press to me, and the gap is a little larger in the middle for the scroll. I personally prefer this model over the black ones.

I love this keyboard and have been only using this keyboard since at least 2001. It is sturdy and doesn't have extra features, it isn't wireless, and it is a bit of a quirky key layout that bothers some people (the arrow keys are smaller than on many keyboards) - but I love it.
The reason for my low rating on this product is not on the keyboard, but on this actual sales page.
It says that this is a 5 pack of keyboards, and when I ordered it, a single keyboard came. I sent it back to Amazon, they apologized and said they would send the proper 5 pack. They then sent me another single keyboard. I sent it back, they refunded my money, and I bought the 5 pack elsewhere.
Hopefully that is all resolved now, but after talking to other people who have had similar issues with Amazon when buying multi-packs and only getting a single unit - be wary.
I love Amazon and buy a ton of stuff from them, and will continue to do so, but I will not be buying multi-packs from them.
You Will Never Go Back.......2007-03-19
These keyboards take a little time, not much though, to get the feel, but once you're comfortable with it, you'll never go back to the old style. Your typing speed goes up dramatically even if you're not a real great typist. After you have used this keyboard for a little while, try typing on a regular one and you'll see just how much better this one really is. Also, these keyboards are more compact and less cumbersome than others that I had looked at.

I love this keyboard! Once you get used to it you can't go back to the straight keyboard again. These are OEM versions and my boss noticed that they are several inches smaller than the retail version. I don't mind because I have hands and not paws. Very comfortable for the wrists.

In fact, for those of us who learned to type by touch using our right hand for the "6" key, this is VERY frustrating. Microsoft has ignored this complaint from users for a long time.

I've had this keyboard for about a year and use it for at least 8 hours a day while at work. I'm going to buy another one for home use too. I was having trouble with carpal tunnel, which was my primary reason for buying the keyboard. After about 6 weeks of using this keyboard I had fewer problems with my wrists. I haven't escaped it completely, but as a programmer that is something that will probably hang around for life.
Getting to know the repositioning of the keys was less agrivating than I thought it would be and I can still use both a straight keyboard and the ergonomic ones with very little difficulty when switching from on PC to the other.
Hooking it up was literally just unplugging the old keyboard and plugging this one in. After a year I've had no trouble with it.
If you type a lot, I would pick one of these up.
Great for people with large hands.......2002-11-16
This is the worlds greatest keyboard. Before I got it I had trouble using a keyboard due to the acute angle it forced my wrists into. With the Natural Keyboard I can type much faster and with no discomfort. There is of course a learning curve with it as with any new piece of equipment, but that is overcome with practice. Also the 6 key is not placed on the wrong side as one other reviewer claims, it is placed exactly where I expect it to be. I think any large handed person will quickly become very fond of this keyboard's layout.
Real gamers don't use arrow keys........2002-02-09
Here's a tip for all the gamers who are missing the full size arrow keys: leave your fingers on the home keys the way God intended and configure those keys within the game for movement. It's a much more natural possition, and it allows your hand access to the optimal number of keys for other functions in the game.
Arrow keys are almost obsolete with a scrolling mouse, and I don't miss the big space hogs at all. This is a good product overall, but I dock it one star for a mushy space bar.

While I do not personally own one of these myself, I have used it in a lab at my school. When available, I almost always choose the machine with the Natural(tm) keyboard, as it truly does make it easier to type, and less stressful not only on hand and wrist but on the shoulders, too.
However, as some have noted, the movement keys (arrows, home, end, pg up/dn, ins, del) are rather small compared to the average straight keyboard, and they're all reorganised, too. Apparently this has been fixed in more recent editions of the board, but on this one, the Insert, &c. block have been ordered into three rows of two, rather than two of three, and this can make finding the delete key by touch, for example, a little difficult. Not only have the arrows been moved into a cruciform arrangement, but they're also about half the size of the rest of the keys, which again makes them hard to find.
However, the keyboard as a whole is a responsive, pain-reducing, joy to use. Now if only their software were so good. . .

I'M NOT SURE WHAT THE INTELLITYPE SOFTWARE IS; BUT, THIS IS THE SAME KEYBOARD I HAVE BEEN USING SINCE 2000. I LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT. IT TOOK A FEW DAYS TO GET USED TO WHERE TO PUT MY FINGERS, BUT THE WRIST REST HELPS TREMENDOUSLY. I USED THE NORMAL KEYBOARDS FOR MORE YEARS THAN I CAN REMEMBER AND WASN'T TOO SURE I WOULD LIKE IT. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT FOR ANYONE WHO HAS ARTHRITIS OR CARPAL TUNNELS, IT MADE ME ABLE TO TYPE WHEN I NEVER THOUGHT I COULD AGAIN. THE PAIN IN MY FINGERS AND WRISTS HAS SUBSIDED SO MUCH I DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT ANYMORE, IT IS A GREAT EXERCISE FOR THEM. THE SPACEBAR BEING CURVED AND WIDE MAKES IT EASY TO REACH WITH EITHER HAND WITHOUT LIFTING YOUR WRIST FOR ANY OF THE KEYS. THE ONLY TIME I HAD A PROBLEM WITH ONE OF THEM (I BOUGHT ABOUT 6 OF THEM) IS WHEN I SPILLED WATER INTO THE WHOLE TYPING AREA, LOL. THAT WAS THE ONLY THING THAT I EVER DID TO IT THAT CAUSED IT TO MALFUNCTION. I HAD TO REPLACE IT AND DECIDED TO BUY A COUPLE OF EXTRA ONES IN CASE THAT HAPPENED AGAIN; THEY DON'T LIKE YOU TO GIVE THEM A BATH OR SHOWER. WITH THE PRICES SO REASONABLE, I FOUND IT WORTH GETTING MORE THAN ONE AS SPARES FOR SUCH INCIDENTS. INSTALLATION WAS SIMPLE, TOO. THE KEYS HAVE A NICE TOUCH WITH A SLIGHTLY RAISED BAR ON THE F AND J KEYS SO YOU CAN FIND YOUR FINGER POSITION WITHOUT LOOKING WHICH HELPS A LOT. IT IS DIFFERENT; BUT, ONCE YOU GET USED TO IT, YOU'LL NEVER GO BACK TO A REGULAR KEYBOARD AGAIN. I THINK 7 YEARS OF USE SAYS SOMETHING FOR IT. TRY IT, YOU'LL LOVE IT.
