Good basic mouse.......2007-12-13
I've enjoyed using Macally mouses before, and wasn't disappointed with this one, either. The scrolling mechanism on my new Apple mouse fizzled out after only 9 months, and I didn't want to spend a lot for a new one. The iceMouse was the right price, and works just as well as the Apple mouse. The only thing I would add is horizontal scrolling, but otherwise, it works very well online. It looks good next to my white Apple keyboard, too, if that's important to anyone.
apple mighty mouse is better.......2007-11-18
the highest rated reviewer makes a good point. the apple mighty mouse, however, does have a right click. it matches all mac products much better esthetically as well. it is quite intuitive once you get used to it and very fun to use. this is a nice mouse, i liked using it, until i started using my friend's mighty mouse.
Complete letdown.......2007-11-03
I've been a Macally fan for years. I won't touch an Apple keyboard, if I can help it, and their mice have always been poorly designed rubbish (anyone remember the iMac puck mouse?), whereas their Macally counterparts were top notch. Well, my Macally iSweetNet mouse started acting up, so naturally I turned to Macally for a replacement. I got this particular model because I figured with the solid white body, the red glare from the optical sensor would be minimized. My mistake. There is a ridiculous amount of extraneous light set off from this mouse, making it no better than a clear body version in that respect. While that was surprising, it wasn't a deal breaker. What got to me was that it just simply stopped working properly after only four months. All of the sudden, it just started to lose its connection to my computer intermittently. I got so upset with it, I just ripped it from my machine and threw it against the wall. This all happened, of course, after half my applications wouldn't perform using the Macally mouse drivers--anything related to Java for some reason slowed the mouse down to a 1 to 1 mapping, making it barely functional in those programs. I finally chucked the drivers and went with Alessandro Levi Montalcini's excellent USB Overdrive shareware driver, which made the mouse work properly. At least, until it decided that communication with my machine was optional. I can't say how disappointed I am with this product. Macally never let me down before, but I won't be buying another mouse from them any time soon. I just picked up a Logitech optical, and with any luck, it will last longer than this Macally piece of junk. I don't like the form factor as much, but if it performs, I'll learn to love it. Anyone thinking about this Macally mouse, I'd advise you to move on. They've lost a step, somewhere along the line.
Not for everybody.......2007-10-11
I ordered this mouse along with the iceKey keyboard. One of my favorite things about the mouse is the fact that the entire botom is see-through plastic so the red light shines through the entire mouse. The buttons have good tactile response and the scroll wheel action is smooth, although not so smooth you have to crank the scroll speed down all the way to use it.
Some of the things that didn't bother me, but I can definitely see them being a problem for other people:
-This mouse is very light. There is no way to add more weight to it so if you like a weighted mouse or want flexibility, this isn't the mouse for you.
-This mouse shows smudges and dirt like it is its job. After a few days of using it heavily, the oil from your fingers (or the pizza you just ate) will mix with dust and dirt on the surface of the buttons to leave a nice outline of your fingers. This problem is easily remedied by wiping the surface of the mouse, however.
-The cord on the mouse is short. Maybe under 3' in length. Unless your keyboard has a usb port, you keep your tower on your desk (I don't even think this could plug into an iMac and still be useable) or is is being used with a laptop, there is no way it could reach a usb port from the top of your desk or keyboard tray.
STOPPED WORKING AFTER 2 MONTHS.......2007-08-22
After owning this mouse for about 2 months, it stopped working for no good reason. I took good care of it too; I had it on my desk, never spilled anything on it or got it dirty, and then it just stopped working only 2 months after buying it brand new from Amazon! Big waste of money!

Nice Mouse.......2007-06-21
I have used a few wireless mice in the past and I like the feel of this one much more then others I have tried. The only complaint I would have would be the short battery life.
Excellent Apple Replacement Mouse.......2005-04-20
As the owner of an iMac G5, I found a need to replace the keyboard and mouse that came with the machine - and this is the mouse I've finally settled on - and it's perfect.
In the past week I've tried out the Logitech Cordless Duo Mouse, the Kensington Wireless Optical Desktop mouse (both part of a keyboard/mouse package) as well as the optical Macally iceMouse, and I wasn't please with either of them - primarily from an ergonomic standpoint.
But after orienting myself to how I would work with my machine at home, I realized I didn't have a need for a wireless keyboard, but a wireless mouse would be a huge benefit. So I returned the iceMouse and purchased the RFMouse, and it's awesome!
Here is a quick run down:
[PROS]
1. Excellent ergonomic design - extremely comfortable to hold.
2. 3-buttons and a scroll wheel, which is all I need.
3. Wireless w/ rechargeable (4) batteries included.
4. Battery charger located in the receiver, which is a nice bonus.
5. Color coordinates with the iMac.
6. Very smooth scroll wheel, with great tactile response.
7. Power switch ON the mouse so you can reduce battery consumption - brilliant!
[CONS]
1. Scroll wheel seems to sit a little higher up toward the hand than the previous mice I've tested - definitely easy to get used to, it just means moving your finger up a little more to scroll and click.
2. That's it!
It's a great compliment to the Macally ICEKey Keyboard, which as a combination is a perfect replacement for the stock Apple products. Granted, everyone has their own preference when it comes to mice, but after testing out 3 mice that appear to be the leaders that cater to the Mac line of computers, the Macally RFMouse is stellar.
Enjoy!
P.S. To the reviewer who gave the product 1 star because it is right-hand biased - how is that review suppose to help anybody? the majority of mice on the market are for right-handed people - and it's been my experience that if a mouse is left-hand oriented, THAT is printed on the packaging - I think most people assume it to be right-handed.
Lefties are left out.......2004-07-22
Although nothing from MacAlly tells you this (neither their web site nor the photo nor the packaging), this is a right-handed mouse, which makes it useless for me.

Nice little mouse.......2007-12-19
Very nice little mouse. Works well with my old G4 iMac. Like the right click capability (must confess to getting used to right clicking on my occasional visits to the dark side). Way cheaper than Apple's attractive but overpriced mouse.
My first Amazon review! I must be really bored..........2006-11-21
I just began using my new mouse a few minutes ago, and I love it already. I love that it matches my iBook and it's very smooth. The cord is a good length and the scrolly thing is very smooth. I feel like it is a bit small for my hand, and I have pretty small hands, but I'm sure I'll get used to it the more I use it. The size is really the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. It's a nice notebook sized mouse, but it's just a BIT too tiny.
Great mouse.......2005-05-20
I just got mine out of the box and its just what I wanted. Its very small but fits perfectly on my hand. For a notebook its perfect because its so small it fits enywere.
Great mouse! .......2005-05-04
I got this mouse for my iBook. Besides the fact that it matches the white ibook, this is a great mouse! I love it! It is easy to use and comfortable in your hands and it works great! I really like the fact that the scroll wheel is a programable click button like iy is on my full size logitech mouse. Most mice I considered did not have this feature. Plus a great price!

Adesso Optical "Blue-Ice" 3-bin glows in the dark 800 dpi mouse white (mi-333u).......2007-09-28
The mouse works really great. I love it. Nothing has gone wrong with it. It also looks really great.
a usable mouse.......2007-01-10
I got this mouse to replace my sony one that lights up blue and red, but aside from the light factor the Adesso mouse really sucks. My old sony mouse worked on my desk without a mouse pad, but for the Adesso the cursor will slide across the computer screen on it's own if there is no mousepad under it on the table. It sometimes moves on it's own even with a mousepad. The cursor also seems to be a lot less accurate.
It is still a usable mouse, but now my desk is cluttered with a mouse pad(which came with the mouse) and a ghostly cursor that sometimes has a mind of it's own.
Good product for the price.......2006-03-15
The product is a pretty good deal for it's price. Although the buttons were a little sticky at first and the fact (at least on my pc) the blue led light doesn't turn off when i shut off my computer unless i disconnect the mouse from the usb port. Other than that it works fine (no defects or operational problems.)

Nice little mouse for the price.......2006-02-20
I needed a new mouse to replace the Apple pro 1-click that came with my iMac computer. The Apple pro was no longer being made and the Apple Mighty Mouse seemed mighty expensive for something that was still different from what I was used to. I decided to try the Macally ECO mouse. I was glad I did. This mouse responds well and can be used like a 1-click, however you will find the right click useful as well and can program it to what you want - I use it as the "back" key function. The thumbwheel is nice too but to go right or left you have to still use the keyboard shift key with it. The mouse also moves nicely, it doesn't drag. The ECO mouse has a button on top which you can switch to a 1600 dpi resolution - it is convenently located and yet you DO NOT accidently press it. I haven't used it yet but for some gaming I hear it is usefull. I like the long cord, as it gives you room and is also really flexible, not stiff. I like to sit back with the mouse pad in my lap to play a game and this really gives you room. I wanted to try the wireless but after reading reviews I didn't like the idea of constantly running battery power down or replacing batteries. For less than the price of the Mighty Mouse I got the ECO mouse and another Macally mouse for an older iMac computer I have for the kids. Both of the Macally Mice hooked up to the iMac computers in seconds and we were ready to go.
Product Description
The only Ergonomically Functional Neutral mouse that does not require to be gripped and untwists the wrist. It is a 3-Button, scroll wheel mouse, USB "plug-n-play" so no software is usually required for basic operation. Some brands of PC may require an extra module for button assignment, which is available from the "User" section of the Support pages. A PS/2 adaptor is provided, primarily for NT 4.0 users, all other users are advised to use USB as this is a high speed optical device that operates more effectively on that basis. PC and Mac compatible, it removes Static Posture, a working position that keeps muscles tensed, which is now associated with the development of impairment in computer mouse users and impedes their use by persons with disability. It is Universally Assistive Technology in that it does not discriminate in either appearance or by its use and meets the relevant standards for Accessible Technology, defined under Section 508 Law.

Comfortable, tough & looks good.......2007-09-30
Great mouse--everything I expected. Its full size and ergonomic shape make it very comfortable to use. Functions well in all my applications and looks great with my white Mac. The range of features are much more limited than Apple's Might Mouse (it's corded and scrolls up & down only) but at a drastically lower price and more robust build, it is a great alternative. The random rainbow lights lost their novelty quickly, but still seem unique.
its great.......2006-12-03
I have a samsung mouse for 2 yrs
not exactly the same one
its little, cute and works great!
the cord is long and it helps a lot
