I ordered this product for someone else & they love it! Battery usage is low & product works great.
Won't Work Beyond 6 Feet.......2007-12-18
I bought this keyboard to use with my home theater pc. At first I thought it didn't work at all then, by chance, I was using it standing near the PC and it worked. After calling tech support I confirmed that this uses the 27 MHz band which gives you a max distance from the receiver of 6 feet.
I carefully searched the product info on the logitech web site and nowhere does it mention this limitation
It's one thing to sell a product that has a certain limitation. It's another thing all together to do so without telling you about it.
Love it.......2007-11-06
I took a chance and purchased this product with no review available. And, I love it! Keyboard is light, keys on the keyboard are spaced slightly so there is no accidental hitting of the wrong key, and mouse is comfortable. I would 100% recommend.

Customer Reviews:
Great but..........2007-12-19
CONS: Bluetooth receiver broke clean in half while attached to laptop (bent like a stick of gum!)! Most likely due to placing it in laptop bag with receiver still attached.
PROS: Excellent battery life, range, optical performance/response, ergonomics, size, style, value.
BOTTOM LINE: Always *stow* your receiver while you travel *inside* the mouse! Don't leave connected to USB port on computer!
A great little mouse.......2007-12-08
I bought this mouse for my wife. It is very neat and trouble free. She doesn't always remember to shut it off - but the batteries are still going strong after several weeks.
It works for me.......2007-12-03
This mouse works Ok for me. It is easy to handle and the functions are what I expected from description, besides is light and has a good price. I bought a tiny bag to carry on.
Love it - bought two........2007-11-21
I was very happy with this mouse. Small but works great.
I bought one for my desktop and another for my laptop.
Reasonable price on Amazon. Love the onboard storage
for the USB transmitter and it's small size. Works much
better than the laser mouse I use at work. Would highly
recommend.
No replacement parts from Logitech.......2007-11-08
I bought this mouse for my daughter. She lost the little transmitter. Logitech doesn't carry/sell replacements, so the mouse is useless. I call this poor customer/technical support.

Customer Reviews:
Nice Mouse.......2007-06-21
I have used a few wireless mice in the past and I like the feel of this one much more then others I have tried. The only complaint I would have would be the short battery life.
Excellent Apple Replacement Mouse.......2005-04-20
As the owner of an iMac G5, I found a need to replace the keyboard and mouse that came with the machine - and this is the mouse I've finally settled on - and it's perfect.
In the past week I've tried out the Logitech Cordless Duo Mouse, the Kensington Wireless Optical Desktop mouse (both part of a keyboard/mouse package) as well as the optical Macally iceMouse, and I wasn't please with either of them - primarily from an ergonomic standpoint.
But after orienting myself to how I would work with my machine at home, I realized I didn't have a need for a wireless keyboard, but a wireless mouse would be a huge benefit. So I returned the iceMouse and purchased the RFMouse, and it's awesome!
Here is a quick run down:
[PROS]
1. Excellent ergonomic design - extremely comfortable to hold.
2. 3-buttons and a scroll wheel, which is all I need.
3. Wireless w/ rechargeable (4) batteries included.
4. Battery charger located in the receiver, which is a nice bonus.
5. Color coordinates with the iMac.
6. Very smooth scroll wheel, with great tactile response.
7. Power switch ON the mouse so you can reduce battery consumption - brilliant!
[CONS]
1. Scroll wheel seems to sit a little higher up toward the hand than the previous mice I've tested - definitely easy to get used to, it just means moving your finger up a little more to scroll and click.
2. That's it!
It's a great compliment to the Macally ICEKey Keyboard, which as a combination is a perfect replacement for the stock Apple products. Granted, everyone has their own preference when it comes to mice, but after testing out 3 mice that appear to be the leaders that cater to the Mac line of computers, the Macally RFMouse is stellar.
Enjoy!
P.S. To the reviewer who gave the product 1 star because it is right-hand biased - how is that review suppose to help anybody? the majority of mice on the market are for right-handed people - and it's been my experience that if a mouse is left-hand oriented, THAT is printed on the packaging - I think most people assume it to be right-handed.
Lefties are left out.......2004-07-22
Although nothing from MacAlly tells you this (neither their web site nor the photo nor the packaging), this is a right-handed mouse, which makes it useless for me.

Customer Reviews:
Not powerful enough.......2007-08-23
This mouse does not transmit as far as it should. Try something else if you need more than 3 feet.
One of the worst.......2007-04-25
This mouse is one of the worst I've owned. Every now and then it just stops. I can hit the sync buttons all day, unplug the mouse, remove the batteries, etc and....... nada. It just stops working and then starts back up minutes or hours later.
I've only been using it for a month and it's done it more times than I can count.
I will not buy another Kensington mouse. This one is going in the trash and I'm heading out to the store.
What a pain.......2006-05-08
Cursor doesn't always move when I move the mouse. Cursor sometimes zips across the screen with little or no movement of the mouse. Sometimes the left click stops working. This happens even when my batteries are fully charged (and they're charged individually, not in pairs, so they're both fully charged). My guess is radio interference, but don't really know. Whatever it is, I'm heading out today to buy another mouse. I've had it with this one. :(
1-5 second delay in response.......2005-11-30
This is the worst mouse ever. While it feels great in your hand, and I wish more mice had rubber on their body, the functionality is horrid. When you move the mouse, it takes 1 to several seconds before the mouse/receive "wakes up". This happens EVERY time you stop moving the mouse not after a while of sitting.
I called their tech support, all they would do is tell me to use newer and different batteries. So I yelled at them and they sent me another set... and it did the exact same thing.
I want a mouse that moves when I move my hand!
What's worse? When the mouse actually does sit around for more than 30 seconds (maybe a minute? didn't time it but not long at all), then it really goes to sleep and you can't make it move at all unless you click one of the buttons... what sucks? It SENDS the "wakeup" button click through!!!
So if you left your mouse on "Buy Now" on a thousand shares of X to think about it and research it and decided not to buy it, you are screwed. You can't move the mouse off the button and clicking the button to wake mouse up will pass the click through and press on the button for you.

Customer Reviews:
Exactly what he wanted!.......2007-12-21
I bought this for my husband as he hated the roller ball mouse that came with the computer. The only downfall we have had so far is that if the USB dongle is even slightly out of the port then it affects how the mouse moves on the screen. Other than that we both have this type of product and love them.
Nice mouse........2007-09-14
This is truely a great plug and play device. No drivers needed but you can install some if you like. You just open it, put in the batteries (2 AA) and plug in the usb dongle and switch the mouse on (on/off switch on the bottom). Works great. I bought 3 more for my other desktops after trying one.
ergonomic mouse for small hands.......2007-02-14
I bought the blue-colored one back in 2004 as a spare mouse, but have had to use it intensively only last year. Sadly, the left button has given out and is not working anymore. That may have more to do with my abuse of it than the product's durability under normal use. (I used it 10 hours a day and frequently clicked hard on it when I'm furious at the screen.)
I would still recommend it highly and in fact I'm thinking of getting a new one in maybe this silver color.
Battery are expensive.......2007-01-26
Moouse worked fine till like 8th month when computer could not recognize this mouse..Then call Logitech and they sent me a brand new upgraded version of this mouse. I love that and their customer service. But this mouse eats up lot of AA batteries
Great Mouse.......2007-01-19
I got the mouse for my husband for Christmas. He has a notebook computer and was tired of the mouse cord and the power cord getting tangled when getting the computer out and putting it away. He is extremely happy to have only the power cord to deal with.

Customer Reviews:
It works, but I don't like it.......2006-06-21
Battery life seems very short. I only use Rechargables and maybe they just aren't for these lower power/long time items (unlike camera's), but I am annoyed at how often I need to change them.
Also, the unit is heavy. Of course, this is because of the batteries, but I didn't realize how much lighter my replacement logitech wired optical mouse would be. I like it much much better.
Only buy an cordless if you really need it, would be my advise.
Nice design crippled by very flawed software.......2005-12-10
I was flabbergasted that a company would release a product with so many problems, especially for a device that that uses technology that has been around for decades.
The Kensington cordless optical mouse receiver installs easily. It comes with both a USB and standard PS/2 mouse connection. The cordless mouse requires two double A batteries (which are included). Once installed, my Windows 2000 system recognized the mouse immediately.
The mouse was able to transmit from a distance of over 25 feet with no problem.
The mouse has a power-saving feature where, after a few minutes of inactivity, it communicates less frequently with the receiver. The user must move the mouse several times before "waking up" the connection. I find this perfectly acceptable, and became used to this mode within a few hours of use.
What I did not find acceptable, however, was the response and accuracy of the mouse. Using the basic Windows 2000 control panel settings to adjust the mouse speed and acceleration, there was NO SETTING that was even close to acceptable mouse performance. I spend a good 15 minutes trying various combinations, but the mouse either zoomed all over the screen with little ability to home in on a small area, or it crawled along, requiring the user to lift his or her hand several times to move the cursor across the screen.
In addition to working with the Windows control panel, I tried various mouse pads, including special optical pads with grid patterns. The mouse performed better on patterned pads, but still way outside of any usable range.
I then went to the Kensington web site ([...]) and downloaded their "mouseworks" software package. After downloading and installing the software, I ran the program. It contains a panel that allows for greater fine-tuning of the mouse rates, but I was still unable to get a setting that was close to what I wanted.
At this point I would have probably learned to live with the new mouse if it weren't for a serious bug in the mouseworks software. When I used the mouse to drag and drop files from Windows Explorer to other applications, the mouseworks software left "ghost icons" on my desktop. These ghost icons would float above all applications, so no matter what you are working on, you have these ghost icons superimposed on top.
I tried all all kinds of things to get rid of the ghost icons, including resetting my desktop background and toggling my active desktop. The only thing that worked was rebooting the machine, and that only fixed the problem until the next mouseworks ghost icon made its way to the desktop.
I contacted Kensington support. Apparently they get this question a lot, because they sent me a detailed list of instructions to remove mouse works, which included hacking the Windows registry. (There is no uninstall program for mouseworks). So now I'm back to where I started.
This was a tremendous waste of time - several hours spent trying to get a mouse to work. You can save yourself a lot of frustration by avoiding this product.
Outstanding response time........2005-04-01
And very precise movement.
I was a little skeptical of this unit at first, having designed and manufactured Logitech's product line for several years, but I was pleasantly surprised at the performance of this Kensington wireless model. Works on any solid surface, as long as its not covered with glass, and even on your lap! Nice narrow ergonomic feel, and very sporty looks with its solid silver case, a nice compliment to any home computer set up.
A bargain at $26.

Customer Reviews:
Kensington 72225 Bluetooth Mouse.......2007-11-15
Ok. Kensington 72225 Bluetooth Mouse. Nice ergonomics, comfortable to use, but!!! This mouse use too much power from rechargeble battery. Every two-three days I need to change battery!
Very stylish, reliable.......2006-07-20
Very stylish and reliable product. It does not have the range (30ft) as advertised - was only able to use it a maximum of ~5ft from PC. The batteries seemed to go out a little faster than I had expected and if the unit is not right next to my laptop, it seems to get choppy.
Finally a decent bluetooth mouse!.......2006-04-20
I'm a web developer and tried just about all the bluetoot mice out there. Every single one fell short and had huge lag problems. Kensington got it right. No lag, works perfectly with my bluetooth laptop, and it's probably one of the most comfortabe mice I've ever used. The rubber grip really feels nice and keep the hand from cramping.
Simple and wireless.......2006-02-16
Great mouse. It takes a little while to get used to waiting for it to connect. When it sits still for a while it will switch itself off to conserve power. When you hit a button it takes 2-3 seconds to reconnect. Don't try moving the mouse to get it to reconnect, the optical sensor is off so it will not detect movement. Under heavy usage it burns through batteries so I just bought some rechargeable AA batteries and a charger. When they run low I just swap them out.
Great Mouse..But..........2006-02-04
I bought this mouse cause I'm a gamer.
I had a Logtech mx 510, and my left mouse button wore out (as all you other gamers know.) but it would follow so well, and would not skip at all while drug fast. Well, i seen one of the logitech laser mice (mx1000) that my friend had. And it was basically the same mouse as the mx 510, but it was laser, and didn't skip.
So i was in the market for a new mouse. One that was Light weight, Sharp Looking (this is by far the sharpest looking mouse i have ever used), and one that was easy on the hand (Rubber grips gave it another star). But it was wireless, and the last wireless mouse that i owned would eat batteries like a Durabrand cd player. But i opted for the wireless again because that would be one less cord I would have to worry about.
Anywho, i purchased this mouse, and hooked it up almost immediatly (my and my mx 510 had our little moment) and then i loaded up Counter-Strike (the game i play) and i played with the low sensitivity (1.6 if that means anything to anyone) and went to just turn a corner, and..i the mouse just shot strait up on my screen. I try it again (move the mouse sideways) and again, the mouse glitches and looks strait up. this is the downfall of this mouse. I bought it, expecting it to be a great gaming mouse because of the laser ability. I was wrong...
Overall, it's a GREAT desktop mouse for surfing the web, and chatting, but if you're looking for a gaming mouse...this is not the mouse you're looking for.
Hope This helps someone.
Robert D. Davis.
