Very Uncomfortable.......2007-05-13
I bought 2 and one worked for about 2 months before needing replacement. Its the most uncomfortable mouse Iv'e ever used I wish the other one would break too. I have big hands and this mouse still needs to be smaller. I feel like i have to strech my fingers to click and then it hurts my palm. I really liked my Iogear mouse while it was alive. However, in less than a year, it stopped working, and I replaced it with a MS wireless mouse. I really didn't care for the hypersensitivity, but I did like the quick launch feature on this mouse. No matter what, though, I'll take reliability over gadgets every time.

Iogear Laser Terrible.......2006-11-17
The Iogear Laser mice (mouses) are terrible. I bought this mouse (GME521) and the travel desktop mouse and the sensitivty & reaction of both mice are the worst I've ever seen. Good luck trying to point the cursor where you want it to go. The cursor dances across the screen even when I'm not touching the mouse. I've tried them on 2 different desktops and a laptop computer. It's a disgrace!

This must be some sort of joke - to release this mouse for sale.
It looks nice, and the hot-link buttons function well.
As a pointing tool, though, it is utterly useless. It is so sensitive that the slighest move sends your pointer to the corner of the screen. At first I thought that maybe I needed to adjust to the new mouse, or better yet, perhaps adjust the sensitivity.
Option 1: You cannot adjust the sensitivity. On to option 2...
Option 2: Maybe it's just me? Unfortunately not. When the mouse sits, untouched, on my desk, the pointer is slowly drifting across my monitor screen. Sometimes when I try to use it to select something, it is impossible.
I junked this POS, and went back to my older Dell/Logitech mouse.

Flawed design?.......2007-02-14
I ordered this to match my macally icekey and had high hopes, but unfortunately, the mouse let me down. It tracked horribly. It would regularly wander. If I touched the outer casing while it was wandering it would stop.
Since I fix computers for a living, I opened it up and tried wedging a piece of post-it underneath the laser sensor to try to stabilize it but nothing worked. Looking at other laser mice, noticed that this laser sensor is considerably higher off of the table surface that most other laser mice. Maybe this is a design flaw that causes this wandering. Either way I sent it back and got a Kensington Si300. It has worked flawlessly since and is highly recommended.
Track on Glass!!!.......2006-06-22
Among the many optical mouses I have tried, this is the first that tracks on a glass table. On the very same table I have tried Logitech's V400, also a laser mouse, but it does not track at all. The other older generation "plain optical" mouses also do not track.

Now, if they would move the front and back button to the side, I would really recommend this mouse without reservation given its twenty five dollar price tag. But as of this current design, the two tiny buttons next to the scroll wheel are very hard to press. I suppose I can get used to this, but I'd rather not have to do so in the first place.
But for the tracking power alone, I give this mouse 5 stars. Highly recommended if you have a glass table and do not want to use a mouse pad.

Doesn't work well.......2007-12-23
This mouse is not what it represents to be. The directions say that in order to "connect" the transmitter to the mouse, that buttons should be pushed on each. There are no "connection" buttons, as there clearly are on the 3 button logitech mouse it was intended to replace.
The mouse did connect with the transmitter upon starting the computer without the "connecting" buttons, making one wonder how one mouse would not get directions from some other transmitter. Not to worry, the directions say that the transmitter only has a 3 foot range.
The mouse after connecting had a somewhat lethargic response, with some very slow spots on the center of the screen for whatever reason.
And the 4th and 5th button on this 5 button mouse are two little switches on the left side, not discernible from the illustration.
So, we are using our original 3 button mouse until we can find a 5 button that works.

Good mouse for the price. Unlike some other wireless mouse products, this one does NOT have a built-in space on the back of the mouse to store the USB connector. Keep that in mind...if you frequently pack up the laptop and travel, you will have two loose items to keep track of...the mouse and the connector.
Other than that, it works just fine.
