And keyboards just keep getting worse..........2008-01-01
Every time I get a new keyboard, it just lasts for a shorter and shorter time. This Apple's latest aluminum keyboard IS HORRIBLE and only lasted one month. Tons of the time, keys are being missed or not pressed, the whole keyboard bends so easily, and the aluminum plating snaps right off on the side and gets tougher and tougher to snap back on. Worst waste of $50 on a keyboard ever. JUNK. AVOID.
Also, stupid move by Apple on shifting every single useful media key (Dashboard and F2 are the same, Expose and F3 are the same, etc.) around on us. Apple should have made a separate Dashboard button that is completely independent from the F-series function keys. But, of course, they didn't.
I'm back on Apple's bulky white wired keyboard (using for over a year) and, well, at least this thing is more rigid.
More comfortable than it looks.......2007-12-31
When I first that this keyboard I thought it felt to good looking to be comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised that this was not the case after I tried it out at a local electronics store and typed a page of random sentences. At first it felt somewhat less tactile than other keyboards, but the more I typed on it, the less I felt a difference and could easily spill out paragraphs without hitting a key I didn't intend to press. Works well on my iBook G4 too, when the AC adapter is used.

When I first saw this keyboard, I thought it was going to be a case of "form over function". I mean, the styling is elegant and sophisticated, and it just looks so cool. ('specially if you have a Mac with an aluminum case like a Mac Pro or new iMac.) But I honestly didn't expect it to be as ergonomic or functional as my previous Mac keyboards. I was wrong.
I had the opportunity to try it out in an Apple store, and then bought one on the spot. Other reviewers have listed the details of its advantages better than I can. So I'll just say it's just nice to use, and I can type faster and with less effort than ever before. The keys have such a nice feel and response. Highly recommended.
Huge improvement over last Apple keyboard.......2007-12-28
One of the reasons I like my MacBook is the new keyboard, so I was pretty excited when this keyboard came out. Aesthetically, the new Apple keyboard's shell matches the Mac Pro and other aluminum-shelled Macs, and people who see it for the first time always seem to be amazed at how slim it actually is. The keys are quiet but fairly responsive (unlike the horribly spongey white "Apple Keyboard" that came before it), and you can type on it for longer periods of time without tiring because of the short distance the keys have to travel. The shell of the keyboard is rigid and doesn't act as a crud trap like the previous two clear-bodied Apple keyboards, so you don't have to worry about staples and other weird things getting trapped on display for the life of the keyboard. I'm not sure what you'd do if you accidentally spilled something on it, but the innards seem to be packed in much tighter than the previous two Apple keyboards.
If you have an Apple Pro Keyboard (adjustable height and either black or white keys) you might want to try this one out in person before buying it, but if you have the newer "Apple Keyboard" (non-adjustable stand) I'd definitely recommend upgrading.
My only suggestions for improvements would be related to the USB cable, function keys, and key color. The USB cord is still short like all other modern Apple keyboards, and it's not quite as thick as a typical keyboard cable, so if it's used with a Mac that's below the desktop you might periodically kick it loose from the USB extension cord. As far as the function keys go, Apple made a strange decision to cleave them in half like the old iMac/blue G3 PowerMac keyboard, so if you use the function keys beyond F12 (Eject) and Expose/Dashboard this could be more of an issue for you. Finally, I wish that this keyboard also came in a version with black keys, as the keys on my friends' white iBooks & MacBooks haven't stayed as "clean"-looking cosmetically as my black MacBook keyboard (and I have oily skin!).

I think Apple hit the nail on the head when designing this keyboard. This keyboard has an awesome sleek modern design. Their previous keyboards almost seemed plain in comparison to the computers (laptop or desktop) they were plugged into. I very much like the slim design.

Not Worth the Money.......2007-12-26
I am typing this review on the new Apple Wireless BT Keyboard. I am not impressed by this keyboard. I have called Apple 3 times to get help with it. Each time I would get it to pair then it would loss connection with the Mac desktop. Finally after the 3rd call some one was able to help me get it connected. This has been the longest amount of time that it stayed connected.
I would say it is cramped typing on it, but it would be a great keyboard for some one that is a traveler, but for desktop it is not worth spending the money! I will be going back to the keyboard that came with my Mac.

Absolutely no problem setting up and using the keyboard. However, it takes some time to get use to. The absence of

keys were found to be very annoying, as were the total lack of any documentation. The
key can be used along with the
key to delete to the right. The rest remains a mystery until you stumble on to something by accident, but that's Apple's way!
My favorite keyboard ever.......2007-12-06
I bought one for my iMac a few weeks ago, and now I'm buying another for my MacBook Pro. Most of all, I like the compact size and Apple's confident decision to leave off the annoying numeric keypad and other keys that would keep me from putting my mouse right where it belongs, within easy reach. Keep it up, Apple! Don't give in to the whiners who insist on bloated keyboards that monopolize your desk space. They can always buy the wired keyboard, after all.
Apart from the compact size, I also like the design and tactile performance. I can type fast and accurately, with less fatigue than the older Apple keyboard designs.
It's OK.......2007-12-05
I have a macbook pro. I had the older wireless keyboard and mouse so I hooked it up to an external keyboard and used it as a desktop computer in my office.
I got the new keyboard because the old apple keyboards get dirty so quickly (if you have one you know what I mean since it collects all dirt and food etc and proudly displays it through the transparent parts. I also hated the squishy feel of the old keyboards.
This keyboard looks like it's more protected and won't get dirty as quickly. It also feels like it's a lot higher in quality.
I hated it when I first got it because it felt like I wouldn't get used to it.
I really like it now after a few days, as I prefer shorter keystrokes and I got used to it a lot more easily than I thought I would. Actually I prefer it to the old one.
I really wanted a wireless keyboard but I do miss a few buttons, particularly the delete forward key. I know I can use Fn Delete (Fn down for page down, etc) but I don't like having to use Fn combos. It forced me to go in the preferences and turn off the F1-F12 shortcuts (sound and play and dimness). They could have made it a tiny bit bigger and not have to use Fn combos maybe.
So final words: Not ideal but good enough.
