The drive works well and is attractive but the surf board case seems fragile and it has already developed a hairline crack. I wish I'd hunted down the rubberized version.

I bought this 1GB memory stick because of it's novelty - a surf board. Thought it would be a good departure from all the serious crap that's put out every year by overly serious technology companies.
The memory stick has performed well, and has lived up to expectations. The only thing that is sorely lacking is it's durability rating. The memory stick feels very flimsy in your hands and I'm afraid of inadvertently breaking the connection because it's very thin and weak. The memory stick probably has less rigidity then a #2 pencil, so you can see why I'm concerned about it snapping my fingers or in my bag.

This flash drive is nice regarding price and size, however the overall design isn't great. I was expecting a fairly solid piece of equipment but the drive is pressed together, molded plastic that does not feel like it will hold up for very long. It's a bit brittle and the paint chips off easy. I will say the lanyard system is great.

The Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Mini Flash Drive is pretty slow. It takes forever to write something to memory. It is also slow when you play things from it. Transfers often time one because it takes so long to write the files into the flash drive's memory. You get what you pay for. It is cheap, not that reliable, not good in a hurry, but ok if you just want to store non-vital things there. I use it to unload my TiVo TCD649080 Series2 80-Hour Dual-Tuner Digital Video Recorder whenever it gets too full. It holds 2 movies and a couple of shows at the lowest quality setting. It is an ok value, just don't put anythign of vital importance in it.

When I received it, I had to check online to ensure that its a flash drive. Great! fits in the tiniest of spaces when other nearby USB ports on laptop are occupied by larger drives, and tiny spaces even in my smallest purse. I would have lost it by now, had it not been for the attached string [don't know the name]. Bought one for my nephew cuz he's more careless than I am but honestly at this price, it doesn't bother me.

The Kingmax Super Stick is incomparably small, and yet you don't have to sacrifice speed for size. I love my Kingmax flash drive for its portability, its durability and its truly amazing design. If you buy this, don't put it on a keychain, or carry it in your pocket. I bought mine two weeks ago and yesterday it snapped in half (without any abuse on my part.) Nice and cheap, but you get what you pay for.

I've been using these since July. I only use the Memorex ones. I have not had any type of problem. They are fast, reliable, hold a lot of data. I can put about 112 songs on one. In fact, you can even copy video files on to the flash drive and transfer them to another device--easy to use. This is some of the best technology I have seen in a long time. It is probably just a matter of time until they come out with smaller, more portable computers. With the flash drives, you can literally walk around with several of the flash drives, have 40 or 50 gigs at your disposal--for maps, music, video, etc. I even use the 4 gig one for a backup drive. Memorex is providing a good solid product. If that changes, then I will change this review.

You can see the warranty states replace! I just called them as the 4-gig drive I just bought is dead. I plugged it into the computer, transferred one small file to it and went to transfer the second and the drive was "write protected". There is no fix and I cannot remove my data from it. I found allot of people on the web that have the same problem. Nobody can fix it. Even Memorex states it cannot be fixed.
It was plugged in for 2 minutes. Memorex tells me I can ship it to them and they will send me a "reconditioned" unit. OR, I can contact the online company I bought it from and have them replace it. So, I paid $60.00 for new and got 2 min of use and they want to send me a reconditioned unit that if it happens again, they will claim there is no warranty for reconditioned product. They will not send a new one and THEY WANT ME TO SEND MY DATA TO SOMEONE ELSE.
You will also note the warranty on the web is 1 year. The warranty with the drive is 2 years. Well 2 years or 2 min. which ever comes first. I'm done. I won't do business with a multi-million dollar company that FAILS to disclose they replace product with refurbished item and makes there money by ripping off the little guy or the people who sell there product.

Well, I've never had an Ipod, so I too don't really have much to compare against. But I'm not worried about having headphones jammed in my head the 18 hours I'm awake everyday! This is a good mp3 player! I didn't like the headphones that came with it so I went to walmart and bought some marshmellow soft ones. 20 bucks and make listening amazing! And you don't have to blare them or buy a booster because they block out sound quite well! Save your hearing...buy marshmellow earphones!
I'm happy with the amount of space in the 1GB drive. I recommend, as others did?, taking out the battery when not in use. For whatever reason the red LED light will somewhat flicker and flash for no apparent reason. I think it is supposed to do that whenever you push on the big play button (power) but when you just let it rest it will come on half-lit to full to off and repeat, etc. I don't think I read the directions but it definitely took me a little while to figure out how to play the music. Using the hold function also works well especially when riding a motorcycle...that and work were my reasons for buying this product and I'm happy with what I bought. Hope you will be too!

It's a classic case of getting what you pay for. It's a nifty little unit with some unique playing controls and a decent interface. It was a little larger than I expected, but still fit nicely in the pocket. I got some enjoyable tunes out of it, but after only a few months of use, it just stopped cold. Fortunately because of the low price, I was able to shrug and trash it. So if you want to just make one purchase - go SanDisk.

I lost my last 1GB MP3 player and never thought I would have the money to replace it, but was desperate enough to try anything that was reasonable. This has more sound options than my last one!
The directions are written in broken english, but aren't really necessary if you put you're mind to it. The backlight can be set to 1 color so it doesn't change with every button pressed, (which drove me nuts).
It claims the battery isn't used when plugged into the computer, but mine died so quickly that I now take it out whenever I'm not using the player...this has made it last considerably longer.
I'm very happily surprised at how well it works for how little I spent.

This is a great player for the price. It's so simple to use, it's almost silly. No software to install, no programs to have to figure out. All you do is drag and drop your files, just like a flash drive.
The player can store any kind of data, but will only play Mp3 and WMA files. Any other type of data should be stored in folders, so the player doesn't hit a file type it doesn't recognize and shut off. If you buy this player from Digital Pulse, they offer website support and downloads for the player.
