Too much for cards reader.......2007-12-25
I only needed this product to use it with Smart Media cards for my old camera, it worked just fine and win XP recognize it without any problem, but I think the price is too much for it.

I purchased this unit to facilitate the exchange of jpeg's between my Sony Digital Camara and my desktop PC. While you can read and write data to the Memory Stick Reader with the PC, when you attempt to download files created on a Sony camara it will give an error of "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable." The same files are accessible in my camara or Sony Notebook: they cannot be accessed with the SmartDisk Reader. My attempts with SmartDisk Technical Support were unsuccessful.
Don't purchase this unit if you plan to use it with genuine Sony hardware.

Not so good..........2004-10-21
I ordered this because ... well I wanted a card reader for my new sony digital camera and my old card reader wouldn't read the memory sticks. It absolutely would not work. Sounds like something is loose in there so maybe mine just came broken but at this point I'd definitely not recommend it. I was so unhappy with it that after years of buying on amazon, this is my first written review.

I just picked up one of these for use in some programming and GIS courses I am taking after work. This is thing is tiny, about the thickness of 2 or 3 credit cards, less than 3 quarter of an inch wide and less than 1.75 inches long. This USB flash drive is dwarfed by all others I have seen.
I have seen this item packed with a "sleeve" that resembles a nomal USB keychain that you slide the item into though I am not sure why because it functions great without this "sleeve" and with it the size is the same as a normal USB keychain. When I received mine it arrived with a credit card sized, though obviously thicker, carrying case that holds two of the PQI USB flash drives. I actually carry it in my wallet.
I have had no problems since receiving and using this item. In fact I plan to purhcase two 1gb models within the next couple of days.

What you save in price you make up for in battery cost.......2007-12-11
I bought this, this because I really didn't need an mp3 player since I listen to the radio in the morning and late afternoons but the price was right. I lie to you not, I have to put a new battery in this thing everyday if not every 1.5 days. The cost adds up to the same as a an ipod after battery costs. If you don't listen to your mp3 player everyday then this is the player for you.
Cheap price for a cheap item.......2007-12-01
You get what you pay for. Battery life is very low (about one hour max. of continuous play). With more than about 75 MP3's loaded, the player seems to get "confused" and cannot find all files. I think it has something to do with the way the memory organizes the files into subfolders (artist and album). If you navigate through the folders, you can find all of the loaded MP3's but if you're just wanting to turn on the player and go, you might find a big portion of your music unavailable. For example, the first time I loaded up with MP3 music files, I added 120 files. However when I turned on the player, it only showed that I had 70-some files. I deleted a few files from the player and then it showed I had 80-some files???? Very strange. I decided to test it by loading up the MP3 files into the root folder on the player using Windows Explorer. This helped but didn't totally fix the problem. (Loaded up 120 files and now it's showing 107...) My wife purchased a Sansa M240 for about the same price and it is MUCH better.

This product is very solid for the price! Easy to download music too and easy to use. I like this model because it has better use buttons. Older models had trouble with buttons sticking. Solid choice for this price! Easy to operate and understand. Only drawback is I am a heavy user and wear them out fairly quickly but for the money I simply keep a spare on hand! Can't beat this product for the low price!

i read others reviews and took a chance on this item. i'm not disappointed at all. this player works just great for me, although you must follow the instructions close. the only problem i have is when my cat chewed on the usb cable and i now have to hold my mouth just right.
my wife also has a coby (a higher grade) but she has no problems with hers.

Although this item is priced right, I found it to be cheap. It didn't work with my computer so be careful when buying this item. I purchased a Sansadisk MP3 player after returning this one and it is wonderful.

First of all, Amazon is a great online store - had complications with shipping and they fixed the problem without hesitation.
When I got the memory stick I found that all I had to do was pop it inside my PSP, format it using the built-in PSP function, plug in the USB connector, and place homebrew and movies into their respective places. Load times are noticably quicker using this stick compared to the KingMAX and Sony brand pro duo sticks that I have used. To me, it is worth the $15-20 extra for that speed difference, especially with the 4GB models that are currently for sale.
The card runs homebrew like "MapThis" very well, and I was able to use the PSP as a GPS receiver with no issues. Overall, I'm satisfied with this product and would definitely go with the SanDisk "Gaming" stick line when making future purchases.

This memory stick is by far the fastest and most reliable memory stick that I have owned. The delivery was fast (of course) and it worked right out of the box. Decent price as well. Probably the best price you will find for a guaranteed genuine memory stick. Watch out for those fakes that are sold on auction sites!

Tiny, durable, medium write speeds.......2007-11-30
Everyone who has seen my Kingmax has been impressed that it is 2GB and so tiny.
I have forgotten my first Super Stick twice through the wash and dry. It survived each time without any problems even months later. It is very durable and obviously water-proof and heat resistant. I do not have it on my key-ring however, since its metal contacts are open and I do not want them scratched up. The included plastic strap is large, stiff, and does not look like it goes with this key at all. I used an old, small Kodak camera strap, and for my second Kingmax, a strap from another USB key.
I really like this USB key, and I now own three. I own two 2gb versions, and one 512. The 512mb version I keep in my wallet as a D. Small Linux USB drive. The other two I keep in a pocket without keys.
The wrist strap was so bad I threw all three away. Also, the plastic coat that comes with the key will eventually be lost - count on it. Even without the protective sleeve and throwing away the included terrible wrist strap, this has been a worthwhile purchase, and I plan to buy more for gifts. Minus one star for not having any case, and a worthless, huge wrist strap.
Great USB Flash Drive.......2007-10-17
I wanted a USB flash/thumb drive that I could carry around with me everywhere I went. And this is definitely it! It is about the size of the tip of my finger and weighs nothing. I actually wear it around my neck (using a dog tag chain) and now I can carry around everything I need. I really can't think of any possible reason to give this a negative review unless you 1) paid too much for it (which is your fault, not the products) or 2) it's so small you lost it (which would also be your fault). In other words, this is a top notch product at a great price (@$20).

This drive is awesome!!! Not only a small size so that I can keep important things right in my wallet, but tough as nails. Let me explain. My wife is sweet enough to assume I am on target with the whole take things out of my pocket thing. Well Im not, so bi-monthly I get a washed wallet. I dont keep business cards in there anymore, and only have license, credit cards, waterproof cards and my little flash drive.
Bottom line, Washed, dried, placed in laptop, ALL WORKED FINE!!!! I wouldnt suggest a monthly washing, but I was impressed that it made it though one.

This little wonder functioned beautifully, not to mentioned all the comments I got on its tiny size. Too bad I managed to loose it while carrying it in my wallet. In the course of carrying it for two months the casing became ever so slightly bent as a result of the pressure experienced in the wallet. However, I did not experience delamination issues that others have mentioned. If you can keep track of this little puppy I highly recommend it!
Unbelievably small and convenient.......2007-07-30
Very cool device! I wanted something small that wouldn't weigh my key chain down even more, and this fit the bill. Fits in any USB slot, unlike some of its bigger cousins, which are too wide or thick to fit into slots next to other occupied slots.
The top of mine broke off after a few months - the section with the keychain hole in it broke off. I am not sure how that happened. The stick itself still worked, so I just ordered another and use the original as a backup.

Best bang for your buck.......2007-11-10
Bought this set months ago when I got my new bluetooth phone. The usb adapter allows the microSD card to function as a thumb drive with upgrade capabilities, or you can just use the flash interface to add files to your card and then pop it in your phone. Eventually I got tired of the poor music interface on my cell phone, so I popped the microSD card into the SD adapter, and am now using it in my car stereo. Flexible and cheap! What more could you ask for? I'll certainly be picking up more like this when larger sized cards come out. I'm done with purchasing thumb drives with memory that's only useful for one thing.

The microSD card comes in a little blue-transparent bag, as it's a bulk product. The card reader works perfectly. This combo after shipping costs about the same as the Amazon 2GB by itself.
The adaptor that came with the microSD card didn't work in my computer. However, that does not appear to be an uncommon occurence.
