It is awsome! I was sick and tired of my computer freaking out every time I go use my program for all my pictures. Now I put them on DiskGO and do what I need from that. You can use it for any type of downs loads from pictures to video and music. Good buy and an awsome price for the size. Easy to run.

this is a great 250GB external hard drive. it is not 256GB nor 80GB as the subject or discription says. hopefully amazon will get this fixed so when someone does a search for a 250GB external hard drive this item will show up.

Diskgo = So Slow.......2007-12-28
I give the Diskgo three stars because if fulfills the purpose it is intended to do - provide extra memory to store stuff I don't want filling up my mac memory and slowing down my computer.
However, transfer time is SO SLOW! I have been moving around quite a bit of stuff, but now way that it should be taking as long as it has. If you're looking for something speedy, I don't recommend the so slow Diskgo.

The hardware appears to be very well built. My laptop does not have a high speed USB so downloading is very slow. The main criticism I have is that the documentation is very skimpy. It would be helpful if there was a good set of instructions on how to go about selecting files & folders to be backed up.
