Customer Reviews:
Great Little Digital Camera, Watch for Blurry Corners Though.......2007-12-31
I purchased this camera as a back-up for my digital SLR, something smaller to carry in my pocket. So far I have not been disappointed by it. It takes great pictures outdoors, and indoors with good light. Sharpness and detail is great, and there is hardly any purple fringing. I try to keep the ISO speed as low as possible, because anything over ISO 200 shows the effects of noise and noise reduction. Luckily, the very effective image stabilizer helps me to keep the ISO speed low.
Build quality is terrific. The camera is very small but feels exceptionally solid, with a metal tripod mount, and a solid feeling door over the battery compartment. The screen is of very high quality, and while it may not be 3 inches like the screen on the SD870, it leaves room for an optical viewfinder.
The controls are easy to use, and while the power button can be hard to push, the layout is easy to remember. I especially like that you can set the print/share button as a shortcut to record movies.
The only negatives to mention are the occasional blurry corners at wide angle, especially in the lower right. Also, the camera should display on the LCD screen the zoom setting.
All in all... a great camera with lots of features at a great price.
perfect purchase!.......2007-12-31
I love this Canon Camera! I had an old Kodak camera, while it was okay, it didn't have the bells and whistles that I needed. I wanted to get a camera with a view finder yet had a big LCD. I decided on a Canon, because I heard it was the best brand to buy. Though there is a lot of things I had to learn about the camera I had a pretty good feel at what the camera could do after a few days.
I really have enjoyed the video capabilities of my SD850. The quality seems to be just as good as any video camera. It definately is 100x's better than my old Kodak. The megapixel is not as important to me, because I don't plan on blowing up pictures to poster size, but its nice to know I have that option.
I've heard complaints about the power button, but so far it hasn't bothered me. The one thing I like my kodak better was the ability to review my pictures without having to move a function wheel. I'll eventually get used to that. Other than that I'm completely satisfied with my new camera.
If you are looking for a great point and shoot camera the SD850 I would say is the way to go. I like the compact size. It fits right in my pocket and the weight is just fine.
One more thing, the LCD is so clear I absolutely love it!!
Canon SD850.......2007-12-30
We have had several digital cameras and this camera may well be the best. It is compact, easy to use and sturdy. Above all it takes great pictures.
Great Pictures.......2007-12-29
My new camera takes excellent pictures, but I need to take a camera course to utilize all its features. Choosing this specific camera as easy. At a family reunion at Disney World, all with cameras combined our 1500+ shots onto one CD. I noticed my son-in-law's pictures were the very best quality. This was the camera he used.
Canon powershot sd850 IS.......2007-12-28
I've done a lot of researching before finally buying this camera.
It was between this one and a Sony.I've been comparing reviews and decided to go with the canon.
I'm glad I did.Camera takes great pics.Haven't had it all that long so it will take me a little getting used to.The settings are pretty easy to understand.I just have to play with it a little more.
This is a great camera for someone that doesn't need to take professional pics.
I switched from a Kodak easyshare DX7590.It was a great camera but just too big.
This canon is the perfect size.
At this point I don't really have anything negative to say about the canon powershot sd850!
BTW-I love how you can read reviews before actually buying a product. Thanks Amazon-makes it sooo much easier!

Customer Reviews:
gets the job done.......2007-12-30
and is cheap. high quality cables are only required for analog signals, not digitally transmitted signals and you DONT have to pay a fortune.
Why Pay More?.......2007-12-29
Did a bit of research before I bought these cables. The salesfolks at the store where I bought our Sony XBR4 HDTV insisted you have to buy the $110 cables - nothing else will do - "why buy a great TV and lose so much by using bad (= cheap) cables" - etc. Most of the reviews said otherwise. I went with the folks who said you may as well give them a try; you're not out much dough if they don't work and if they do work you've saved a bunch!! Bought `em - love `em.
One note: we have a short run between the component and the TV (6.5 ft cable). Based on reviews and ratings, if I had a longer run, I would probably have gone with a different cable.
A fine alternative to higher-priced products.......2007-12-28
If you're not obsessed with high-end performance, you will be more than satisfied with this HDMI cable. The connection could stand to be a little tighter, but by no means do they ever come loose on their own.
Well made.......2007-12-28
These cables are well made, transmit the signal just perfectly for a 1080p with the PS3 blue-ray player. The connectors are well made and should last quite a while. For the money, these are pretty tough to beat. I have had others where the connector was a bit loose and had to get new ones.
Buy This, Save Money.......2007-12-28
Bought this cable to hook my PS3 to the DLP. Works great. Don't waste your money on the more expensive cables.

Amazon.com Product Description
If you're looking for vehicle navigation that's powerful and simple to use, the Garmin StreetPilot c340 is just the ticket. Right out of the box, this unit helps you make the right turns wherever your travels take you. With an easy-to-use touchscreen interface, text-to-speech voice commands, a brilliant display that shows the way with 2D or 3D animations, and a massive points of interest database, the c340 has all the basics covered. Plus, you'll find some great additional features that make it a must-have companion.
Look Mom, no buttons! Garmin has taken simplicity to a new level with the c340. |
The c340 is designed with simplicity in mind, although Garmin hasn't forgotten to add a touch of class. With a weight of under ten ounces and a width of 4.4 inches, the c340 is ultracompact and easy to transport. To keep confusion on the road to a minimum, the only buttons are a rotary volume knob and an on/off switch. The bright 3.5-inch-diagonal display features a touchscreen, making it a snap to input routing information and make quick selections on the road. The c340 sports dual integrated speakers for high-quality voice prompts, a USB port for PC connectivity, and an internal lithium-ion battery that provides power when you're planning your routes outside the car (approximately 4-8 hours battery life). In addition to an included 12-volt power adapter for in-car power, there's also an SD memory card expansion slot for use with other Garmin MapSource mapping products. The unit is secured by a suction-mount cradle that fastens to the windshield, allowing for easy portability between vehicles. You can even customize the c340's appearance with optional colored faceplates that suit your style. While the c340 has an internal GPS antenna, it also has an MCX-type connector for hooking up an optional external GPS antenna.
Finding your way with the c340 starts with inputting a location on the touch screen. Next, the unit's text-to-speech feature speaks to you just like a back seat driver, telling you the names of streets and when to turn and in what direction. And if you happen to miss a turn--don't worry, the c340 automatically calculates a new route to your destination. Audible and visual navigation instructions and warnings help you navigate more quickly while keeping your eyes on the road. You can also choose between a 3D mapping perspective or 2D overhead view.
The c340 offers clear, easy-to-read 3D directions. |
Another time- and frustration-saving feature of the c340 is the database of preloaded maps and points of interest. Gone are the days of uploading partial maps from your computer to your GPS device: the c340 has them all built in. The unit comes preloaded with Garmin's highly detailed City Select NT street data of the entire United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Finding points of interest along your route is made easy with the c340's huge built-in database of nearly six million hotels, restaurants, gas stations, ATMs, and attractions. Garmin has also made it easy for users to upload custom points of interest--now you can add school zones or safety cameras to your database. You can even turn on a proximity alert to notify you of upcoming custom points of interest.
Garmin really kicks the power of the c340 up a notch with the addition of real-time traffic information. This optional service will display congested areas on a color-coded map, allowing you to avoid traffic by simply pushing a button that calculates a new route. All this wizardry is made possible by the new Garmin GTM 10 receiver that connects to the c340 and other select Garmin products. Note that while the GTM 10 receives digital data from specific FM broadcast stations in select major metro areas throughout the United States and Europe, note that these traffic services are available only in select cities where coverage exists. The service requires the GTM 10 FM TMC traffic receiver and, in some cases, a subscription to enable these traffic capabilities.
What's in the Box
StreetPilot c340 receiver with built-in antenna, dual internal speaker system for voice guidance and alerts, vehicle suction cup mount with 12-24 volt adapter, dashboard disk, USB interface cable, preloaded City Select North America NT database, and quick-reference guide.

Garmin Streetpilot C340.......2007-12-31
We are very pleased with this product. it is very good. Shipping was very timely.
Best Gift in 2007.......2007-12-31
What to buy my spouse? We're pretty plain people, trying to get our last child safely off to college and pretty much think we have everything important in life. But my love still likes gifts! I tend to be practical and somewhat like buying things that I might like to use but am too proud to buy for myself.
Still, no frills required but darn, it took hours of studying to find the right model after deciding what to buy! So-o-o I bought the Garmin 340. Unlike last year's iPod Nano (aforementioned child uses it for the parent) this baby was hooked up and ready to go instantly! A 600 mile trip later, I've been declared brilliant!
Didn't need the MP3, FM, traffic-stuff ----just plain, easy to read, intuitive, speaks to you device ---- and gets away with telling you where to go! Okay, so it only tells you how to get there.
We love it!
Great !.......2007-12-31
As a newcomer to town and being seriously directionally challenged, this StreetPilot is not only a time saver, but it eliminates the stress of getting lost. The mapping and voice directional are very clear, and a pleasure to use.
Everything you could want in a GPS.......2007-12-31
I've had my c340 for almost two years and I'd hate to be without it. It's saved me so many hours of trying to find my destination (and I'm good at reading and using maps). In addition to the high quality of the unit, I'll add that Garmin provides supurb support - I'll be a loyal Garmin customer for any GPS I purchase. I've bought two more of these for gifts.
Garmin 340c.......2007-12-31
Awesome... Little GPS.. How did I go places without it....Small, yet big enough... You will love it...

Great purchase.......2007-12-31
I am happy with my purchase and the time in which it was shipped. Thanks!
4GB...what's not to like?.......2007-12-31
This is 4GB of traveling bliss. I'm a college student and this will keep pretty much everything from my courses. If you're looking for an affordable mass storage drive, you will not be disappointed with this.
Great data stick.......2007-12-30
I love this thing, by far the best thing you can buy for mobile memory.
Affordable, and good quality item........2007-12-30
I've own at least 6 flash drives, and this is the one with the best quality/price relation of them all. The only thing I complain about it, it's the cap, but you can get used to the way it works.
Great Little Drive.......2007-12-27
This is a nice 4 GB drive, especially for the price. It comes clean, no preloaded crapware. It seems very sturdy and the purple and white color scheme is quite appealing. I dinged by one star because the cap is not attached to the drive. It will attach to the back when you have it plugged in (but not well if you attach the included string to the lanyard), but this is still a recipe for losing the cap eventually. That might just be me, though--if that doesn't bother you, this is the drive to buy.

Customer Reviews:
It does the same job as the 49$ -100$ cables at Best buy........2007-12-28
+ Digital is digital. Signal is 0 and 1's. Cables and printer inks are one the worst price gouging products today. If you do not believe, buy this and buy some expensive Monster Cables. Compare and see if you can tell the difference. If you can see any difference at all...ask yourself, is the difference worth the extra money???
Good Cable - NOT 6FT.......2007-12-28
The quality of the cable is good and item performs as described. However if you need the full 6FT this will not work. Item is about 3 inches short.
Good price.......2007-12-26
Good price for these cables. Work perfect, no problems, use on my 42" lcd 1080p.
Use for HDMI HDTV and Toshiba HDTV disc player.......2007-12-24
Cables worked fine and the TV images and sound are great. All is routed througha Sony ES STR-DA5200ES receiver back to the Mitsubishi 73" 1080P DLP TV.
Works excellently.......2007-12-24
Works as described. I cannot figure out why people would pay as much as $100 for a similar cable! Enjoy this item!

Customer Reviews:
Excellent Camera.......2007-12-31
I just returned from a photo shoot at the beach using my new Canon PowerShot SD950IS (with a SanDisk 2GB Extreme III SD card), and my Canon Digital Rebel XTi 10.1 MP SLR camera (with a SanDisk 2GB Ultra II CF card) with a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM lens. I had each camera set to the maximum resolution, and took a number of "identical" pictures with each camera. I fully expected the Digital Rebel (2 lbs, 15 oz) to outperform the SD950IS (6.5 oz). To my amazement, the result was just the opposite. The detail, sharpness, clarity and color in the photos taken with the SD950IS were noticeably better. I don't intend to ditch the Digital Rebel, but will definitely feel that I'm not compromising on quality when I leave the bulk behind and travel with the SD950IS.
fantastic!.......2007-12-31
I've had a dozen different digital cameras from vivitar to casio, sony and cannons alike. this camera however, offers the mega pixels of a DSLR on a point and shoot. The lcd is big, bright and beautiful and it has a viewfinder as well and offers tons of little tricks. i love it!
Simply the BEST camera you can get! It really is THAT good........2007-12-31
This is one of the nicest, fastest, well built cameras I have ever seen.
Startup times are near instant, from the push of the power button you will be ready to snap.
Menus are well-designed and laid out in a logical, easy to use setup.
Image quality is fantastic. The face detection feature works as described, and colors are clear and vibrant.
Overall, this is one of the best cameras.
Definitely a BUY!
good pictures flimsy construction.......2007-12-30
I have found the camera takes good pictures but paying extra money for the titanium construction is a joke. the titanium is very thin and almost like plastic. i carry tha camera in my pocket and it has scratches near the battery cover. also the battery cover doesnt lock shut. most times when i pull it out of my pocket the cover pops open. i put a thin piece of duct tape over the cover to keep it shut.
my son carries a olympus stylus 770sw. pictures aren't quite as good but built like a tank. waterproof and shockproof. if you use occasionally canon is fine. for everyday use olympus much more durable
Best PowerShot Yet! Highly Recommended!.......2007-12-30
This is my second PowerShot in the series. I loved my SD900, but it didn't have Image Stabilization. It makes a huge difference on this current camera and the pictures look much better. I think the colors are a bit more vibrant too. I bought it as my "carry camera" when I don't want to lug around my Rebel XT. Nice small camera. Fits well in my shirt pocket. Very sturdy feel and construction. May be too small for people with big hands. Picture quality is great.
The SD950IS looks almost identical to the earlier models and shares the nice sturdy, high-quality feel that has made these cameras quite popular.
I had a great time with the earlier version of this camera on my trip to Disney World. Was able to tweak the ISO settings to take pictures w/o flash in very dim areas. ISO 3200 mode was quite fun to play with. You pay a price for the noise introduced in the pictures, but it's still a clear picture where you may not normally be able to take one. At normal ISO settings, the pictures are clear with vibrant colors. The Image stabilization on the SD950IS should make for even more flexibility and fun.
I've also been impressed by the movie mode on this camera and it's ability to make decent (not fantastic) movies in fairly low light.
Like others, I wish the camera had more manual control, but for most purposes it's fine. When I need more control, I can use my Rebel XT. Suggest you buy at least a 2GB SD card. I also recommend Lowepro Ridge 10 (Arctic Blue) as a small camera case.

Customer Reviews:
Mostly Canon Issues with the card.......2007-12-13
Mostly Canon with the memory access problems.
Anyway for cards this large one should not continously delete as not deleating will force use of the rest of the memory space. Full delete for large shoots, raw formats, and trips.
Flash memory does have a FINITE number of times the cells can be modified.
Resulting in corrupted data hard errors.
Can't beat the prce.......2007-12-11
You cannot beat this deal for the price of memory storage. The card has worked flawlessly for me and the price is incredible.
Satisfied.......2007-12-11
I had no problems. Quick delivery. Product works. What else can you ask for?
So far so good.......2007-12-09
So far this has been a great card for me. I shoot in RAW and can cram like 200 shots onto the card. It is a tad slower than my Extreme III cards, but since it cost less, I am OK with that.
Perfect memory card for serious digital photographers.......2007-11-29
I love this 4 GB card. I use it in my 10.1MP digital camera (Canon XTi EOS 400D). The CF card's high capacity and speed make taking lots of high-resolution pictures a true joy. (I photograph using RAW mode.) Highly recommended.

Meets or Exceeds Expectations.......2007-12-31
This camera is at the nexus of portability and image quality. A DSLR would have been fantastic but of course they're quite expensive. saying nothing about their portability. A bridge camera would be a good intermediate step but again, they don't exactly slip into one's pocket. The SD870 is small enough to throw in a pocket (or purse, i'm sure) and takes a quality image. The movie mode has some fun extras (time lapse, color accent) as well. The metal body exudes quality construction and the LCD on the back is nearly gigantic. It's worth the extra money over the SD1000. A fine step before graduating to a bridge camera.
Canon wins again.......2007-12-31
People who want a true pocket camera cannot go wrong with the 870IS. The best features of the camera are:
1)Image Stabilization-do not get a camera without this feature-it is the best innovation in photography since the digital camera itself.
2)8.1 Megapixels - Provides sharp images which look great on a large monitor or over-size prints (up to 16x22).
3)Great picture quality-colors very true-to-life.
4)LARGE 3 inch LCD
5)Stylish design fits into shirtpocket.
6)The 28 MM wide-angle lens is more useful than a 10X optical zoom. Yes, there are many instances where optical zoom is desired, BUT more often than not, WIDE-ANGLE is the way to go.
I have seen some reviews decrying the lack of a viewfinder and manual exposure controls. That's like saying a Toyota Prius lacks the power of a Corvette and the room of a Ford Expedition!
No viewfinder-who cares, who uses one any longer, especially with the gorgeous 3 inch LCD. As far as manual exposure controls, I guarantee you virtually NO ONE who purchases a camera like this cares one whit about that. 99% of the time, AUTO works fine. There are times, such as night or low-light shooting that you may want to use one of the special modes, but otherwise, who wants to fiddle with those? If you did, you wouldn't buy a point and shoot cam.
Remember, every camera is a compromise between cost, size, performance and complexity. Canon has hit the target of a POS that takes great pics in a compact, easy to use camera!
Great Camera.......2007-12-31
Great point and shoot camera. Good quality shots with enough extra features to keep the average photographer very happy. A bit more expensive than similar models out there but I think it is money well spent for the sleek design and ease of use. Recommended .
Canon SD870IS review.......2007-12-30
This is a very nice camera. Pictures taken in the daylight look excellent. Still have some problems with pictures taken in the dark (with the flash), but I have read some reviews about tuning the ISO to fix this. Apart from that the product is excellent.
Not satisfied.......2007-12-29
The camera looked great and I thought the quality of the pictures was alright. However, all of the pictures that I took of a Christmas party suddenly disapeared from the card without my doing anything I lost over 30 picures. I am returning the camera to JR Music where Amazon shipped it from. Not too happy with JR's return handling. I would not purchase anything else from Amazon that is not coming directly from them.

Great Buy.......2007-12-20
I purchased this cable to hook my laptop up to a 26" 720p HDTV, and it serves its purpose ideally. The picture quality is pristine and works beautifully for watching standard or HD movies and can crank out 1080p as well. The price was also easy to swallow. If this cable fits your needs, buy it!
Great product, wonderful supplier.......2007-12-17
This allowed me to use my HD (1080i) TV as a pc monitor connecting to one of the HDMI ports on my TV to the pc with a dvi video card. Having a 52 inch monitor is pretty cool. The TV was not as forgiving of the video mode selected as 'normal' pc monitors, but when I finally chose a compatible mode on the PC everything worked like a breeze.
Good product, good vendor service........2007-11-16
The product works great. It was as advertised. This was my first use of Cables Unlimited as a vendor. I was very satisfied with their service.
works great, but what version?.......2007-11-09
The cable works great, and it's sooo cheap. I only wish I knew if it was hdmi v1.3.
Decent cable at a good price.......2007-11-03
Works fine between my computer and digital lcd monitor. The computer has hdmi and the monitor had dvi-d.
