Awesome!.......2007-12-13
I don't know much about audio, but these are some of the better sounding headphones I have heard! I couldn't tell much of a difference between these and my friends $170 BOSE headphones. I do agree that they are kind of tight, I pretty much fixed that though by pulling them apart a little bit. It helped them fit a little more comfortably. Long cord is obnoxious for my use, but someday it might come in handy who knows. Overall well worth my money!
Excellent headphones.......2007-10-17
The headphones are excellent and perform perfectly. The ONLY negative is that the "springiness" or "spring strength" of the band to which the phones are attached is too tight, and as a result presses the head more tightly than is desired. The customer suggestion here would be "Try to see if there is an ADJUSTABLE springiness possible, as opposed to a FIXED spring strength for that band."
Great Cans...!.......2007-06-24
These are great headphones, with good sound balance in the bass, smooth, and with an overall warm character. The nine foot cord is a plus. However I wish I'd known about Sennheiser HD 435 which has a cord which is detachable and easy to replace - great because that's usually the first thing to fail on headphones- and has a volume control feature on the cord. But I'm satisfied well enough with this one.
tight on the ears.......2007-03-16
The sound is great, as expected. But why are the earcups so small and uncomfortable?
Good for the price.......2007-03-13
These headphones are pretty good for the money ($49.99). Not as great as the Bose, but then they are 1/6 the price! The sound is great and they muffle a lot of outside noise so you can really listen to music or audiobooks with no distractions. The only thing that I don't like about them is how tight they are. After a few minutes they hurt my ears because they squeeze so tight. The temporary solution is to stretch them a little bit on a soccerball or something. After a while they go back to being tight though, so I don't know if there is a permanent solution or not. If I had the extra money I'd go with the Bose QC2 headphones, but since I don't these will have to do! Overall I'd recommend these headphones and I'd buy them again.

Good to keep ambient noise out.......2005-05-03
I purchased these a couple of years ago to carry around in my backpack and use when working on my computer at cafes. The thing I really like about these headphones is that they fold _flat_. Unlike other folding headphones which fold up into some sort of ball that never fit right in my packs, the ear pieces pivot 90 degrees and fold into the headband (don't worry about folding the headband) and they fit flat in your pack like a small book.
As far as their musical ability, I've been very satisfied (though I am not a musical expert and am quite happy listening to most of my mp3's at 128 bitrate). These headphones keep enough of the ambient noise out that I can concentrat on what I'm doing, but they're loose enough that I can just hit the mute key and converse with someone at a normal volume w/o having to remove the headphones. I am also quite happy keeping these things on for hours at a time w/o my earlobes going numb (and I'm 6'2" and don't have a small head).
I have very recently finally worn down one of the pivot mechanisms so they actually broke, but that's after 2+ years of abuse of being shoved into my backpack and biked many miles in the midwest.
If you are looking for a comfortable pair of "supra-aural" headphones that fold flat for portability, can stand up to the normal wear-and-tear of commuting, keep out the majority of ambient cafe noise and produce nice sound, give these a go.
Why did I give these a 4 instead of a 5? I can't justify giving a 5 to a sub-$20 pair of headphones, though these are certainly on the upper scale of my "4" range.
Comfortable with good sound.......2004-05-31
I've used these headphones for about 6 months now and I like them very much. They are easy to carry around, as they fold into a neat package. The earpieces swivel in two planes, so it is easy to find a comfortable position for them on my head. The padding is soft - extended wearing does not hurt my ears. The 4 foot long cord is short, so it does not catch on arms or furniture! I have another pair of headphones with a 6' cord, and it is a nuisance on most occasions. The only negative that I can think of is that the seal that the earpieces make with my head does not allow any air to circulate around the ears - they get quite hot after a while.
After all that, what about the sound? I think that it is excellent. I listen mainly to mp3 music files and watch mainly movie and music DVDs - a range in quality. To my ears, the sound from these headphones is bright and clear, with good bass and treble responses. They are not as good as my Sennheiser PX200s, but the Jensens are considerably cheaper. I have not regretted buying them for a minute!
Uncomfortable, hollow sound.......2003-02-28
I bought these because of the folding feature they offer. They are about the samller over ear headphones available because they fold, but beyond that they have almost nothing to offer over similarly priced headphones. They're very uncomfortable; they fit on your ear instead of over them which becomes extraordinarily uncomfortable after only a half hour with them on. In addition, they make my ears sweat whereas other closed ear headphones do not. All of this would be tolerable if they produced decent sound, but they do not. Get the Koss PortaPro instead and you won't be sorry.
Relief is always welcome.......2003-02-20
I have fairly large ears - most headphones hurt like crazy after a short while. These Jensens are a definite physical relief, and they seem to sound quite nice as well. The most amusing thing I find about this heavily music-oriented product is its capability to fully entertain without any music: they could serve as transformer toys for children, or as an exotic spaceship model for individuals who collect various miniature spacecraft. I wouldn't be suprised if somebody manages to drive this thing to work.
I love the feel, sound quality great, could be better?.......2003-01-20
Very comfy headphones, I love the fit. The folding feature's awesome as well. I wonder though if perhaps the sound could be a little clearer? However, I didn't have the $ for BOSE and these are very nice and I'm very happy.

For use with portable or home audio systems, these stylish headphones sound as good as they look. The many features, combined with comfort and portability are what makes these digital stereo headphones stand apart from the rest. Features include swivel earcups for easy portability, single-entry cord, volume control with mute, a 40mm element for enhanced sound quality and a comfortable rubber headband.
Amazon.com Review
Jensen's JM10 stereo headphones provide convenience, durability, and comfort at an affordable price--but, like most portable equipment, they lack excellence in sound quality.
Using large, 40mm elements (speaker drivers); a strong and flexible rubber headband; and stylish, pivoting earcups, the lightweight JM10s will fit just about any head and rest easily against your ears. The compact design lets you stash them in a pocket or briefcase without risk of breakage. A single wire from the left earcup alleviates wire-knotting, a common flaw in designs where each earphone is separately wired. A clippable level-control mechanism (up, down, or off) frees you from needing immediate access to your listening device, letting you tuck your portable cassette, MiniDisc, CD, or MP3 player into a backpack, purse, or pocket. An included 1/4-inch adapter fosters listening from component audio sources such as integrated amplifiers, CD players, and some DVD machines.
We found the sound of the JM10s to be mellow and unfatiguing, though these characteristics result in part from a limited frequency range and a pronounced boost in the upper-bass region. If you're tired of tiny, tinny headphones, and are seeking an easy, go-anywhere headset that won't disintegrate midway through your next plane flight, the JM10s will serve you just fine.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- Durable and flexible headband
- Well-designed volume control

NOW I'M KINDA P!SSED OFF!!!.......2005-03-11
I AM REALLY UPSET WITH THESE. NOTHING REALLY ON THESE HEADPHONES ARE PROS. THEY ARE MOSTLY ALL CONS
Pros:
- Volume remote...which doesn't even help peak volume anyway, so this really isn't a pro.
Cons:
- These are some of the most QUIET HEADPHONES I'VE EVER USED IN ANY OF MY PLAYERS! The impedance is 32 ohms, one of the worst impedances you can get.
- There is SMALL BASS ON THESE! The bass is completely bloated and tinny.
- The treble is IN A TUNNEL??? Honestly, is there a long tube in between these.
- These have HORRIBLE COMFORT. The rubber headband makes them extremely oversized.
- These are NOT DURABLE! Every single pair of these broke in the same space, with good care. The left side of the earcup, which features the right side's cord.
- If there not durable, they are NOT PORTABLE EITHER. Sure, they fold up, but that's all the portability you'll get out of them. They break, one in my backpack, one putting them on the way I always do, the headband on my head, and the speakers correctly on the ear.
SO YEAH! I'M KINDA MAD, EVEN THOUGH I'M GETTING MY $$ BACK. THE FACT THAT THESE HEADPHONES HAVE BAD SOUND, COMFORT, DURABILITY, AND PORTABILITY, WHY ON EARTH WOULD I GIVE THESE A GOOD RATING??? THEY ARE WASTING ABOUT A WEEK OF MY LIFE. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY FROM JENSEN.
Big Let Down.......2002-11-14
I was looking forward to getting new headphones, but I wish I'd either spent more money on a better pair or less money for something that was equally disappointing.
First of all, they were too big for my head. The minimum adjustment holds the speakers centered on my earlobe. If you have a smaller head (can wear kid-sized glasses for example), I suggest you look elsewhere.
The second disappointment was in the extra volume control. I assumed that I could get louder sound with two volume controls (the one on the headphones and the one on the CD player). Actually, the volume ended up being less than what I got out of my [...] headphones from Walgreens.
On the plus side, the swivel cups make them easier to carry around, and I don't have to be as careful when storing them because I don't worry about breaking off the speakers.
Great Sound, Great Quality.......2001-09-06
I bought this because I needed good phones without the extra bulk. They're really lightweight, but not flimsy. They have very good sound quality. I really like the volume control on the headphones themselves. It gives me the extra level of control. All in all, a really good bang for your buck.
These headphones fold FLAT and fit in my briefcase.......2001-04-12
I can't understand how Jensen delivers such a high qualityproduct for just a low price. The bass is most impressive, with the right amount of thump without overpowering other sounds. The earpads are comfortable enough for extended listening, and the adjustable headband is nice and substantial - not one of those thin metal bands you usually find on "budget" headphones. The long single cord is another plus - much more comfortable and convenient than headphones that have an under-chin yolk style cord. Volume control is also conveniently placed. I definitely don't feel like I'm compromising on sound quality when I listen to my favorite CDs on these headphones.
Who could have guessed these would be so good for the price?.......2001-04-12
Jensen JM10 Anonymous Review I love these headphones!! The easy access volume control is right where I need it and I can turn it ON and OFF whenever I need to. They are a great value! The headphones stay where they are supposed to and fit my head great. The sound quality is clear and crisp. The single cord attached makes it feel as if your not wearing headphones at all. I would recommend it to all my friends.
