Amazing Headphones``````````````````````````````.......2007-12-20
These are my second set of Shure headphones and I was greatly pleased with my first pair but they broke at fault of myself. I got these headphones and what pleased as soon as I opened the packaging. They look and sound great. Once you get them set right in your ear, they have a great balance of highs, mids, and lows. I have recommended these headphones to many of my friends already.
Great Earphones for the price.......2007-12-16
I bought the earphones for my Ipod because the Ipod earphones just didn't fit well in my ears. And they kept falling out. I did think twice about spending $99 on earphones but I have found that they are well worth the money. It does take a little time to get the correct fit. But when you do they are GREAT. I saw a review on Amazon saying that they still didn't know if they are noise canceling. No they are NOT noise canceling. They are noise isolating. Because how they fit in your ear, the only thing you are going to hear is the music coming from your earphones. I was recently on a 2 hour flight from Denver to SF and a baby was crying (screaming) for 2 hours.... and I never heard a thing. Oh, and I bought a pair for my girlfriend so they will not fall during her workouts.
My girlfriend doesn't care for the length of the cord. It's longer than most. Doesn't bother me. Forget the Bose earphones... get Shure!
good quality, but less fine design.......2007-12-03
Shure does make very good earphones technicalwise. Its sound isolation and quality are superior.
However, I have to say, compared to other earphones, this one lacks fine design at its price. For example, the string is very thicker and stiffer than other ones which make it not only less stylish but also hard to keep it in a small pocket.
The way to wear it may not be too comfortable for people who wear glasses, because you have to wire the string around your ear.
break-in & burn-in.......2007-12-01
All QUALITY components need a break-in / burn-in time before they will sound their best.
I Bought a set of $450.00 AGK headphones a while back and at first I thought I made a bad choice.
So I just plugged them and played them for about 20 hrs @ 1/2 volume and then listened to them. ( BIG Difference.)
Same thing when I got my Martin Logan ( Clarity ) electroststic speakers $2,800 a pair.
So bang on them and then give your opinion.
And never skimp on the cost of your speakers!!
P.S. all quality components will need a warm up time of at least 20/30 minutes after sitting for any time to sound there best.

Not worth it! Falls out of your ear..........2007-10-17
This item is a disappointment to me. The plugs need to fit perfectly or else they will fall out of your ear. The manufacturer suggests you wrap the wire around your ear. This is very uncomfortable and if the cord gets caught on something it will pull my ear off. They sound good but not great. I wish I bought these in a retail store so I could return them easier, but I guess I'm stuck with them now. I suggest you pass on these.

Customer Reviews:
Not an ideal earphone. Very overpriced.......2007-10-11
I bought them and regretted that. Even though the sound quality was excellent it is very uncomfortable siting in the ear. I tried to use them when I'm doing my regular jogging in the evenings and it didn't stay in my ear and every other minute they were falling off out of my ears. I tried all pads provided in the package, didn't help.
Maybe I have strange ears.......2007-10-10
After thoroughly researching various headphones online, these seemed to be exactly what I wanted: good sound quality with external sound reduction. The main attractive feature of these was that batteries weren't required for the sound reduction.
Out of about 10 fittings that were sent with these headphones only about 2 fit my ear. One of them hurt my ears because it caused the headphone to fit very snuggly; this ended up yielding mediocre sound reduction when they were jammed in, but while I rode the bus they kept slipping out and I had to refit them in my ears every few minutes.
As for the other fit, it worked okay but the sound reduction wasn't very good at all, at least it didn't hurt my ear; slippage was also a problem (WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLY ANNOYING).
The overall sound quality of these headphones was good, but not nearly what I was expecting for the price. Next time I buy headphones there is no way I'm going in-ear. If you do decide to go with in ear, buy some sub-$30 headphones and don't waste your money on these.
Awesome Sound.......2007-09-21
Great product, awesome performance.
The best thing is that the earphones comes with more than 5 pairs of isolating rubbers and silicones
well worth the dough.......2007-09-20
love 'em. crystal clear audio. flat response is a little less bass-y then i'm used to but a small tweak to my muvo eq fixed that quick. heavy duty durable cord is a plus along with the 2yr warranty(!!). fit perfect in my ear canal with the default sleeves and they don't slip for me as some had reported. of course the isolating effect also amplifies cord rubbing noise but a quick tuck solves that small woe. well worth the trade off for the huge reduction in background noise. a gem for a long commute.
Excellent $50 UPGRADE from Shure E3.......2007-09-12
I have had a pair E3-c earphones for 2 years. I have had these E4-n's for approx 3 weeks.
(see my review for specifics on the E3's)
I won't comment on the basics of these earphones. Others have done an excellent job of that. I will try to give my impressions of these earphones vs E3C's. Often that is the difficult decision: How much more $$ to spend for the next model up the line.
First off, I got the E4-n's at a discount here at Amazon. I probably would never have paid full price for them.
Secondly, I appreciate good sound. I have planned to upgrade the bitrate of my itunes collection for a while. The advent of the new IPOD CLASSIC with its larger capacity, was too tempting to avoid.
For the two weeks I listened to my lower bitrate (128-256) collection with the E-4's. I noticed a slightly enlarged bass response and noticeable clarity. But, no big thing. Then I got the new ipod and re-uploaded some CDs at a higher bitrate (usually 320, though some up as high as 900). I listened again. VERY NICE!
The bass response is still somewhat modest but the clarity is such that one has to smile. (this has come to be an important listener response)
Noticeably improved imaging. You can hear individual bass strings, etc.
I put E3's on again. They sound 'duller' -smile gone.
Now I can actually think of listening to classic jazz and classical music on my ipod. I'm happy. I'll use the E3's with my ipod shuffle while doing yard work and athletic activities.
I can easily believe the the Shure 500's, $530's, and E5's are wonderful but, they are a BIG jump in $$($500, $400, and $350 respectively). $180 for the E4's is money well spent. It is worth more than the $50 jump from the E3's. Of course I realize that pricing is dynamic but, I hope this helps.
I also hope the quality of these phones is better than my previous E3 experiences and I hope Shure's customer service remains excellent.

Amazon.com Product Description
The Shure SE530PTH Sound Isolating Earphones with Push-To-Hear Control marks the bridge from the classic E Series line, to the new line of Sound Isolating Earphones from Shure. Evolved from personal monitor technology road-tested by professional musicians, and fine-tuned by Shure engineers, the SE530PTH earphones deliver an unparalleled acoustic accuracy rivaled only by live performances.
The Shure SE530PTH utilize three balanced armature drivers, one dedicated tweeter, and dual woofers, to bring you a listening experience that has been optimized for high-quality recordings and lossless formats. And with integrated passive crossovers that ensure high and low frequencies remain distinct and defined, you get an incredibly wide and detailed sound stage, distinguished by precision highs and robust bass. What's more, the SE530PTH includes sound isolating sleeves that block over 90-percent of ambient noise and provide a customized fit. Combined with a low-profile ergonomic design and modular cable options, this helps ensure interruptions from the outside world are minimized so you can focus on your musical passion. Not only are these earphones comfortable and audibly engaging, but the innovative triple driver configuration is a first in class for universal fit, sound isolating earphones.
For occasions when you must tear yourself away from the music, the SE530PTH includes an innovative Push-To-Hear control. A first for sound isolating earphones, the detachable Push-To-Hear control allows you to activate the VoicePort microphone and adjust levels of external sound for clarity. Similar to the microphones used in Shure QuietSpot cellular headsets, the VoicePort microphone is tuned to pick up the human voice, ensuring maximum intelligibility. Ideal for brief conversations without removing your earphones, the Push-to-Hear switch allows you to quickly and conveniently alternate between your music and your connection to the outside world.
Shure's SE530PTH comes with a premium fit kit that includes everything you need to get the most out of your new earphones. Because every ear is different, this kit includes three sizes: small, medium and large of both the flex and the black foam sleeves, as well as a pair of universal-fit triple-flange sleeves. These allow you to experiment with the size and style that creates the best fit for your ears, in order to provide a good seal for optimized sound isolation and bass response, as well as maximum comfort during extended wear. These earphones also come with a detachable cable solution that has been designed based on extensive user feedback to enable unmatched personal customization. The two included modular cables provided give you the option between a three-foot and a nine-foot option, so you can tailor your experience depending on your activity and application.
The SE530PTH earphones feature a sensitivity of 119 dB SPL/mW, an impedance of 36 ohms, and a frequency range of 18 Hz to 19 kHz. These earphones include a 0.25-inch adapter that allows you to use them with home stereos and other devices with 0.25-inch jacks instead of 3.5-millimeter jacks. The SE530PTH package also includes a carrying case as a convenient, tangle-free storage solution, and a level attenuator that allows for comfortable listening from any high-output audio source. What's more, they even include an airline adapter that optimizes compatibility with European airplane armrests for overseas travel. The Shure SE530PTH earphones come with a cable length of 18 inches, and a manufacturer's limited two-year warranty.

Customer Reviews:
Awe Inspiring.......2007-12-24
Let's face it, if you're considering spending around 500 bucks on a pair of earphones you're someone who's obsessive about their music. You're the hard to please type not easily impressed by anything less than seriously impressive. Well, be assured that these tiny miracles of science are indeed impressive, seriously.
The most notable feature of the Shure SE530s is their ability to convey a multi-layered sound stage with absolute precision. Music you've heard over and over again takes on new life with an incredible sense of clarity that is always lucid and rich and never confused or entangled no matter what you throw at them. Where they really shine, though, is with lossless or uncompressed digital recordings or mp3s with a high compression rate. With recordings of this quality, the `530s are adept at producing an extraordinary dynamic range with a sense of magnificence that you didn't know your ears were capable of decoding. For example, the expertly mastered "Teardrop" by Massive Attack was delivered with insanely crisp and clear highs, a deep, solid bass and with the placement of Liz Fraser's spine-chilling lyrics with meticulous precision. My much older reference track, "Golden Brown" by The Stranglers was delivered with an equally exciting presentation whilst remaining true to the fidelity of the original recording.
Sparknotes.com describes an epiphany as "a sudden, powerful, and often spiritual or life changing realization that a character experiences in an otherwise ordinary moment." That's what happened to me when I listened to The Beloved's "The Sun Rising" on my `530s.
For those new to "shove-right-into-the-ear-canal" type earphones the `530s may take a few goes at experimenting with the different types and sizes of sleeves supplied in order to achieve the perfect fit necessary for them to perform (no seal = no bass). But once you've found your "sweet-spot" you might just find yourself ignoring everybody you know for the foreseeable future or taking your dog out for a walk several hours a day more than he's used to.
Awesome -- No Kidding.......2007-12-22
I just got the SE530 Push-to-hear headphones as a Christmas present to myself. I've looked at these things longingly for some time, but I was always dissuaded by the price. I had Shure E4s, which are pretty good. I figured, how much better can the SE530s be? Man oh man. These puppies are mind-blowing. Full bass, crisp highs, and clean, clean sound. I've had them on all day, listening to my Playlists as if hearing them for the first time. They fit good, and even when I blast the volume (which I don't because full volume is MUCH MUCH louder on these than on the E4s) no one can hear what I'm listening to.
Here's how I justified spending the money on these things. I used to save my paper route and lawn mowing money to buy great speakers for my stereo -- which cost a lot more than these headphones. But today, I get my music almost exclusively on my iPod. The SE530s are just like getting great speakers. These things are totally worth it. If you have the cash -- don't hesitate. They are AWESOME.
It's really expensive but you get what you pay for.......2007-12-11
The SE530's main flaw is that with its starting $500 price tag, it is priced many times higher than common consumer earphones. Another flaw is that given its "background noise isolation" premise of these earphones, it may be uncomfortable for first-timers, and also you have to clean the earphones often to ensure longetivity of the product.
To compensate for such discomfort first-timers may experience, you have plenty of earphone fit options. The package offers generous fit options, such as foam, flex, and even 3-flange sleeves.
You also have an attenuator and an airline adapter you can also use when you use air flights often--a light alternative to common noise-cancellation earphones.
However, the real reason why you are going to be paying more than "the common earbuds" is because given Shure's close-to-90-year audio experience coupled with a steadily approaching 20-year-earphone expertise, complex balance armature with environmentally-friendly noise isolation is deployed. Each side has three low-mass, high-energy balanced armatures of Neodymium--one for highs, one for mids, and one for low frequencies coupled together with an internal vent for efficient air movement, for optimum listening at low volume levels. The SE530 can be used for a wide range of audio devices, such as personal monitors and even gaming systems. While the SE530 was meant to be used by musicians, it can be used for personal audio entertainment as well.
With the generous sound detail more than making up for such a high price tag, it is obvious that you should get the PTH version of this, since it will also contain a device which helps you get into a conversation without having to remove the earphones. The sad part is that you have to pay a lot, but the best part and the bottom line is that your ears will get what you pay for with the SE530.
Some outlets let you test out the SE530, so it's up to your ears to determine if the sound quality is worth the high price tag.
Tremendous.......2007-12-03
These arrived today.. What can I say.. I never write reviews but these have set a precedent..
I first got a pair of Shure e2c's a couple of years ago. I loved them. Great for the office because no matter how loud you play them they dont annoy anyone around you.. Loud to you. Quiet to everyone else.. Nearly silent..
The e2c's were destroyed in the buncefield oil depot explosion.. google it if interested.. I rewarded myself with the Shure e3c's. They rocked... More than the e2c's.. I was hooked.. I broke them.. I wasnt happy with myself...
I had a decision to make.. Do I buy the e3c's again.. or do I upgrade... Being a man of extravagant tastes the choice was simple... I got the Shure SE530's with the PTH thingy..
By god I never thought I'd enjoy deafening myself so much... They always say 'you'll hear things in your music you never heard before'. I read a lot of reviews.. They weren't lying.. I've turned the volume down a few times because I've heard things that I never expected to hear.. Glorious. Turn them up and you will be mesmerized.
The closest analogy is this. If you've ever watched the file 'Sunshine' where they become fascinated with the sun.. To the point where they want to be exposed to it even though its killing them... These headphones are like that.. You just want to turn them up. and UP. AND UP.. They sing. They resonate. They totally and utterly rock... They're dangerously good..
These earphones are magnificent..
Shure Master.......2007-11-22
I have owned a lot of headphones, such as Etymotic ETY8 and Ultimate Ears 10.0 and they seem like a joke compared to the Shure SE530's. If you hate that buzzing sound when you listen to your classical music then these headphones will make you cry, if you are more subdued and like dark music with a lot of base then these headphones are right for you. They cost a lot of money, but they are worth it for any type of music.
Average customer rating:
- Worth the $$
- Good sound, noise reduction, and portability - but ultimately frustrating
- For motorcycle use
- Shure--great earphones, great service

Product Description
Originally developed for professional musicians, the E3c combines WideBand MicroDriver technology with a sound isolating design to deliver rich, detailed sound with improved high end while blocking outside noise - ideal for optimizing your listening experience with portable MP3, DVD, and CD players as well as all other audio sources. The E3c's in ear design works like an earplug to block background noise naturally. This enables you to listen comfortably at lower volumes-even in loud environments. And unlike bulky headphones utilizing active noise cancellation technology, no artifacts are introduced into your listening experience. Sound isolating earphones are also much smaller and don't require batteries. The E3c's speakers are constructed with studio-grade components to produce exceptional audio clarity, delivering detailed highs and enhanced bass that allows you to hear parts of your music you've never heard before.Because every ear is different, E3c Earphones come with a pair of disposable Foam Sleeves, three pairs (small, medium, large) of Flex Sleeves, and three pairs of Soft Flex Sleeves (small, medium, large) to ensure the ideal personalized fit.
Customer Reviews:
Worth the $$.......2007-10-28
Well worth the money. Great clean sound, nice base. Excellent addition to my iPod. Blocks noise very well. And comfortable, I wear mine about 4 hours a day with little ear fatigue. I was hesitant spending this much for a pair of earphones, but glad I did. These are so nice I even use them to edit video/audio on my computer. I also like the included carrying case, nice protection for this investment.
Good sound, noise reduction, and portability - but ultimately frustrating.......2007-09-18
On my second trip to Europe in 2005 I brought along my iPod Mini and a pair of Sony noise-cancelling headphones. Both helped make the almost 15 hours of plane time much easier to bear. But on my third trip this year I needed to go as light as possible. I'd upgraded to the more portable iPod Nano 4GB, and I wanted to find a quality "earphone" that would sound good, drown out the flight noise, be compact, and stay in my ears. The Sure E3c scored in three out of the four categories - but the fourth overshadowed the other three, and was ultimately a showstopper for me.
I normally don't care for earphones of any kind. It's hard to get used to having something lodged in my ear canal. However, since I was heading to Europe for a 500-mile backpacking trek, I had to pare down my load. My headphones were much too bulky and fragile to shlep along on such a trek, so I sucked it up and started researching earphones. I soon discovered that the Shure line had the most fervent devotees. Folks raved about their sound, and I liked how they rolled up into a hard zippered case not much bigger than a ping-pong ball. So, I finally settled on the E3c model - a bit spendy, but not a huge price jump from the E2c line.
I was so busy with other travel preparations that I waited until the actual plane ride before trying them out. I immediately clashed with the rubber earphone covers. None of them worked for me - the bud started sliding out of my ear canal almost immediately. After wading through a couple sizes, I gave up and turned my hopes toward the yellow spongy earplug-like covers. A bit of kneading rewarded me with a decent seal upon insertion, and I was finally able to relax for a bit and listen to my music.
As other reviewers have noted, the sound quality of the E3c line is quite good. In some ways, it was almost like listening to my old music for the first time due to the excellent crispness and clarity (although the bass is nothing to write home about). I was able to hear new details in familiar songs, thereby gaining a deeper appreciation for them. The noise reduction is also up to par, and the difference was very noticeable when I took them out of my ears - or when they fell out against my will, which was far too often.
Indeed, like a first date that starts out good but quickly goes sour, the E3c's limitations began to make themselves known. When the in-flight meal came and I started chewing, the buds quickly worked their way out of my ears - so no music to accompany my dinner. A number of times when I moved around (especially while napping) I'd tug the E3c cord, and *pop* went one or both phones out of my ear. It's annoying when Mozart is immediately replaced by engine noise and passenger conversation, particularly when you've finally managed to fall asleep. And for no apparent reason while sitting still, one or both would simply work their way loose. Finally, having to use the tiny wax cleaner to remove buildup from the sound canal was kind of gross. Despite their bulk, I began to long for my Sony headphones.
In the end, even with the portability and great sound (when I had a good ear canal seal, that is), the Shures were more frustrating than pleasurable. I got tired of reinserting them over and over again, not being able to listen while eating, accidently yanking them out, and having to clean them. If you don't struggle with these issues, then I recommend you get the E3c's because of their fine sound, lightness, and space-saving size. As for me, I suppose I'll have to use them when portability is a must. But otherwise I'll stick with headphones.
For motorcycle use.......2007-09-10
While these are genuinely better than previous sound-isolating ear phones I have used with a full-face helmet, they still do not register much bass at anything over 40mph. It is crucial to get the correct seal. To do that, it's worthwhile to try all of the ear inserts Shure provides, and be meticulous about getting them properly established before you take off. Once underway it's all to easy to catch the cord, even on the collar of your jacket, and pull one of the ear plugs out. Then your stuck until the next opportunity to take the helmet off. If you're looking at using these on a motorbike, audio books and simple rock work reasonably well. For me, the orchestral and acoustic stuff isn't worth even taking along.
Shure--great earphones, great service.......2007-08-26
I purchased some E3's to upgrade from my E2 when I bought a new ipod. I loved the E2's and as expected the E3's are even better--with more definition at all frequencies and sound levels. The fit in the ear does have some sweet spots and Shure provides a number of ear plug options to help everyone find something they like. I have compared these earphones to my Bose Quiet Comfort headphones sitting in the rear of a jet while travelling (next to the engine). The less expensive E3 beat out the Bose headphones with better high and middle end definition and equivalent outside sound isolation. The Bose headphones have a bit better low end.. but nothing is bone shaking with earphones or headphones anyway.
As for Shure customer service--I had a suspected loose wire in one of the earplugs (used for 8 months) leading to dropouts when I would move my head. I got a return form off the Shure website--filled it out and sent it along with a copy of my receipt to Shure. Within 10 days, they had sent out a completely new pair at no charge. THAT is great service. The thing I have not told you is that despite the fact that I had a problem with the E3's, I could not live without some earplugs--so I went out and bought a pair of Shure SE420's while I was waiting for my E3 "repair". (I had already given my E2's to another friend--who says he loves them). Now I have my new E3 and the higher end SE420! The only reason that the E3 did not get a "5" is because the SE420's are definitely richer sounding--something I would never have thought possible without having both to compare directly. Can't live without em! I would recommend the entire line of Shure earphones, buying whichever one best fits your budget.
Perfect!.......2007-08-24
Just got these in the mail today and have tried all of the different sleeves. I had good results with a few of them, but when I tried the yellow foams I could not believe how good the sounds was. The sound isolation is very good and the range if great. If you have them inserted properly there is plenty of bass. I've been using them for about an hour and love the sound, comfort and isolation. Best earphones I've ever had for my ipod after trying several cheaper earbuds ($20-$40), including those that come with the ipod.
Product Description
Shure EA650 Level Attenuator reduces the level of incoming signals and allows for precise volume adjustment, minimizing background hiss. Compatible with all Shure E series and SE series of sound isolating earphones.
Customer Reviews:
attenuate and remove some hiss.......2007-08-16
I use this between my Palm PDA and my portable headphones. The output from the palm headsphone socket is pretty hissy especially with low impedance headphones. The Shure volume control doies a pretty good job at reducing the hiss - not perfect but it is enough to make an audible difference - oh and you can use it as a volume contriol as well.
This is necessary for all iPod users.......2007-05-13
Because I cannot get any iPod to have a volume low enough for my ear comfort, I use the Shure Attenuator to control the volume. They do not want it used this way, but it is a true "ear saver."
Perfect For Shure Sound Isolating Earphones.......2007-02-08
I always had problems adjusting the volume of my Shure Earphones because the dials on the players are not fine enough to get just the right level. This is the answer. I set the volume on the player and then do the fine tuning on this.
Shure EA650 Level Attenuator .......2007-01-03
This product works great; it does exacly what I hoped it would do. I travel overseas often and like to use my own headphones to listen to the inflight movies but the volume is so loud it hurts my ears. With this device I can use my own headphones and listen at a comfortable level.

Not Just for Shure.......2007-10-17
I use this for a different set of Bass Freq earbuds. Only the largest of earbuds won't fit. The take up spool inside is a nice feature.
just ok.......2007-08-29
this thing was made for shure iems. doesnt fit super.fi 5 pros. i use it for my v-moda vibes. so its just an ok case. not too big, well protected.
Nice little case, but the interior reel is annoying.......2007-08-23
This case came with my earphones - its one of my favorite storage cases - very rugged and compact. However, spooling the cord around the reel is a PITA - to fit the whole set inside, you have to nest the ear buds, plug and whatever that little do-hickey is that sits where the wires divide (can you tell I'm not a stereo expert?) It will accomodate an airplane jack adaptor, which is useful.
It would be great if the case came in different colors (no, I don't care if it matches my outfit!) It can be very hard to find when it is sitting at the bottom of a black bag! I guess I'll have to modify it somehow to make it easier to see!
Duplicate Case.......2007-08-19
I bought this case to hold and protect my Shure E4c earbuds. I did not know the E4c's came with a similarly sized round case, or I would not have purchased this one. The case that was supplied with my E4c's is one undivided space. The EA622, the same size, contains a plastic reel. The intent is for the user to wind the earpiece cord onto the reel. An opening in the center of the reel stores the earpieces. I prefer the original undivided case. I quickly coil-up my E4c around my fingers and place the headset into the original case. It takes me longer to wind my cord around the internal reel. A plastic rivet fastens the reel in the EA622 case. Works fine, if you don't mind the reel divider.

Customer Reviews:
Finally!!! No need to remove my IPod earhones anymore..........2007-11-03
This "PTH,Push To Hear Control for Shure Sound Isolating Earphones is great!! No longer do I have to say "What" when somebody addresses me while walking or conversation on an airplane. My background is radio and television broadcasting and I'm well acquainted with good sound and when I click on my PTH control I'm amazed at the clarity and sensitivity of the the response...Highly recommended!!!
Not convenient outside flights.........2007-10-08
I agree with the earlier reviewer's points:
Slightly bulky design, the battery drops off sometimes and a rather
inconvenient switch. But the microphone quality is good,
no doubt, although the isolation is not great: that is, I still
hear the music from my player when switched to the microphone mode.
The idea behind the design is to ensure
that you don't have to take off the headphones. But most of the time,
I find myself doing the following when I have to listen to an outside
conversation: pull out the PTH from the pocket, switch over to the
microphone mode, pull out the player pause it and then do the reverse all
over again. I would rather pull the headphones out and put them back in!
What would help is to have this switch also to pause the player and play back when the switch is flipped.
That I guess, would require to tie this up with particular music player.
Maybe a solution for iPods will sell.
But this was designed for use in flights when one has to
listen to short sentences and switch back the flowing music.
Too big and poor construction.......2007-09-21
This is way too big for its purpose and thus ends up adding too much bulk.
The build quality is not great. The battery door makes a poor contact and thus sometimes the controller doesn't work. Also it opens up easily and drops the battery.
Finally, the switch is very hard to move, which makes it inconvenient because sometimes is hard to activate single handedly.
Aside for that, the audio is good and it does let you peek in to exterior sounds without having to remove your headphones.
