The sleek Plantronics M110 headset for mobile and cordless phones is a nice little unit that sits comfortably even during the longest hands-free conversations. It can also provide added safety to your cellular phone calls when driving because both hands can remain on the wheel.
The M110 features a sturdy headband, padded flexible earpiece and headpiece, and a fully adjustable microphone. It required no assembly and, in our experience, was extremely versatile. The microphone can be worn with the headband on either ear, and the headband was very light and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The sound quality of the earpiece and microphone were both very clear during testing.
A noise-canceling microphone eliminates background noise on the M110, and makes your voice easily understandable to callers. There are also three levels of microphone volume, though there is no volume adjustment for the earpiece and, in our tests, we often had to ask callers to speak up.
The headset has a 4-foot cord with adjustable clothing clip to give you a wide range of motion. The M110 can be used with any cordless or cellular phone that's headset compatible and has a 2.5-millimeter jack. --Megan Dugan

This is a nice headset that will work with your cordless phone or cell phone with a jack. The only downside is there is no volume control for the earpiece as in some of their other models.

I have used many Plantronics headsets, and they are usually great. This one quit working after one week, and the seller would not respond to my emails. Amazon made good on it for me, but I ended up replacing it at Radio Shack.

I've been buying these headsets for several years, recommending them to friends and associates and now I'm buying them as gifts for the headset challenged. You know, people who literally have pains in their neck from clamping a phone between their head and shoulders.
These are wonderful headsets. I've used them with a variety of cordless and cell phones. As long as you have a 2.5mm socket, you're in business. Audio reception is excellent even for those like me with moderate hearing loss. And the microphones are simply top-notch.
I've had only one break and that was because I crammed it into a travel case - and I mean crammed. With regard to ordinary daily abuse, these hold up well.
All in all, an excellent value.

I have a Plantronics Explorer 510 Blue Tooth headset, and I really like. (See my review). But I don't always remember to keep it charged, so I run out of battery before I run out of "talkery!"
I was chatting online with a Plantronics customer support specialist who suggested that rather than buying a car charger, why not buy a wired set as a backup? GREAT idea!
The Plantronics MX256-X1* is a SUPERB piece - EXCELLENT sound quality on both ends of the call, with ONE TOUCH Answer/End call if your phone is so-equipped (e.g. Sprint's Voice Command) It WEIGHS LESS than its wireless counterparts, and is VERY comfortable to wear for extended periods: This unit features a SOFT silicone "clip" that attaches to the backside of your ear, not over the top. This means that it won't interfere with your glasses like the vast majority of Blue Tooth devices!

I own this product and have used it for 1 month. Product finish and quality is good. I bought it to use with our home phone with 2.5mm plug jack. For the headset user the sound is very good. For the other person the headset user's voice is too far away - but still audible. (They always can tell when you are using it). No way to adjust mic or headset volume.

Excellent sound quality. Noise cancellation really works. The button on the headset string lets you automatically place a call and end the call. Very nice. Works much better and more reliably than ANY BlueTooth set I've tried - and I've tried almost all of them.

Do not be fooled by the Motorola "M" in the picture...these are NOT made by Motorola, and the real item delivered does not have the (M) on it. I only got sound out of one side, there was also a lot of background buzzing and interference because these are not shielded headphones. Later, the same day i recieved them, the connector (mini-usb) fell apart. They seem too good to be true for the price, but I figured maybe if they were even just "ok" I could use them for a while. They only lasted 30 minuted before they went in the trash.

I understand that this is not an expensive product and that one gets what one pays for; but nonetheless i am dissapointed.
The earbuds are awkward, uncomfortable and provide little in the way of sound quality. The mic is poorly placed and is prone to pulling the right bud out of one's ear. The mic itself is less than relyable (mine never worked). Within two weeks the headphones completely stopped working and were no longer recognized by the phone when plugged into the USB port. With the cost to return the item greater than the product's value i had no choice but to trash the headset and chalk it up as a loss.

I've used Plantronics headsets for probably 50 years. Initially when flying oceanic runs for air to ground contact, and later with ham radio. I purchased the MX203-X! Hands Free Driving.......2007-08-12
I purchased this product so I could chat with my family while driving to and from work. It conveniently fits in one ear without the headset looking microphone so you don't feel like you are working at Old Navy or in a call center. You should be sure to plug it in before driving so there's no extra fiddling around, the only inconvenience associated with non-wireless capabilities. Quite often the person I am speaking with complains of not being able to hear me very well, but after a microphone adjustment it seems to be aleviated.

This headset is great. My friends can hear me better when I talk with the headset plugged in than without it. And I hear better too. I used a Motorola headset before but the Plantronics is far better than the Motorola.

I have owned several bluetooth headsets. My ears are sensative and comfort is important. This headset fits perfect and the sound and mic are super. I have never had a complaint using this headset. It paired with my iPhone with no problems. It has a long battery life and is by far the most comfortable headset I have ever worn. I have used it for 6 months and no complaints.
Looks good, Feels Flimsy.......2007-11-09
I got this in July 2007 and when I first got it to sync it up with my W810i, I was really pleased. The headset sits on the ear OK and it doesn't protrude out of your ear like a cocoon. The speaker works pretty well inside your car and indoors but if you are outside and it's a windy day, you had better put your hand across your ear because the person you're talking to, won't hear hardly a thing. Battery life on this headset is above average as the average talk time is between 4-5 hours on a full charge.
Fast forward to November 2007 and one day I was putting the earpiece over my ear and the rubber connective portion of the earpiece ripped off from the silver battery part. It is currently en route back to Sony after calling them. They will be sending me a new one once they receive my broken one.
Bottom line: Great looking long lasting battery Sony Ericsson Bluetooth headset seeks gentle handling owner for sensitive fragile technology. If you get one, make sure you get an empty Altoids box to put it in when you are not wearing it.

This was an excellent earpiece, except it has no noise reduction. Everything else about it is great...the design for odd ears like mine keep it on the ear well. Noise reduction is vital, though, and I am surprised this late of a model didn't have it.

What a Piece of Junk.......2007-05-06
I've had a pair of the Cobra GMRS LI 6000-2 WX VP 2 Way Radios with which I was totally satisfied. When my wife and I bought mountain bikes we found the radios difficult to use while riding so I bought a pair of the earbud headsets. They are TOTALLY USELESS. The earpiece will not stay in the ear. Any kind of head motion at all and it falls out. This is as useless an accessory as I've ever purchased. Don't waste your money.
earbuds for Cobra.......2007-03-20
The only earpiece I've found that works as a silent communicator with the Cobra walkie-talkie devices. Any store in my area, which includes Best Buy, Circuit City, Radio Shack, anyone who actually carries the Cobra device, doesn't carry the correct earpiece that allows you to communicate without using the speaker/mic on the unit.
I work with a small theater group that requires whisper communication. I would have preferred an actual headset. In lieu of finding a headset I found this earbud that has a mic/switch built into the cord. The switch is the key to 'send', same as the key on the walkie-talkie. Earbud hangs in the ear and you hold the tiny switch/mic in your fingers, raise it to your mouth to speak. You do NOT use the keying device on the Cobra to speak. Using the clip on the walkie-talkie to attach to the belt is OK so long as you don't bump into something that changes the channel. There may be a lockout for the channel selector - haven't bothered to look for the config in the manual.
I've not tried to use it in regular open air application as in hiking outdoors, etc., when I wouldn't expect to raise the mic to my mouth to speak. Don't think it's an issue in that it is sensitive enough in whisper that in open air I expect it to work OK without raising, though that is the instinctive thing to do when holding the switch.

This product doesn't works. My friends just says to me: please turn off your microphone, nobody cant understand me anything. I prefer the original from xbox360. I wasted my money.

Could be better..........2007-11-12
This headset DOES NOT work with a 3rd party controller. Well, it does, but there is terrible feedback and echoing on the other end (I used a Mad Catz controller). It worked just fine in a Microsoft branded controller, although the voice was a bit muffled. The way it sits on your ear is also somewhat uncomfortable, and slightly perplexing when you just look at it and think "Wait, how does this thing fit on my ear?" I would recommend the Plantronics Under Ear headset over this one, simply because it works better and is more comfortable, but these two headsets (and the official Microsoft one) are the only headsets I've used. For quality, the Microsoft is the best, but the under ear headset is more comfortable. Make your decision based on what's most important to you, or just take a chance with one of the many other headsets available and hope you find something better.

This headset is wonderful. The price is great and it works perfectly. I havent had any problems with it so far and i've had it for almost 2 months. A couple of people complained about it being uncomfortable but i dissagree. It is very comfortable. I guess maybe compared to the wireless one it may be less comfortable but its definitely not hurtful on my ears. I would definitely recommend this headset to any xbox live player that doesnt want to blow 60 bucks on the wireless ones.

I bought these headphones for my new Blackberry Pearl from AT&T. In the past, I have bought two sets of Sennheiser PC gaming headphones because they are the best I have ever used. So, I decided to give their cell phone headphones a try. These sound just as amazing as my gaming headphones. I am VERY pleased! They are comfortable and the stereo sound is great!

This is a great headset which unfortunately did not work on Blackberry Curve. This headset has a 2.5mm pin, whereas the Blackberry requires a 3.5mm pin.

i purchased these phones after doing research online about pros and cons and i'm very pleased with the purchase.
these work great with my moto Q cellphone and without question the sound quality is just superb.

To be fair, I only had the phones for 1 day before I mailed them back. The mic did not work as another reviewer indicated. I have a Blacberry Pearl & read on some forums about these but I did not think the bass was good at all. I don't believe they were true stereo headphones--i don't know if this was same situation as previous reviewer noted where he had to pull out the connector slightly to hear true stereo, but that defeats the purpose of the purchase. I know per many forums that the Pearl has issues w/stereo, but should be overcome by headsets such as these b/c of their 2.5mm tips with 3 or more circles on the end. The box made them look cheap as well as I have seen a box of normal Sennheisers that cost more than these so immediately it got me thinking the quality was going to be that good. I guess I'm spoiled w/more higher end headphones, but b/c I've heard much about the name, I thought I couldn't go wrong. Will have to read on more types to see which ones I want
Excellent sounding headset AND answer calls.......2006-11-19
This is a great sounding headset! I use it with my Motorola Q, to listen to mp3s. The sound is very full, with crisp highs and deep bass. The rubber earpieces do isolate the rest of the outside noise which is very good for sound, but not good if you're jogging/biking outdoors etc. These are definitely the best sounding in-ear style headsets I've tried. Earbuds are NO comparison! Highly recommended.
