Love it!!!.......2007-12-12
I am not much of a gadget gal. I bought this product because my physical therapist said I have a tendency to tilt my head to the right (and I have a herniated neck disk)and asked if I do a lot of talking with the phone between my ear and shoulder while working on other things at my desk. She pretty much described my work position. I researched many headsets and decided on this one. I absolutely LOVE it and it has become one of those gadgets that you can't figure out how you survived without it. It has great clarity in both the microphone and in the earpiece. I got it with the handset lever and have to say that this thing is a MUST.
It was easy to set up and requires very little, if any, fussing with. I highly recommend it!
Headset.......2007-10-18
This is not the first headset we've purchased. These work very well with our Lucent Merlin Legend phone system. They are easy to use and the sound quality is excellent
Very Convenient and High quality.......2007-07-18
That's it. I live with this on my ear when expecting call or on hold. I prefer the clarity to any phone in the house. Also I can be on the computer making notes as needed during business calls with both hands free. The quality is totally excellent.
THE BOMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2007-07-03
I LOVE this headset. Awesome, the bomb!! What can I say other than BUY ONE!!!!
Plantronics Wireless headset.......2007-04-11
This product is very good - we have tried another wireless headset (GN Netcom) which was hollow sounding and had static. The plantronics headset is a much better product, in addition to be cheaper. I would recommend the Plantronics headset to anyone.

Customer Reviews:
Great product!.......2007-11-25
I bought this headset as a busy office manager/legal secretary/receptionist to a law firm. Before this headset I was glued to my desk, and got incredible headsets from holding the phone with my neck/shoulder while my boss dictated pleadings and letters to me over the phone. Additionally clients would ask me questions and I would have to put them on hold while I pulled their file - no more! I can even walk across the hall and be in another person's office and still get crystal clear reception. The lifter is also a must have because with the exception of pressing a button on your headset to answer the phone you hardly ever touch your actual phone - truly exceptional product!
Awesome Headset.......2007-11-24
I got this headset to work with a Cisco IP phone in my home office. The headset rocks--superb voice quality, perhaps the most comfortable headset I have ever used, and reasonable range for my purposes.
Can't Live Without It.......2007-10-29
Let's be clear: I have no complaints whatsoever about the CS70. Works perfectly, easy to connect / set-up, and great sound quality. The headset is very comfortable, and the range is excellent.
Only complaint: the way Amazon packages the HL10 lifter. I order the package (CS70 w/ HL10) and wound up with 2 HL-10 lifters. Seriously, this could not have been more confusing.
Overall, very pleased with the product.
Superb product, works perfectly!.......2007-10-27
This is such a great headset. The headset lifter is a must (which is included in this listing). The headset is very comfortable (I've left the building with it on a few times), and people can hear me well and I can hear them great. Answering the phone and hanging up are fantastic, just a push of the button on the side and the handset lifts or drops.
The range isn't the longest, but it is good, and it beeps in your ear as you get out of range.
This is as good as it gets, don't consider any other!
Good System.......2007-09-16
The product works great. I am pleased with the sound and the transmission distance from my phone. I can work around the office, multi task and take care of business on the phone. The product was confusing to purchase. You have the system picture and you call it bundle purchase. Below this you have the lifter. I clicked on the lifter also because I think that is how the bundle works if you purchase it also. When I receive the shipment, the lifter is a separte purchase (this is not clear) from the bundle offer. Now it is a hastle to send it back and get my refund. Money is taken out of the original price for shipping (I paid my own shipping and used my sources). So what I originally purchase is credited less money. All because the store is not marketed so it is easy to understand.

Customer Reviews:
Excellent dual-purpose headset.......2007-12-12
I'm currently using this with a Cisco 7962 business telephone and a Palm Treo 650 cell phone. I love being able to use one headset for both by land-line and cell. Range and clarity are both excellent - my headset connects to the desk phone from well over the advertised range. The headset design is also the most comfortable I've found. I would strongly suggest checking the Plantronics web site to make sure it's compatible with your office phone. Some of the functionality - for example, the ability to answer and hang up calls using the headset's button - depend on the capabilities of your office phone. In my case, everything works seamlessly and I'm very pleased.
Excellent tool.......2007-10-10
I use this headset with my cell phone (a Treo 700w), my desk phone (Avaya Partner II system) and my laptop for Skype calls (MacBook Pro). I have also used it with my home phone and have been completely pleased in all cases. It is comfortable, the audio quality is excellent and the system is easy to use.
Money back please.......2007-05-09
The headset is quite mediocre: marginally acceptible sound quality...so so comfort, marginal range (about 15 ft). It doesn't look to well built, but at least mine hasn't fallen apart yet.
The landline connection is a joke: very poor quality. Does not plug into most phones with headset connections.
I returned mine. Waiting for Jabra top come out with a better one.
Headset is great, system is mediocre.......2007-02-09
The system comes with two parts: the base unit (converts a land line, corded phone to Bluetooth) and the PL 510 headset.
The good: The headset has an amazing connection to Bluetooth devices. I have connected it to my Blackberry 8700c and get great reception, noise canceling, and have never had problems with distance. I can drive in a car with the windows open and both sides can hear each other clearly.
The bad: The base unit is awkward and requires you to be right next to the base unit to begin or end any call. Unlike a when the headset is connected to a cell phone, you can't press a button on the headset and answer a call. You have to lift the handset off the phone to answer it.
The headset itself is about $50 on Amazon, and this is almost $200. For the price, I would get the headset only and just use a cell phone if possible.
510s bluetooth headset.......2007-01-10
very dissappointed with this product, not even 60 days goes by before its starts falling apart! I can't believe would put out a product like this.

The extremely stylish CS70 lets you use talk on the phone whilst up to 50m from your desk, but is so discreet and comfortable you may forget you are wearing it. With a clear voice tube microphone, it weighs just 22g but provides 5 hours talk-time. With the HL10 lifter or an electronic hook switch module, you can answer incoming calls when away from your telephone, helping to avoid calls unnecessarily going to voicemail. DECT audio technology ensures excellent audio quality and is compatible with most popular business telephones.
Customer Reviews:
Expensive, but a great headset..........2007-02-07
I use the headset with a Cisco 7960 - works great. I strongly recommend this product - excellent range and battery life.
Too bad it's not possible to pickup/hangup without connecting a headset lifter (lame).
Great audio, good security, VERY SHORT RANGE.......2007-01-20
After many disappointments with corded and wireless headsets and the unavailability of a Bluetooth(tm) option for our phone system, I purchased the CS70 because of its use of the 6.0 DECT (1.9 GHz) band, digitally-encrypted audio (Essential for our health care office, after having a local scanner hobbyist e-mail us some of our conversations from 5.8 GHz "analog" cordless telephones.), the reported 300 foot range, less chance of interference with 2.4 GHz WiFi networks (and the other myriad of gadgets in that crowded frequency band) and recommendations that the audio was "second to none."
Other cordless headsets that we had purchased in the past were useless when trying to communicate with some of our elderly, hard-of-hearing clients. The CS70 allows adjustments of both incoming and outgoing audio from moderate levels to almost painfully loud. At the highest volume settings it could almost qualify as a speaker phone in a quiet room! We have received many unsolicited compliments about our telephone call sound quality from the hard of hearing. Comments such as: "What telephone are you using? I can't understand anybody else on the telephone except when your office calls." Our clients who have difficulty hearing are much more likely to answer our calls when they see our number in the caller ID because of this. Apparently the Plantronics noise-cancelling and digital audio processing increases the intelligibility. The 64-bit audio encryption, sufficient for all but the most demanding security environments, does not degrade the audio quality - something that we noted with cordless telephones we've had in the past from Panasonic and Uniden that use FHSS or DSS ("frequency hopping spread spectrum" or "digital spread spectrum") although, as far as we know they are quite secure and our calls were never monitored successfully.
The optional Handset Lifter HL-10 is anything but "optional." It is a "must have" with this device. The whole point of having a cordless headset is not having to return to the base unit for every function - especially to pick up and hang up the phone! For the price Plantronics is charging, the HL-10 should be included. Furthermore, the HL-10's compatibility, even with models that are so listed on the Plantronics website, is a relative term that will require some ingenuity to insure reliability. In our experience, a small piece of Velcro(tm) to attach the handset to the lifter works wonders, but it took several hours of "trial and error" to figure this out. Use enough Velcro(tm) to secure the handset when moved by the lifter, but not so much that the handset cannot be easily removed without yanking the lifter out of position.
The biggest disappointment with the CS70 is the range. The listed "up to 300 feet" is a joke. Even in completely open terrain with no intervening walls in a flat rural area of Florida with no known powerful electromagnetic radiation sources. The best distance we could achieve was 60-75 feet and still have reliable, noise-free communications even with optimal base unit positioning in an elevated location away from all metal and other electronic devices. The range indoors, in an office environment, with sheetrock, non-metallic walls and the usual collection of office equipment and furniture drops to 50 feet AT BEST. With the metallic studs that are used as wall supports in many commercial building, the CS70 basically becomes a "line of sight" device over 25-30 feet. In one of our clinics, the range was so short that we thought that we had a defective unit. However, after exchanging it for another CS70, we got the same results. Of course, very few of us need a range of 300 feet, but it is very annoying to drop a call while making a short trip down the hall for a file. The short range reduces the CS70's usefulness as an aid to "multitasking." Could it be that the lack of an external antenna is responsible for this? Somebody needs to call Plantronics "on the carpet" for their bogus range claims.
The headset, although it appears bulky, is surprisingly comfortable. Battery life is outstanding. And the headset recharges rapidly, making it easy to use the CS70 all day. If you're a big talker, you might have to leave headset in the charger during lunch. We can't comment on battery longevity since we've only had the CS70's for a couple of months.
Although the CS70 touts its interference resistance, we've had trouble with the CS70 in our office near the airport. These problems did not affect the "frequency hopping" cordless phones in either the 2.4 and 5.8 GHz bands that we've had in the past. Also, some PDA telephones, like the Cingular 8125 and others, intermittently interfere with the CS70. Every few minutes there will be several seconds of static and the outgoing audio is dropped. What the source of this interference is, we still haven't determined. But it seems that it would have to either be the Bluetooth or WiFi transmitters.

Works great!.......2007-03-09
It's a great wireless headset without any wires whatsover (as compaed to the outher wireless plantronics devices which have a small battery pack). The only minor annoyance is that the headset does not expand enough to fit absolutely comfortably, however, it is sufficient. Additionally, the provided foam ear pads come off easily (are needed for comfort).

Customer Reviews:
good reception performance but weak ringer.......2007-12-11
I purchased this product in order to use the Bluetooth around the office. While the reception works very well, the headset does seem to "miss" calls if I'm not in the immediate vicinity of the base. If I'm within, say, 20-30 feet, I do get a ringing tone that alerts me a call is coming in. If I'm further away than that, I find when I get back to my desk that a call came in but the alert did not make it to my headset, therefore makeing the caller leave a message.

Awful.......2007-11-12
The wireless transmitter has terrible problems and is not reliable. Sudden bursts of extremely loud static will come out of the speaker during use. It's unusable. Connecting the mic directly to the amp seems to correct the problem but defeats the whole purpose of the product. Contacted the seller but have not received a response.

Great headset!! Who know it was possible!.......2007-12-28
We finally tried the Plantronics CS-55 Dect 6.0 Digital Wireless Office Headset and it is AWESOME! We were using Plantronics CS50 headsets and they just give off feeback and crackle.
The Plantronics CS-55 Dect 6.0 Digital Wireless Office Headset is really great, good sound quality, no feedback, no buzzing in your ear! And people can actually hear you!
We have 7 wireless headsets working in our office and 2 are the CS-55. Once the CS50 ones break (which will be soon) I will be replacing them all with the CS-55!
Plantronics cordless headset works well.......2007-11-21
The cordless headset works very well. Set up is easy and well-documented. My only issue is that the microphone mouthpiece fits too close to my lips and there's a bit of an echo. When I move it upward it bumps my glasses. I'm working to get proper adjustment. If the wand were a tad shorter the problem would go away.
Plantronics CS-55 .......2007-10-19
I first purchased the Plantronics Bluetooth wireless headset, but had very poor luck with it. My office is loaded with electronics and evidently the bluetooth set couldn't handle it-very poor reception. This headset, on the contrary, gives crystal clear reception inthe same environment. I use it for depositions and phone conferences which have to be clear. The headset is comfortable and has a much further range of useability than the bluetooth version. I am very pleased with this set.
Plantronics Headset.......2007-09-12
The product is very nice, although it SHOULD come with a handset lifter without an extra charge
Wireless Headset.......2007-07-18
Great unit. Works best with a corded telephone in conjunction with the HL10 handset lifter. Using with a cordless phone is not as effective. Distance is acceptable.
