Bulky and loses capacity over time.......2007-12-30
Adds over double the bulk to the phone and does not add but about 30% to the battery life. I still eeded two batteries for my daily life unless I want to charge it at lunch time which is not always possible.
bluetooth solution.......2007-12-05
If you must leave bluetooth enabled on your phone, this is the battery to get. Bluetooth is a huge drain on the OEM battery that comes with the Moto Q and the OEM battery can't even chug out an entire day. This bad boy makes it through the entire day and night with bluetooth on and then some although I still throw it on the charger that night (if bluetooth was enabled). If you disable bluetooth you can get a weekend of casual use before it needs recharging. Your mileage may vary, but I did not have any problems with this purchase and it solved my problems with the Q quite nicely.

The battery and cover was everything it was advertised to be. It has been working great and I really enjoyed a price that was about 50% of the stated vendor price.

This is definitely a worthwhile accessory for the Moto Q. I liked it so much, I bought two, and I now regularly swap between the two during the day if one runs low. It also works well with the Motorola Q Desktop Charging Station, which has a recess in the back support that allows for clearance with the extended battery cover installed. The dock also allows for charging a spare extended battery, so these two Motorola products are (not surpisingly) very compatible. Should have bought these extended batteries when I first purchased the phone!

Blissfully Ignorant.......2007-10-01
In August, we decided to buy a Motorola Extra Capacity battery and its door for our son as a birthday present. He, like I, has a Motorola RAZR. So, we "Amazoned" these items to him for his birthday. AccessoryOne used USPS Priority Mail to hasten the package to get there in time.Mistake. It took 5 days to arrive, instead of the advertised second-day.
When it arrived, our son discovered that it would not fit his RAZR v3R cell phone. (I've learned since that there are MANY iterations to the RAZR: the v3, the v3i, the v3m, the v3r, etc.) Unfortunately, there are NO caveats to the consumer that warn about incompatibility.
Well, I emailed a copy of my paid invoice and our son returned the items to them. AccessoryOne said that they'd send out replacement items.
Then,an email from AccessoryOne said they'd not received any items --- and - then! - within twenty-four hours, I received an email notice that my credit card had been credited the amount paid for the 2 items. Period. No further explanations.
Conclusion: we consider ourselves fortunate that money/credit was given/returned, and we thank AccessoryOne for that. However, our son is STILL looking for an extra-capacity battery (and door) for his RAZR v3r.
I've encouraged him to ask Motorola if the v3r will even accept a larger battery at all!
In a separate but corollary illustration, I have recently been looking for Bluetooth headphones for my RAZRv3.The HT820 supposedly will work; however,a number of customer reviews state that the HT820 is not compatible with the RAZRv3.Frankly, I did not know what model RAZR I had UNTIL I read of these 'incompatiblity' issues!! (My service provider advised that it is a v3...... not a 3i, not a 3m, etc.)
IN BOTH CASES, one has to be aware beforehand of incompatibility issues, and there is NO pertinent detail available in the advertisement on Amazon -- OR in other 'Net shops as well!
If you are buying an accessory, investigate to ensure that it is compatible with the original item. AccessoryOne did the right thing -- others may not. Even so, we wound up spending almost as much on S & H as the original cost of these two items!
BOTTOM LINE: Being 'blissfully ignorant' when you buy may cost you in loss of patience and possibly loss of dollars. As the old Roman rug merchant once said, "Caveat empor!" Buyer beware!

i just got this battery door for my sprint motorola v3m and it fits perfectly. the color matches too. i really like having the extended battery i feel ten times better about this phone now. the original battery just didn't last long enough. anyway the door is perfect and it's made of metal so that also cool. it makes my cellphone case all tight and weird but i think it'll stretch out and be just fine. i got the door battery combo but if you need a door this color this one rocks. take care everybody.

It's a WORLD of difference. .......2007-12-29
My Moto-Q was practically useless with the standard battery. Not that this was news to me. I was told by the people at the Sprint store that the standard battery was worthless, but there was no way I was going to spend $75 on their extended life battery. I told them I'd come back later if I felt I really needed it, but I knew where I was really going to go. I came straight to Amazon and found this baby, picked it up for much less, and now I can actually use this phone for several days without recharging unless I'm really using the phone to talk/text a lot, and using other features too. I am a light to moderate cell phone user, so this battery lasts forever for me. Your mileage will vary, but this is still a great add-on to a pretty good phone.
I still have some very occasional problems with my Moto-Q, but it's all the phone, not the battery. I do wish that this battery was as slim as the standard, because adding on this battery will make the phone noticeably heavier and thicker.

My battery run-time is now more than double what the stock battery provided. The battery is thicker, and messes up the slick sleek lines of the phone, but I need the phone to be working more than I need the phone to be pretty.

When I first got my Motorola Q I was disappointed with the standard battery and was having to charge the battery every night or be caught with a dying battery in mid day. With some setting changes and the 1700 mAh battery that is now far in the past. For the price, it is an excellent deal.

A little fatter than the regular battery which means a very tight squeeze in my Q-holder but the extra power makes a big difference.

Will not fit in the Phone.......2007-12-01
This battery is 2x the size as the original battery. There is no way to get the factory battery cover on. I guess there must be a deeper door available hence the "door not included" comment in the description. But with a deeper door then there would be no way to get in to fit in a standard case.
