Great Headset.......2007-11-02
I've been using the H670 for about a month and works flawlessly. It never drops a call even while in standby and in syncs very quickly. Calls are clear and the 4 ear pieces make it easy to find a good fit.
It replaced my Jabra BT-150 and BT-160 which never worked correctly and never consistently stayed synced.
Not bad at all.......2007-10-11
Good battery life, is as advertised. A lot lighter than the earlier generation of moto headsets. Had a H500, it was ok but low max volume. Way more comfortable than headsets $50 and below and the raised speaker helps u hear better and decently louder than the previous gen of moto headsets. If ur driving with the window down, dont expect any headset to overpower a V8 going 75mph why do u think that basic car stereos use use a min of 200W A 5V battery isnt gonna overpower it Can be used as a mono headphone with your BT enabled computer or PDA. Warning. Alot of headsets are BT 1.1 or 1.2. This one rocks at BT 2.0 (1MBps vs 3Mbps) which gives u better audio quality ans slightly better range) Reason why alot of u guys have problems with range is cause ur source trasnmitter is low power. Got a Class I Bluetooth 2.0+ EDR (100m) USB Bluetooth transmitter on my computer and not a single dropout and good 96-112KBps Mp3 quality playback. Most cell phones are class II and III with a range of 1-10meters. Check ur cell phone specs and BT version. BT 2.0 and a min of Class II transmit power is ur best bet.I Have a LG Chocolate II and my conversations are CD quality with decent noise reduction. Bummed out when the mp3player on the chocolate wouldnt transmit to the headset only the wired headphones. When using my HP HX2495 PocketPC, it sounds like a weak 48Kbps analog phone quality at Bluetooth 1.2 :( Get a PDA with BT 2 or 2.1. OVerall a great buy, got it for 49. Dont waste ur money at walmart or target. The onboard slider switch is nice to have when swapping BT devices and the 3 different ear hooks make this so comfy to wear.
First try, disappointing - UPDATED (A bit better now).......2007-07-23
I've read all the reviews online, but decided to try a Bluetooth headset anyway. Well, what you read is true. Everyone says I sound muffled, far away, or they can't hear me at all. Forget trying to issue voice commands for hands-free dialing. Apparently, the word "Call" sounds a lot like "Send Message" by the time it gets to the phone. My wife and I both tried it with about 1 try in 10 giving us the results we wanted. Yeas, I've adjusted the Voice Command sensitivity on my phone, and yes, the Voice Commands work fine without using the heaset, so it's not the phone. The people I'm talkiing to can also hear everything anyone within 100 feet of me says, which makes communication in a crowd or grocery store impossible. Now for the reason it earned 3 stars instead of 1: I can hear the people I'm talking to very well, even in loud environments. It connects perfectly to my Motorola W385. It's very comfortable, even when wearing glasses. It's very light. The ergonomics and ease of use are great. Still debating a return. I'll keep trying it a few more days. If my opinion changes, I'll update.
Well, I've been living with this headset for a few months now, and I do like it. It's definitely not for use in any crowded area or where there is background noise. I use it strictly in the car to keep my hands on the wheel. Don't bother trying it anywhere else. Even getting out to pump gas can be a challenge if you want to be heard on the other end. The person you are speaking to can hear the gas flowing through the hose, not to mention other cars, wind, etc. I've learned to figure out what sounds the voice commands want to hear (and it has been successful) but it sounds like I'm speaking a foreign language to anyone listening in.
A Bummer.......2007-06-08
I bought one of these about 2 months ago when my old earpiece quit. I have to say it's pretty disappointing.
The fit to the ear is too loose and not adjustable enough so it feels like a little fish flopping around if you're moving your head at all. And because it won't stay put against the ear, it's not loud enough. Well, in a quiet room it's OK, but the way I use it, at airports, in the car, at trade shows, etc., forget it.
It also constantly loses the connection from my Treo 680.
I really can't understand why companies come out with products like this - doesn't anyone market test them? I should have returned it but now it's too late. Just ordered a Jabra.. hope it works better!
Good, not sure yet if it's great. .......2007-03-04
People I talk to say it sounds clear, no background noise, no static, good volume, which was critical to me as my BlackBerry picks up all kinds of background noise.
On my end, I hear crackling if I am more than 12' from the phone. Also, I wish I could turn up the volume more when I am in the car.
Overall, I am not returning the product and enjoy it. I finally made it into the modern age!
