The phone fits snugly and the access points for the hotsync cable, camera, buttons line up well. Initially had to tug and pull to get everything lined up right, but that would be expected for such a snug-fitting case.

I recently bought a replacement for a similar Krusell case that I had been using daily for over two years. I like its design and durability.
However, I have learned that while Krusell provides a warranty for the leather case it does not cover the plastic Multidapt clip that allows me to hang the Treo on my belt. It was this plastic component that failed necessitating the replacement.
There is clear plastic cover over the Treo's screen. The thickness that protects the screen also makes it difficult to effectively use the touch screen, especially for functions near the edge of the screen. When I bought the original case I had the option of getting a unit with no plastic cover on the screen, but this was not currently available.

The case is sufficient to protect the phone but is a little askew due to stitching. This may rectify itself over time due to the material being leather, but, it may also become worse.
The best part of the case is the ability to have different clips. The available different clips are great for any type of application including clipping to a bicycle's handlebars.

I love this case! It's as small as you can get for a treo so that it won't stick out too far from my belt. The plastic cover is a little hard to deal with when using the stylette, but I still would rather deal with that than a bulky case!
Great case but doesn't fit right on 650.......2007-03-13
I like the case a lot and the easily-detachable belt clip is perfect for how I like to carry it -- mostly in the pocket but every now and then on a belt.
Here's the thing though: maybe my case was defective, but there is a bulge in the lower left corner that makes it hard to type on the keys below it. It's like they sewed a little too much material, but only on that corner and the plastic makes a bump. Otherwise it's a five star concept and a great price. Too bad.

The case looks really good, but the clip breaks easily, and that's not the worst part, the worst part is that your Treo will fall off the case because the leather will give way. You could break a $300-400 piece of equipment for a good looking but horrible case function wise
Krusell treo 650 case.......2007-02-27
I really like the case except for one problem, after a few months the phone falls out of it. The phone goes upside down and then falls out of the case because the leather has stretched. You could solve that problem by adding a strap to the case at the top. Other then that I love the case.
Krusell Palm Treo Cabriolet Case.......2007-01-06
This is a horrible case. It is big and bulky. Worst of all, the phone keeps falling out (already pretty scarred from repeatedly hitting the pavement). I do not recommend buying this case. I wish someone had warned me before spending so much money for such a worthless case.

I've had this little carrier for a couple of months now, and don't really have complaints about it. The only thing that maybe I could say negatively about it is that my Treo is kind of hard to pull out of the case once it is in...it won't just slide out easily, but of course this same quality keeps it secure and from falling out inadvertently. But I have thought that perhaps some kind of little strap to come over the top and hold it it might be better (than the rubbery, grippy stuff inside), that way, when you wanted to pull it out, you could just pop open a little snap or something and then slide it out with ease. But this is a very ticky-tack complaint...it's not like it's all that difficult to pull out...I'm just being as critical as possible for the sake of this review.
Great case until Treo slips out and breaks.......2006-10-25
When I first got this case, I loved it. The Krusell clip system is the best out there. But after a few weeks, the stickyness of the inside of case wasn't sticky anymore and the phone doesn't stay in the case.
Because the clip pivot is near the center, the phone spends a lot of time upside down because top of Treo is heavier than bottom.
Then it slides out and hits the ground. Why Krusell didn't put any strap or something to hold the Treo in more securely, I'll never know???

Under the hood, the Treo 650 features Palm OS 5.4, 32MB of RAM (23MB available for end user storage), and an Intel PXA270 312 MHz processor. The design retains the same popular form factor as the Treo 600 with a few subtle, yet significant, changes. The unit's screen has been dramatically enhanced to support 320 x 320 resolution and the full QWERTY keypad has been redesigned for greater ease of use. The top of the unit features an expansion card slot for SD and MMC-based memory and expansion cards. There's also an infrared port here for line of sight data transfers, as well as a handy switch for turning off the phone's ringer. A five-way navigator controls most of the phone's menus and operating system functions, while quick application buttons on either side of the navigator get you to your favorite applications in a snap. The left side of the unit features a volume up/down toggle plus a handy user-customizable button that can be assigned to any phone or PDA function. The rear of the Treo 650 houses a loudspeaker, as well as the VGA (640x480) camera unit. A touchscreen stylus can be tucked away on the right side of the phone. Meanwhile, a combined charging, data, and accessory attachment port is housed on the bottom of the unit, as is a standard 2.5 mm stereo headset jack.
Calling and PDA Features
All the of the Treo 650's phone and PDA functions are designed to provide an integrated, seamless experience. For instance, you can type in the name or initials of a contact on the keypad to dial them. Or, use the touchscreen and stylus to copy information from an email and quickly paste it into another email or text message. All of the latest phone features folks expect are built-in, too, like a handsfree speakerphone, polyphonic ringtones, a vibrate mode and picture caller ID. The capacity of the unit's address book is only limited by the amount of internal and expansion memory available. Use the Treo 650's Bluetooth capability to wirelessly sync your contacts with your PC or Mac (yes, Mac!). Headsets, car kits and other wireless peripherals can also be paired with the unit via Bluetooth.
The Treo 650 is also a fully functional Palm OS device. That means that a huge library of applications, from spreadsheets to word processors to games, can be added to the Treo 650. It's easy to perform multiple tasks like checking your calendar while talking on the phone or dialing calls directly from your contacts list. Familiar Palm OS software ships with the handset including calendar, calculator, clock, contacts, memo, and task management applications. Real Player for video and MP3 playback, VersaMail email client, and DataViz Documents to Go for mobile access to spreadsheets and text documents, are also included.
The unit's memory expansion slot allows you to transfer music, photos, and video from your desktop. Or, use it to load additional games and applications.

Messaging and Internet
The device fully supports SMS and MMS messaging for rapid exchange of pictures, text and video via Sprint's instant messaging system. Other Sprint PCS Vision services are also supported, such as mobile email, web browsing and instant messaging. Sprint's PCS Business Connection service, which is fully compatible with the Treo 650, gives you secure, remote, real-time access to Microsoft Outlook Exchange-- including email messages and attachments, calendar, business directory and personal contacts. You can also respond to meeting requests, access documents stored on your desktop PC, and view email from POP3 and IMAP4-based email accounts, including Sprint PCS Mail, Yahoo!, Earthlink and more.
Imaging and Entertainment
The Treo 650's built-in camera features a 2x zoom, a flash and a self portrait mirror. While the camera is great for taking stills, it can also function as a camcorder, allowing you to capture MPEG4 video to the unit's memory. The device ships with two games, Zap! 2016 and Handmark Solitaire, and many more Palm-based games are available. As mentioned, the device ships with Real Player, so you can use your Treo 650 as a portable MP3 and video player. Keep your tunes loaded on a memory card and you're ready to go with stereo sound wherever you roam.

You need it, once you have it.......2007-07-19
but not if you don't. People look at it and call it the brick, the refrigerator, what have you, but...it knows you. It knows what you're going to do, who you're going to do, what you're going to see, who you're going to see, when, and where, and it does it all well, with a touch screen. Sure, it shuts off every now and then when you really don't want it to, but the data is saved and everything is copacetic; you can breath the sigh of relief when you see that you still have that girl's number. To-do, memo, calendar, and Epocrates (google it) are all I use on this phone that are not available/hard-to-use on other phones. I rarely use the stylus or the touch-screen functionality, but it's nice to know its there. Iphone is a nice toy for 20-30 somethings (which i fall into), but a toy nonetheless; the treo, tried and true, will organize your life without looking too sexy. It's the trophy wife versus the wife you know will cook and massage you when you're down. Which do you value more?
All this inane chatter said and done, I recently bought a $18 planner from Staples, and its much more effective in organizing life.
Get a treo if you have a secretary and she hot syncs your life for you. If not, keep it really real like me and stick with pen and paper.
Great Phone.......2007-05-10
I purchased this phone a few months ago and can truly say it is one of the best investments I have ever made! I had doubts on how comfortable I'd be lugging around a big phone like this, but that was short lived once it was in my hands. I get so much use from this phone, not only for the phone itself, but for the PDA capabilites. I have never been so organized and on top of things. The only thing is that it sometimes freezes when it connects with my Bluetooth, but it's a minor complaint and one easily overlooked when I look back and see how much this phone has helped me.

This is a great phone.
There are so many different add-ons for it available too! (ex. You can now use Google maps on your palm for free)
I have gone the whole weekend without have to charge it. (I only used it a couple times as a phone, but I was frequently checking the time and going online for directions and such).
the Bluetooth however is VERY weak. I have tried it with 4 different headsets and all of them had major static. (Cardo scala 500, plantronics discovery 640, jabra BT800, sony ericsson hbh-600) Hardly anyone could ever hear me on the other line.

Maybe I'm one of the lucky few - I haven't had any problems with the phone or with Sprint. I've been a Sprint PCS customer for 8 years now and haven't had any issues with them. I've had my Treo 650 for almost a year and have been very happy with it, everything still works and no random reboots as reported by others. I've abused the phone and have been impressed that it keeps working. Example - a few weeks after I got it I carelessly dropped it into a fruity beverage, but even though it was completely submerged (briefly) and was covered with sticky fruit I was able to clean it off and it kept on working and still works. I'm very happy with the features and the convenience of having my calendar with me at all times. The battery life is good. When I'm bored I pull it out for a quick game of hearts or check my email when out of town (I use Snapper.) So although it was an expensive purchase, it's one that I use regularly and it does exactly what I need it to do.
Good Phone, but..........2006-10-30
I understand phone service is part of the phone experience, but I am going to refrain from any evaulations of my service to give you my insights on the phone (treo 650).
Its a good phone, but there are few things you need to do first:
1. Get an external disk (SD) of at least a Gig.
2. Get Chatter email or a similar program that allows you to store emails on the external disk (SD). This is not a built in feature of the email application that is provided.
3. Get the volume control software so you can have more control over the sound. You will need it. The software is called VolumeCare.
4. Get a good Mp3/Mpeg3. The Core Pocket Media Player is a good one.
The one things I do not like and do not have any control over is the phone application - it sucks. The phone application is how you faciliate and manage phone calls. It seems to be unstable at times. Also, just the basic ability to accept a call on the other line is very crappy. If you click over and talk and then end the call, there isn't a way to drop the new incoming call. Or if you make a 3 way call and the person doesn't answer, there is no way for you to drop the attempted call off. I usually just have the person I was already talking to to drop off and I recall them....ok, I digress.
Outside of the poor phone application which you cannot upgrade or change, its a good phone.

Eforcity USB Charger/ Good for indicated models........2007-03-29
I got 3 hand me down PDA's that I use for travel. This USB charger has been confirmed by Eforcity to universally work for PDA's mention but not for Zune or Ipod. For those they recommended either stand alone Ipod charger or their white Ipod version of USB charger. This one worked fine for my Palm Tungsten, Clie, and handspring.

Must Have for the Treo.......2007-01-11
It's such a simple product that there isn't much to tell. However, each film lasts quite some time (6 months or so), improves visibility of the screen and they do a great job of protecting the screen. They are really easy to apply and they are made to fit. When you're ready to change them out, they peel right off and don't leave any residue on the screen. They don't inhibit stylus use at all.
