Top-Notch Video Performance
The XBR KDL-32XBR4 is a 720p television with a display resolution of 1366 x 768 resolution for a sharp HD picture. The KDL-32XBR4 uses the HDMI connection, which houses both audio and video signals in one connector and has the bandwidth to support the data necessary for the high resolution. Sony's Bravia Engine Video Processing System converts all video signals to 720p, so you can watch all your old DVDs on this glorious display.
Sony complements the high resolution with the latest technology in color reproduction. The KDL-32XBR is a 10-bit display with 10-bit processing. Most panels are only 8-bit. The added bit depth here means a larger color palette for more faithful color reproduction and smoother transitions from one color to the next. Additionally, the display features a special WCG-CCFL backlight that, combined with Sony's Live Color Creation system, achieves more natural and vibrant color.
The KDL-32XBR4 features Sony's Motionflow technology, which automatically adjusts for and applies the proper processing for optimal motion reproduction depending on the video input. This includes support for 24 frames per second (24p) video, which displays video content at the 24-frames-per-second rate at which it was originally filmed or recorded. With 24p, you get the most faithful possible reproduction of the original.
A Wide Variety of Inputs
This Sony television's wide variety of inputs ensures compatibility with your other home theater components. There are three HDMI connections for Blu-Ray, HD DVD, and other technologies requiring the high bandwidth, and two component video inputs, three composite video inputs, one S-Video input, one PC Audio and Video input, two RF connection inputs, and five analog audio inputs. Bravia LCD by Sony.......2007-12-12 I had researched TVs a good bit before ordering the Sony Bravia 32inch LCD HD set. I had several visits to stores in my area to look at competitors. I just thought this one was the best overall. My son and son-in-law both were amazed at the clarity of the images. I had to say goodby to my old Sony trinitron bought in 1996. It just isn't up to the signals available today. It was however still working, and had never been to a repair shop. I was pleased with the prompt delivery and pricing I recieved from Amazon.

Best LCD TV by far.......2007-12-07 Prior to buying this model, I looked at many 32" LCD TVs. While I found many to look good, the Sony XBR had the best picture of the lot.
I am now using it with satelitte HD and loving it. The picture is brilliant and wows anybody who comes to visit.
I have not found any pixelation with fast moving scenes - a problem I have with my 42" Sony LCD rear projection TV. That problem is solved with this model.
This unit is well worth the extra dollars.

I thought default picture settings were about perfect to me.
I did brighten it a bit to see more detail in shadows.

The remote is too skinny and not balanced well - disappointing - but can live with it.
Top Segment LCD for Good Value.......2007-07-02 Wow, am I glad we waited to buy ourselves a flatscreen TV.
So many options yet so little real good advice out there. Ended up buying this Sony Screen (mainly because the DVD-R's also from Sony, as is the home cinema set).
Five top reasons to go out and buy one yourself:
1. Great colours and contrasts
2. Sleek Classy Design
3. Not too big, which fits a modest living room/master bedroom just fine
4. Easy set up features
5. If you hook it up with a HDMI cable (to your Home Cinema Set) you're really off
One minor flaw:
1. Sound is limited (mediocre at best); but a medium to up market Home Cinema Set should have that covered.
I recommend to anyone, who's still debating which type of LCD to buy, to opt for this beauty. You won't get much more value for money anywhere else.....
Worth the price.......2007-06-10 Sometimes it pays to choose the best. This is one of those times.

Fabulous TV.......2007-05-29 I love this TV. The sound is great and the picture is fabulous. The delivery was really more than I expected. I got a phone call to set the delivery time and they actually showed up at the right time. They unboxed the TV and set it up for me. I could have done it myself but it was really nice to be able to see the TV working before the delivery folks left.
