This is a good product for anyone that small ears this one has a wire you can actually adjust and fit the ear comfortably.

This is the first Bluetooth Headset I'd ever used so I do not have base to compare. It has a good price for a beginner like me that doesn't want to spend a lot of money on the first try. On top of that, it comes with all the accessories needed (wall and car chargers,interchangeable ear and glasses attachments, neck strap and belt clip). The attachment for the eye glasses works ok, the retaining clip that attach it to the glasses leg does not feel 100% secured like the ear loop but it does the job; I personally prefer the ear loop. If you have small ears like me, this is a good headset to buy. I was not so sure about buying a Bluetooth headset at the begining because I was afraid of the headset's ear loop being too big and fall off my ear or stay loose like some wired headsets. The pairing was very easy and fast on my Nokia 6300; so far I haven't got anybody complaining about poor voice sound when I talk, and I sure can hear everybody very clear. That is a lot to say because, normally, I have to set the volume on my electronics a little louder to hear better. With the Cardo Systems SCALA 500 Bluetooth Headset I don't have that problem at all. The battery works fine, it doesn't need to be recharged that often and it holds charge pretty good during calls. Overall, I am satisfied with the value and general function of this headset.

A gem ... but ..........2007-11-13

This is a great little unit. It does almost anything you could ask of a moderately priced BT headset. Syncs easily with my Razr V3, offers more volume than the phone I'm using with it, no complaints from the other party I'm speaking with, great reception (in a particularly bad cell location that I live in) and pretty comfortable on my ear for long periods of time. The finish of the thing being my only real complaint; the plastic casing around the speaker boom somehow cheapens the appearence -- reminds me of some of the whistles that came as prizes in CrackerJack boxes that I got as a kid. Otherwise, a flawless product. Sadly, I dropped mine on the sidewalk a half-step ahead of me and accidentally stepped on it, crushing the poor thing. So here's the litmus test question; Would I buy another? I can only say 'maybe.' As much as I like it, I can't help overcome the feeling that there's something out there that's better. Something that performs as well but offers an appearance of substance. I'm going to try a short list of other BT devices but at least I know that if I don't find anything better, I can always come back to the very affordable Scala-500, which is the standard I will refer to when comparing the others.

Cardo Systems SCALA 500 Bluetooth Headset - Holiday Pack, Free Car Charger Included
I have owned several Bluetooth wireless head sets from Standard to the Mini and they all seem to offer the same basic functions. The seperation is size, weight and fit. This is the one product I can wear all day and not be concerned about it flopping around or causing my ear to hurt after a prolonged session. The shape of the 500 plays a major role in the comfort of this product.

Good Headset.......2007-11-13

I purchased the Scala 500 Bluetooth Headset after looking at other recommendations. I've never owned one before so I'm not familiar with other designs. This headset does really well in windy situations and is very easy to use. It stays active for a long time, is easy to setup, smallish, and functional. Not too many features to confuse a novice and not too little to be ineffectual. I would definitely recommend this product.

not so great.......2007-11-08

I got this headset to replace a Plantronics Explorer 330 Easy-To-Use Bluetooth® Headset for all Bluetooth Enabled Phones that I washed(which was fantastic btw). Over all the functioning is fine. The wind control does not really work but the sound is generally clear and the battery life is good. However, the earpiece is very uncomfortable it is loose and feels like it is going to fall off. Its ok for short-term use but not something you can really wear for any length of time for example when you are not actually on the phone. I am currently looking into other options because I do not use this headset. It is more convenient to not use a headset at all than to use this one.

You Can Do Better Than This.......2007-09-18

I got this headset about 6 months ago. It worked fairly well for the first four months, although the volume control was somewhat erratic -- nothing that I couldn't live with. However, in the past two months the bluetooth connection drops out unpredictably even though the phone is no more than three feet away at all times. I know that it's not the phone (LG enV) since the connection between it and my Motorola stereo headset never drops.

Aside from that (which is a deal breaker in my book: if I had known that this would happen, I never would have bought this headset), the earpiece is fairly flimsy. I haven't broken it, but I've come close several times. I also noticed that the price on this headset has gone way up since I bought it at $29.99. Why? -- I couldn't tell you. But it's not worth it -- for $43, you can do a whole lot better.

Good Product for the Price.......2007-07-30

Had this unit for a few weeks now - previously had 2 Motorola units. It connects readily with my "Q" (much better than the Motorolas did). Construction is a little cheap & cheerful but it is lightweight and sits comfortably on the ear. Lanyard & hoslter great ideas if you are inclined to lose/misplace things (fate of my last motorola bluetooth). Wind guard technology seems to work also.

Negatives - call button stands out and is easily pressed accidentally. Max volume just about OK would appreciate more range. Callers say sounds a little hollow/tinny in use. The 'silicon cap' referred to instructions is not supplied you have to ask them for this (they sent me one on request).

Overall rating good for the price and value for money.
