Sprint Service
The Sprint Vision network gives you the power to access Web sites, view your email, and send a variety of text and multimedia messages. Sprint Mobile Email enables access to email from popular providers simply by entering username and password with no downloads required. You can also access Web-based email from such services as AOL and Windows Live as well as chat on IM networks. The T9 predictive text entry technology is built into the unit, which makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets--a plus for mobile email and text messaging users.
Sprint Navigation, powered by TeleNav, provides full-featured GPS navigation including voice and on-screen turn-by-turn driving directions and more than 10 million business listings (TeleNav unlimited requires data plan plus monthly subscription).
The optional Sprint Family Locator uses GPS technology to locate your child's phone and display the location on an interactive map, providing an inexpensive way for families to stay in constant touch. The application also provides an intuitive interface for text-message communication and account management from either the phone or the secure Sprint Family Locator web site. Convenient features like Safety Checks enable parents to receive automatic notification (via email or text message) at pre-scheduled times.
With the optional Sprint PCS Ready Link service, you can use this phone's two-way, walkie-talkie-style communication feature across the Nationwide Sprint PCS Network. As long as family, friends, or co-workers have a compatible Sprint PCS phone with Sprint PCS Ready Link service, you can call anyone, anywhere. And with the optional Wireless Backup service from Sprint, you can automatically store your phonebook contacts on the Sprint network, allowing them to be instantly updated in the event your phone is lost, stolen, or replaced. It also allows you to manage your phonebook contacts through a Sprint web page.

The Sanyo SCP-3200 offers dual LCD screens, with an interior 1.8-inch TFT display (128 x 160 pixels, 65K colors) and an exterior monochrome display (96 x 32 pixels), which enables you to quickly view incoming caller ID, time, battery and connection status, and more. The internal phonebook allows you to assign up to 300 entries, each storing seven numbers for a total of 500 numbers and up to 600 email and 300 Web addresses. It also offers a call history of 20 outgoing, incoming and missed calls
Instantly send and receive SMS text messages across the room or across the country, anywhere in the Sprint National Network. Send voice messages to any mobile phone or email address.--just select a recipient, record the message and send. The integrated still camera can capture images at up to a VGA resolution (640 x 480), perfect for shaving over Sprint PCS Picture Mail. My favorite cellphone so far...........2007-09-05
If you have a Sprint service plan and are looking for a nice inexpensive phone, then this is the one to get. This is my fifth phone in a two year period (I lose a lot of phones), and four of them have been Sanyo's. I would reccomend a Sanyo phone alone based on my experience, and the experiences my friends have had with other brands. Sanyo makes high quality stuff, and anything by them I highly reccomend because their phones are very sturdy and well-built).
I have barely begun to explore the extra features on this phone so far, but I am extatic that is an even better then my old pm-8200 (which was probably my old favorite phone). This phone just looks great, and has a wonderful speaker phone. If you love pink as well, this is THE phone too get. It is a nice magenta hue and the buttons are all pink as well. The display is a decent size (much larger than my SCP-3100). The keypad is a lot more sensitive too (which is really nice).
I really cannot reccomend this phone enough. If you want a nice phone for a nice price ($199.99) I suggest purchasing the Sanyo 3200. You will not be disapointed.!

This Sanyo kit offers a high quality cable that will access/sync/edit your phones Pictures, Ringtones, Phonebook, Calendar, SMS, Text Messages, File System, MP3. Also allows backup/sync to Outlook, ACT, Palm OS using it's universal export/sync option. Software is required to do all mentioned features. A FREE BONUS SOFTWARE is included that works for a majority of these Sanyo phones. The FREE software is not 100% guaranteed or supported in any way with this cable. The customer must have their own software if the included software doesn't work, or they chose not to use it. All features vary on each phone, there is no guarantee using the included cd and software, customer needs to realize that to use this on a computer, software is required and that they will need to provide software to use the cable correctly.

Software does not work for Sanyo SCP-3200.......2007-09-23
I purchased this cable and software to download the phone list from my Sanyo SCP-4900 and upload it to the SCP-3200. The download of the phone list from the 4900 worked well, but there does not seem to be a driver available for communicating to the SCP-3200. Other Sanyo drivers fail to detect the phone, making the software useless for phone book maintenance or picture downloads. If one simply wants a USB connection to charge their phone, then this will work for that purpose.
Not for Katana II.......2007-08-31
The product is as described, but does NOT work with Katana II phone. The computer recognizes it, but Sprint and Sanyo have made it proprietary and the drivers for the computer are not available. It is useless for my purpose.

I ordered this for my Katana DLX (SCP-8500) and though its written on this page that my phone is supported, its not. I updated the software, and still, it's not supported. Luckily I have 4 older katanas in the house that it works with.
