I got this phone as a free two-year upgrade from the base-model LG. So far I'm very pleased with it.
Pros: It's quite small and light compared to a lot of the other Verizon phones, has Bluetooth and a decent camera, and plays music. The styling is pretty cool, especially on the blue phone. Menus are easy to use. I particularly like the alarm clock -- it's much more insistent than the one on my old phone, very hard to sleep through. I haven't had it long enough to know for sure, but the guy at the Verizon store gave this phone high marks for reliability.
Cons: No external antenna, so reception can be a little weak, and you've got to be careful not to cover up the antenna area. The keypad is smooth, so it's hard to use without looking. It comes with hardly any ringtones -- Verizon clearly wants you to buy the pop/rap/etc tones, but I'd have appreciated some more midi-style tones. Also, the music control buttons are obnoxious (they're a smooth touchpad on the front of the phone, so while you're holding it you tend to touch them, and every time you touch them it plays a tone. So you either have to turn off keytones entirely, or live with constant tones. I'd have preferred an option to turn off the tones just for those buttons).
It sounds like a bunch of complaints, but they're minor things, and I'm really quite happy with this phone so far. It's a lot better than what I had before. If it lasts, it'll be worth 4 stars.
