Great pictures but problem with toner.......2007-12-21
I love the picture quality and use this all the time. However what happens is the toner cartridge runs out and I end up with many, many sheets of paper. Since this is a kit and you cannot buy the toner separate, The extra photo paper is wasted. The company said maybe I was doing this and that but I did exactly as they said and it did not fix the situation of too little toner for the amount of paper in this kit. Would I still buy it. YES.

Ink runs out before you finish all the sheets of paper. Sad, because you can't buy the ink by itself. Kodak is ripping people off. Hopefully a competitor will come up with something fast.

I purchased my Kodak Easyshare camera and printer two years ago, and have enjoyed being able to print pictures almost immediately after taking them. Recently attended a family reunion and brought printer along and was able to give everyone pictures I took during the visit. It was really nice to be able to do that, and everyone seemed to be very happy to receive them.

What is Family Radio Service (FRS)? In 1996, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) set aside one part of the FM radio frequency spectrum for use by small groups at short ranges. Use of this UHF range--from 462.5625 to 467.7125 MHz--is free and doesn't require an FCC license. (GMRS, or General Mobile Radio Service, does require an FCC license.)
When using an FRS radio, expect reception to be affected by the terrain--thick woods, buildings, and electrical sources will cut your range. However if you're transmitting to another radio from a mountaintop or other high point, you could reach someone up to two miles away.
Cobra's microTALK radios come with features that make using FRS simple and enjoyable. The Cobra FRS 220 microTALK features an automatic squelch that prevents the radio from activating until a voice signal is received. With squelch, you won't hear random popping and hissing from other electronic devices or atmospheric signals. The keypad lock prevents accidental pressing of buttons, and the call key allows you to signal anyone in your party with a distinctive tone.
This radio comes with all 14 available FRS channels plus 38 CTCSS subchannels, or "privacy codes," per channel. CTCSS codes are actually tones that "code" and "decode" a signal, allowing the people in your group to transmit on the same channel without having to listen to other radio traffic on the same channel. Note that these privacy codes won't keep others from listening to you--FRS users without a CTCSS code-enabled radio will still hear your transmissions. You willbe surprised to see that (2) one pair of these are located at iwon.com shopping area for sale at the price of $69.99,and if you have some of those cash points for playing their games that you no nobody ever won, the price goes from $69.99 less $13.00 cash points to cost you $56.99 and that is for the pair of the walkie talkies, not for just one as is this one.Since this is listed as Single, don't be mistaken, make sure you are buying a pair of them, otherwise you will be verymad with amazon.com Also,tell them here tolowertheir price alittle.LOL
the greatest radio.......2001-01-11
I recently purchased one of thies radios and it was exactly the one i was looking for. the size is great. it is the only radio that i can fit in a pocet without looking like i have big hips. all of the feachers are great to like the water resistant frame, the channle lock and the back lite. But the most importand thing is the channles and privacy codes. All of my frends got somthing with 14 channles and 38 privacy codes and i was stuck with a one channle radio. so I bought this. I think that it is the best radio anyone could ever hope for.

Tired of yelling for the kids or your better half? Looking for them in the mall, in the house or at the camp site. Then this is for you! I've been a radio hobbist for years and these little radios are neat! You can use over 340 'channel' combinations on 4 AAA batteries. But here's the rub, the batteries only last 24 hours or LESS total time. The range is pretty good for only 500Mv (about one-half watt) in the city I can go about 3/4 of a mile. Clean clear communications, no static and a neat 'call' button feature. For a family this is a great little radio. Don't expect to get the 2 miles as claimed, unless you are in the desert on open field. Get the rechargable battery packs and charger, you'll need it!

I just got these walkie talkies for the holidays. As soon as I opened the battery back thing, it broke off. But, otherwise its great for just talking to people. It has great radio reception and is loud and clear.

I just bought this radio not to long ago... I am VERY happy with it! It has features that the more expensive Motorola TalkAbout FR60 does not have, such as a lock (so if you have it in your pocket and a button is pressed mistakenly, nothing will happen!),LCD backlit display,a bendable antenna, and belt clips (you would have to pay EVEN MORE for this on the FR60)! It has excellent clarity, easy to use buttons, a Call button, 14 channels, 38 subcodes (so other people cannot annoy your conversation!), and much more! The only thing I would like on this Cobra is that it would have better clarity with people in a longer distance (about a mile and a half, you cannot hear at all, depending on the surroundins). I definitely reccomend this Cobra radio! If you are about to buy the Motorola FR60, drop your credit card and turn to the Cobra FRS 220 2-way radio!
