I've used the mount with a full size SLR and several lenses. A 70-400mm zoom lens is probably heavier than the mount was designed for, but I've gotten some good night shots using long exposures with it.
It's quick to set up and take down and less obtrusive than using a full size tripod.

The Celestron Car window mount worked beyond my expectations. Not only is it a very stable holder for binoculars, but it also can serve as a dolly for your home video cameras. The shots I've got look great!
The only thing is that I wish it were a little more heavy duty.. ie maybe not made from plastic parts. (the plastic is strong, it's just that it's plastic)
Mounting plate problem........2006-01-19
I purchased this window mount and it looked OK until I attempted to mount the plate on the camera. The one I received has a plastic folding handle on the camera plate mounting screw that is wider than the recessed area under the plate. Rather than ship it back I cut away the shoulders in the recess to provide room for the screw to turn.( Couldn't alter the handle as it has a metal pin that holds it to the screw) Then when the handle is folded down I have to use a screwdriver or knife to fold it back up as it fits so tightly in the recess that I cannot access it with my finger. The rest of it seems to work OK.

It soon became apparent after purchasing my Canon i70 printer that it was meant to travel, and that in a tiny briefcase. So, I purchased the CK-51 Cradle Kit mainly for the easily attachable, rechargable battery pack. Although I almost never use the cradle, the battery pack has never been taken off the printer once in the last four years. I can still print at least 25 or more pages of data on a single charge. Laptop and battery-operated printer have bounced all the globe with me, without a glitch. A most excellent addition to the Canon line of products!

I just purchased the Cannon Pixma IP90 Printer and needed it to be a mobile printer. This product was the answer to all of my needs. It was easy to assemble right out of the box. Assembly consisted of opening up the housing and inserting the battery. You then attached the housing/battery pack to the back of the printer and tightened it up with very large screws that were attached to the battery pack. You then have the option to attach the supplied cradle which will hold the printer in an upright position and plug in the ac adapter which came with the printer to the battery pack to charge it or you can leave the stand off and lay the printer down and attach the ac adapter that way. The intial charge on the dead battery took a couple of hours but after that you are good to go. The battery lasts pretty long as well.

Helps reduce the dew and stray light.......2007-02-08
I bought this when I bought the telescope to help with the dew and stray light for a CPC1100. In Austin Texas, the dew has been a problem and I have also needed a dew heater.
The fact the lens shade folds up is nice for storage. Sometimes the shade is a little tricky to attach.
I ended up buying a custom aluminum dew shield since it is a little more convenient to install and the aluminum shield has a cap useful for preventing dew when you want to leave the scope out (setup at night and observe in the morning).

I USE the camera case and extra battery. There is no instruction for the long cord. I am clueless as to WHERE to put the camera case when taking pictures. My best guess is that I slide it up; but it looks dorky.

I had an older model Canon Powershot and the case was red. Pretty much the same case and I loved it too. The black is kind of boring, plus it gets lost in the vast, deep blackness of the inside of my purse so I wish I had other color choices.

Very pleased with the metal strap. Exceptional quality and just the right length. Can take pictures without having to remove it from aroundyour neck. Canon battery and not some knock off. Case is of good quality leather and fits like a glove but lacks a pocket for a spare battery and SD-card. If the pockets were added you couldn't do any better.

I bought this accessory kit along with the Canon SD870IS, and I have to say that I am disappointed with the leather case. First of all, the case is a very tight fit-- and I mean very tight. There have been times when I accidentally opened the battery compartment door trying to get the camera out of this case. The flap doesn't close over the camera comfortably. It takes a bit of effort to get it to close. Also the camera strap is meant to be threaded through the hole on the flap-- this wouldn't be a major issue if you could access the camera without having to pull the strap completely back out of the hole to do so, but you can't. One reviewer said to just let the strap hang over the side, and normally I would agree to such a workaround, but with the extremely tight fit of flap over camera, I would strongly disagree with this suggestion.
I know Canon makes another case where the flap is over the length of the case as opposed to the "top" such as this case is. I know this because this is my second purchase of this identical camera-- I gave the first away as a gift-- and I found the other style of case to be a much better fit and much more comfortable to use. I'm not sure how this case fits with the other Canon models listed, but if you're thinking of getting this kit to use with the SD870, I would suggest you look for the horizontal case from Canon and not this vertical one.

I was searching for an extra battery for my Rebel XTI and came across this package deal. A high quality bag with a battery...how could I resist? The bag is on the large size if you only have one lense (which I currently do), but I plan on adding more lenses in the future, so I will grow into it. This same package deal was going for $10-$20 more at local big box electronic stores. Highly recommended.

This was a great deal on the carry case, filter and battery. It was selling for almost twice as much at Best Buy and Circuit City. The case is great Canon quality, original Canon battery and filter. I always like to have an extra battery handy and since in need of a case, this was a great deal and MAJOR savings on this set compared to everywhere else!

This is a good deal if you add up what you'd pay for each separately. I needed the battery for a Canon G9 camera and I could use the rest for a Digital Rebel camera. Everything is good quality. The only thing I wish was different is that the camera bag didn't have the shiny, silvery buckles on the straps. They seem to be very odd fashion accents--not a statement that I'd to broadcast.

This is a great bag for storing all of your camera components. There are pockets and dividers for just about anything you could need to carry. I use it as my bag at home to store all my camera equiptment. It should serve me well for many years.

I am very satisfied with this Canon accesssory kit. The case is high grade leather and is padded. The camera fits snugly with no chance of falling out. The battery is so long lasting that I was surprised that one so small could take so many pictures. It is the same high quality battery that came with the camera. The strap (actually a chain) is nice and long so you can carry the camera around your neck. This makes it handy to use at a moments notice and eliminates the fear of dropping the camera when you are rushing to get that special shot. I highly recommend this kit.
